Villain lands in the middle of the street, cars swerving to avoid running them over. They double down, panting heavily as their thorax contracts, gasping for air. They make an effort to straighten and take a deep breath that sends a jolt of sharp pain across their torso. Their eyes search the perimeter for any sign of Hero, who they have been fighting since 5 p.m. It was almost midnight, and none were ready to accept defeat.
“So stubborn,” Hero purrs from behind them, wrapping a hand across their torso, so tight Villain thinks their ribcage will crush. “Just yield.”
“You wish,” they almost spit the words, bringing their elbow back in a swift motion. This time it’s Hero that is doubled down and gasping for breath. They press a palm to their knee, looking up with a smirk.
“I wish you were panting for other reasons,” Hero’s gaze is locked on their parted lips. It catches them off guard, but Villain manages to keep their composure. They glance down at Hero’s flushed face and dilated irises. Is this idiot...?
They avoid finishing the thought, instead reaching for Hero’s arm and throwing them across the street and into a backyard. Hero groans, pulling themselves up and squaring up. “How long are we gonna keep doing this?”
“What, you’re tired already?” Villain chuckles at the thought, refusing to acknowledge the burn in their own legs and arms. “Here I thought you’d have better stamina.”
They absolutely did not intend the double meaning behind their words, but the way Hero’s face goes crimson leaves no space for regrets. Hero inhales sharply before meeting their eyes. When they speak, their voice is low and heavy.
“Come here, and I’ll show you my stamina.” It’s the challenge that sends a shudder down Villain’s spine. It has nothing to do with the heat waves running them over or the fact that their body reacts almost immediately. They curse under their breath when Hero bites their lip, waiting for Villain to throw something heavy at them.
Villain does not. They throw Hero. Across the yard and into the abandoned lab - their hideout. Hero sags to the floor, ready to concede defeat. Villain, however, doesn’t spare them the time to speak, instead pulling them up into a standing position and slamming their back against the wall.
“Let’s see how tireless you really are, shall we?” Villain’s gaze oozes resolution despite the teasing tone.
Hero’s brain short-circuits. Unable to grasp the implication behind their words or the smirk which finds its way onto Villain’s face, they stare blankly into the space between themselves and their nemesis while Villain slowly closes the distance. Hero opens their mouth, attempting to speak, but nothing comes out. Villian chuckles, wrapping an arm around them and trailing their fingers over Hero’s quivering lips.
“Not so confident anymore, are we?” Villain whispers against their mouth, their proximity intoxicating. That about does it for Hero, who reaches forward, grabbing the back of Villain’s head and crushing Villain’s lips against their own.
It’s almost 5 a.m. when the sun appears on the horizon. Villain rolls over, covering their eyes and reaching for the curtains to pull them shut. It’s too early, and they have had the longest day and an even longer night to care for the sunrise. Hero mumbles something by their side, so they turn back, pushing the covers down from their face.
“Did I tell you I resigned yesterday?” They yawn lazily. Villain stares at them in shock, but Hero’s eyes remain shut. It takes them a moment of deliberation to understand this night would not have happened had Hero not done that.
“Oh no! Whatever will I do?” They exclaim, forcing Hero’s eyes to flatter open, confusion colouring their features. Villain turns onto their back, pressing the back of their hand to their forehead in a dramatic gesture. “Days of consuming boredom await me.”
Hero can’t help the laugh that escapes their lips. They prop themselves up on one elbow, leaning over Villain with a smug smile.
“I think I can keep you... entertained.”
Villain doesn’t answer, instead wrapping their arms around Hero’s shoulders and pulling them down onto their chest.

My family, my dear friends and everyone who knows me or not ، we are Issam and Sahar , newly married and living in Gaza, I'm 30 years old and Sahar is 26.
Everyone who knows us knows that we are a reserved, quiet and reclusive person. We have always been an independent person and used to do everything ourselves for our family. So, I hope you understand that today it's difficult for us to talk about our personal issues and finally ask for help. I will tell you my story briefly, after I realized some of my dreams a short time ago by marrying my life partner and moving into my house, which we only stayed in for a few days until we were in the middle of the war, we fled to save ourselves and stay alive, we lost hope in life after all our dreams that we had dreamed of since childhood were shattered.
One of our dreams was to settle in the house we built stone by stone and be happy like other couples, but we couldn't because of the war.
I used to work as a lawyer in several companies, I am unemployed, I lost my job, I have no source of income, and everything I saved I put in the house, the house was destroyed and I have nothing now.
This is a picture of me as a lawyer with the head of the Bar Association
My wife and I decided to start a fundraising campaign so that we can get some money to evacuate us after we lost everything, to rebuild our house that was destroyed by the occupation, and to get food, water and other necessities of life so that we can live first and then think about our future, which we don't know anything about.
Now, this is our house, which was destroyed by the occupation after my wife and I equipped it
The place where we live now is devoid of all the necessities of life, and we struggle with access to water, food, safety, and all the necessities needed to live.
I realize that we're all going through tough times, so anything that helps, whether it's your love and support, your donation, sharing my story, or sending love and prayers, it's all accepted and greatly appreciated, and I hope that anyone who is able to help me will help me and spread the link, because literally every dollar makes a difference.
Here is the link to the private fundraising campaign

incarcerated people are shutting down Alabama prisons and asking for your solidarity
Alabama prisons are the deadliest and most crowded prisons in the US. Their violence extends to gas chamber executions and illegal organ harvesting. The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) is currently facing two federal lawsuits: one for enslaving Black detainees by denying them parole and leasing out their forced labor and another for targeting strike organizers. ADOC rakes in more than $450 million annually in profits from forced labor, and that's not including the profits incarcerated people generate for private corporations such as McDonald's and Raytheon. In response to these abuses, and in particular the horrific beating of six handcuffed detainees by Lt. Edmonds at Donaldson Prison on February 22nd, the Free Alabama Movement (FAM) has organized a minimum 90-day statewide prison shutdown/work stoppage. They are calling on supporters outside the prison walls to show solidarity. If you're located in or around Alabama, show up to the protest at St. Clair Prison in Springville, AL on Saturday March 2nd. For rideshare coordination contact the Tennessee Student Solidarity Network on IG or by email: [email protected] "Outside support for us starts at the prisons. That's where we need people. Come to one of the protests, show your face, and tell us that you support us. That's how we know that you support us. Outside support is the first step." - FAM
Everyone in the US, call Donaldson Prison at (205) 436-3681 and ask them to fire Lt. Edmonds for his brutal violence against incarcerated people.

DO NOT SCROLL! DO NOT IGNORE!
please help my friend Mohammed Haboub @mohammedhaboubsblog and his twin sister Farah evacuate from gaza to safety!!!
their goal for the month is 240,000 SEK, or approximately $23,500 USD. they need $10,000 USD to evacuate Mohammed and Farah. Mohammed is a star software engineering student, and he and his sister want to continue their education in safety. Mohammed was shot in the leg by israeli soldiers months ago and still suffers complications from his injury, while Farah was seriously injured in the al-tabieen school massacre on august 10, and she is still extremely vulnerable while recovering due to risk of infection and further injury. they have collected very little of their goal and must evacuate as soon as possible to safely recover and continue their education
donations are taken in SEK, conversions as follows:
$1 USD = 10 SEK
$5 USD = 51 SEK
$10 USD = 102 SEK
$20 USD = 205 SEK
$50 USD = 513 SEK
$100 USD = 1026 SEK

help a palestinian teacher and her family of 6!
[PT: Help a Palestinian teacher and her family of 6. End PT.]
Ola's campaign is number 205 on el-shab-hussein and nabulsi'svetted fundraiser spreadsheet.
$53,726 raised of $85,000 goal as of October 4th
[PT: $53,726 raised of $85,000 goal as of October 4th End PT.]
No amount of words can describe how awful it is that a full year of genocide is coming up. Palestinians deserve to be safe in their homes not having to worry about their and their loved ones’ lives or trying to figure out how they can get people to care for their survival. Every single Palestinian I have talked with this past year has been so endlessly kind in spite of everything. Please return this kindness and stand up for Palestinians. Help them.
I’m writing this post for my dear friend, Ola. She’s a seventh grade math teacher who’s so incredibly passionate about her work and uses creative methods to better teach her students. When I first read about her using extracurriculars as a means of teaching, I was left with a large smile on my face. Seeing her connect her lessons to the students rather than making the students connect to the lessons is such a beautiful thing you could do as a teacher since it shows your active consideration towards your students.
Ola had just begun her first year of teaching when this Nakba began. She’s been on Tumblr for months, trying her best to spread her campaign which supports a total of 7 people including herself. Alongside that, she’s been using her blog to share the campaigns of her extended family. Her campaign is beginning to slow. We can not afford this. Please help Ola in any way you can, whether it be from a donation, reblog, or sharing her campaign’s link. I heavily encourage you to follow her at olaa123 and spotlight her campaign if you are able to!!

Hello everyone,
I am Sahar, a Palestinian from Gaza.
After I lived a beautiful life and my rosy dreams that I had always dreamed of and waited for came true, by marrying my life partner and moving to our house, which we continued to work day and night until we built it stone by stone, where we only stayed for a few days until we found ourselves on the side of the road, fleeing in order to save ourselves. And our family.
Whoever knows us knows that we are chaste and do not ask for help from anyone throughout our lives. Each of us had his work and his financial income, and these are our pictures while we were at the head of our work, my husband and I.
Now something has happened that we did not wish for, and these dire circumstances have forced us to seek help in order to provide the necessities of life after we spent all the money we saved trying to secure food and shelter. We are now homeless after our house was completely destroyed by the Israeli occupation.
These are the pictures of our building after If it was destroyed in the war.
This is where my husband, his family and I currently live, with no means of survival.💔
Every penny counts. Your support will make a big difference in saving lives. I believe in the free world and the humane hearts there.
Please donate and share this fundraising campaign. You will save live.

I want to share with you all a message from our friend Ola, who writes to us from the heart of besieged north Gaza.
Ola is a graduate student from the faculty of science at Al-Azhar University in Gaza. She is a dedicated and passionate student, striving to become a good researcher and teacher.
Before October 7th, her days were filled with attending lectures, working, and volunteering. She completed her bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a GPA 96.01% and a grade of distinction with first class honors.
Unexpectedly, her life took a drastic turn with the commencement of the cruel war on Gaza, transforming her from a passionate student to a person struggling for survival.
As you read this post, Ola, her mother, father, three sisters, and little brother are fighting death in northern Gaza. They are suffering under bombing, displacement, instability, starvation, thirst, and poverty. They are facing a harsh famine due to the IOF blockade of north Gaza, which has led to prices soaring. Ola herself was recently hospitalized for malnutrition due to the famine.
Yet through all of this, Ola is keeping her hope alive that she may go back to her career as an educator, and pursue her passion of teaching the next generation of Gazan children.
Ola is raising funds in order to be able to pay the rising cost of basic necessities in north Gaza. Her family is large and the cost of survival in north Gaza is astronomical, so she is going to need a lot of help with her campaign. If you have anything you can spare, I implore you to support Ola and her family. From where you are right now, you personally can help save lives in north Gaza.
Please reblog this post, follow Ola at @olagaza and boost her posts, and repost the link to her campaign across all your social media
Thank you❤️
Ola’s case has been verified by el-shab-hussein and nabulsi, she is #205 on their spreadsheet of vetted campaigns

something disturbing I see happening a lot is when posts with notes in the tens of thousands sharing fundraisers are nowhere near their goals - obviously I'm grateful that their fundraisers have been shared, and I'm glad that people have donated, but it's still so disheartening to seeing 20,000+ reblogs on one post for a fundraiser and then go to the gofundme and see that the amount of donations is just a small fraction of that.
the most recent example I've come across is Ola's ( @olagaza ) campaign, which she has documented here! as of my writing this post there are 28,318 notes on Ola's post, but only 1585 donations. Ola is still not very far over halfway to the $50,000 goal she's set.
Ola's campaign is line 205 of @/nabulsi and @/el-shab-hussein's vetted fundraiser list. Here's a direct link to her fundraiser:
please donate and share. help Ola and her family survive the horrific circumstances they're currently being forced to endure, and keep in mind that just because a post has circulated widely, there is no guarantee that others have donated.
tagging for reach!

Things the Biden-Harris Administration Did This Week #30
August 2-9 2024
The Department of Interior announced the largest investment since 1979 in outdoor recreation and conservation projects. The $325 million will go to support State, territorial, DC, and tribal governments in buying new land for parks and outdoor recreation sites. It also supports expansion and refurbishment of existing sites.
The EPA announced that Birmingham Alabama will get $171 million to update and replace its water system. The city of Birmingham is 70% black and like many black majority cities as struggled with aging water systems and lead pipes causing dangerous drinking water conditions. This investment is part of the Biden-Harris administrations plan to replace all of the nation's lead pipes.
The Department of Energy announced $2.2 billion in investments in the national power grid to help boost resiliency in the face of extreme weather. The projects will add 13 gigawatts of capacity, support 5,000 new jobs and upgrade 1,000 miles of transmission. Major projects will cut power outages in the west, drive down energy prices in New England, add off shore wind, and enable the development of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe’s wind resources.
The Justice Department won its massive anti-trust case against Google. A federal judge ruled that Google was an illegal monopoly. The DOJ has an ongoing antitrust suit against Apple, while the Federal Trade Commission is suing Facebook and Amazon for their monopolist practices
The US Government announced $3.9 billion in direct aid to Ukraine. The money will help the Government of Ukraine make up for massive budget short falls caused by the war with Russia. It'll help pay the salaries of teachers, emergency workers, and other public employees, as well helping displaced persons, low-income families and people with disabilities.
The Department of Energy announced $190 million to improve air quality and energy upgrades in K-12 schools. The grants to 320 schools across 25 states will impact 123,000 students, 94% of these schools service student bodies where over half the students qualify for free and reduced lunch. In the face of climate change more schools have been forced to close for extreme heat. These grants will help schools with everything from air filtration, to AC, to more robust energy systems, to replacing lighting.
USAID announced $424 million in additional humanitarian aid to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Due to ongoing conflict and food insecurity, 25 million Congolese are in need of humanitarian aid. This year alone the US has sent close to a billion dollars in aid to the DRC, making it the single largest donor to the crisis.
The Senate approved President Biden's appointment of Stacey Neumann of Maine, Meredith Vacca of New York, and Joseph Saporito Jr. of Pennsylvania to life time federal Judgeships. This brings the total of judges appointed by President Biden to 205. President Biden is the first President who's judicial nominations have not been majority white men, Judge Vacca is the first Asian American to serve in her district court. President Biden has also focused on former public defenders, like Judge Saporito, and former labor lawyers like Judge Neumann, as well as civil rights lawyers.

Urgent! Donations needed to buy supplies for survival !
I want to bring attention to the fundraiser of Issam and Sahar ( @esamadnan19 ), a newly married couple who are trying to survive under the genocide. Issam's fundraiser is currently supporting 6 family members in total and as such it needs your contribution so that this family can urgently buy food and some winter supplies. Recently when I talked to Issam, he said this:
The blockade imposed by the occupation forces has manufactured a famine where there is barely any food available. There are also not enough tarps and other materials which can help keep the rain out; whatever is left is extremely costly and slow donations can be disastrous for a family.
So please help Issam and Sahar survive the genocide. They have received only TWO DONATIONS in seventeen hours today! This is unacceptable, when even their end goal is set at only 10k . So please boost and donate and help however you can. Currently the fundraiser is stagnating at €6,291

It is so cruel to say “surrender or starve”, as if Palestinians have been doing anything but starving for months now. More than an year of genocide, and the occupation keeps getting away with both massacring and starving Gazans, while the world hems and haws, and does nothing. So, we do not have any time to waste here; what is happening in North Gaza is insane, and Ola’s family is in urgent need of your help right at this moment!! I will keep this short:
Ola is only 26 years old, and her life has been completely destroyed in this genocide. Where before she was a brilliant student of mathematics and dreamt of having a career in the field, now she spends her days trying to find food and escape death.
As the eldest daughter, it has fallen on her to ensure that her family of SEVEN survives through this genocide.
The condition of North Gaza is terrible: there is a famine and the cost of living is tremendously high. Many of the family members have started to show signs of malnutrition, with Ola herself having fallen dangerously underweight.
With barely anything to eat, exhaustion weighs on her daily and yet she walks miles to get an internet connection to campaign for her family. This is becoming more and more dangerous now, when the occupation forces have started to bomb the north of Gaza.
This is extremely urgent, as 200 Gazans have been murdered by the occupation forces recently. In this bout of indiscriminate bombing all across the North of Gaza, the IOF are specifically targeting camps and the remaining shelters - mass displacement is imminent and no one knows what is going to happen with winter looming ahead. Food and other resources will be stretched thin even more and the prices will go up to unprecedented heights which Ola's family won’t be able to afford without immediate donations. So please DONATE and BOOST. The fundraiser has been stagnating and there has been no donations for up to 9 hours straight.
Currently at $56,690 USD. Let us help Ola raise at least 1k. Please treat this as an emergency
