He was like a toxin. He got under your skin, you had him in your blood, in your lungs, in your brain. You breathed him. You let him in. You let him take over you, make you dependent on him.

You felt used up when you crawled out of his arms, when you stopped feeling the taste of his lips on yours, when you washed his fingerprints off you. But no matter what happened, no matter what you heard or what decisions you made, you always showed up at the door to his apartment when he called.

You allowed him to do a lot. Your skin knew his gentle and rough touch, kisses and bites, caresses and slaps. He took your breath away. He brought you to a state where you couldn't take any more. You begged with tears in your eyes for him to have mercy on you, when your mind almost screamed "more!".

You didn't exist without him. He was your beginning and he was definitely going to be the end. But you didn't know how painful it would be.

You showed up at the QZ clinic only when the contractions were getting stronger and you saw blood in your panties. Everyone avoided this place, and you had a hard time getting there, exhausted from lack of sleep. But what you heard completely swept you off your feet.

"It's a miscarriage." The man with a gray face and a few days of stubble wrote something down in the chart. "It happens. Your body wasn't strong enough to sustain the pregnancy. Alcohol? Drugs? What did you take?" All you managed to do was shake your head and mumble a quiet "Nothing."

The man in the white coat looked at you carefully and sighed.

"It happens." He repeated as if this one sentence closed the whole issue. "Poor nutrition, work, stress. All of these things affect the course of pregnancy. But you... You didn't know about it, did you?"

No. You didn't. Your body played a joke on you. Your period was late for a while, but you didn't pay much attention to it. That's what happens sometimes.

It happens.

You returned home after being given some medication, but none of it could help you with what you were feeling. Emptiness. Your mind couldn't comprehend or understand it. You didn't know what you were feeling or what you should feel.

Pregnancy. Baby. Joel's baby.

His face appeared in your eyes in an instant. You hadn't seen him in over a week. You weren't looking for him, he always found you. But should you even mention it to him?

"Fuck..." you groaned as you lay down on the bed that creaked under your weight.

Joel would be furious. Your relationship wasn't romantic, it was more like a meeting with a drug dealer who gave you something that only made you feel high for a moment. He was a smuggler, the best, but you also knew he could be ruthless. He always got what he wanted, and if not, he took it by force. He didn't hesitate, he didn't think twice.

His strength made you feel safe. At least that's what you thought. Your body was a small price you paid for this feeling.

You wondered if he was fucking you here or at his place, and that's where he put that baby inside you. He definitely didn't plan on it. Joel Miller would never want to have a baby with anyone, and certainly not with you. You would be just a burden to him, not to mention a squealing infant.

He showed up after more than a month. Suddenly, someone grabbed your hand on the street, and you immediately sensed that it was him.

"Are you looking for me?" he asked, moving closer to you.

You immediately felt intoxicated. The toxin began to seep into your ear.

"When did you come back?" you asked, your fingers tangling together.

"Two days ago." he replied, his other hand brushing a few stray strands of hair away from your face. "Did you miss me?"

"Did you find what you were looking for?"

You avoided answering his question, feeling that you would start to drown.

"Even more. But I won't bother your pretty little head with that. Do you have time?"

You did. You had been preparing for his arrival for a long time. But you were still afraid.

You took him to your apartment, because it was closer. As soon as the door closed behind you, his hands landed on you. Your back rested against his chest as his lips kissed your neck. You rolled your eyes.

The toxin was seeping into your system. Slowly.

"I missed you." the first lie "I've wanted to feel you for so long. Fuck... You smell like something sweet. What is it?"

"Flower soap." you replied, your hands clumsily trying to untie his grip "I managed to get in a while ago. Joel, I think we need to talk."

"Later, now I want you... Hey!"

You freed yourself from his arms and moved away to a safe distance. You saw the surprise in his eyes. Eventually, however, he cleared his throat and placed his hands on his hips.

"Okay then. Do you want to talk? Let's talk then."

"Joel, I..."

You were speechless. You had been preparing for so long, and now that you saw him in front of you, you couldn't find your voice.

His brow furrowed, he stared at you intently, but eventually he spoke.

"Have you lost your tongue?" he asked, "Listen, Y/N. We can talk later, right? There's no rush."

He took a step towards you, but your legs moved too, only in the opposite direction. He tilted his head, watching you with interest.

"Are we going to chase each other around the room now?" he asked.

"I wanted to..."

"To talk, I know. You've already said that." he interrupted you with a smile, "But you still don't get to the point."

"I'm leaving, Joel."

Your words hung in the air between you.

"Oh, are we going to do this again?" he finally sighed, shaking his head in disbelief. "Is this some fucking foreplay? Jesus! How many times have you said that?"

A lot. You knew exactly what he meant. You had said hundreds of times that you were leaving. Sometimes you had even shouted it at him. And then he would catch you, you would thrash around in his arms like a fish.

"Fuck you, Joel! Let go of me!" you would scream.

So he would throw you on the couch or the bed, and then fuck you almost until you were unconscious. Your brain couldn't think rationally anymore, and leaving him was impossible.

The toxin was spreading through your system.

You couldn't leave him. He would never let you do that.

"It's different now." You replied.

"Oh, really?" Joel sneered. "What have you thought up now, sweetie? What's going on in that sweet head of yours?"

"Something's changed. When you disappeared... Something happened."

A heavy stone fell into your stomach. You felt the tips of your fingers go ice cold.

"What happened?" he asked slowly, folding his arms across his chest. "Did you meet someone? Some fucking prick? Huh?"

You shook your head.

"Then what? What happened, Y/N? Spit it out!"

"I was pregnant."

Your lips barely moved, but you finally said it out loud. You could see Joel trying to understand what you had just said. His dark eyes followed your every move as if he was trying to catch you in a lie, but he couldn't find anything. He gulped.

"With who?"

"W-What?"

"Who were you pregnant with? Did you fuck someone?!" he roared.

His whole body tensed. At that moment, Joel was simply terrifying.

"Only with you." You replied, surprised. "That baby was yours..."

"Are you sure?" You nodded. "Fuck! You couldn't do one thing right? You had to get pregnant, right?" He grabbed his head and exhaled loudly.

"Oh! It's my fault now, right?!" You snorted angrily. "I got myself pregnant! Why would I do that, idiot? To create a perfect and happy family with you? Don't be ridiculous!"

You didn't want to laugh, but it just happened. Joel's reaction didn't surprise you at all. It was just as you imagined it. He wanted to blame everything on you, as if you had done everything on purpose.

"I had a miscarriage, asshole!" you continued "While you were running around, I was in the clinic because I thought I was going to die from the pain."

"But you're alive."

"No thanks to you."

He nodded.

"So what do you expect from me now?" he asked, spreading his arms "Am I supposed to apologize to you? Marry you?"

"Fuck, no!" you winced at the thought "I don't want anything from you, Joel. Although... Maybe you can do one small thing for me. Get the fuck out!"

You felt strong. For the first time in a long time. You saw and felt everything clearly. Your body was fighting, your mind was clearing.

But Joel wasn't going to give you up that easily. You were his. You belonged to him. He couldn't imagine you leaving and taking away his power.

No, he loved it. He loved your submission, your devotion and loyalty. He loved that you always came back, no matter how he treated you.

Times like these could only create relationships like this. And you were made for him, just perfect.

"Listen." he began, his voice seemed softer, friendlier "Let's start again. We should calm down, look at it all from a different perspective. Maybe... Just maybe, what happened is a new chance for us."

You didn't have time to answer as the door slammed shut behind him.

when a planet is in retrograde (rx), it appears to be moving/rotating backwards from our point of view on earth. it's important to note the planet is not actually moving backwards - it just looks that way because of its position in relation to earth and the sun. with that in mind, the sun and moon cannot be in retrograde.

when a planet is in retrograde, often it makes it harder to deal with its energy. it could cause a lot of internal conflicts that also impact connections with people throughout one's life.

having a planet in retrograde in your natal chart is not a bad thing or a bad placement - it just means one has to work a little harder to understand and harness the energy of the planet compared to ones that are direct.

this retrograde is what's most known when people talk about retrogrades. with this planet in retrograde natally, you could find it hard to communicate with others. this could be in that you have a stutter, or you could be too harsh or too passive when addressing others (depending on the sign). you could be too impulsive in your actions, or you could overthink and inhibit yourself from taking charge in your life. i could also see people with this planet in retrograde finding it hard to write and learn new languages.

𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐒

you could find it hard to fall in love and/or to find, be in, and maintain relationships of any kind - but especially romantic ones; it could take a long time for you to start dating compared to others. this planet in retrograde can also make it hard for people to develop and sustain self-love and self-attraction. you may not see yourself as handsome or beautiful and/or others may look down on you or ignore you because of your looks. this is another planet that could make it hard to get along with people because venus is also associated with harmony overall, but the issues with beauty and love are more prominent.

you could find it hard to bring your drive and passion to the surface. you could find it hard to be self-motivated and may prefer to take things slow throughout life and see how things pan out versus taking control. if you know the musical hamilton, you could be similar to aaron burr in waiting for things to happen to or for you versus making things happen. i could see natal mars retrograde manifesting as someone being asexual and/or having a low libido. you could have issues with bottling up anger, creating anger issues; if underdeveloped, i could see this leading to self-harm or other violent tendencies - this is not absolute

Erikson’s theory is called a psycho-self-reflexive, contextual process of finding and making meaning in the world.

It is not in conflict with scientific knowledge because, on the hermeneutic account, all psychological knowledge is concerned with this sort of understanding of our world (Verstehen), and not about explaining the universal laws of nature.

His theory charted changes in personality over the entire life cycle, rather than focusing on the early childhood years as critical to all later personality functioning.

Erikson proposed 8 stages of human development, each with its own normative crisis, by which he meant not a debilitating conflict, but rather a period of heightened vulnerability and potential.

He viewed human development as occurring in orderly stages, each with its own special characteristics and its own particular age relationship.

The stages always occur in a particular order and cannot be skipped.

His stages illustrate what Erikson termed the epigenetic principle.

Briefly stated, this principle proposes that critical elements of human personality have a ground plan from which they grow, similar to the physical growth principle by which the undifferentiated cells of embryos develop in orderly ways into organ systems. Thus, all human beings will face the normative crisis of trust versus mistrust in the period of infancy.

The resolution of this crisis leaves the infant with an abiding sense of either trust or mistrust that will become part of later personality functioning.

Each stage builds upon what has gone before and carries elements of itself into future stages.

Erikson’s contributions to psychology, particularly to the study of personality, can be divided into 4 major areas:

Successful reduction of the chemical manufacturing industry's environmental impact relies on finding a greener way to make the chemical building blocks for common and massively consumed compounds. It's no secret that manufacturing processes have some of the most impactful and intense effects on the environment, with the chemical manufacturing industry topping the charts for both energy consumption and emissions output. While this makes sense thanks to the grand scale on which manufactured chemicals are involved in daily life, it still leaves a lot to be desired for sustainability's sake. By focusing on renewable energy sources and alternative methods for creating the chemical building blocks of some of the most commonly used compounds, researchers hope to reduce the chemical manufacturing industry's footprint with some green innovation.

Leo Woman:

Title: “The Knockout”

For simplicity's sake, I will use the pronouns “he/him” for the male versions of the signs and “she/her” for the female versions of the signs. This is not to say that the people who identify with the male or female versions of each sign identify with those pronouns. This post is focusing on the different sexes (male vs female) not gender. Gender is fluid and I am in no way labeling people with these posts. Also, these posts are focusing solely on the Sun signs of each zodiac, other birth chart placements may cause someone to not fit into everything I have described.

The Sun rules the sign of Leo, which is represented by the authoritative Father Principle. Male Leos express this characteristic by having huge amounts of energy, an innate sense of ease, and a sense of entitlement. Female Leos express this as a revolt against the patriarchy, a call to leave the universally accepted patriarchal society that is dominated by men.

Typically, she is raised as a latchkey kid, with her parents mostly absent during the day.

She becomes a strong supporter of self-reliance because of this, honing her survivalist skills in the process of creating a stable home environment for herself.

There is oftentimes a dramatic reason for the absence of one or both of her parents. It is most times the mother who is absent in her life, due to divorce, death, or more often just emotionally absent in parenting the Leo female.

The Leo woman's father is most often strict and strong-willed, though has a more sporadic presence at home. In the extreme, he is a tough disciplinarian, dogmatic politically, religiously, or both, against whose dictatorial nature the little Lion girl privately begins to rebel.

Despite pretending to comply with her parents' rules, she disobeys them nonchalantly, secretly following her own path. Her path is rarely what you would expect.

Although she suffered from the strict temperament of her father, she often credits him with giving her the courage to stand up for what she believes in.

She focuses most of her time on her passions, usually those that involve stepping into some sort of spotlight.

It is easy for her to gain the respect of teachers and other grown-ups, due to her self-reliant nature.

It isn’t until she realizes that survival depends on cooperation with others, particularly with other females that she cultivates a pack of women who share the same ideals as her.

As the only fixed-fire female in the zodiac, she excels at pursuits that require sustained action and creativity.

If she sees a creative plan or concept that isn’t being done justice she will step in and develop it into something that fits her image of what it should look like.

It is her birthright as one born under the sign of wholeness and completion, to envision how a half-baked concept could be sufficiently fleshed out and then accomplished.

She isn’t always conscious of her tendency to usurp other people's territory. Regardless, she may easily gain a reputation for being commandeering.

The biggest lesson she will have to face psychologically throughout her whole life is learning when enough is enough. Megalomania is often her undoing.

She is infused with so much physical and emotional energy that she often seems larger than life.

She is haughty, cunning like a cat, somewhat savage in her movements, athletic, often exhibiting a defined musculature.

Her brand of beauty is often distinctly fiery, made all the more vivid by her style choices, as she often kits herself out in boldly revealing clothes, brightening her hair to a golden red or flaxen blonde.

Unlike the male Leo who guards his autonomy at all costs, the female Leo eagerly invites a circle of admirers who’ll unfailingly honor her inherent self-styled VIP status.

She is not generally loving, she saves her fervent devotion for just one or two lucky, and hopefully hardy, individuals.

More than most fully matured females, Leo remains devoted to one long-standing best friend from childhood, someone whose life should revolve around her, though rarely vice versa.

She doesn’t so much enter a room as storm it. Her vivacious body language is as eye-catching as her colorfully coordinated appearance.

Her voice stands out, a gravely honeyed growl that regularly crescendos into explosions of full-bodied laughter.

She is naturally fit, blessed with a low percentage of fat and a muscled physique.

There are moments in her life where she could put on some weight. However, that is usually a manifestation of a “blocked” emotional life; and often she’ll lose that weight just as quickly as she put it on when she deals with that blockage.

If she does, however, happen to be bigger than the average Leo woman that does not mean she will hide herself in baggy clothes. She will still be very confident and flaunt herself the way any other Leo woman will.

The Leo woman is generally beautiful, however, there is often a hardness to Leo's face that saves her from being considered ‘pretty’ by others.

Nothing about her body language suggests that she is insecure. She moves deliberately, with a natural grace that is slinky like a cat’s rather than delicate as a swan’s.

Leo woman interested in men is drawn to a man with ardent natures, who appear to wear their hearts on their sleeves.

Leo women are notorious for falling head over heels in love with a dark and dashing man. Blonde men usually are not someone whom a Leo woman thinks twice about.

She will typically lighten her own look up, however, to appeal to the men she likes. She goes for a look that most resembles the sun, golden hair, tanned skin, warm warm-toned colors in her wardrobe.

Men ruled by their hearts are those she seeks to capture.
