Everyone was just so friendly and nice - all smiles, all happy to see us and be there, and willing for photos and signatures. Charlie even brought his own pen! And Markella arrived late, but still made time for us!

Charlie commented on how Tyroe signed on Annatar on my poster, so he signed on Brimby! And he made so much eye contact with us and was so friendly. Put me at ease completely. He even came back to us for more photos! Said he had heaps of time.

But yeah I love him even more now!!

reading through the new safe hotlines report that calls out 988 for working with cops (really good will link it in a sec) and it’s so funny because all the quotes have been anonymized and the research interview was from two years ago but there’s still so many quotes I can tell are mine and it’s just so funny seeing that in the middle of a research report. hi Joan, out of curiosity do airports still feel surreal or like a liminal space to you, or do they feel normal because they're so tied to your job?

They mostly feel like I imagine someone who works in an office feels about their workplace. Though there is something inherently liminal to airports in that almost everyone there is on their way to someplace else, and we've all just managed to be there together at the same time which is in itself a wonder. Also people do weird things in airports, so that effects the energy as well. You will never see so many people sleeping in such strange positions as you will in an airport.
