he rarely went out anymore unless it was with them, he was always their plus one and usually they would break off for a little bit, and talk to other people. or at least they would talk to others while gabriel awkwardly stood off to the side, sipping his shitty beer while waiting for the right time to intervene. he takes a sip from his red cup, his gaze never averting from them as he watches the host of the party introduce themselves. it was clear that the host was laying it on thick, and trying his hardest to impress them and he had hoped that it wasn’t working. god, he hoped that it wasn’t working otherwise he knew he was going to just miss his shot once again. not that he had ever been brave enough to actually cross that line but, he felt like the possibility of doing just that was going to happen soon enough. he watches as the host’s hand moves to touch their face, and he can feel something inside him stir just from that. he chews anxiously at his lip, watching the two of them for a second more before finishing off the rest of his drink, dropping the empty cup to the ground. “ fuck it. “ he mutters to himself and makes his way over to them.  he doesn’t allow a single thought to process as he squeezes his way in between them, hand moving to push the host to the side.. “ excuse me. “ he moves his thumb below his friends chin to tilt their head up, sucking in a breath before he leans down and pressing his lips softly to theirs, crossing that line.  // @musicallyiinclined, based on this x

Also, not to ramble again, but,,, Luigi has burns on him after he gets out of the burning cage. You can spot injuries on him until the bros get the power star, which heals them both.

Mario was all beat up by Bowser, but Luigi was certainly not doing great either. He's been stuck in that very hot cage for probably several days without food. My boy was exhausted and likely suffering heatstroke, not to mention his mental turmoil. The whole experience most certainly left him with lasting trauma. Bowser look what you did, you filled these Mario Bros with so much trauma.
