This isn’t like my normal brush rec posts but I wanted to get something out quickly bc there’s an excellent curly hair brush pack on the CSP asset store for free rn! The sale’s going until July 1!!

Some of the terminology used here is a bit iffy (but that could be google translate), but as A Black Person, I really like the effort put into these brushes to accurately get our hair texture down.

I've been working on something and I'm so excited to drop it hehe... I made my first clip studio asset!!! It's a sugar jelly heart brush!!! I drew the candy myself and made color variations and looked up a tutorial for how to make it into a brush (i was intimidated by the thought but it was easier than i expected😳) Here's a sneak peak of my tests(colors not final)... I'll have it on the asset store soon hehe

What kind of brush do you use to draw fur in your drawings? I'm looking around but can't find anything nice. 😫

do you mean the brush I use for body hair? First of all I think I have to say that I work on Clip Studio Paint, lately I'm always using some brushes that you can find for free in the assets's section:

Watercolor1/カモミ琥珀糖水彩

for some reason I like to use the Watercolor n°5 for inking.

But sometimes I also alternate it with this one that gives me a more...uhm..."crispy" effect. I don't know it can help you but here we are!

for anyone curious, these are the brush packs i use for textured hair! 🤗

for extra flair and better readability, i use the border effect in csp, as well as locking the layers and adding lighter/darker curls for volume 🙏

Just wanted to share a fun Clip Studio Paint pencil that I have made some time ago. Light pressure can be used for shading and stronger lines work well as lineart. I recommend picking slightly lighter colours than intended to let the texture do its thing (like, dark grey instead of black).
