Sunni's Dedication Section

As of 10:05 this morning, I completed 'stage 1' of Sunni's Dedication Section on my TS2 web site. The pages, and screen shots, are available to look at now. I'll be spending this afternoon uploading, and linking, her items on each page in her dedication section.

got a new tube of gouache paint! Winsor & Newton's Cascade Green. You can see the tube colour pure in the top left swatch - the rest are mixes.

Teals are wonderfully fun pigments to work with because of this incredible breadth of mixes possible. Functionally, Cascade Green is working like a very highly saturated blue, giving me really vibrant greens, rich royal purples, and cool, elegant greys. Those singing purples in the last row are mixed with W&N Primary Red and Holbein Opera (both paints that do not like to rewet - especially the opera, hence the confetti of pigment in that one purple), the two yellowish olives with burnt umber and burnt sienna, and those vibrant glowing sky blues with various purples.

This colour is extremely hard to neutralize. the greyest two-colour mixes i could get from it still felt quite greenish, blueish or purplish. It's going to be a very fun addition to any limited palette because of that incredible flexibility.

I chose it over buying a replacement tube of Winsor & Newton's Turquoise Blue, a colour i used with abandon a few years ago, simply because i hadn't tried Cascade Green yet. Honestly, I think i prefer it - I'm getting richer mixes from it, even with my multi-pigment pastels. I wouldn't say no to owning both paints someday, but I'm definitely going to have fun with Cascade Green in the near future and I'm glad I gave it a try.

in terms of its dominance in a mix, it's as dominant as any of my of earth tones, but not quite powerful enough to stand up to spectrum red or perylene violet.

Ahhh this was actually just a page for testing out different colors for another drawing, but it turned out so nicely that i wanted to post it! I am on a hyperfocus train with ancient egypt stuff rn and i found those goooorgeous acrylic paints in my room. So it was perfect for this kinda stuff <33 I then had the idea to try out gold ink and i am in loooove! I def wanna use metallic accents more often now, it just makes things sooo much prettier. (shoutout to my mom for borrowing me her old egypt books as references and for infecting me with her passion for this topic as a child <33 )

Color Palettes (for any Program)

Color palettes I've made over the years. I can't transfer these out of CSP to other programs, so feel free just to use these as a reference image or manually add the colors to a palette on your program if you'd like. The names at the top detail what they are. You can find all these on CSP Assets if you're a Clip Studio Paint user.

If you copy these to something like photoshop & redistribute them, just mention me as the source and feel free to do whatever you want with them (hell, with the actual brand paints you don't need to mention me at all!). I'll reblog/shout you out on social media if you do, I like sharing more than hoarding for colors.
