Agatha Thought of the Day:

Thinking about this moment a lot today

and how this is probably the first time that Agatha has ever seen herself bleed (or at least the first time in centuries) where she can’t fix it.

Sure, there’s the slicing pain of Rio actually dragging the knife across her skin. And the first time Rio presses the knife against her throat and Agatha actually feels it, she starts to cry. But this moment right here is the first time that she actually sees the aftermath. She sees the blood and literally shakes with panic.

It’s so different to every other time we’ve seen her “lose”— with Wanda there was a stillness, a resignation, as she begged for her life. With Teen she always postures and falters, postures and falters. But in this moment with Rio, realizing that she is, indeed, vulnerable for the first time in maybe her entire life, it’s all desperation.

She pulls the pieces of herself back together and eventually builds that unaffected air back around herself (or tries to, anyway). But this moment is so special to me because Death is literally standing before her, and I think for the first time Agatha truly sees her life flash before her eyes. And she’s terrified.
