Look, I get that the Gaza crisis is a real thing and a big deal. But sending me DMs asking for money is not the way to go - you just come off as a potential scammer. There’s way too many red flags from this.

I know your cause may be legitimate, but people could very well be using this to scam money for themselves. It’s scum of the earth behavior, but it exists, so yeah.

When I make a charitable donation of any sort, I’ll do it thru verified channels I can trust, not some random GoFundMe I get sent a link to.

Aaaaaand I just had to block someone who's been engaging in my Fallen London works and even made me nsfw art because they turned out to be a minor.

I can understand being a fan of stuff geared towards adults, I watched, read, and played so much stuff not meant for me as a teenager and I have no regrets. I can't even claim I was perfectly safe about it considering all the fics I wrote and started on before I turned 18. But as an adult I do not want to talk to teenagers about said works (especially Light Fingers), it's not enjoyable for me and it's not safe for them to be doing this shit. Knock it off.

Love comparing and contrasting my two main d&d characters.

Like. Snaps (9 cleric) is a liar. A good liar. She never lies outright; she’s an obfuscator and omitter. She’s a good aligned character who just happens to be very good at gently and politely directing conversations away from uncomfortable subjects. While she hasn’t outright lied about anything harmful, she has revealed next to nothing about her past or culture. After almost four years of the campaign, her party was amazed to learn that she has 16 Charisma.

As a tabaxi, I have tried to instill a cat-like air of mystery to her and it has become a defining trait. I even worked secrecy and stealth into her people’s customs. Snaps needs to feel in control. I think that on some level, she needs to be in control of information and enjoys being the revealer of secret things on her own terms. And she’s about to dip a level into bard and get even better at it.

Then there’s Zephyr (20 druid). While her Charisma is better than average (12), she doesn’t have any charismatic proficiencies and I consistently roll like dog shit every time she tries to use a Charisma-based skill. She couldn’t manipulate someone to save her life. When she has tried to hold information back and was pressed about it, she crumpled like a wet paper bag. Over the course of her campaign, she was wise enough to reach a level of self-awareness and just started taking the path of down-to-earth, frank, no-bullshit honesty.

In situations where subtlety and deception may have been the easier- wiser course, she started by laying out the full truth and then strong-arming her way to victory. Easy to do when you have the power she has as a circle of the moon archdruid.

I just… I just really love my characters and how they have evolved.

I cannot fully convey the wonder and majesty of the DnD session last night. But my betrothed DMed a one shot for us, and our regular DM played a character called Red Star. It was a kidnapping mystery where my betrotheds character got stolen away and we had to find her. As we ruled out suspects I was looking harder and harder at Red Star as Suspect Number One but due to a roll where we both nat 20’d nothing could be solidified. Also wtf I’ve never had contested nat 20’s in a roll off

So Red Star convinces the party to go shake up this local gang who he insists is involved. The gang is utterly unprepared and we start tearing through them. But Red Star takes a hit and his appearance wavers and after a really tense internal debate I was like. “I stab Red Star”

His player looked so incredulous, “You stab Red Star?!” For a second he was so genuinely dismayed that I actually questioned the fact that I’d just stabbed a party member.

But it turned out Red Star was a stalker my character had cut ties with a year ago for getting romantic inclinations even though my character is a sex worker with clear boundaries. He had established a new persona with alter self, kidnapped her actual love interest, and sicced the party on some unsuspecting thugs to try to go on a heroic adventure with her and win her heart.

It was so juicy and convoluted but I keep seeing my friends face wailing, “You stab Red Star?!” And it’s like the Miette meme. You stab Red Star? You stab his body like the villain? Oh! Jail for Orion! Jail for one thousand years!
