New TF2 triptych!

Yes, that’s right, I’m drawing Team Fortress 2 in 2024 😂 I got back into it recently after seeing the community-hyped fan film Emesis Blue, which is 2 HOURS LONG geez but it is an incredible piece of work. If you like psychological horror, give it a go! (If you don’t like scary stuff though give it a miss.) It’s fully voice acted, with a darkly funny script. I’m obsessed 😭 I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the really clever cinematography, particularly the super strong lighting in all the scenes; it plays a lot with a simple red and blue palette.

I’ve been really enjoying using colour overlays after scanning the teastained postcards for my patrons, so I played with red and blue here to match the film. It really opens up what I can do even just painting with tea!

Anyway I reread the TF2 comics after finishing this and got upset again that they haven’t been updated since 2017. ISSUE 7 STILL SAYS COMING SOON, VALVE HIRE ME TO FINISH YOUR COMICSSSS

Just like in DP, once we're officially at the halfway mark, I will be stopping public updates and just writing up monthly devlogs instead until the entire game is ready for upload. Just a side note- there seems to be an error with the menu button on mobile!! If your phone is set to standard light mode [the mode it usually comes in, unless you change it to dark mode, etc.] then the little menu button doesn't show up. 😅 It's still there, but it shows up as super dark on a black background so it's hard to see it lmao I'm trying to figure out how to make it show up white, but for now... It is technically still there and works just fine!! You just can't see it 😂

Sergei Dragunov - The White Angel of Death

Drew Sergei Dragunov from TEKKEN.

Dragunov’s been my one and only Tekken main ever since I started with TK6. The second I saw him I said, “Pack it up. There he is. My forever main. He’s perfect.” He’s also my favorite fighting game character period. I love his play style, I love his design, I love his unsettling mannerisms, and I also love the more light-hearted aspects of his character (he's a fellow hobby collector hell yeah look at him go with his little tanks and kitbashes)! Love him to absolute bits! ✨

I haven’t drawn him in such a long long time, so it feels super good to draw him again! He looks and plays the best he’s ever been in TK8 and it’s been a joy seeing him get so much love, and salt hahaha 😂

I was inspired by the song Dog’s Scratch by Hayato Matsuo from the Hellsing Ultimate OST. I’ve always thought that Hellsing Ultimate’s OST suits him super well!

But still, they’re all very pretty!

That was a wonderful experience and I got to see Mr. Takabayashi and other toriko(s) 👐
