something will happen that constitutes, his full on body laugh and when its an instinctual thing it’s so rare that bruce doesn’t have a failsafe for that reflex and the person they’re with just,, stops

because the laugh they’re so used to can’t be compared to this genuine deep, heavy with emotion and feeling laugh that fills his lungs and your soul- and they just wish he would do that all of the time instead of his wooden paparazzi simpering and its something so stark that it throws them for a loop

and idk i just love watching bruce expose layers of himself to those he loves without consciously doing so

Bruce doesn’t know what to get Clark for Valentine’s Day so he just buys literally everything. Clark comes home to at least 100 gifts wrapped and scattered around his apartment, and they’re not cheap either. Jewelry of all kinds with every stone you can think of, real leather shoes and belts, silk ties, satin pajamas, every luxury item that exists is now owned by Clark Kent.

When he discovers all this, Clark peers through each package, unwilling to unwrap them all because he knows for a fact he’s not keeping them. He looked through them all, smiling widely at the fact that Bruce so clearly picked them all out very specifically. His favorite color blue, his birthstone, that shade of red that Bruce says flatters his skin tone, all of it is carefully tailored to Clark. The last present is different, though. It’s a necklace, the chain is shining silver and obviously new, but the pendant, a heart shaped locket, is clearly very old. It’s rusted a little at the hinge and the metal is dented. On the front is an ornate ‘B’. He moves to it, immediately carefully unwrapping the box and pulling out the locket. He wanted to open it to discover what’s inside, instead of just looking into it. When he cracks it open, his throat goes dry. Inside is two pictures, one is of Bruce and his parents, the same one hanging in the manor, and the other is a close up of Clark and Dick from the time Dick fell asleep during a piggy back ride, face smushed into Clark’s shoulder and a little drool on his cheek.

30 seconds later, Clark is standing in Bruce’s bedroom at the manor, hair wild from how fast he flew and civilian clothes still in place. Bruce has a hand over his heart, having whirled around from where he was standing over his dresser, “Jesus, Clark, a little warning, please.” Clark ignores that comment, rushing forward and grabbing Bruce’s face before he clashes their lips together, kissing Bruce as deeply as he can until Bruce has to push him away to get a breath. When they separate, Bruce is bright red, eyes blown wide and fidgeting with his hands, his gaze has already locked on the necklace around Clark’s throat. He clears his throat, “So, you like it then? I didn’t know if you would think it was weird to have a picture of my parents but they gave it to me all those years ago and it felt wrong to take their picture out but I wanted you to have this piece of me and for you to know that you are my family but if you don’t want it that’s okay no hard feelings I’ll just-“ Clark is kissing him again, softer now, hands gentle on Bruce’s cheeks. “I love it, baby. It’s perfect. Thank you.”

hear me out, you have a younger sister who happens to be in the same after school art club as damian

and of course, being the good older sibling you are, you come to pick her up

but it certainly doesn't hurt to see dick grayson every week, waiting for his younger brother

at first he's just some handsome stranger who happens to be around the same age as you

and you're trying to figure out if he's here for his sibling or if he's just a very very young parent

thankfully, your sister introduces you to damian and by proxy you properly meet dick so you know he's not taken

and it's hard not to fall for him because he's just so funny and charming

and he's good with kids, as evident by how he handles damian but also one day when your sister comes out of art club sobbing because some kid messed with her artwork and he's able to calm her down in record time

he offers to get her ice cream as consolation but he's weirdly making eye contact with you as he says that and maybe you're just delusional but between this and the flirting you can't be blamed for feeling a certain way about the whole thing

but things frustratingly don't progress any further (mostly because dick thinks he's been pretty clear with the flirting and decides to back down because you don't seem to be reciprocating, whereas you're completely oblivious to the whole thing) so it's up to damian and your sister to take things into their own hands

In the in universe batfamily fandom there’s a relatively famous (infamous?) subgenre of fic known as the “Billionaire Bats AU” that has the Wayne family as the Bat family.

It spawns from a fic of the same name that first came out shortly after Tim started publicly appearing as Robin and is running to this day (though uploads are far less frequent)

When it first got popular there was a small amount of time where Bruce thought Tim was writing it because it got a little too many things right. Though he is able to rule that out after he finds the actual author who’s just some 14 year old girl.

The fandom gets into a lot of arguments about it:

“Barbara Gordon is a random choice for being the former batgirl I mean seriously? Just cause they both have red hair doesn’t make it make sense”

“Guys RPF is icky knock it off”

“It actually makes more sense if Batman is a time traveling Dick Grayson from a bad future”

“I’m sorry I can’t get past having Tim Drake as Red Robin have you seen the guy?? The wind could knock him over”

“Bruce is really ooc here”

“I don’t like the retcon that Tim Drake was one of the Robins”

One controversial take was when the fic introduced Clark Kent as Superman because the author is a BruClark shipper and was pushing her agenda since “Superbat is basically canon” so them being the same people made it more realistic.

Bruce keeps an eye on it just in case and it has resulted in Tim and Steph having to explain so much slang to him.

My hcs about Diana, Bruce, Clark qpr.

Clark used to go to Diana to take advice on his relationship with Lois, and Diana found it adorable because she used to had a crush on both of them and the logical conclusion was "They will be great for each other".

Bruce tried once get advice once with any one of his failed relationships and she wholeheartedly recommended him therapy.

Catwoman and Talia are by far Diana's favorite Batman's girlfriends. Catwoman because shes fun and witty and she has the hability of take him out of his shell easier than anyone. And Talia because she's a warrior with a soft spot for Bruce and if that's isn't relatable.

Clark doesn't trust any of them. But, he respects Bruce's judgment.

Both Bruce and Diana used to have a crush on Lois Lane can you blame them? and while Bruce did acted upon on because he and Clark weren't as much friends as they are today at the time and he's a bitch, Diana had a bit more of respect.

Wonder woman always opens the dor for Superman and pushes chairs for him to sit, Superman does the same for Batman and Batman does it for Wonder Woman, it's just a matter of who's close to the door/chair.

Every single person of the JLA finds it odd, but it's been so long with this bullshit that they don't even bat an eye anymore.

Before Clark was married, his co-workers would see him get pulled up by fancy cars and limosine, get off clock early because "Oh it's Diana's birthday" or "we're making a surprise for Bruce" or "I promised Bruce to watch his son for him" and imediately get "everybody knows... everybody knows."

He was the talk of the office for years. The only person who defended him was Lois and Jimmy (while Jimmy also would get 🤨🏳️‍🌈 around them)

Clark 🤝 Bruce reacted to their sons coming out with 'Well, it's pretty common to be attracted to your best friends, no?"

Clark has clear a beef with Harley for the spot of "Bruce's first best friend"™.

None of them noticed yet that this spot has been occupied by Harvey Dent for 40 years and counting.

The first time Clark entered Diana's house at the embassy of Themyscira (as Clark Kent) , he got absolutely flabbergasted. The little journalist nerd inside him made them spend the entire day discussing the origin of every artefact and history behind it. He doesn't know but that was the exatcly moment Diana decided she wanted him in every aspect of her life (not as just coworker or battle ally) as long as possible.

Diana is also fascinated by modern technology made by mortals and occasionally asks a couple of questions about Bruce's inventions for battle. She's genuinely impressed by his ability in making non-letal tools and always gives him her inputs and compliments when she feels like it.

Clark has and habit of lean on them or hold their hands when he's concentrating on a mission (specially if it is one more focused in diplomacy rather than physical battles). If it's in front of the league he's more discreet about it (Holding hands behind the table, quick pats on shoulders, etc).

Now, if it's just the three of them he go as long as mindlessly play with their hands as he go over plans, and paperwork's. None of them feels the need to acknowledge or know when this turned into an habit.

Clark always greet them with a hug no exceptions. Funny enough if it is in a serious situation WW and Batman resort to a firm handshake or a nod.

If they're feeling flirting they go

"Batman."

"Wonder Woman."

Out of the trio Diana and Bruce are the one's who flirts more with each other

Clark love language it's words of affirmation so he's the one who demonstrates more affection towards them, Diana is a close second (regarding platonic touch)

They do not talk about the JLA confraternization from 2007

Not talking about the confraternization from 2007 does not mean they don't repeated what happened in the contraternization of 2007.

Bruce offered himself to help Clark and Diana moving tractors and it took them lifting two tractor with their bare hands to him to rethinking every decision he ever had on his life.

I’d imagine it’s like watching an on and off couple in school, seeing how they are interacting with eachother and wondering what the deal of the week is (since those two can kinda flip between seeing eye to eye or not given whatever circumstance)

He’s deliberately avoiding some parts for obvious “Those are my freaking coworkers” reasons but for now in the idea I have for the fic Freddy doesn’t know Billy is personally related in any way to them. Current idea I’m running with is that Billy had his powers for a bit, hasn’t told anyone and has been running from foster homes anyway to avoid what inevitably happen to poeple heroes care about, but got caught in the familial love trap that is the Vasquez household and hasn’t found a good window to leave or tempt the idea of revealing himself yet.

It’s like showing a dude 1D fanfics not knowing he’s one of the sound guys who works with them, it’s weird and Billy was just silently dying on the inside while being weaned onto the SuperBat agenda.

Also, fanfic writer Freddy is beloved and definitely something I could see with the dude currently. He kept a journal of his adventures in the 40’s and currently thanks to movie and tie-in book canon he does have a interest in writing about superheroes on top of understanding how their powers work and stuff, even has a letter he sent to the Daily Planet (Lois specifically!) and got put in the paper.
