Hey Shaz!
Please help me I don’t understand:
so one rumour about JK Yoongi and Jimin in Hongdae going to a noodle restaurant. Then later another rumour but this time of just Jimin and Yoongi going to a sushi restaurant near (like one block away ) from Brunen. This one with receipts because we have their autographs.
Then we have Jikook accounts saying they are sorry for spreading false information, saying that Y, JM and JK weren’t in that restaurant, only JM and Y at the one in Brunen was true. (Something about a click bait YouTube channel).
I’m a little confused because to me these two facts can exist together. Like one dinner with JK JM and Y on maybe the 20 th and the next day Jimin and Suga went to sushi or lunch and dinner on the same day.
Am I (again) being delulu? What did you understand of all this?
Have a nice dayđŸ«¶
Hello my dear. Yoonmin are confirmed for sure. Yes. But this is also what I know; 😁
1) Not too long ago a witness saw 3 people leaving a restaurant. But, they recognised JK (barely) but not the other 2. Later the restaurant confirmed it was JK and Eunwoo. Didn't say anything about the 3rd person.
I, speculated that it was possible for person number 3 to wanna stay unknown. I also speculated person 3 was Jimin. My speculation was due to the fact that Jimin and JK came back online at the same time. (Difference in hours, but still) JK on Tiktok, and Jimin posting a photo of Namjoon's Billboard or bus stop thingi. Anyway y'all remember it. That thing had been there for long enough so Jimin seeing it just when JK was back from Busan, made me conclude they had BOTH just come back from Busan. So fast forward to today and it brings me to point
2) We had at least 5 different people, (that I saw) all saying Yoonminkook had lunch together. A few hours pass and the only proof that shows up is of Yoonmin having been the ones at this restaurant. Nothing on JK or his signature. Just Jimin and Suga. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Kind or like what happened in Busan not too long ago?
Tumblr media
But then, how do you explain,
3) That the restaurant Yoonmin ate at is like a 4 minute walk from JK's?
Look, we don't have receipts on who was was where doing who what, all I know is things should be more straightforward than this. And when Jikook are involved and things smell funny, it just makes me even more confident with any theories I may have. Because when it's other members things are always cut and dried. You know what I mean?

Chapter One: The Dinner?
Tumblr media
Sushi Saito — Senopati, Jakarta Selatan
"So what happened?"
"What do you mean?"
"What do you mean, what do you mean? Something is troubling you, even someone as clueless as Mark can see it." Natalie menoleh ke Mark, "no offense babe."
"None taken. You're not being yourself right now." Mark pun mengimbuhi pertanyaan Natalie.
"You guys know that I was supposed to attend an important 'dinner' with Joey's family as well, right?"
"Yeah, was wondering why you weren't there honestly." Mark menjawab mewakili Natalie.
"Well, long story short, I am not fond with all the guests. Except for Joey and his fambam yah."
"Whoa, that's harsh. Bukannya koneksinya malah bagus buat lu?" Tanya Mark penasaran.
"Well... honestly some of them are okay, but most of them are shady as fuck. So yeah. Besides, I'd rather be here with my best mates daripada harus pura-pura sandiwara di depan mereka."
"Also, I've been feeling rather... unwell."
Natalie mengernyitkan dahinya, "unwell as in..."
"Yeah, I've been getting those flashbacks again. You know, the infamous LA incident." Seketika ekspresi Gabriel murung kembali.
"Oh Gab. Are you okay?" "Hey, it's okay if you don't wanna talk about it, though."
"Haha that's alright Mark, kayaknya Nat belum cerita banyak ya? Sorry it's kinda complicated." Gabriel hanya memaklumi reaksi Natalie ke Mark barusan. Sepertinya rahasianya aman, ia harap.
"Bro, kalo lu butuh cerita brother to brother, just let me know lah. You're not a stranger to us."
"Okay okay, deal bro."

May 31 - Ueno Park and Tokyo National Museum/Akhibara/Yurakucho
What a successful day! We started at Ueno Park where we saw the Ueno Toshogu Shrine and walked over to the Tokyo National Museum. The museum is home to over 600 of Japan’s national treasures and featured a special character- the haniwa. Afterwards, we had lunch in the street next to Ueno park where I had izakaya and tried a lot of new and yummy food. Then, we headed to Akihabara where I got to see an NSFW manga collection and then play some gatcha. I was about to freak out when I dropped 1,000 yen on crane machines and didn’t get anything- but on the last 100 yen I finally secured a tote bag. After resting in the hotel, I went out for dinner with Julie and Casey at a local sushi spot and the owners loved Julie, sending us off with free treats! Lastly, we went to Yurakucho to explore because I saw a tiktok saying its a great spot for photography. The area was a lot more lively and fun than I thought it would be and I had the best cream puff ever.
In the Tokyo National Museum, I saw a “Lid Rest Shaped Like a Crab with Bamboo” which was from the Edo period and made from Bronze. It is part of the tea ceremony and when the host removes the kettle’s lid, it would be put on top of this holder shaped like a crab. I was really intrigued by it because although it is so small, it is incredible intricate and combines the use of practicality and art. It also said in the blurb that the lid holder can reflect the seasons or means of the tea ceremony, which I find very interesting. For such a serious art, I think a crab holder can be a little unserious. Lastly, I found that a lot of other pieces in the museum were very large so this tiny piece grabbed my attention.
Academic Reflection
In Azuma’s Database Animals he discusses how characters to otaku are not revered to the point of idolization, if ever there is a set of characteristics that many characters hold that can be parodied, copied in other works, and this practice is enjoyed by many fans. For instance, in my mind, I can think of at least 5 animes with a male lead who has black hair with bangs, blue eyes, tall, and athletic or smart. This was put into play in Akihabara where there were many parodied works in doujinshi or just many posters depicting different characters with similar features. Parallel to this, in manga stores I noticed just how many characters were put in different costumes, settings, spin-offs, and more, but this reflection doesn’t necessarily take away from the fandoms or enjoyment despite lacking originality.
In Saito’s Beautiful Fighting Girl, the concept of moe is discussed. For the predominantly male audience that consumes this media, they find a sense of escapism in the fandoms of these characters. They do not idolize these girls, but they do form an attachment to characters and the emotional relationships formed between fans and the girls themselves. In Akihabara, I saw many men who were inside the NSFW manga store and they seemed to be taking their time in enjoying every novel they picked up. Not only were they not really the “true” stories of the characters in the doujinshi, but the parodies themselves still hold the element of moe because it is not about the character, but more about the fantasy they provide.

Every once in a while you get to go to an event where the star isn’t just the product that is being launched, but the entire event is just as memorable as well. So it was with the recent Ki No Bi event I went for af Sushi Taka, St Regis Kl, where we got to try the Ki No Bi G Edition gin, and enjoyed a most delicious, sumptious, delectable omakase sushi meal paired with Ki No Bi gin cocktails. Ki No Bi’s @marcysakuma was there to talk us through the Ki No Bi gins - the highlight of which was the G Edition, which is aged in ex-Henry Giraud champagne casks. What a gin it is too. Fragrant, floral, fruity and bright, it has a nose you could sniff all night long. But at one point you need to taste the gin to and wow. On the palate, that effervescent bright floral note strikes you up front, with more balanced juniper, white wine, floral notes coming mid-palate, finishing with a lovely streak of bright fruit notes and lingering juniper. I live the fact that unlike many aged gins, the cask doesn’t completely overpower the base Ki No Bi notes, allowing for a more balanced spirit that you can just sip on its own all night long. Oh, and the dinner was fabulous as well. The uni sushi was perfect, the sweet shrimp was creamy and decadent, the Drunk Crab was so sweet and succulent, the Firefly Squid Smoke was superb
you get the point. The combo of great gin and great food really made this one of the more memorable events of 2033 so far. Whee! #gin #ginlovers #kinobi #kinobigin #mytipsyturvy #tipsyturvygin #sushi #sushitaka #stregiskl (at Taka by Saito Sushi, St Regis) https://www.instagram.com/p/CqaXoIEJ8P-/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Why has Japanese food gained so much of popularity in the US ?
Amidst all the different ethnic cuisines Japanese food nearly is on the verge of topping the list when it comes to American’s preferences in dining out. The first sushi bar by Moto saito in New York after the WWII marked the invasion of Japanese cuisine in the American taste buds. The hype of Japanese food gradually increased within the little Tokyo area of LA and spread all over the major cities in the US. Sushi has now become the choice of food for the date nights. Ramen remains as the top preferred option for students who have a tight budget while studying in college. One of the major concerns these days for Americans apart from satisfying their palate is their health. Japanese food is a combination of both health and taste. Japan has the highest number of centenarians around the world with the lowest risk of age related diseases. Healthy food directly never attracts people but when it wrapped in the silver coatings of class and status it suddenly graduates from oxford!  Japanese food is now considered classy in the US not because it is very rich on phytonutrients but because it is the food of the rich! These days Japanese food is so omnipresent- you can find it everywhere from trendy ramen joints to the most elegant places like Raku in Las Vegas or maybe a Sushi Yasuda in New York. These restaurants present an amalgamation of ancient traditional Japanese food fused with the modern American style of cooking resulting in a very exotic twist which leaves everyone craving.  A very prominent example to this is the ‘California roll’ which is makizushi sushi roll stuffed with cucumber, crab meat, avocado etc. California roll is popularly known as the fashion cuisine as it is an American take on the traditional sushi made in Japan.  The Japanese steakhouse and a other american noodle concept restaurants may also be called a cultural hybridization. It should be kept in mind that Japanese food is very tough to master and prepare hence one should always eat in restaurants with highly trained chefs who are reliable. Nutritional aspect of the rising trend of Japanese food Not everyone like ‘sushi’ but people who love it explain the science behind its taste which is said to be “acquired” with time. But why do people want to acquire its taste? Because it is healthy, period. The top tier of people, the elite class, is so much concerned about their health which forces them to eat Japanese food which is low carb perfect for ketosis and rich in antioxidants.  This is the reason why athletes, models, actors and major influencers in the fashion world prefer these foods and set the trend for everyone else.  It not only protects you from major disease it also helps you get in shape! Healthy food is rarely tasty but Japanese food is an exception to this rule. The post Why has Japanese food gained so much of popularity in the US ? appeared first on Menu Prices Genie.
