Author's Note: This was very much inspired by So High School by Taylor Swift. Not my best piece but it could be cute. I hope you guys enjoy it! Feedback is always appreciated

CW: a bit of a makeout session at the end, little bit of drinking

Summary: the BAU participate in a company baseball game but you aren’t able to play due to an injury from work so you cheer on Spence and the rest of the team.

It was like 199° outside; fahrenheit or celsius, it didn’t matter. all you knew was that it was hot as balls out and you had to sit out there to watch the rest of the BAU participate in a baseball game against another department from work.

You aren’t able to play due to an injury you sustained while in the field a week ago when the team was working on a case. It was basically due to clumsiness that you’re out of the game for a while. You managed to twist your ankle very badly. so you find yourself sitting on the sidelines, in hot ass weather, watching all your colleagues play an “exciting” game of baseball. Of course, you didn’t necessarily have to be there. You were there just to cheer on your favorite person. Although, he wasn’t the most athletic person out on the field, you hate to admit. But he was trying his best and you were proud as hell.

Spencer had been nagging you about how to play well in today's game, considering you used to play in high school and college. You tried to help him out the best you could but, at some point you two had to admit that it would take a miracle for Spencer to be a standout player out on the field. So you helped him by making sure he could make some contributions to the team with simple skills.

It was now almost the end of the game and spence was killing it. When you first sat down to watch the game, you were scanning the field for him and when you found him, you shyly hid from him, using your baseball cap as a shield to hide your blushing smile. You loved watching him from the sidelines, just cheering him on and screaming til your lungs hurt when he managed to hit the ball with the bat. You were so incredibly proud of how well he was playing. that was your man, and you couldn’t be happier. It felt like high school, being in the stands and cheering on your boyfriend who’s out on the field playing the most intense game you’ve ever seen. This love felt so lively and carefree, it was just love.

Every time you cheered for him and screamed, you could see his pink cheeks blushing harder each time, his eyes twinkling in the blink of an eye.

The game ended with the BAU team winning by a longshot, which was honestly surprising. You weren’t gonna lie, your team was pretty fit and in shape, but their baseball skills were questionable, but they pulled through and you were so proud.

After the game, the whole team went to a bar close by to celebrate and just hang out. The night was filled with laughter and teasing banter. Each one of them was absolutely battering the other for something that happened during the game. Everyone’s favorite moment though was when Spencer hit the ball quite far, and he decided that once he’d run the bases, he was gonna do a little dance and point to you to celebrate his amazing performance. The whole thing had you beaming with pride and joy.

While the team were speaking amongst themselves, you wanted a moment with just Spence.

“Tell me about the first time you saw me.” you’d said, head resting in the palm of your hand as you looked up at him.

He pursed his lips before speaking, “Well, it was your first day at the BAU. You put up this front that you were confident and that you already knew everything. But I know that wasn’t true.”

“What do you mean?”

“You kept tugging on your clothes as if they were choking you. You also kept fiddling with your bracelet. You know, you’re not very good at hiding your feelings for a profiler.” he laughed.

“Yeah, well, sorry, we can’t all be amazing profilers who can hide every little thing from everyone.” you let out a giggle.

“But I was also thinking about how pretty you are. Felt like I couldn’t breathe when I first saw you. You’re mesmerizing. It was like I was watching an angel appear before me. And I thought you were so cool. I mean, the way you carried yourself was impressive. I didn’t expect you to be so nice either. Your resting face makes you look a bit mean, but turns out you’re the nicest and most kind hearted person to exist.”

You turned to face away from him, trying to hide the fact that he was making you so flustered.

He moved to bring your eyes back to his, gently cupping the side of your face til he could see you again. Fuck. He had you wrapped around his finger and he knew it too. But you didn’t care. You would do anything for him.

The night ended with everyone heading home after a few drinks. You and Spence were walking to your car, hand in hand, just in a comfortable silence. He walked you to the passenger side of the car and opened the door for you. You thanked him and got in the car. Once you were nicely in the car, Spence closed the door and rounded the car til he reached the driver side and went in.

You two sat there, just staring at each other for ages. You couldn’t fathom that he was real, that he loved you, and that he was right in front of you. There was no doubt in your mind about him.

Spence broke eye contact to look around the parking lot to make sure the team weren’t watching before he pulled you close to him and kissed the life out of you. He’d grabbed the collar of your shirt and pulled you so close. His lips tasted of the mojito he’d drank, so minty and fresh. Lips so soft, you wondered if he’d applied chapstick before leaving the bar. You moved your hand to rest on the side of his neck, just to feel him. His hand moved up from your shirt collar to the back of your head, deepening the kiss. God, you were practically melting into him. It was getting hard to breathe but you didn’t want to stop.

No one’s ever had you like he did, and no one ever would. This was it for you. He’s the one you're gonna marry and spend the rest of forever with. He was your sun.

Leo Woman:

Title: “The Knockout”

For simplicity's sake, I will use the pronouns “he/him” for the male versions of the signs and “she/her” for the female versions of the signs. This is not to say that the people who identify with the male or female versions of each sign identify with those pronouns. This post is focusing on the different sexes (male vs female) not gender. Gender is fluid and I am in no way labeling people with these posts. Also, these posts are focusing solely on the Sun signs of each zodiac, other birth chart placements may cause someone to not fit into everything I have described.

Mind (how they think):

The Sun rules the sign of Leo, which is represented by the authoritative Father Principle. Male Leos express this characteristic by having huge amounts of energy, an innate sense of ease, and a sense of entitlement. Female Leos express this as a revolt against the patriarchy, a call to leave the universally accepted patriarchal society that is dominated by men.

Typically, she is raised as a latchkey kid, with her parents mostly absent during the day.

She becomes a strong supporter of self-reliance because of this, honing her survivalist skills in the process of creating a stable home environment for herself.

There is oftentimes a dramatic reason for the absence of one or both of her parents. It is most times the mother who is absent in her life, due to divorce, death, or more often just emotionally absent in parenting the Leo female.

The Leo woman's father is most often strict and strong-willed, though has a more sporadic presence at home. In the extreme, he is a tough disciplinarian, dogmatic politically, religiously, or both, against whose dictatorial nature the little Lion girl privately begins to rebel.

Despite pretending to comply with her parents' rules, she disobeys them nonchalantly, secretly following her own path. Her path is rarely what you would expect.

Although she suffered from the strict temperament of her father, she often credits him with giving her the courage to stand up for what she believes in.

She focuses most of her time on her passions, usually those that involve stepping into some sort of spotlight.

It is easy for her to gain the respect of teachers and other grown-ups, due to her self-reliant nature.

It isn’t until she realizes that survival depends on cooperation with others, particularly with other females that she cultivates a pack of women who share the same ideals as her.

As the only fixed-fire female in the zodiac, she excels at pursuits that require sustained action and creativity.

If she sees a creative plan or concept that isn’t being done justice she will step in and develop it into something that fits her image of what it should look like.

It is her birthright as one born under the sign of wholeness and completion, to envision how a half-baked concept could be sufficiently fleshed out and then accomplished.

She isn’t always conscious of her tendency to usurp other people's territory. Regardless, she may easily gain a reputation for being commandeering.

Her brand of beauty is often distinctly fiery, made all the more vivid by her style choices, as she often kits herself out in boldly revealing clothes, brightening her hair to a golden red or flaxen blonde.

Unlike the male Leo who guards his autonomy at all costs, the female Leo eagerly invites a circle of admirers who’ll unfailingly honor her inherent self-styled VIP status.

She is not generally loving, she saves her fervent devotion for just one or two lucky, and hopefully hardy, individuals.

More than most fully matured females, Leo remains devoted to one long-standing best friend from childhood, someone whose life should revolve around her, though rarely vice versa.

She doesn’t so much enter a room as storm it. Her vivacious body language is as eye-catching as her colorfully coordinated appearance.

Her voice stands out, a gravely honeyed growl that regularly crescendos into explosions of full-bodied laughter.

She is naturally fit, blessed with a low percentage of fat and a muscled physique.

There are moments in her life where she could put on some weight. However, that is usually a manifestation of a “blocked” emotional life; and often she’ll lose that weight just as quickly as she put it on when she deals with that blockage.

If she does, however, happen to be bigger than the average Leo woman that does not mean she will hide herself in baggy clothes. She will still be very confident and flaunt herself the way any other Leo woman will.

The Leo woman is generally beautiful, however, there is often a hardness to Leo's face that saves her from being considered ‘pretty’ by others.

Leo woman interested in men is drawn to a man with ardent natures, who appear to wear their hearts on their sleeves.

Leo women are notorious for falling head over heels in love with a dark and dashing man. Blonde men usually are not someone whom a Leo woman thinks twice about.

She will typically lighten her own look up, however, to appeal to the men she likes. She goes for a look that most resembles the sun, golden hair, tanned skin, warm warm-toned colors in her wardrobe.

Men ruled by their hearts are those she seeks to capture.

Safe house

There's a rumour about the mob family, ruling over a bustling port city. A five generation enterprise with loyal followers, deep pockets and enough hands and brainpower to rule the city from behind the veil of legality.

Legality that is build on bribes, threats and politics going back decades.

The next generation of Desoto family was getting ready to step into power, to rule as their right was, when there was a betrayal. A right hand of the oldest child of Desoto head, known only as Wraith on the streets, spilled their guts out to the law.

Became a little song bird, spilling secrets.

Now the old man Desoto is sitting behind bars, waiting trial and the family is for the first time having to face consequences of their actions. But why were they betrayed?

On the other side of the country, in a middle sized town, in a new suburb called Avalon Acres a new couple moves in.

It’s not a surprise. Avalon Acres is everything a person could want. Outdoor activities, enough life to sustain multiple local businesses and actually four different seasons to enjoy. The modern white architectured houses built into the hills and woods certainly attract all manner of life.

Condemned

Mario's life was actually going quite well right now. He had successfully completed his university studies. He had gotten a well-paid and challenging job. And he had even found an affordable apartment just three subway stops away from his office. The only thing that bothered him was that he hardly ever got any exercise. In college, he had had an athletic body. Now he had lost a bit of muscle mass. What he would give to get back in shape, he thought to himself as he climbed the stairs from the subway.

At the top of the sidewalk, unmistakably squeezed into bright red skin-tight compression garments, stood a simply stunningly handsome young man at a promotional booth. He held out a drinking cup to Mario. "The ultimate way to get in shape quickly and sustainably," he said, smiling the brightest smile imaginable. Mario took the cup, smiled back and kept walking. Wait, had the young man's eyes just lit up red? Mario turned around. There was no more booth. "I really need a vacation," Mario thought to himself.

When he arrived at the office, it was meeting after meeting. Mario had already forgotten about the cup he had left on his desk. He only remembered it when he was packing up his things after a long day. He took a closer look at the cup. It was a cup like the one he had used in the gym. He unscrewed the lid. Inside were several small pouches containing a powder. An accompanying note that recommended taking one sachet in the evening with water instead of dinner, and consuming one sachet during each workout. And a gift certificate to a gym in the middle of nowhere in New Jersey. It was too late for dinner now anyway. So Mario filled the cup, poured the contents of a pouch into the cup, screwed it shut and shook. The cup glowed red for a moment. Mario took a first sip. The taste was no different from most energy drinks. On the way to the subway, Mario drank the cup down. And at home, he took the stairs to the tenth floor. Fuck, yes, this stuff gave energy.

At 04:00, Mario was wide awake. If he wanted to work out before the office, he had to leave now. It took him an hour to get to the gym, an hour back. And he wanted to lift iron for at least two hours. On the subway, he realized he didn't have anything with him except his laptop bag. Was that normal? It felt normal… When he entered the gym at 05:00, Steve grinned at him at the front desk and greeted him with a fistbump. "If I had to bet on who would come first today, I would have bet on you," he said. Mario grinned back and replied that nothing comes from nothing. As he walked remotely into the locker room, he wondered if he had really been here before… He walked to his locker and opened the padlock, just as he had done it felt hundreds of times before. He undressed, hung his suit, shirt and tie in the locker and took his training clothes. All still damp from the last workout. Superhuman speed: Eve could outrun a regular Cheetah if she wanted to (known to run as fast as 70 miles per hour) by speeds as high as 80 to 90 mph.

Superhuman senses: Eve’s senses are about fifteen times stronger than an average human and 7,5 times more potent than an average cat. She has no problems finding her way in the dark, seeing as well as if it were daylight. Her hearing is so acute, Eve can hear a pin drop at a range of 50 feet, even if other noises are surrounding them. Her sense of smell is highly developed; it’s easy for her to sort through various odors to follow a target’s trail. She can even tell a person is lying due to subtle scent changes in the composition of sweat. Eve’s also very acutely aware of other people’s moods.

Bio

Eve was born in Athens to wealthy parents, also known as Aristoi, making her Greek nobility. Her parents had trouble conceiving and turned to their patron deity Aphrodite for help, who then blessed the family with a daugher that had a beauty that could rival her own.

When Eve came of marrying age, tragedy struck her family, and Eve was abducted by a wealthy brothel owner and her household decimated. For two years, the man did and let other people do unspeakable things to her, until Zeus, in the guise of a young wealthy patron paid the man a wealthy sum to hire her services as a hetaira.

When he revealed himself as Zeus, after gaining her trust, he offered her immortality and powers in exchange for her becoming one of his wives. Stuck between a God's offer and the risk of his wifes' wrath or certain death if she went back, Eve accepted his offer. Besides immortality, he gave her the ability to shapeshift into an animal he thought fit her, which was an Albino Snow Leopard, so he could sneak her into Olympus without Hera noticing. While being okay with that power, and Zeus restoring her body and hands to their original unharmed state, Eve negotiated two other powers: The ability to charm people and animals with her voice, and she wanted to be fireproof, both powers in relation to her trauma. Zeus agreed, but made it so she could only charm humans and animals. After all, he couldn't have her charming him.

Soon enough Hera showed up on her doorstep. While she was furious, she saw an opportunity to get back at her husband and to grant Eve her revenge on her previous captor. While she granted Eve superior agility, speed, reflexes, strength and better senses than her animal counterpart, she also left behind a few not so nice surprises Eve would eventually discover on her own.

After enacting her revenge, Eve stayed at Hera's side until the Greek Pantheon fell and Hera set her free so she could find her own way in the world.

Portal to the Forgotten Realms

In a desperate attempt to be together with Elijah Mikaelson and to be rid of Klaus, Eve travels to New Orleans to find anything that can help.

As she explores the French Quarter, a small shop catches her eye, tucked away between a bookstore and an antiques dealer. There was a strange energy radiating from it, and Eve notices that no one seemed to be aware of its presence there, save for her. Intrigued and drawn to it, she enters the building, the door creaking open and the ring of a little brass bell chiming through the space alerting whomever owns the shop that a new customer has arrived. When no one shows, Eve decides to browse it on her own.

The shop itself seems to be a lot more spacious on the inside than it looked on the outside, and while the outside didn’t give anything away, the inside seemed to be an art gallery of some sort, with pristine white walls covered in paintings of all shapes, sizes and subjects. There were also easels of differing sizes, displaying artworks as well.

“Klaus would love this place,” she mutters to herself, her eyes scanning the art.

As she moves through the space, a canvas set on an easel catches her eye. It’s an oil painting named “The Forgotten Realms,” and depicts a big, lively city surrounded by water. As she studies the artwork, it feels like it’s alive, as if it’s moving in front of Eve’s eyes. Fascinated, she reaches out to touch the canvas, and her fingers make contact, the surface ripples as if it’s water, its watery tendrils snaking around her hand and arm, forcefully dragging her through the surface. Eve leans back, pulling and tugging against the tendrils to break herself free, to no avail. Eve is yanked through, tossed about, twisted and turned around as if she’s in a centrifuge, and then spat out on a beach near what is known in Faerun as Wyrm’s Crossing, between Rivington and Baldur’s Gate.

With no clue where she landed and no knowledge of the customs, religion or the people, she wanders into Rivington. Her attire earns her some strange looks, so with her ability to charm people, she gets herself some clothes, money and food. She finds her way into the city, securing herself a place to stay, and while she tries to find a way home, earns her keep as a bard, until she is abducted by a Nautiloid, waking up on the beach near Emerald Grove soon after.

Dark urge

The Dark Urge in my version of the game is dead, murdered by Orin in her chambers. When Eve lands in Westeros, with her bloodlust, Bhaal senses her presence, and knows her to be his true heir, even though she is not from the same plane of existence, and she is immortal, which Bhaal cannot change. That of course, doesn’t matter to the God, because he wants her all the same, given that she who travels between dimensions could make his grand plan even grander.

At first, Eve doesn’t feel any different, until she kills for the first time to sate her urge, and it isn’t enough, as if her desires have been amplified, voices in her head whispering to her to kill, to spill blood.

There’s two ways this can go: Eve resists the urge, breaking free from Bhaal’s plan for her, or she is seduced by his darkness and embraces her future of bloodlust.

Targaryen Chronicles ( Werecat AU)

Instead of going to New Orleans, Eve puts her trust in Elijah, who is working tirelessly for them to be together. When he chooses to save Klaus during the sun and moon ritual in Mystic Falls, Eve, feeling heartbroken and betrayed decides to leave, wearing an amulet made by Bonnie to ensure no one can use magical means to find her.

For about a year, Eve travels the world, and then settles down in Konigswald, a small city in the Black Forest near the German Swiss border. This is where she meets the Targaryen family (mainly Aemond, Daemon and Aegon) for the first time. They're immortal like her, chosen by their God to serve back in the day, and natural born Albino Snow Wereleopards.

Summer Style: Pretty in Pink

Harvey's summer outfits have really popped lately with some intriguing pieces in pink! Even better, these items come from companies with mission statements that tie into some element of Harvey's style ethos. So here's a rundown of all the fun & thought-provoking summer style he's been serving.

Wolf & Badger Juliette Kimono

This flowy, handmade chiffon kimono by Jennafer Grace screams summer relaxation. It features peachy-pink flowers on a blue-white background, and originally came in sizes up to a women's XXL (it is unclear what measurements this translates to, as the website's size guide does not provide them). All sizes except for M and L are currently out of stock. It retails for $175.

Jennafer Grace is an independent designer based in San Diego, California. She specializes in handmade, eclectic garments and accessories inspired by vintage style and cinema. Wolf & Badger is a B-corp certified business that sells clothing from independent brands worldwide. They prioritize sustainability and ethical production practices.

LungeMan Electric Pink Swim Trunks

Though of course there is margin for error whenever we cannot see specific labels or defining features, it appears that these trunks are the Electric Pink LungeMan shorts from Sleeves Sold Separately, a family-owned athletic wear boutique based in Southern California.

The LungeMan is described as a retro gym short that doubles as workout shorts or swimming trunks. The shorts are made of a stretchy nylon-spandex blend with a low-cut elastic waistband, moisture-wicking liner, zippered back pocket, and a 4-inch inseam. They are designed to be comfortable while also being fitted, to allow the wearer to show off their legs. As such, the cut is tailored for men with larger glutes and thighs, and comes in sizes up to XXL (37-38-inch hip). They are currently low in stock, with sizes M and XXL being out of stock entirely. They retail for $75.

The founders of Sleeves Sold Separately, Naomi and BJ, say they aim to provide athleisure apparel that celebrates the masculine body, a goal stemming from BJ's own struggles with weight, body image, and fashion. As a both a kid in a larger body and an adult in a thinner body, BJ says he struggled to find any fashion options that made him feel confident and like his body was being celebrated. (A personal note: While I don't agree with the way BJ implicitly equates fitness with a smaller body on their about page, I definitely sympathize with the struggle to find clothes that make me feel confident, and celebrate any company working to alleviate that struggle for others.)

Affordable Options

Technically, the trunks already fall into the "under $100" affordability threshold. But here are a few other options as well!

Hot Pink Beach Shorts - $9.96 from Walmart, available in sizes up to XXL (45-inch waist).

Neon Pink Swim Trunks - $55 from Coastal Cool, available in sizes up to 3XL (45 5/8-inch waist, 52 3/4-inch hip).

It was surprisingly difficult to find any full-length chiffon kimonos that matched the vibe and quality of the one Harvey wears above. In the end I only found one, and it didn't meet the affordability threshold.

a definitive guide to mastering the sex and the city aesthetic

PART 1!

part one: disclaimer

sex and the city has to be one of the most absurd shows when it comes to realism, and i watched friends. four beautiful young women, single, with impeccable style and a seemingly endless amount of money parading around town all day as if they're unemployed. and yet, they are employed! all of them! i think that's the part that i find hardest to believe. nobody has enough time to do what they do, but, hey, that's the beauty of television. so, this is a disclaimer. while you can master the satc mindset and act, look, and feel (more or less) like carrie bradshaw, there's gonna be some disconnect.

part two: style

now, i started watching satc pretty recently, but i know that what i heard most when bringing this show up for discussion was FASHION, FASHION, FASHION! this is definitely a huuuuuuge part of mastering the aesthetic, in my humble opinion. a key aspect of the carrie bradshaw effect is her incredible stylistic choices and her ability to pull them off (despite some obnoxious patterns). so, here's my two cents on how to feel like you're in the show--- through fashion!

for one, they seem to wear a lot of tight fitting clothes. i don't see a lot of baggy jeans (or really jeans in general), or pants or even baggy tops. carrie, for example, wears a lot of tight-fitting tank tops, usually bra-less. they're usually paired with maxi skirts or shorts or something of the sort. what really struck me about their fashion choices was that they made sense. this might be an unpopular opinion, but i'll expand on it anyway. though the characters do explore with some strange clothing and pattern combinations, the types of clothes that they're wearing make sense for the activity they're doing. well, except for carrie wearing heels to walk around the busy streets of manhattan. but, for example, within the scenes that they're at the gym, doing pilates, running, or doing any other form of exercise, they're wearing that common 90's look that i saw a lot of in friends. this means tight tank tops and athletic shorts or sweats. pair that with a pair of old-school looking headphones (wired headphones, which are a staple of a lot of my outfits!), and you've got your workout outfit. to find clothes id probably go for a thrift or antique store (do they even sell clothes there?). as for more popular stores, i'd stay away from places like forever 21 and h&m unless you're looking for basics, because their clothes are gonna be stagnant in the TRENDY area. overall, just look at pinterest and curate a board that inspires your clothing taste. individuality is a huge part of the girls style. but, the main idea im trying to get across here is stay close to simple clothes, stay away from fleeting trends, and find pieces or patterns that call out to you!

if you really want to stay true to the show, look up common 90's trends. staple pieces i would recommend are:

dainty, classic rings

sustainable jewelry that doesn't turn your skin green. invest in your jewelry! (bracelets, simple necklaces, earrings)

basic clothing pieces without patterns (tank tops, graphic tee's, tube tops--- carrie is very fond of strapless shirts and dresses!)

dresses, simple and ones with patterns. stay away from fast fashion, invest in clothing that lasts!

maxi skirts!!!!!

shorts. shorts are good. jean shorts, athletic shorts, comfortable shorts, all of it! theres all sorts to fit whatever occasion.

buttons ups are perfect if you need a thin, fashionable jacket or an oversized shirt. they come in all sorts of stripes and patterns to fit your mood.

a few different pairs of sunglasses in different shapes

for charlotte lovers--- glasses with thick, black, circular rims. if you don't need prescription glasses, look into blue light glasses or glasses intended for fashion specifically. also pearl earrings!

heels, heels, heels! who cares what people are wearing now-a-days? I'm frankly tired of cute outfits paired with converse or air forces.

invest in a few "going out outfits". this means glittery dresses, short skirts, small, tight tops, and extravagant jewelry.

it's also important to remember that they look good in a lot of their outfits because they're VERY skinny. and very fit.

it's equally important to remember that they had a lot of money (somehow), and were spending it on expensive clothing from high-end stores. that's not to say that you cant replicate it under a tighter budget!

part three: attitude

if i can get ONE idea across through this entire post, it's that attitude and mindset is the most important part of mastering any aesthetic. have you ever watched a show, and right after you feel like you're living in it? you act, move, talk, and think like the characters? yeah, that's because we mock what we see! so, see it! master that mindset! the best and easiest thing you can do to feel like you're a character in the show is to WATCH THE SHOW. take note of their actions and how they handle themselves. their mindsets, all of it. it's all key to acting and feeling like the characters you wanna be. if you wanna be like charlotte, focus on her. if you wanna be like carrie (maybe don't be exactly like carrie), watch how she handles herself. once again, i'll stress my love for pinterest. create BOARDS! create physical vision boards or collages or journals if you're more into working with your hands and having a physical product. cultivate the kind of person you want to be, there's about a million different images and thoughts that you can take for yourself out there.
