I did make a kinda sequel right here featuring Alex a lot more angst over here "The Past Reborn"
"Happy ends"
Today is Spring, 8, 1965.
While working in the clinic today, a miner came in, but he wasn't like the other miners. He almost dropped his cap taking it off while trying to introduce himself. His name is George, and he came in for an injury on his hand. The rope he was holding had slipped from his grip, causing a severe rope burn across his palm.
He apologized for tracking coal dust into the clinic, which no miner has ever apologized for before. I don't think their mothers explained how hard it is to get coal dust out of the bed sheets, but it's my job, so I shouldn't complain much. I just hope George will be okay. I told him he should inform his foreman that it's doctor's orders he not work until his hand heals completely.
Today is Spring, 12, 1965
The doctor was out of town today, having a call outside of town. The clinic ran as usual, although I had to tell some people to return tomorrow to see the doctor. Despite a few cases, today was a good day. Mr. George came back, and his hand has healed phenomenally. It still has a bit more healing to do, but it doesn't look like it will leave a bad scar.
I must admit, when I was holding his hand and inspecting his burn, I couldn't help but feel light-headed. George is not a bad-looking man, and his smile is so kind, His miner's cap always tosses his brown hair, and his eyes always have a twinkle in them. I’m afraid I’m a horrid nurse, feeling these things for someone in my care.
Today is Spring, 20, 1965.
George came by the clinic today. His hand looked better, but that wasn't the reason he came. He brought me a bundle of tulips, thanking me for all the care I had given him. I'm looking at them in my window right now, and I can't help but smile. He is such a kind man. I can't quite figure out how he knew what flowers I fancy, but does that matter? They are so beautiful.
I am sad, though, because George's hand has healed fully, and now he has no reason to come to the clinic. I should be happy—he's healed, and I did my job—but my heart aches knowing I won't see his smile or his twinkling eyes again. Like I said, I must be a horrid nurse.
Today is Summer, 4, 1965
I saw George again today. I was at the market shopping for dinner when I reached for a leek, and my hand touched his. His laughter is much more boisterous than his voice, which was a pleasant surprise. It's nice discovering things about him—he is like a book I don't want to put down.
He offered to cook me dinner as a proper thank you for helping him. I should have said no, but I said yes. Now, I'm sitting here, terrified to go to his home. I've never had anyone other than my mother cook for me. My heart is fluttering.
Today is Summer, 13, 1965
I have heard the number thirteen is unlucky, but I believe it to be lucky. This evening, I heard a knock at my door. It was George, dressed nicely with his hair neatly fixed. He handed me flowers and asked me out to a gridball game.
What do I wear? I want to impress George. I haven't been on a date before.
The date went so well! George's team won, and he was so happy. We got sorbet afterward to celebrate, and George took my hand in his as we walked. I really do believe the number thirteen is lucky.
Today is Summer, 28, 1965
It has been two weeks of me and George going steady, and it feels like a dream. When George finishes his shift in the mines, he comes to the clinic and walks me home. He is such a gentleman, nothing like the other miners I have met. Tonight was just magical. As George walked me to the door, I could tell something was off. His hands sweat when he is nervous, and I swear they were dripping.
He looked at me, his face as red as a beet, and asked if he could kiss me. His lips are soft and warm. It's embarrassing to admit, but his mouth does taste like cigarettes. Oh, I think I am in love, and I don't know what to do.
Today is Winter, 20, 1965
I can't believe it… George asked me out again today. He took me to the cliff to watch the sunset. He was sweating again and refused to look at me. When I asked him what was wrong, he just caged up further. I thought he was breaking up with me, but then he grabbed me as I got up to leave. His words fumbled over each other, and he almost fell over as he rushed to his knee.
George proposed to me. He told me I was the most beautiful woman he had ever met and that he couldn't stop thinking about me since he burned his hand with that rope. I'm so excited—I'm going to be George's wife soon. I just wish Mother was still with me so she could see this.
Today is Fall, 14, 1970
I can't sleep. George had an accident today at the mines. It was terrible; they had to rush him to the city. The doctor sent me home, saying I was a wreck. I can't stop crying, picturing him covered in blood and bruises on the operating table. Someone said he dropped dynamite.
Please, Yoba, don't take my George. After losing my parents, he's all I have. I can't bear to be alone again. He's my everything—the love of my life. The house feels empty without him. Every corner holds memories of him, and I can't imagine life without him.
Yoba, you've always answered my prayers. Please, I was so alone after Mother and Father passed, please don't take him from me as well.
Today is Spring, 2, 1971
They finally allowed George to come home from the hospital, albeit in a wheelchair. But that doesn't matter to me. What matters is that he's home and on the mend. It's a new chapter for both of us, one filled with challenges and uncertainties. Sometimes, George can be a bit rude, but I can see the fear in his eyes.
I made a promise to stand by him no matter what: for better or worse, in sickness and in health, till death do us part. And I intend to keep that promise. I'll be there for George, caring for him and cherishing our time together, no matter what lies ahead.
Today is Winter, 2, 1976
This is a happy day! Me and George weren't sure I could become pregnant, but I am! We are so excited to see our child. George has been working in the nursery non-stop, making sure he can care for our baby, not allowing that wheelchair to stop him.
I have decided on two names: Clara for a daughter and Coy for a son. I don't care what we have; I know they will be perfect.
Today is Summer, 10, 1977
Clara is perfect. With George's rich brown hair and my green eyes, she's a sight to behold. Despite her small stature, her eyes hold the same glimmer of curiosity as her father's. I know she will cause all kinds of trouble as she grows up just like her father.
As I watch George cradle her with such gentleness, his protective gaze never leaving her, and the tears of love that well up in his eyes as he whispers soothing words to her, I'm reminded once again of how blessed I am to have him by my side. In moments like these, it's crystal clear that I've married the most wonderful man.
Today is Summer, 13, 2000
I knew the number thirteen was lucky. Today, our grandson Alex was born. As I held him in my arms, I couldn't help but notice how much he resembled his mother, right down to the tiny button nose that mirrored hers when she was born. George was worried about Clara, complaining that everyone was here to see just Alex and not his baby girl. He has always been such a good father; he will be the best grandfather as well.
Looking at my family as it has grown, I’ve gone from an empty home after my parents passed, to a husband, a daughter, and now a son-in-law and a beautiful grandson. I love my family dearly and can't wait for the years ahead of us.
Fall, 16, 2004 This page is heavily tear stained
We took Alex for the day taking him to the fair as Clara wanted him to experience it. I can't believe we got lucky enough to have Alex… George's scream echoes in my mind… Did he scream with that pain when he was blown up?
We thought the phone call was Clara telling us that they would be late picking up Alex. The phone call shattered our hopes—it was the Zuzu Highway Patrol delivering the tragic news. Clara and her husband are gone… Victims of a drunk driver on the wrong side of the road. They didn't survive.
But we have Alex…. We have to tell our four-year-old grandson he can't go home anymore… He can't see his Mother or Father ever again
Yoba, why didn't you shield them?

Games I played in 2023.
Last year was stable. This year has been... less so. I've bounced between getting out more and shutting myself in more, and between trying to take better care of myself and letting small issues and stressors start to pile up. My steady job got a lot less steady, and I'm now out of work and finding ways to pass the time. Like video games, for instance. Shall we?
(2022 ⇐ 2023)
Moncage
This was another decent year for getting caught up on games I've tried out and expressed an interest in before. Moncage, INSIGHT, Railbound, URBO, and a few other games you'll see further down the list. I also followed up on some games I've played in the past like Train Valley 2, and even dipped back into some old mainstays like Eternal. One of these days I'll find time for Minecraft or Dwarf Fortress again.
I more or less broke even on my backlog this year, chipping away at smaller games from assorted bundles I've picked up over the years, but also picking up some new bundles to add to the pile. So many games, so little time.
Before We Leave
While we're talking about the backlog, here's a game I've been interested in for a while. A settlement builder in a solar system of small planets, with a quaint aesthetic of wooden ships and massive space whales. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this one. The automation and logistics aspect is an interesting spin on the genre, even it gets a bit complex at times. Never too challenging, though, and there's enough depth and nuance to hold my interest all the way to the final stages and on towards the stars. I'm looking forward to the upcoming sequel.
The Legend of Zelda (series)
It's hard to go wrong with Zelda. I have fond memories of Skyward Sword, Wind Waker HD, and Breath of the Wild, and with a new one on the way, it seemed like as good a time as any to catch up on my library. In order: Link's Awakening DX, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, The Minish Cap, and the DLC quests from Breath of the Wild I never got around to. Our Wii U saw more activity than it's gotten in years.
Opinions on each: Awakening was a fun, solid 2D adventure that never overstayed its welcome, though the game shows its age at a few points. Likewise, Ocarina was an interesting look at the series' jump to 3D, but was also somewhat janky at times and it took a while for me to really get into a groove with it. (I think the turning point might've been the Water Temple. I actually liked the Water Temple. Ye gods.) Majora was a sizeable improvement gameplay-wise and played with the format in neat ways, though I'll admit that I butted heads with the time loop mechanic more than once.
I have a particular nostalgia for Minish Cap; some of my earliest memories of Nintendo games are watching my friend's GBA over his shoulder on the bus ride to elementary school. After so long, this was the one I was most curious to see if it held up. Answer: yes. Minish Cap is officially my favorite 2D Zelda, and the highlight of this little retro binge. There's a lot of charm to it, and it just feels good to play.
It may be a bit too recent for nostalgia, but I almost forgot how much I loved Breath of the Wild. My old file was exactly how I left it, and playing through the extra content was a good way to re-acquaint myself with the "new" Zelda style before…
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
This was a daunting one. If I had to sum up Tears in one sentence, it would be this: There is so much game in this game. Even compared to its predecessor, there's so much to do and so many more layers of exploration and interaction, with a wide array of smaller improvements that make it a smoother experience overall.
I wish I could say I put as much time into this game as I did into Breath of the Wild, and I did put a lot of time into it, but… some other things got in the way. Summer is when my work got a lot busier and a good amount more stressful, and this was a game I slowly chipped away at whenever I found time for it. I got pretty much everything I wanted out of it, and after the credits rolled, I put it away and haven't touched it since. I should change that. I'm sure there are more good times to be had.
Mutazione
The word that comes to mind to describe Mutazione is fascinating. It's a point-and-click narrative, light on gameplay, heavy on story and character. Of the other games I've played recently, the vibes remind me the most of Sable – quiet and contemplative, where all you want to do is observe and take in the world and characters that are being presented to you. It dovetails nicely with the story itself, which largely consists of a curious little soap opera playing out around characters who are along for the ride. The writing is some of the best I've seen this year, and gets real fuckin' raw in ways I wasn't expecting. This one will stick with me for a while.
Pikmin 3 / The Wild at Heart
I've never had the focus or dexterity for a really complex RTS, but Pikmin's always been a little more approachable. Played the second game in the series a while back, picked up a used copy of Pikmin 3 at a local convention this year, and with another one coming out, it seemed as good an excuse as any to make it a double feature.
Both games have their charms. Pikmin has a distinct style and sense of scale that's hard to replicate, and a good variety of environments and encounters and puzzles. The Wild at Heart is smaller in scope as a Pikmin-like, and hits some familiar beats while remixing some of the core ideas in interesting ways. The latter also put more of an emphasis on character and narrative, something I'd like to see fleshed out more, but what we got was still satisfying. Both games were fun, and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on Pikmin 4 soon.
Chants of Sennaar / Heaven's Vault
Another double feature – one game that caught my eye immediately, and another I've been curious about for a while. For a long time I've had a fondness for constructed languages, with scripts and writing systems of particular interest. The idea of decoding such a language lends itself well to a puzzle game, and these two approach it in different ways: Chants of Sennaar features multiple cultures in a Tower of Babel-esque setting, each with their own quirks and traits to learn and translate between, and their own puzzles to solve. Heaven's Vault opts for depth, with a single language and a vast history that you slowly unravel through exploration.
My verdict for both games is the same. The language puzzles are really cool and interesting! I want more of them! …Everything else in between gets sort of meandering at times. Not enough to drag down the overall experience, but perhaps enough to overstay its welcome. Sennaar filled the space with a mish-mash of puzzles and stealth, which felt oddly paced at times. Heaven's Vault's pacing was hit even harder with slow exploration and visual novel-esque story segments – fine enough for one playthrough, but the amount of wandering and backtracking involved makes me hesitant to go back and play NG+ to see the rest of the content. I don't have the patience to play a visual novel multiple times to see what all of the dialogue options do. The story's fine as is, and I got what I wanted out of it.
Even with their faults, these are still probably the games that influenced me the most in 2023. If anyone asks me, as a game dev, what I would make given unlimited time, resources, and creative freedom, from now on I'm going to point to Chants of Sennaar and say "something like that". I want more games like this to exist. I will make them myself, if I have to.
F-Zero 99
This wasn't the only racing game I played this year – a bunch of new content was added to Mario Kart 8, and I also pulled Horizon Chase Turbo from my backlog and spent a bit of time on that – but this is definitely the one that made the biggest splash. I've never played an F-Zero game, and it controls differently enough from other racers I've played that I had to unlearn a lot of muscle memory, but I got the hang of it after a while. The 99-player model is frantic in an enjoyable way, and races are quick enough that it's easy to pick up and play in short bursts… which is good, because short bursts are all my nerves can take with this one. Seriously this game is stressful. Fun, but stressful. Maybe one of these days I'll actually win a 99-player race.
Cobalt Core
I've been playing... a lot of Cobalt Core these past couple months. I don't jump on every roguelite or deckbuilder that comes out, but when one does get its hooks in me, they get in deep. This is another one of those games where everything just works. Great music and pixel art, fun characters (all traits shared with its predecessor, Sunshine Heavy Industries, which I also liked this year), a simple but engaging narrative, and an addicting gameplay loop that I can easily sink an hour into whenever the mood strikes me. It doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it doesn't need to – it takes a lot of ideas from games that have come before it, and builds on them to create something really enjoyable. One of my favorite games of the year, without question.
Terra Nil
As we build up, so too must we tear down. This is another one I wanted to get to sooner or later, and managed to slip it in during the last couple weeks of the year. It's also a type of game I want to play more often; a lot of the time when I play sim and builder games all I really want in the end is to build nice-looking homes and environments, and Terra Nil spins that into a puzzle game where those things are the only goal. It was a nice time, but left me wanting more – either more content in Terra Nil, or more games like it.
Eastward
This game is… a curiosity. A solid action-adventure game with a memorable cast of characters and impeccably detailed pixel art. Gameplay flips back and forth between slow-paced story segments and fun setpiece levels with a decent variety of tools for combat and puzzle-solving. The biggest sticking point is the narrative: the pacing and worldbuilding felt odd and disjointed in places, particularly in the back half, sometimes feeling like it's saying too much and often like it's said too little. Yet throughout all that, it never failed to be compelling, and I was hooked all the way 'til the end. What's more, the idea of the upcoming Octopia DLC flipping the entire game and setting on its head has my interest thoroughly piqued – something to look forward to in the coming year.
-
Here's to 2024, and here's hoping things turn around sooner or later.

This is a Genya Shinazugawa x OC (Gideon Azulyss) MLM Fic 🏳️🌈
AN/ *dances excitedly about this chapter* Also aaaagghhh thank you so much to everyone who've been supporting me and my fanfic writing!
CW/ Some strong language, at least one suggestive reference.
The Demons We Face | Chapter 11, Lavender
Time seemed to bleed slowly after that day. Gideon had gone to hunt the demon on the eastern coast, taking a week to fully execute his plan and rid the coast of its disturbing presence. He sustained a couple of injuries that definitely needed significant time to heal, and he drug himself to the butterfly mansion with a small bloom of hope that maybe he'd see Genya.
However, the mohawked boy that possessed Gideon’s favorite shade of purple in his eyes had been dispatched a few days earlier. His injuries suddenly hurt a bit worse with that knowledge.
He was less nervous around the Caterpillars, and smiled at them more. They were nice little girls, helping him treat his wounds and endure physical therapy to get back out there. However, he just couldn't bring himself to not jump at Shinobu Kocho’s always silent entrance, and her very butterfly-like demeanor. There was something off-putting behind her pleasant voice. He felt it in his bones.
But besides the Caterpillars helping him with healing and rehab, they also excitedly talked to him and with him now that he wasn't such a closed book. Gideon found that he actually really enjoyed the presence of children, or those younger than him.
When he was feeling better he played games with them around the mansion like hide and seek. He'd consistently lose if they played outside, because the butterflies still startled him. But now instead of running from them, he karate chopped at them and they flew away. The movement and sometimes surprised scream that still came from him would give away his hiding spots.
On the last day of Gideon's rehab stay at the mansion before he'd head out to at least patrol for demons at night, Genya's crow found him to deliver a small note and a bundle.
Gideon’s heart raced. He sent me something?! He untied the note and small sack from the bird's leg, giving the crow a few loving little pets and offering a treat before it flew away. Genya's crow was more polite by fields than his own crow.
Inside the little sack was a bundle of lavender tied with some twine. It was fragrant and hard to miss, but Gideon loved the smell of Lavender. He held the small sack to his face and inhaled deeply, feeling the calming effect trickle through his being.
He opened his note next.
“Gideon,
“I'm finishing up a mission in Northern Japan. I was sent pretty much as soon as I got back to the mansion. While up here though, I spoke with someone at the Inn I was staying at about you. They told me that a bit further north on the next island, there's fields full of lavender in the summer, and they said it may repel butterflies… I got lucky, there was a market and someone was selling bundles of it. I hope it can help you out a little.
“Maybe one day, we can go there and see the fields together. You wouldn't have to worry about butterflies. Just bees probably.
“I miss you. Hope you are well.
Genya.”
Gideon was smiling from ear to ear and tears pricked the corners of his eyes. The Caterpillars, who were outside as well, came up and read over his shoulder.
“AWW! GENYA SENT YOU FLOWERS!?”
Gideon blushed deeply when he realized that's exactly what happened.
“GIDEON IS IN LOVE!!”
Gideon stammered “W-wait I- Love? I- we- UM?! But we aren't… we aren't even- well I mean we did go on a date I think? I DON'T KNOW-” he hid his very flustered face in his hands.
The Caterpillars gushed over this information. “Cute!! So cute! You're not even denying it!!”
“Genya must really like you to send you flowers!”
“What did you do on your date?!”
“Did you guys kiss??”
Gideon squeaked in embarrassment and stood up, clutching his letter and gift as he ran away back inside the mansion. Much to the caterpillars’ dismay, because they chased after him but knew that if he went to his normal boarding room they weren't allowed to follow. And he definitely went to his room.
He caught his breath but his heart rate was up… he looked at the flowers, smiling to himself. He sent me flowers…
He dug in his desk for some string, and tied the bundle up in the window. He could dry most of the bundle and keep it… but he took a small sprig and pressed it in the letter, folding it small and putting it in his uniform’s chest pocket.
Gods, I just… I want to see him so badly. I miss him. I… want him…
Maybe I am in love…
He had to write back. He looked around for some parchment and grabbed his pen.
“Genya,
“You made my day, thank you so much for the flowers. I'm going to preserve them so that I can use them later. You're so incredibly thoughtful to send these to me, and I just really appreciate it!
“I'm at the butterfly mansion, I got hurt on my last mission but it wasn't serious or anything. I'll be around here until I get deployed again… maybe I'll get lucky and see you again before we get called out again. I still need to meet your bonsai trees. I might have even more to tell them now.
“You're constantly on my mind. I miss your warmth. I hope that you are safe.
“Gideon.”
He pulled this door open, folding the letter and tying it shut. He headed outside to look for his crow. However…
As he pulled the door open to go outside, with the twilight sky painting brilliant colors on the horizon…
He saw Genya. Walking down the path.
~*~
It had been forty-two days since they’d said goodbye. Genya had been counting.
His crow Hashibami had gotten a little lost trying to find Gideon… he'd gone out to the eastern coast first, and had eventually gone back to the butterfly mansion to find him. Just in time for Genya to have been nearby anyway.
It had caused a small bout of worry to form in Genya's gut as he'd traveled, wondering why it had taken his crow so long… but he was relieved when Hashibami had found him once more and reported that he'd delivered it to him at the mansion.
Relieved and excited. He'd get to see him.
Genya looked up to the mansion entrance, stopping in his tracks as he saw Gideon in the doorframe. His heart raced, and as Gideon cried out his name and started running to him, relief washed over his entire body.
Gideon tackle-hugged him on the pathway. Genya was strong enough not to be brought down, catching Gideon as he crashed into him. Gideon’s joy immediately bubbled over onto Genya. The silver haired boy’s happy laughter mingled with his tears and Genya was caught up in the feeling, lifting Gideon off the ground and spinning with him in his arms. He smiled, hiding his face in Gideon’s shoulder briefly as he stopped spinning. His face was flushed, but his eyes were bright and he was smiling as he pulled back to look into Gideon’s eyes.
His eyes of purest sage, cleansing his soul of malice and his overwhelming grief, Even if only for a moment in time. Gideon was a sanctuary.
The silver haired boy was so overjoyed, he couldn't help himself as he gently tugged Genya down so that their lips could meet.
Softness, sparks, butterflies… Gideon closed his eyes and felt like he was floating. Genya’s lips were even softer than he imagined. And Genya, with his heart in his ears, shyly kissed back allowing himself to feel the way they both became weightless. A rush went through him unlike anything he’d ever felt before, and when he dared to inhale through his nose, a deeper element of Gideon was present there. Something not everyone would experience. The taste of his lips…
Gideon broke the kiss, trembling slightly. His nerves caught up to him and he blushed deeply. He met Genya's eyes… and the taller boy was breathless. It took Genya a moment to process the feelings, and Gideon was slightly shying away, stammering a bit.
“S-sorry I- that was sudden wasn't it-”
But Genya's eyes immediately locked onto him and he pulled him back in by his waist. His free hand cupped Gideon's cheek as he kissed him with more confidence. Gideon emitted a surprised squeak into the kiss, but relaxed into it shortly after, knowing he hadn't completely misread Genya. Gideon’s hands traveled to Genya's chest, lightly clutching his yukata.
This kiss broke and both boys caught their breath. Once Gideon’s had returned, he did a happy little dance in Genya's hold as he grinned up at him. “I'm so happy to see you!~”
Genya smirked. “Oh, good, I was thinking that the kiss meant you were pissed that I was here.”
Gideon snorted and lightly play-hit his chest. “No!~”
Gideon had pocketed his letter before he ran out to Genya, so he reached in for it now. He held it up to him. “I wrote you back, I was going to find Soma to send it… But I guess I can just hand it to you now, since you're here.”
Genya took it gently. “Thank you, I'll read it inside. Did… you like your flowers?”
“I did! I love them! I hung them in my window.” Gideon takes his hand and walks to pull him towards the door. “I think Aoi is still cooking. And you can ask the Caterpillars, I've been good about eating all meals given~”
Genya switches their hand hold slightly so he can lace his fingers with Gideon's. They go inside the main entrance to the mansion.
“Gideon”
“Yeah?” Gideon stops and turns to face him.
“... I've… missed you so much. Do you think it'd be okay to share a bed?” He averts his eyes and blushes deeply. “I just… want to hold you.”
Gideon blushes too, squeezing his hand. “I've missed you too. I… I want you, Genya. So… we can share a bed whenever you want to.”
Genya's blush somehow turned a deeper red but he met Gideons eyes. “Y-You… you want me?”
Gideon blushes deeper as well and nods. “Yeah I… wasn't that obvious?”
Genya laughs a little. “I guess it's just nice to have confirmation.”
Gideon gives him a smile. “It may come as a surprise to you, given my good looks and incredible swagger, Genya… but I don't just go around kissing boys.” They start walking again.
Genya gasps playfully. “You don't? Well there goes my secret scandalous image of you.”
“I can definitely pretend to be scandalous for you if it's helpful…you know. For your ‘image’ of me.” he grins, looking at him and arching an eyebrow suggestively.
Genya stammers. “N- ITS NOT LIKE THAT! IT WAS A JOKE!”
Gideon laughs and bumps his hip to his lightly as they walk. “Sure, whatever you say~”
Genya goes quiet because he's short circuiting as they walk and Gideon giggles. He's so cute when he gets flustered.
“...I'm gonna need like two more dates though, before we can really hash out that image.”
“GIDEON-”
Gideon is pretty sure that he felt Genya's soul leave his body through where they laced hands.
The taller boy laughed and groaned, hiding his amused but very embarrassed face. They continued their journey to the dining area in relative quiet, aside from Gideon still giggling softly at Genya's reactions replaying in his head.
They filled the mansion with their jokes and laughter, happy to be back in each other’s company.

Mike- "Snickers, the only one I have a real weakness for."
Shira- "Reese's Cups"
Lily- "Skittles. I have a bowl full of them next to my computer."
Alyona- "Kit Kats."
Have you ever played those ghost urban legend games? Alone or with others?
Mike- "I don't think so
Shira- "No. Maybe it sounds interesting. I could go with a few friends."
Alyona- "No, why would I do that?"
Lily- "I went with some friends to a house that was supposed to be haunted before. It was creepy, but nothing made us think we saw a ghost."
How do you feel about your local autumn weather?
Mike- (Atlanta) "It's similar to Charleston, where I grew up. A bit colder. Not usually as warm as when I lived in Miami. I don't usually mind it."
Shira- (Atlanta) "The average temperature isn't too different than what I grew up in, but it's more prone to cold spells, especially in November. I like a little more stability, but it's not too bad."
Alyona- "Local? I move from place to place. It was cold back in Russia. It's usually warmer here. I don't notice much difference from summer in Florida. Farther north it's more likely to be colder. I saw snow in New York in November once."
Lily- (San Jose) "It's usually nice. We don't usually have a lot of wild temperature swings here any time of the year and it doesn't rain much except during winter."
How does your wardrobe change in fall?
Mike- "Not too much, unless it gets cold. I wear more sweatshirts."
Shira- "More sweaters, maybe a pullover and sweatpants over the gym wear."
Alyona- "I wear warmer clothes, sweaters, more pants instead of skirts. Not usually bundled up like back in Russia."
Lily- "Not much during the day. Maybe tights under skirts, jackets at night. The weather doesn't change that much in Silicon Valley until the middle of winter."
What’s the weather like when it’s fall where you are?
(I feel like this one got answered above for the last two and just don't think the answers would really be much different)
How do you feel about haunted house attractions?
Shira- "James wants to see if I'll jump. I'm trying not to..."
Mike- "My kids like them."
Lily- "They're fun! Most are goofy, but once in a while one might really be scary."
Alyona- "I don't care for them. I pulled a knife on the last person who scared me, so it's probably not a good idea."
#About#Alyona#Shira#Mike#Lily#The 'default' location for the gym is Atlanta so I went with that as where Mike and Shira live#Timeguardians

At Yamamoto Akane’s direction, the cheers went silent as they anticipated the next serve. Futakuchi dribbled the ball, searching for the player he was targeting. The score was 24-23, match point for Dateko.
Y/n tugged at the sleeve of the oversized jacket draped over her shoulders and hands. Her palms were moist and contained imprints from her nails.
Shibayama stiffened on the court yet kept his eyes on the ball. Knowing this could be their last point at the Summer Nationals, Y/n closed her eyes and clenched her hands, thinking of her memories with Shibayama. Still shaking, she quickly inhaled and pushed out a yell from the stands. “GANBATTE SHIBAYAMA!”
And then she fled - not wanting to see all eyes in the stadium looking at her.
*****
Colored pencils laid across the kitchen table. Y/n had set aside a dark blue one for the hair and a light lavender one for the eyes. As she wore her headphones listening to her favourite music, she held a silver colored pencil as she added the finishing touches to fill in the drawing of a metal plate.
“There!” she grinned to herself as she held up the picture of her favourite Naruto character.
“Oh! I like that character too!”
Y/n screamed and fell off her chair. With her bottom feeling sore, she looked up to see Shibayama standing in front of her.
“Ack! I’m sorry!” Shibayama panicked, bowing repeatedly to her. “I didn’t mean to scare you.”
Hiding her face in her hands, Y/n promptly stood up, startling Shibayama. Running towards the kitchen doorway, she bumped into Inuoka.
“Oh! There you are Y/n!” he said. She tried to walk around him, but he just grinned as he kept blocking her exit. “Did you meet Shibayama yet?”
Y/n, whose face got redder by the second, muttered to him, “Nii-chan, you didn’t tell me anyone was coming over.”
“Actually I did,” Inuoka laughed as he pointed out her headphones. “Anyway, go say hi.” He shoved Y/n back into the kitchen, knowing there was no way else to get her through her nerves.
After he placed Y/n right in front of their guest, Shibayama said with a wide, toothy grin, “Hi Y/n! It’s nice to meet you.” He rubbed the back of his neck and added, “Sorry I scared you.”
Y/n blushed. This was the day she met Shibayama.
*****
Y/n bit her lip as she scanned the classroom numbers down the school hallway. Being her first day of high school, all of the rooms and hallways looked the same. Y/n turned the corner, hoping to find the second year classrooms. Her forehead suddenly bumped into someone's face, and looking up, she saw Shibayama clasping his nose.
"AHHH! I'm so sorry!" Y/n apologized. Just as she was about to run away, Shibayama got a hold of her wrist.
"Wait!" he told her. "I want to make sure you're okay!"
Y/n quickly nodded, hoping her answer was enough to satisfy him and let go. But he continued.
"Where were you going?" Shibayama asked. "I don't want you to run away and get lost." Y/n finally turned towards him which allowed him to release his grip on her. "You're still adjusting to high school, right?"
Y/n nodded again as she bit her lip. "I was looking for my brother."
"Oh! He's chatting with another teacher in class 2-2. I can walk you there if you want," he offered.
Y/n would have preferred to look herself, considering this was the second time she embarrassed herself in front of Shibayama. But she didn't have much of a choice if she wanted to find her brother as quickly as possible. "Okay," she complied in a meek voice.
As she followed Shibayama down the hall, her palms continued to sweat. He tried to make small talk but the topic fell flat. Feeling awkward with the silence, she also made an attempt.
"Maybe you should wear a helmet," she quietly told him.
Shibayama turned back to raise an eyebrow at her. "What?" he asked.
"Because I'm clumsy," Y/n added. She saw him blink a couple of times before she continued, "in case I bump into you like that again."
After a beat or two, Shibayama's face lit up. "Oh! Okay! You should get one too!" he said with a little too much excitement. "You probably need it more."
She whispered with a frown, "That was supposed to be a joke."
He stared for a moment and then laughed at himself. He placed a palm on Y/n's head and rubbed her hair. "That would have been funny if I caught on earlier," he grinned.
As he continued to lead the way, Y/n inwardly groaned at how stupid her joke was. But she smiled, blushing not out of embarrassment for once.
*****
Y/n sat on the park bench as she stared at her foot in disbelief. Her foot was wet, cold, and sticky. The back of her neck sweated as she watched the ice cream drip to the ground.
“Hold on a moment!” Shibayama said in a panic, handing her his cone. “I have my towel here!”
“No! Don’t!” Y/n was embarrassed enough already. But of course she continued being clumsy around Shibayama. “You use that towel for volleyball!”
“It’s fine!” he replied with a sweet look. He took off her sandal and wiped her foot with his towel. Y/n went stiff at the gesture, knowing her feet were sweaty and gross. She hoped they didn’t smell or else she’d faint from embarrassment. She was surprised she was able hold her shaking hands still, or else his ice cream cone would have fallen as well.
“There. I think you’ll have to rinse off your foot at home,” he told her, picking up her sandal. “And I don’t think you should wear this either,” he chuckled. The sandal was sticky from the ice cream. Y/n nodded in agreement.
“I can carry you on my back if you want,” he offered with a grin.
“What?” Y/n went flush. “N-no, that’s fine,” she said while lowering her eyes to not make eye-contact.
“Don’t worry about it,” he insisted. “Your house isn’t very far. It’ll be quick.”
Y/n gazed at Shibayama then at her sandal. Trying to take a breath to calm down, she rationalized this wasn’t the worst thing Shibayama had seen her do. For the past two months, she had been eating lunch together with him and her brother. Inuoka tried to encourage her to get to know other people in the class even though she was shy with them. But Shibayama told him it was fun having her around. During that time, he got to know how much of a dork she was, which was really awkward at first, but she started getting more comfortable around him.
“Okay,” she responded, allowing him to give her a piggyback ride.
As Shibayama carried her down the neighbourhood, Y/n felt her heart beat thump faster against his back. Not even Inuoka had carried her like this before. She wondered if Shibayama could feel her heartbeat and really hoped he didn’t.
Shibayama started chatting with her - things like their teachers, their favourite TV shows, and his volleyball team. Y/n had met some of his teammates and planned on coming to watch them at the summer interhigh national tournament.
“I heard from Kenma that Karasuno lost,” he told her. “I’m a little nervous since Karasuno’s a really good team.”
“Really?”
“Yeah,” he continued. “Dateko won this time. They’re really good at blocking.” He sighed. “I might need to get better at follow-ups.” He thought for a moment before he added, “Actually, there might be a lot of block-outs too. I think I just need to be faster in general.”
Y/n knew Shibayama was the team’s main libero now. Yaku’s shoes were hard to fill. “Nii-chan said you’ve gotten better with all of your practice,” she said, trying her best to support him. “Maybe I could help you with some drills?”
Shibayama gently placed her back on her feet, arriving at her house. “Sure,” he said with a shy smile, rubbing the back of his head. “I’d love that.”
*****
It was the match point for their game against Dateko. Futakuchi picked up the ball; it was his serve. He had been targeting Shibayama the whole game, trying to make him crack. Y/n now understood what happened in the foyer of the stadium.
When Y/n came down to meet the team from the stands, she saw Aone pointing a finger at Yamamoto. At first, Futakuchi scolded Aone - only to tell him he should have waited for him. With a smirk, Futakuchi proceeded to point at Shibayama, letting him know as the ace that he would be targeting him.
Shibayama was terrified. It was the first time Y/n had seen him freeze up like that. Inuoka had told her Shibayama used to be a bundle of nerves but she never witnessed it firsthand.
Yet in the midst of that, he was still sweet enough to notice little details. When he saw Y/n rubbing her arms as the A/C ran at full power, Shibayama gave her his jacket.
So Y/n clung onto the jacket as she braced herself for what may be the team’s last moment on court. She could hear cheers for both teams on either side of her. But all she paid attention to was how frightened Shibayama looked, knowing he was targeted. The match would abruptly end if he wasn’t able to get the ball.
The cheers stopped. As Futakuchi dribbled the ball to prepare for his serve, Y/n mustered all of her courage and yelled, “GANBATTE SHIBAYAMA!”
He heard her - turning to her, blinking at her. His clenched jaw finally relaxed into a smile. After the referee blew the whistle, he turned back to focus on the ball.
But before Futakuchi served, a heap of embarrassment dropped on Y/n’s shoulders. She froze, knowing that many eyes turned to her when she broke the silence with her cheer.
Then breaking under the pressure, with cheeks red and hot, she fled.
*****
“I found you!”
Y/n jumped at the shock of hearing someone’s voice.
“I knew I’d find you here,” Shibayama said, grinning.
“How did you know I’d be here?” she asked.
“Well, I didn’t think you’d go to the restaurant or to the hairdresser,” he laughed. He was right. Trying to find a place to calm herself down, she left the stadium and found a pet store. She had been watching the puppies running around, giggling at their cute barks.
“Oh wait!” she suddenly remembered, turning to him. “Did you win?”
“No.”
Y/n bit her lip, eyes filled with worry. “I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!” she apologized. “I shouldn’t have distracted you!”
“N-no!” Shibayama stuttered. “It’s not your fault.” He gave her a small smile as he nervously scratched his cheek. “I actually did really well after I heard you cheering for me.”
Y/n’s eyes grew, not believing what she did actually helped. Then a smile formed on her face.
“Thank you,” Shibayama told her. “E-especially since I know how easily embarrassed you get.” He started to blush. “I really like you Y/n.”
He continued to share how he had a crush on her ever since they first met. Inuoka would share about her - how she was smart and really supportive, how she also loves volleyball and how Inuoka was able to spend time with her that way. It made him want to meet her because she sounded like someone he could be friends with. He didn’t know he’d actually fall in love with her.
“What? N-no, I-,” Y/n started to reply. “I wouldn’t be a good girlfriend, I-”
“No, don’t reject me for that.” Shibayama took her hands and looked at her with determination. “No, I don’t want to be just friends.”
Y/n blinked a couple of times, surprised at his assertive tone. “U-uh, okay,” she replied. She couldn’t say no to that.
Shibayama got so excited that he cheered and then gave Y/n a kiss on her forehead. When she finally noticed what had happened, she hid her face in his chest, telling him not to look at her.
*****
I hope you liked it! Sorry this took so long. I wanted this to be a one-shot since Shibayama doesn’t have one. I thought Shibayama would be a cute fit because he'd be able to relate to being embarrassed. :)
Some of you might have caught the same joke from my meet cute episode from Operation Moniwa SMAU but told in a different way. lol.
Here are my other stories.

Match-up request from Anonymous:
Heeeey, can I ask for match-up? I'm shortie (5"0) with brown hair and brown eyes. I love hoodies. I'm really shy with people that I don't really know, but I'm actually a dork. I'm so clumsy (I can fall anywhere on anything) and I'm not funny at all (my jokes are so stupid). I'm biology and chemistry nerd. I really love listening to music, drawing and volleyball. I really love my friends and I try to support them all the time. I become embarrassed really easily. Oh and I love dogs *^*. Thank you❤

Distraction (How to Get Away with Murder)
Characters: Teagen Price x fem!reader, Teagen Price x Dom! reader
Summary: Y/N and Teagen have both been under a lot of stress lately and needed diffuse. //EXTREME SMUT WARNING, 18+ ONLY
--
You went to 1518 Bar and Grill in hopes of making your problems temporarily disappear. You were one of Professor Keating's students and you and Michaela are constantly trying to one up one another. But competing over something as vigorous as one of the best lawyers in Philly.
Your eyes was starting to twitch and that was definitely not a good sign. Because once your eye starts to twitch, the twitching spreads to my muscles. You walk into the bar and instantly become overwhelmed with the scents of grilled chicken, toasted bread and potato skins.
You were more concerned about the booze but your growling stomach tells your otherwise. You sit at the bar and order an chicken avacodo ranch sandwich. While you wait, you down a few tequila shots. "You know, they say it's not a great idea to drink shots on an empty stomach," a familiar voice chimes.
You look over your shoulder to Teagan Price leaning on the bar with a small smirk on her lips. "Ms. Price, hi, what brings you here?" "Probably the same reason why you're here. To temporarily forget my problems," she says before drinking one of your shots.
"To temporarily forgetting our problems," you say, raising a shot glass. She takes one and collides it with your before you both drink your shots. You lips twist because of the sour, burning taste. "Awe, are you a babe in the drinking game?" She taunts. "I am a babe but not in this game. I'm more of a wine cooler kind of girl," you explain.
"Then why the shots?" You sigh deeply before saying, "Desperate times." Your food finally arrives and the first thing that you go for are the fries. Its always been a routine of yours. Fries first, burger later. You see Teagen reach for one of your fries, and you hold her and presses if against the table.
"There are many things that I can let slide, but stealing fries is not one of them," you taunt. She raises an eye brow at you and you let go of her hand. You try to shake the excited feeling you got from touching her. No, Y/N, she's you're boss's boss. Don't even go there.
While you were lost in your thoughts, she took not one, not two, but four fries. Your mouth falls open in disbelief. She closes your mouth with her forefinger, giving you a chance to inhale her sweet, linger scent of cherries. "I always get what I want, Y/L/N," she says, holding eye contact.
My God, the way your name rolls off her tongue makes the heat flush from your cheeks. "Well so do I," you say before eating a few fries. "So I've heard. You've become a real headache for Michaela," "She's has endless tricks up her sleeve," you say, your eye starting to twitch again.
"That's because she has Annalise whispering into her ear. The fact that you can stand on your own without a mentor is impressive," she explains. A small plays on your lips. "Ah, ah, ah, don't get all cocky on me." "I know when to humble myself and when to strut myself out,"
"Do you now?" "Of course." She steals another fry and you scoot your tray away from her. "Teagen, you are treading on thin ice," you state. "All I'm hearing is all bark and no bite," "Oh I'm sure you've seen plenty of my bites and my barks against Michaela."
"Eh, they're mediocre," she shrugs. "Then mentor me," "What? Uh uh, I've already got enough on my plate between Emmett, the firm, Annalise, and her students." "Wow, seems like you have a lot more problems than I do. Just the thought of midterms make me want to jump off a bridge,"
"Ah, the good old days," "Definitely not good, and surely not old. You are literal embodiment of black don't crack," you compliment. She chuckles and your heart skips a beat when you see her perfect, white smile. You have to get out of there before you do anything you'll regret.
"It seems like you need to take the edge off." Oops, too late. "Why do you think I'm here?" she playfully snaps. "That's not what I meant." You two hold eye contact for a moment and had a small, silent conversation. "After your sandwich,"
**
You enter her apartment and look around at the beige, classy theme Teagen has going around. "You like?" "I don't expect anything less from you. I'm surprised you don't have a nude picture for yourself." "That's in my bedroom, where you should be." "Oh so that's how it's going to be?"
"I thought you expected nothing less?" "I'm just saying, it'll be hard to effectively diffuse if you're on top," "I'm not a pillow princess," she says, crossing her arms but you can tell that she was contemplating it. "You are tonight,"
You lift her chin to bring your lips to hers. You pull her closer by her hips and trail your hands up towards the zipper of her dress. You unzipped her dress and she shimmed out of it before reconnecting her lips to yours. You walk her against the counter top and ghosted your hands over the curve of her ass.
You pull away from her lips and began kissing and sucking at her neck. Her soft moans made your pussy throbs but you had to take your time with her. You peppered kiss down her breasts and her stomach. You ghost over her clothed bundle of nerves and heard her whimper.
You smirk against her thighs and drag her underwear down her legs to reveal a beautiful, brown tinted pussy. She gasps when you pull her closer by the back of her thighs. You lick her painfully slow and her legs were already starting to tense.
You roll your tongue into her fold and make sure to hit her clit every time. Her hands found her way to your hair and pushed you closer to her. You plunge your tongue deep into her and drag the tip of your tongue against the top of her wall. You kept this motion going and sucked at her nub.
"Please, Y/N, oh God," she moans. "Patience baby," you say before going in and out of her pussy with your tongue. Her legs were beginning to give out but you didn't stop until her walls walls were convulsing around your tongue. You swallowed and licked every drop of her cum.
"You did amazing." You say before kissing her sensually. She pulls you closer by your belt before unbuckling it and you shove it down your legs. You pull away from her lips to take off your shirt. You push her back into the counter and lift her into your arms so her legs were wrapped around your waist.
You knew you were able to do that because you did a lot of power lifting over the summer. She tugs at your hair and you moan into her mouth. "Where's your bedroom?" "Up the stairs and to the left." She works on your neck as you walk up the stairs with her in your arms.
You chuckle when she nibbles at your ear lobe and when you found out she was right. There was a nude painting of her that sat right above her king sized bed. You pushed her on to the bed and licked up her stomach. "Toys," you say before kissing her. She pulled away from me and turned on her stomach to reach for the drawer.
You admire the view while it lasted and she set a drawer full of vibrators, dildos and strap ons on the bed. As soon as she fully turned around, you plunged two fingers into her and her head went back. Her mouth fell open as you curled your fingers before pumping them out of her. "I'm impressed you have so many toys, baby girl,"
"Oh," she moans. Your fingers went deeper and you rub your nose across her nub, making her entire body jolt forward. You teasingly lick the nub and she yells out in bliss. You look up at her and saw her eyes snapped shut. She was close.
You squeezed her ass and pulled her closer as you absolutely devoured her. She was crying out a lot louder this time. Her legs were kicking and spasming under me until she came. You hum before taking off your underwear and reaching into the drawer for a dildo.
You wrap the belts around your hips and thighs. She positions herself in the middle of the bed and spreads her legs for me. "Such a good girl." You line the dildo up with her and slowly push yourself into her. She digs her nails into your back, arching it slightly. Her mouth flies open so you more your hips at a slow pace to start.
She unclips my bra and takes one of your boobs into her mouth. Your back arches again and she yells out. "Move faster, damn it!" You stop, making her whimper out. You reach back into the drawer and grabbed a vibrator.
"Fuck," she says. You rail into her as fast as your hips can take and put the vibrator on the highest setting before applying it to her clit. She pulls away from me and spreads herself out like a starfish. She was practically screaming in my ear, begging for more until her body went rigid.
You slowly pull out of her and she lays there motionless. "You okay?" You ask, brushing her baby hairs from her forehead. "You're really good," she chuckles and eyes were barely staying open. "Why thank you," you tease. "A-alright, it's your turn," "Oh, I know, honey."
You take off the dildo and set it to the side. You take out another dildo and gave it to her. "Put this on." She complied and you slide yourself right onto the dildo. Your eyes flutter close at it fills you up completely. Your body curls when she takes your nipples into her hand and rubs them with the pads of her thumb.
A series of soft moans leaves your lips as you bounce on the dildo. She takes one of your breasts into her mouth and uses her free hand to rub your clit. "Fuck!" Your hands grab the headboard for dear life. You thrusts your hips against her fingers but you completely loose it when she curls her tongue around nipple.
"Damn it, that feels good!" You exclaim. Soon after, your orgasm came. You continued to thrust against the dildo and she went from one breast to the next. Your head fell into her neck until you heard a vibration. "Now you'll know how I felt." She put it on its highest setting and you were screaming at the top of your lungs.
**
Morning of, you were the first one up and you felt great. You could only imagine how she feels. You went on for hours until both of your bodies gave out. You looks at her with a small smile and kisses down her neck warmly. She moans and leans into your touch.
*I'll make breakfast, you are pancake or waffle kind of girl," "I'm niether" "What? You don't like pancakes or waffles?" "Look, Y/N, I don't-" "Let me stop you right there. I know exactly what you're going to say. And just know that I understand," You explain.
She turns around to face you and you hold the side of her face. "I'm just glad that you got the chance to get your mind off of things. I'll see my way out," you stand from the bed and picked up your clothes. You were halfway down the stairs until Teagen called after you.
"Y/N, wait," "You don't need to feel bad, Teagen." "I don't, I just wanted to ask if you wanted to go to dinner?" "You don't have to do that," "Believe me, I want to. Because that was some of that best sex I've ever had," she adds, making you two laugh.
She meets you at the middle of the stairs and adds, "Now about breakfast." Her eyes fall downwards and you smiled, knowing exactly where this was going.

congrats on your milestone! i recently booked a trip to portugal that i'm really excited about. could i maybe get ☆ + some fluffy luna x ginny?
oh my gosh that sounds incredible!! i was supposed to go there last summer but then stuff happened, BUT anyway, i was told by the friends i was supposed to go with that it was AMAZING and really beautiful! hope you have a wonderful trip♡
here’s some luna x ginny-fluff, hope you like it!
Join my celebrations!
Pairing: Luna/Ginny
Setting: Domestic relationship, a few years after the war
Warnings: None, except for, well, fluff
It was a normal day. An almost irritatingly normal day, as ofmatter in fact. There were more of those days than of any other type, and Ginny was fairly content with it. Large, heavy snowflakes werefalling rapidly on the other side of the window, the house smelled ofapple- and cinnamon tea, and Ginny was curled up in an armchair witha thick blanket that her mum had knitted covering her legs. Thefireplace was roaring and the radio was playing muggle Christmassongs; Ginny quite liked them, they reminded her of her dad. Everymuscle in her body was sore from practice yesterday, but if anything,it just made her appreciate the comfort of a warm home on a coldwinter day all the more.
As she sat there, she heard the front door open and a few momentslater, Luna appeared in the doorway. The purple tassel hat on herhead was covered in snow, and as were her wool-clad shoulders, whileher hair was soaking wet. Her expression was nonetheless one ofcomplete and utter serenity. She wandered over to Ginny, shoes andall still on, and smiled airily as she dragged her fingers throughGinny’s hair, pushing a couple of stray strands behind her ear.
Ginny closed her eyes for a couple of moments, enjoying the touch.“How was your day?” she asked.
“It was quite alright,” Luna said, eyes turning thoughtful.“There was an issue with the article we're doing on Mr.Shacklebolt, but other than that it was a reasonably enjoyable day.”
“What kind of issue?” Ginny asked against her betterjudgement.
“Oh, nothing too spectacular. The Ministry doesn't wish for thearticle to come out, but...”
“But what else is new,” Ginny finished for her.
“Hm,” Luna hummed. She appeared to be lost in thought for afew moments before she brightened all of a sudden, “Oh, I cameacross a stray kitten on my way home. It was quite cold and hungry.”
Ginny blanched. “Oh, that's sad. What did you do with it?”
“I brought it home and put it in the basket out in the hall andwrapped it in a blanket,” Luna said, as if she was talking aboutsomething as unremarkable as laundry. Without waiting for a response,Luna half-ran out to the hallway, and a short while later, shereturned with a bundle of blanket in her arms, and rid of her hat, coat and shoes.
Ginny straightened up and leaned forward. And quite right; there, mostly hidden in rumples of the thick, dusty pink wool blanket, was atiny, orange kitten, certainly no more than a couple of months old.Its eyes were closed and its breathing was deep and steady. It wasfast asleep. Ginny felt an urge to surge forward, grab the weecreature, and hold it in her arms for days and days.
“It's a boy. He's rather cute, wouldn't you say?” Luna said asshe stroked the kitten's head with one finger.
“Bit of an understatement,” Ginny said, snorting. She smiledat Luna. “Were you thinking of keeping him?”
“Perhaps. It would be nice to have company when you're atpractice, or out of town or out of the country for a game.”
Carefully as to not wake the kitten, Luna turned around and satdown in Ginny's lap. Ginny folded her arm around Luna's waist, pressed a kiss to her cheek, then rested her head on Luna's shoulder. They sat there like that for a while, the only sound breaking thesilence being the crackles from the fireplace across the room, andthe quiet song playing on the radio. Ginny was fairly certain the oneplaying now was called 'O Holy Night'. They playedthat one quite often and she truly enjoyed it.
“Sounds like a good idea,” she said eventually. “I know youget lonely sometimes, it'd be nice to know you aren't alone when I'moff doing this and that.”
Luna smiled. “Hm. It does get quite lonely from time to time,”she agreed. “I'd rather like to keep him, if you think it'salright.”
“I'm fine with it,” Ginny said.
And so they sat there, the two of them and the kitten, cuddled up,a few days before Christmas, while the snow fell outside, and Ginnythought to herself that all in all, she could do with moreirritatingly normal days in her life.

Sneak Peak
Genre : Smut
Characters: Taehyung!Fuckboy x Reader
Word Count: 3 111
Warnings : Taehyung being an ass, Barging into dressing room, Swearing, Oral (female receiving), Slight Choking if you squint?, Not really name calling(he calls you bitch once), Unprotected Sex (Stay Safe!!!), Cum consumption.. That's about what I can remember🤷♀️
A/N: So this was really just a 20 minute quick write, when I started writing it I had no idea where it was going to go. It's a bit bland to my taste, but at least it's something. End of the day, this is just an accomplishment for me that I'm at least posting! If you see any mistakes please feel free to point them out, my eyes are so tired I wouldn't be surprised if I missed anything. Enjoy!! 💜✌️
______________________________________________
"Come on! Just a sneak peak!" Taehyung tried again to throw his gaze over the curtained railing of your changing room.
His bouncy and wavy silver haired head was met with the loud thump of the end of a coat hanger. And this was firmly clutched in your hand, a scowl painted as clear as daylight on your face.
"For the finally time, I said NO! Go be a perverted ass somewhere else! Leave me alone!" You were breathing heavily, hand still clutching onto the coat hanger and your other hand holding your t-shirt to your heart. Failing miserably at trying to cover your exposed bra and chest.
"OW! That was unnecessary!" You could hear Taehyung mumbling to himself, probably running his fingers through his preciously styled locks and rubbing at, a hopefully, forming bump from your attack.
"Go bother someone else! I don't even know why you are here, like, what gives?"
After making sure that the curtains are securely closed, once more at that, you turn back to the full length mirror in the corner. A dress you were planning on buying placed delicately over the gold frame. You've been saving for months now to get this item, and you'll be damned if Kim Tae-fucking-hyung, is going to distract you from your end goal.
You grab the lacy summer dress and hold it against your body. Admiring the delicate beads stitched into the front. Softly giggling at how the ribbons that tie up the back tickle your naked front.
All to distracted by admiring the piece of fabric, you didn't even notice Taehyung busy checking you out between the many pleats and folds of the deep crimson red curtains. Until you spot his silvery dyed hair, which was in stark contrast with the fabric. Basically sticking out like a sore thumb.
Gasping out loud, clutching the dress to your chest even more, you spin around ready to slap his stare away.
"TAEHYU-" Your sentence was cut short by a large warm hand covering your lips. Eyes wide with shock, you come to realise Taehyung stepped inside of your dressing room. He's currently in this small space. With you.. Alone. Practically feeling a heart attack making its way, Taehyung's deep and slightly breathless voice washes over you.
"Shhhh.. Stay quiet! We wouldn't want to be kicked out, now would we?" He was talking in whispers, his head bent down towards you, but his frame still towering over you. You heard the faint sound of footsteps walking past your changing room. Someone muttering to themselves while looking for Taehyung.
And this is how you ended up with Taehyung in the changing room. Half naked. And with his hand covering your mouth and his eyes pleadingly staring into yours.
Meet Kim Taehyung, the local campus fuckboy. Thee Fuckboy. With his flawless skin, dark chocolate eyes (even though he prefers wearing coloured contacts, "It's for the foreign exchange students! I look more exotic to them then!") and completely fuckable attire, Taehyung could have any girl a withering mess in his bed.
But of course with his looks he has the sexual hunger of an animal. Everyday on the lookout for a new piece of meat he could devour, and then drop as soon as he's had his fun. And today was no different. Were you next on his list of conquests? Definitely not. You just so happened to be at the wrong time and the wrong place. Well.. In Taehyung's favour, you were at the right time and the right place.
Taehyung was out at the mall with his latest side piece when something must have gone wrong. He's tried to duck and dive from her since leaving the food court. And this is how he came to a stumbling stop at your curtain. You share at least 3 classes and he could recognise you easily from your voice. You never shut up in class when it comes to giving answers.
He begged you, if he could hide in the changing room with you, and you were having none of it. Until he actually realised where he was. And that you, in his mind, were naked. And his whole game plan swerved from getting away from a needy pussy, to wanting to get into an other pussy. Yours that is.
Listening intently at the fading footsteps, you breathing becomes more laboured. His eyes become more hooded, seeing your flushed skin and blown out eyes. The doe eyed look turning him on immensely. His tongue darted out between his lips, true fuckboy style, running over his bottom lip before bitting into the same flesh. His eyes traveled to your strained throat, exposed collarbones, the lace fabric clutched over your chest and finally down your naked legs.
His gaze slowly ran back up to settle on your face, heat growing everywhere. You could swear it felt like molten lava running through your veins. Even the slight throb between your legs were distracting you from calming your racing heart.
Why aren't you pushing him away? Why aren't you screaming? Why are you just standing there letting his gaze eat you up in all your glory? Well because it was Kim Tae-fucking-hyung, that's why. One can not simply push him away and call it a day. What the fuckboy wants, the fuckboy gets. And in some completely fucked up reality and/or situation, he had his eyes on you.
"You know.. I've always dreamt of making you shut up. But it never ended up like this." His heated gaze fell on your eyes. "Now, I'm going to remove my hand. And you're not going to make a sound. Got it?" His words were stern, making you fight back a moan. Nodding your head, you felt the pressure and warmth slowly disappear from the lower half of your face.
Sucking in a deep breath, you try and steady your heart again. Clutching at the dress even tighter. But as promised, no sound escaped your lips. Instinctively though, you pressed your thighs together and tried to make yourself seem as small as possible. His body heat radiating off of him and onto you. You could taste the dirty thoughts zooming in the air around him.
"We're going stay in here awhile, or well, till Soonmin outside fucks off and gets the picture. She's been a hassle since we got here. But enough about her, let's talk about you.." He dipped his head down suddenly, resting his lips at the shell of your ear. Your mouth opened with a silent yelp. Fists holding your dress closer to your body. He easily slipped his right knee between yours, sliding his thigh up until your core was resting comfortably on him. His left hand slid up your arm, holding down your shoulder and his right hand gently tugged the dress from your hands. "You'll find that you won't be needing this sweetheart.." His voice sent a cold shiver down your spine. Your fingers letting go of your precious item and there you are. Exposed in your mismatching underwear, cornered by the legendary fuckboy himself.
His right hand carelessly tossed the dress to the ground before his hand bypassed holding your waist and went straight for cupping your still covered breast. You back arched slightly, against your will and you sucked in a breath. A rumbling chuckle bursts through his chest, and he presses into you even more. His thigh now lazily rubbing against your soaked core. You tilt your hips with his motions, seeking friction to its best. He laughs again.
"Needy little thing aren't you? Look at you. Practically riding my thigh, half naked and in a dressing room. You filthy girl. I bet you're soaked as well.. Should I check?" He pulled his head back so he could watch you. Waved hair was in his eyesight but the dark look in his eyes made you grow even wetter. Sliding his left hand from your shoulder, he rests it on your throat. His long fingers applying enough pressure on your main artiraries, making your throughts hazy. His right hand leaves your chest and skillfully slips pass the waistband of your underwear and he strokes one finger over your bundle of nerves. The lewd sound of your wet core makes itself known. He bites his lips again and moans.
"You're absolutely soaked right through. I bet there's even a stain on my jeans from you.. You dirty dirty girl.. Are you just as hungry as I am, hmm? Because sweetheart, I'm famished. And you sound delicious, I can only dream of what you taste like"
With that he drops to his knees in front of you, pushing your legs apart and pulling your ruined panty's down your legs. He quickly tucked the damp fabric into his back pocket. A horrible habit he has for marking his conquests, stealing their ruined underwear.
"Now Baby Girl, before I do anything.. I need to hear that you want this as well.." His eyes looked up to you and your words got caught in your throat. You finally understood why no girl could turn him down. Not only is he drop dead gorgeous, has the sex-appeal of a Greek God but he still had the nerve to ask for permission. Something almost all guys lacked in today's age.
He quirked an eyebrow at you, still waiting for your approval. Your dripping cunt in front of him slowly making him lose his resolve, and your aroused scent made the bulge in his jeans grow more uncomfortable.
"Y-yes.. Y-you.. I.." You stumbled over your words, your mouth suddenly dry and you looked panicked. Has your brain finally turned into mush?!
"Say it, tell me you want me as much as I want you.." His words were more firm, his fingers digging into your calves. Growling, he pulled your left leg over his shoulder, his breath now tickling your aching core.
"Please! Please eat me out Tae! Please!" You finally found your voice with the jerky movement he pulled you with. Your hands instantly flying down to his hair, sinking into the locks. Tugging, you tilt your hips into his direction, coaxing him into putting his mouth and tongue on you.
Without resistance, he dipped his head between your wet folds. His tongue darting out and taking a flat tongued swipe from your entrance all the way to your clit and back again. Reveling in your addictive taste, he nibbles on your bud of nerves. Slightly tugging and then rolling his tongue over it with slow circular motions. Your eyes closed and you tilted your head back against the mirror behind you. More shivers broke out on your skin. Your mind lost in the heavenly clouds of lush that Taehyung's skillful tongue put you in.
The coil under your stomach slowly started twisting tighter and heating up. At the same moment Tae decided not to just plunge one finger or even two fingers into your clenching entrance.. He pushed three fingers into you, your wetness making it extremely easy for him. The stretch was so sudden you let out a strangled cry of arousal. Your right knee shook and you were holding onto dear life on Tae's hair. You felt your end closing in on you.
"God look at you.. Your hungry cunt is just swallowing my fingers. You feel so good Baby Girl.. You make the perfect little plaything, just for me baby.." Taehyung's eyes were fascinated by how well you were taking his fingers, even by how wet and tight you felt around him. Without thinking he leaned in on you, just off center of your pelvic. He began sucking hickies into your soft, unmarked skin. Marking you as his for the time being.
"Tae.. Tae please.. I need more, fuck me.. F-fuck me.." Your words were breathy and you were stuck on your edge of bliss. His fingers purposefully avoiding your g-spot. He wanted you to suffer just a little longer. But hearing you pleading for him to screw you, he couldn't hold back. With a growl he pulled his fingers from you, and ripped your leg from his shoulder. The feeling of emptiness nearly making you sob.
He rushed up to his feet, tugging at the button and zip of his jeans. Quickly pulling the bothersome pants from his middle, it falls to a pool around his ankles. Two strong hands grabs hold of your ass and hauls you up, making you wrap your legs around his waist and your right hand slips from his hair to cling onto his neck.
That's when you felt Taehyung's throbing cock press against your slit. You nearly came on the spot. Desperately looking for friction again, you don't even hesitate to start rubbing your core up and down the underside of his shaft.
"Fuck sweetheart.. You really are needy"
He growls the words into your collarbone before biting down on the soft flesh. Pulling a delighted moan from your chest. Tilting his hips back, he easily lines up his cock to your core and with a finally growl into the crook of your neck, he plunges forward. With one thrust, he gets enveloped by your warm walls.
Both of you sighing outloud at the exotic sounds of wet heat and the feeling of pressure. He stretches you just beyond your limit, the burning sensation quickly evaporating to pleasure.
"Tae move! I can't take it!" You all but squeak into his chest, arms and legs both shaking from the overwhelming sensations.
With a grunt, he moves his hips back and then back into you just before he slips out. Slamming his hips against yours fills the quiet space with skin meeting skin. With every thrust he pushes deeper into you, until he's buried to the base inside you. Your contracting wet walls around him makes it difficult to stand. His legs wanting to give out underneath himself, but he determinedly pushes through and continues to plough into you over and over again.
"Fuck.. You're so tight baby.. Fuck fuck fuck.. I want to fill you up so well.. I can feel myself stretching you.. Jesus.." Taehyung's got his forehead resting against your shoulder now, concentrating on chasing both your highs. The soft mewls of pleasure you whisper out into the shell of his ear makes him grunt in return. The coil inside you uncomfortably tight and wanting to let go. With another tilt of his hips he enters you at a different angle, the head of his cock now hitting your g-spot over and over again.
"Fuck! Right there Tae!" You yell, tightening your legs around him. With another grunt he complies, if anymore possible, moving faster and harder.
"Cum for me baby.. Cum around my cock like the dirtyittle bitch that you are!" His teeth bites at your throat and you release another string of pleasurable moans. You finally give in to your bliss and cry out in ecstasy. Tae shoves his shoulder into your mouth and you bite down hard, trying to muffle the sound. Your walls quiver and clutch around his cock, milking him of everything he's worth. Your hips not being able to hold still as you try and ride out your high with Taehyung. Taehyung pumps into you a few more shallow times, his end also approaching fast.
"Fuck Baby Girl.. I'm going to cum.. Shit!"
Suddenly his hands lower you to the ground, effectively and unwillingly sliding out of your still trembling core. Still blissed out of your mind, with heavy eyelids you look up from resting against the mirror, and up at him. There he stood with his eyes watching you, eyes darting to take in every little detail of your face while his hand fisted around his meat. Your wetness making it easy for his cock to slide over his palm. The lewd sound of him beating his meat in front of you, makes another heat spasm run through you.
"Open wide for me sweetheart.. You look a bit hungry.."
His brows furrow and he tilts his head back. You could see his cock starting to twitch and quickly opened your mouth. Tongue hanging out, ready to catch his seed.
Just in time four large strings of white milky cum erupted from his cock head, nearly painting your tongue, mouth, cheek and chin. Now completely spent from having the daylights fucked out of you, you simply stare up at Taehyung with a sleepy expression. You watch as he tucks himself back into his jeans and buttons and zips himself up. Pulling at his supreme t-shirt and running his clean hand through his hair, he makes himself publicly presentable.
His eyes, full of mischief, looks down at you and admires the work he's made of you. Bending down on to his haunches, he runs a hand down the side of your head, flattening the mangled mess of hair.
"Thanks Baby Girl, that's just what I needed. I owe you a solid for helping me"
With a wink, and one final lip bite he gets up and turns to the curtain. There you could still see your purple panty hanging from his back pocket. Poking his head out, checking to see if the coast is clear, he turns back to you over his shoulder. Placing two fingers in a salute to his forehead, a cocky grin over his lips, he leaves you as is in the dressing room. You could faintly make out the casual whistle he makes as he strolls away.
It's the next day at campus, your photography class soon to start. Students were sheepishly making their way to their assigned seats while waiting for the professor.
The day before still plays out in your mind, how you had to clean yourself with your t-shirt and ended up wearing your new dress. Having to explain that you had a wardrobe malfunction and that's why you had to wear the dress out the store. After paying and having to scurry away from the judging eyes of the cashier, you vowed never to cross paths with Taehyung again.
"Ahem~.. Hey.. Psst" Irritable and still lost in thought you turn around with a rude "What do you want?!" just to be shocked into silence. There sat Kim Tae-fucking-hyung, smug and proud.
The good-for-nothing sod left you just like that! How in God's names does he still pull girls when he treats them like that?!
"Hey, did you do the homework for today's class? Do you mind if I can just catch a sneak peak?" His bright smile almost blinds you and his wink nearly has you falling to your knees for him again. Goddammit.

Going to hope my copy of the anniversary edition of The Man in the Red Velvet Dress is just behind that bag over there so I can check it for the thing about convincing feminine voices. While it isn't my only book on that and related subject matters being updated in 2011 it could very well be a candidate.
Also listened to a podcast about the mystery weekend of SBTB and one of the reviewers called Larry Cedar hot.
~muffled~ That's Master Larry, I didn't get an MFA for nothing.
Dolphin brain must separate that Larry from the New Monkees Larry because he's Baby Larry. Even if he's 50 now. Make a meme of that lady carrying a man and holding her hand out at someone else with Marty Ross carrying Larry Saltis. And Sean Altman carrying that kid he does the Everly Set with.
In other news I got my TV hooked up. It's one of those without proper wifi so I'm stuck with that company's version of free tv. I got one local news channel and a couple other ones I like enough, and old Elvira shows go figure. It also has me wondering if some of the buffering and dead air shit is what paid streaming does. And if so I ain't paying for shit.
This isn't quite the shittiest service the provider offers, they have a boomer tech-phobic just enough to Email version, but it's definitely down there. After hearing the bitching at the last house over the bundle I decided the $19.95 you get what you get and you'll have to deal with it package. We don't game or Netflix so it's working.
Might real life outside today, might real life here today, all depends on the weather. But I'm definitely going to look for the books.
And thanks to foresight me for deciding to put my shoe and slipper bag where I could get to it because otherwise my feets would be freezing. The rest of me would still be warm because of menopause.
It's weird with my feet being cold tho because all summer I was unable to figure out if it was neuropathy or vitamin deficiency or anemia or all of the above making my feet feel like they were burning. I tried some remedies that didn't work, like putting Vape-O-Rub on my feet and not being able to get it off fast enough but it might work for you, but eating better and hydrating properly has helped.
Anemia and some foot pain kind of goes hand in hand but not like that form of burning.

2064 Read Only Memories: A Review
youtube
If you haven't played this game, then are there other point and click, cyberpunk kidnapping, mystery games that came in the Racial justice bundle that you think I should check out? Let me know all about them in the comments.the garden center of my closest hardware store and I’m trying to decide if the start up cost of 15 bucks in in my budget.
Welcome back to another video game review here on Mummified Games. Today were going to be taking a look at the modern Point and Click Mystery game 2064: Read Only Memories. By Midboss.
This game has a lot of charm to it. I Love how this game presents itself. The Music, art, story, and voice work, is all great and do a really great job of pulling me in. I did not want to stop playing. This was the first time where I was like okay maybe i play for 2 hours. And then write the review. But sadly there was no way I could do that if I wanted to make my deadline.
So the game is a future cyberpunk scene where Humans have found a way to cybernetically and biologically augment their bodies. Sort of just like every other Cyberpunk cenario. Just par for the course at this point.
Wouldn't have it any other way.
But what's great about this game is that it's not overly burdened with the constant narrative of life sucks and there's inequality and class disparity.
It's not dystopian cyberpunk, it's more optimistic. People seem to really be jammin with the future that they find themselves in. For the most part.
So it's your standard affair people are making so many augmentations to themselves in so many different ways. That there is a rebel group that is coming up that wants to see humanity return to who they were.
Not like a full blown god's perfect image, it's not a religious thing. But still embracing tradition and what makes humans human.
I don't know if we have the science to make Snake people then I'm all for it.
Ooo la la.
There are Robots that this big company is making that are designed to Walk like the humans, talk like the humans. But it's all just fancy code. And then the game tells you about one scientist that is working on transcending that limitation of just fancy code. And make something new.
Story intro out of the way, The scene opens with your less than standout apartment and you learn that you are a journalist, sort of.
And after you go through a nothing of a tutorial. As in like it's almost not even there cause it's so basic. You write a report and then go to bed.
INCITING ACTION
In the middle of the night a little blue robot hacks your door. And breaks into your apartment. Interfaces with your computer, cleans your apartment and also tries to clean the old computer, bricking it in the process.
You wake up and they tell you that they have selected you out of all known contacts of their master to help them track their master down. He was Captured last night and you need to join the robot to track down their master.
The robot's name is Turing, probably named after the real person Alan Turing the Computer Scientist.
A note about the dialogue and interactions with Turing. ALL THEIR LINES ARE VOICED! This game gives you so much during the process. There is a lot of reading to be doing in this game and luckily it's not all put on you.
I don't want you to think that I don't like Reading. Or that I think reading is hard. But if I'm meant to put multiple hours into a game. Doing nothing but reading for the entirety of it can get tiring
So I'm glad that so much is fully voiced. Gives you the chance to look down and tweet your love of this game for a second.
And that if there is a name or something that comes up you instantly know how it's meant to be pronounced. Instead of having to wait till you say it outloud in a video game review and suddenly everyone thinks “wait Tony, you say its like that? Wow okay”
Look, I have yet to hear anyone talk about Itch in casual conversation so I have no idea if you need to add the Dot I O to the end of it or if I sound like a Boomer who says out loud Dot Com at the end of every website name. “Yeah i just look it up on Google Dot Com”
I'm trying here folks I really am.
So after Turing tells you about what they need you join them on their mission to track down their creator and figure out what's at the bottom of this whole thing.
A note about the profile creation scene, it's quite funny and I thought it was super cool how they include multiple ways of character settings.
There's nothing visual that you can do to change your character so there's that. But Turing asks you for your name, you just type it out and I was excited for maybe a robot voice that was going to try to pronounce Mummified but it didn't go well.
Asks you for your pronouns, Yes! I love it. I would expect nothing less from a developer like Midboss. The people who host the Steam Summer of Pride Sale for the last couple of years Highlighing Queer games.
But the fact that they don't just limit to just He/Her/They but also Zir, and another one that slips my mind. And also an option to input your own preferred pronouns. SO COOL!
And I was ready to maybe answer one more silly question. That's where I was thinking the game would take things, assuming based on its sense of humor and the jokes that would come up in this game.
But no it was a real question about dietary needs and restrictions, to be kept in mind when out and about and talking about food. Holy crap that's so cool.
So the game gives you options like Omnivore, Vegetarian, Vegan, Halal, Gluten Free Dairy fr
What a super cool thing to include in your game. This just adds to the inclusion that is offered to players of all different ways of life.
So I just hunted down the list of food options in the video recording I took of this game and I'm reminded of just how funny this game is.
There are great jokes in this. There are subtle allegories to our own real world things in this game.
Turing says they found a better door that you could use to replace the current door you have due to its sub standard encryption features to prevent people from hacking though. And they recommend a particular model of door and mention it has over 300 reviews on Congo.
Wait... Congo. HA! Okay that got me. Cause you know Congo the river. And the Amazon river. I thought it was funny.
Also there is a joke about the Creator having a list of different things on the TV that they were watching like Ted’s Tech Tips. That one got me, because it might not be a thing but I'd like to think it's a nod to Linus Tech Tips.
This game is filled with great cute jokes. There are a couple of options that the game gives you when you wake up to see a strange robot in your room, some of the reactions are more fearful. And while reading them as an option I thought to myself WHY?
This little friend is Cute as hell. There's no way I would be scared of them. Their cute faces and little arms. I love them so much.
So the story is sound and the writing in it is so well done. The voice acting is great as well. Turing sounds innocent and has a cute childish nature to them, but they’re not dumb to say the least, they’re still the most advanced AI program in the world.
The gameplay is also stellar. Most of the interactions with things in this world are done with 4 different options.
Look: The game will give you a description of what the item, thing, person, whatever is.
Talk: If it's a person you can talk to them. Or sometimes things have voice commands.
Take/Touch, you might be able to pick something up or turn it on. Computers would take you to another window and you could do other things inside it.
Use time on: At the start of the game you're given an ID card and you pick up a pair of headphones in your apartment. The id could be used to get you places or scan for whatever might come up. Or you can connect your headphones to random things to hear stuff. What's funny is that you can use your headphones on almost anything and you can get some description of what you hear.
Real basic stuff. Like it's described. It's a Point And CLick Mystery Game. A lot of the game is being given a scene and you can talk to people in it, or interact with the things on the static screen.
Everything in this game flows so well together. Nothing takes you out of the experience. Its a story that takes you in and doesn't let go.
I think this is a game that I can fully recommend to people no matter what. If you have it. If you were curious about it. If you’ve never heard of it. Any range of feeling and knowledge of this game I highly recommend you go check it out.
If you have this game tell me your thoughts on it. Do you think Jessi was a jerk or if she is justified in her standoff-ness in her attitude?
If you haven't played this game, then are there other point and click, cyberpunk kidnaping, mystery games that came in the Racial justice bundle that you think I should check out? Let me know all about them in the comments.
In the meantime. Ah gee folks i really am thinking hard about that jade Plant. I'd love to get one. But my cable bill is coming and I know I need to take care of that first. Oh well. Maybe next month.
You all do the Youtube Dance, Like, Sub, Bell, Comment, and share this video with someone you know.
And as always hackers, Keep Digging, and we’ll make it out sometime.
See you in the next one.

Hey hey, it's gay bike anon again! I'm more than honoured to get my own tag!!! I definitely would like to keep talking to you <3 And only love for you too <3
I'll gladly wait for your response to my ask (or asks??? we'll see one day ehehehe)! I feel you, when people cite some of my text messages from a few months (or more) ago I'm often like "nope, nah-ah, that's not me, you're wrong". Same for older essays, I often can't believe I wrote those. And even with things I wrote late at night a few weeks ago, sometimes I'm like "I wrote that? That monstrosity??? Okay, I need more sleep before writing". (My capacity of writing in correct English grammar usually goes to sleep before I do, same goes for varied word choice). But sometimes I'll see this project I've worked on YEARS ago and exactly recognize the pieces I wrote? Since the ask would be fairly recent, I suppose I would recognise my writing style and word choice and since I didn't wrote it whilst sleep deprived (I hope??) I'm setting my chances of recognising it pretty high. But we'll see one day, the mystery will marinate for a while... [I am rereading this in the daytime, and this is EXACTLY what I meant, at night I make the weirdest word choices?? I’m definitely not changing it though because I might find it kinda funny]
I snorted so hard about the way you talked about your almost-name, I'm giggling here like crazy. Apparently my name means something alike 'dedicated to God', but my parents aren't really believers, so gotta love that. The meaning of my sibling's name is 'summer', but I'm the one born in the summer, whilst my sibling is born in autumn, oops. Guess my parents never checked one of those sites/ books where you can find the meaning of a name hahaha.
I love how my ask was so weird and chaotic that you sent a screenshot to a friend. I LOVE that she had no idea what was going on. Then again, I watched the semis (obviously hahaha) but I had no idea what was going on either... But honestly it was peak Dutch culture, water and bicycles, I would just add an ode to 'hagelslag' and voila, the entirety of Dutch culture summed up... [Also: if you don't know: 'hagelslag' is just sprinkles which we eat on bread, yes, on bread, we do not not only eat sprinkles as on cake or on donuts, like in any other country, no, we put it on bread. It's actually a really popular sandwich topping here. My ultimate favourites are the chocolate ones, but you also have them in several fruity flavours (like forest fruit) and anise flavour.] Thank you, perfect chaotic energy is an ultimate goal I strive towards *bows like I'm Victorian royalty or something*
You're absolutely right, it went EXACTLY like that. Specifically, I would be studying for my exams, explaining topics to myself like I always do, so I'd tell myself "The six possible origins of economies of scope are indivisibility, specialisation, marketing, research and development, GUESS WHAT.. SUBWAY DRIVER GANDÍA... ehhh... what was I doing again??" OR: "one of the most detailed and most used models of responsive regulation is Brathwaite's piramid. His enforcement piramid visually shows, nope not important, SUBWAY DRIVER GANDÍAAAAAA" And I'd laugh, continue explaining theories and calculations to myself until my focus started lessening again and my thoughts would wander off again. I am VERY glad I'm not the only one who thinks about it from time to time, and I'm glad you're not suing me for any mental harm yet.
Yess, those pictures I saw from Promising Young Woman look so beautiful and aesthetic!! I'll probably watch it somewhere after the 16th, because I'll most likely have finished my last exams by then. I'll tell you what I thought about it! Thank you SO SO SO much for all the luck wishes!!!! I had an exam last Friday and I absolutely rewarded myself, because it went better than I expected and I passed an earlier exam and a paper too! I didn't buy myself a tricorne (yet), but I did buy funko pops (my inner economist said it was 100% rational because it was a really good deal hahaha). I still have two exams to go, so I could always buy a tricorne for finishing either of those, OR. EVEN BETTER. I'll ask my parents (or my grandparents) for one for my birthday. I mean, that would be hilarious. They'd be so confused. They've never seen S3 and S4 of LCDP so they'll have no idea, even if I tried to explain it. It would be so incredibly funny (and really really weird for them), I am laughing like crazy just at the thought of it.
I've never been in Finland before, but those temperatures do not sound legal indeed. I have no knowledge of Finnish law, but maybe article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights, the prohibition of torture, would work? If I was the judge I’d 100% agree, so we should all sue the weather sksksks. I'm glad to have brought you rain though (and that I apparently possess the power to do so - magic weather controlling pirate seems like a nice enough job to me)!!! I hope the temperature has become at least somewhat lower. You're right, climate change should just... stop... right away. The weather is pretty weird here, right now: one day it will be super sunny and (at least) around 27 degrees and almost melting away, and the other day it will be raining and I'll be wearing my warmest sweater. Like, why the extremes??
I love that I am able to make you lose your coherent thoughts (that's probably why we have one brain energy about Underwater, because I, too, have the ability to make myself lose my coherent thoughts). I'm glad for your faith in my impersonation of Martín. I even started Duolingo Spanish again, and now know the phrase, "Yo bebo leche" (I drink milk) which obviously would be very important to him. Now I'll just need an Argentinian accent to go with it. Leaning menacingly on a cane would be GREAT, I love the idea. I'll open job applications for a Denver. Maybe my cat could help me, she, much like Denver, is super loud and she is super aggressive towards other cats, so there is potential there. And guiding dogs and even tiny guiding horses exist, why not a guiding cat?
I always assumed I would follow a more... you know… legal... career path, maybe even literally a career in law. But, my accounting professor also showed us how to manipulate financial statements ("so you can notice when people are doing this", uh-huh sure, sure that’s why) and another professor of mine also said that a criminal career sometimes could be the more rational, rewarding choice over a legally acceptable career. So, I suppose I should not be surprised by this sudden change of career plans. I should have seen this coming. And what better way to be able to avoid the laws than by knowing exactly what they are and how far you can go. And if that plan doesn’t work out, the books of law I have (they’re combined in two huge hardcover bundles) are really heavy and you could probably harm someone with them if you hit hard enough… Well, I suppose you can even leave “hard” away, just by hitting someone softly with those books you can bring serious harm to them… Ah, and like that one professor would say: in this scenario it would be a rational choice to become a pirate instead of a privateer. Oh dear, not Arturito :/ Mutiny would seem like a good option, I’ll take over the ship and become Palermo the Pirate. Sounds much and much better than “Arturo the Pirate”, since that isn’t an alliteration, sooo mutiny is reasonable even for that reason. And then there’s the fact that it’s Arturo, I mean, that says enough.
YOU LOVE UNDERWATER TOO????!!!! I completely forgot that you posted that! It seems we do indeed already have one shared braincell energy my friend <3
Last week has been pretty good (except for having to make a test at 9:30, what a godless time, I’m usually barely awake by then ehehehe), I think I aced the test I had, got back some good grades and finally got my first Covid vaccination (and only shortly slight dizziness as a side effect, so that's pretty great). And thanks so much!!! For now I’m safe from Gandía, but somewhere in mid-July I’ll have to take an exam on campus, so I’ll might be able to bring out my inner Palermo then.
How was your week? If the weather is still unkind to you (well, also if the weather *is* kind to you), treat yourself to your favourite ice cream and a break every now and then <3 Do you already have holidays or hasn’t your academical year ended yet?
You’re also right - this is conversation and we’re friends now <3 And I absolutely do like cookies! I would say my favourites are american cookies (though stroopwafels are reaally good as well) but honestly there are only a few kinds of cookies that I don’t love that much. And anything with chocolate in it is GREAT. I do also love apples and bananas, though grapes (which I just had) are even better! What’s your favourite kind of cookie?
Also, I know I have been giving you so many prompts already, but I saw this one in that list you reblogged and it gave me so much Berlermo energy: you live in an apartment with your best friend. the two of you always fall asleep in each other's arms, but one day, your friend isn't there. they've fallen in love with someone else. it's your other best friend, who recently moved in with you. and that's when you realize, that those nights you spent together, weren't so platonic after all. I would love it if you’d write it, but if you decide not to that’s absolutely fine too, no worries <3
By the way, I was going to post this quite a bit earlier, but my laptop (unlike me) decided yesterday night, when I was finishing writing this, that it was time to sleep, so I had to quickly dump this whole rant in Google Docs (it’s almost two and a half pages what the heck) and I was busy all day so I only was able to upload it just now. I swear I can ractually espond faster than after a week :) Have a lovely evening, much love from the gay bike country <3
Heeeeeeey you are back!!! How happy am I to see my favouritest gay bike anon return to my inbox!!! 💕 [Author's note: You can tell I started this reply right away because you've sent me three or four asks since this one and one can tell you are indeed back hahaha]
Yeeeeeees this is how one makes friends!! You know, I was just thinking the other night of how "gay bike anon" shortens to GBA, like the Game Boy Advance, you know. Make of that what you will, but it pleases me to know that you can also have a cute nickname for your cute nickname. Nicknameception.
Yes, exactly that, "I did not write that, and if I did in fact write that.. No I did not." Also, "the mystery will marinate"??? That's an amazing word choice and some day I will absolutely use it for something, just you wait. I think it just goes to show that you should write everything while tired, haha.
Haha I love that naming convention for you. It may make very little sense, but....... but. Also, happy birthday for whenever it is, presumably in the nearby past or future!! Lots of love!! You're the summer child while your sibling is... a summer child, but like, different.
Since you appreciated my almost-name story, I'll reward you with the rest of it: so my name is Tuuli, which is Finnish for "wind". My mum originally wanted to name me Pilvi, which means "cloud". And then she was like oh no this child is not at all serene and cloud-like??? and thus, a new me. I'm glad she had second thoughts, although I wonder if having such an ill-fittingly chill name would've done anything to alter my personality? Nomen est omen and all. There's some kind of an alternate universe where all of that played out, but I'm glad it's not this one.
Yeah either you watched the semis and have no idea, or you didn't watch them and have no idea. There is no way to get what was going on there, I'm certain they themselves also didn't get it. I had no idea about hagelslag but thjipgnhefjpihjo that's amazing, I love that for you!!!! There was absolutely no reason to go there but you as a country just... did that. Amazing. Please have some and report to me so I can live through you. And also, you are absolutely legit Victorian royalty [or something] *bows in return*. Also, I do love how you say "I watched the semis (obviously)." Imagine if you didn't and this entire time I was tragically misinterpreting the nature and intentions of your ask and you were just rolling with it because you've no idea what I'm on about but are also too polite to tell me that. Khhhhhhh
Your brain has priorities!!!! And they're honestly beautiful. Well done, brain. Subway driver Gandíaaaaaaaaaa~~~ My brain is filled with Berlermo quotes that come @ me at random times during the day and leave me just a tad shell-shocked, remembering how it all went down. I'm eating my morning yoghurt and my brain goes yo te propuse fundir oro juntos, and I'm just there like :)))))) Real nice, brain.
Have you had the opportunity to see Promising Young Woman yet? Hhhhh it's so pretty, every time I work on this reply [it's a lot of times, okay, I'm very diligent about this, I stare at this ask and craft snazzy replies in my head all the time, that's why I'm so slow in... actually replying] I'm reminded of that. I'm not a very visual person but the colours and the framing... that was really nice.
I am somewhat glad you've not been to Finland yet, you must hit me up when you come visit, I'll take you for coffee!!! It's actually cooler now (bless!!!!!!!!!!!), the last... four days have been reasonable 14-20 degrees, after four consequtive weeks of 25+. Kkhhhh thinking back to it makes me feel a little ill, but now beret weather is back. I own a lot of berets, dear gay bike anon. I'm going to my university city for the weekend and I'm already wondering which beret(s) I should bring with me. This is an important decision with potential long-lasting consequences. I don't know if you've played any of Telltale's games (The Wolf Among Us and the first two seasons of The Walking Dead are the best ones, fight me), but when you make a decision and the game goes "This character will remember that." and you instantly go oh no what have I done??? That's how I feel about choosing the perfect beret for my city outing. But yes, weather extremes are just the worst. We've been having the longest drought I've ever seen here (it's still not properly rained, for the record, on Tuesday it rained for an hour or so) while in other places there's awful flooding. That's awful.
Ahhh I'm so happy you're continuing your Spanish-learning!! I took a beginner's course at uni in the spring semester, I'm going to take the next one when uni resumes in September. And yes, I'm studying it for LCDP. I mean I love languages in general, but I never had a particular need to study Spanish, until this year I suddenly did. I'm also Duolingo-ing it! Very slowly and steadily. Also, I adore the idea of your cat being your Denver. What's your cat's name??? What do they look like?? Tell me everything, you can't just leave it at my cat, you simply must allow me to meet them. Also, you know why guide cats aren't a thing? Because cats are the worst. I love cats, but you can't just teach them to do useful things. They'll do them if they want to. As I type this, my cat is trying to catch flies at my feet. Her name is Muusa.
I studied accounting for my undergrad!! So I can join you in [[[preventing]]] tax fraud and [[[recognising]]] tampering with financial statements. We can make a totally legitimate business out of it. No but truly, I'm certain we were taught some of those things with the expectation that our future employers would expect it of us. Capitalism is so fun :)))))) And you shouldn't be surprised, academia is but a stepping stone to crime, honestly. Any dark academia book will tell you this. You start out learning Latin and wearing turtlenecks, you end up with murder. That's just how academia works. And you seem to have already chosen your weapon... you're well on your way. :) Palermo the Pirate sounds great!!! I support your mutiny. I don't think I said, but this is my favourite word of the English language. Mutiny. Mutiny????? It doesn't sound very serious. It sounds cute, actually. I love it.
I'm so happy to hear you got your covid vaccine!!!! I had mine a month ago or so - I typed you a reply to the subway Gandía thing on the train ride back, actually. I was really stressed about getting it on my right arm, because I'm left-handed, and last time I got a vaccination (like a decade ago) they insisted on giving it on my left arm and I was sad :( But this time!! I got it on my chosen arm and was very pleased. So anyway, that was a segue. I'm glad you got your covid shot and were side effect -free!!!
My week has been good, thank you!! I went to my uni city for my niece's birthday on Monday, and as said I'm going back on Friday (tomorrow). So this time in between has felt like exactly that, time in between. I started reading Call Me By Your Name. I had my Korean class last night. Now I'm hanging out with my cat (she has stopped chasing flies and climbed to my lap) and talking to you. My holidays started already in May! And uni resumes in the beginning of September, but I'm a tutor for new students so I need to show up three weeks earlier for the orientation weeks. Yes, we do three weeks of orientation (read: three weeks of drinking). It's a bit insane.
Now I need to ask you again how your week has been, since I'm so slow. How has your week been?? Are you free from your exams?? When does your uni resume?
Stroopwafels are so good ahhh I'll have to buy them when and or if I see them. Possibly when I'm in central Europe but haha I can hope to be lucky and see them at a store with imported stuff, you know. My favourite cookies??? Omg maybe these ones - they have this truffle filling, and they're fun to eat (this is important in cookies, you see):
And of course they're Fazer. Because Finnish people have only one setting, apparently. Or maybe that's just me. But all cookies are great, honestly. I like making American cookies, that's always a fun pastime (and you get to have cookie dough, that's like half the fun). I've actually not made them for a lifetime??? Maybe I should, soon. I'll keep you updated. Also, brookies. I love making brookies, they're great.
I really really appreciate being given prompts, I hope you know that!! Thank you!! Consider me pocketing this prompt and maybe eventually some day theoretically getting back to you about it!! You're right - it has Berlermo energy. Insofar as either of them actually have other friends. :)
Thank you for this kind message, dear gay bike anon <3 I'd apologise for my slowness in replying but I think I'd rather you just assume that I'll get back to you, and thank you for your patience <3 Your kind and funny and chaotic asks always brighten my day. I hope you'll have a great rest of the week and just... all the nice and fun and good things and great vibes in life. All the best, dear gay bike anon <3 Take care!! And greetings from Muusa as well - she just yawned and I presume that means "greetings".
#only love for gay bike anon#the timeline became accidentally somewhat restored with this one#I may have intended to reply to medieval snails first - I was writing these two simultaneously even though that makes very little sense#- but I finished this one first#strange!!!!!! but yes all the best to you my friend I hope you'll have a great day and a best rest of this week!!#asks#I'm scrolling to check that the formatting didn't break and the random box of cookies amuses me

Haque: A review
youtube
It was funny one summer of anime I was reading this really cute manga about this girl who maxed out her level by killing nothing but slimes, the same time as everyone was getting into that other anime call “that time i was reincarnated as a slime” super weird that these things happened fairly close to each other.
Oh well let's talk about fighting some slimes.
Welcome back to another video here on Mummified games. My name is Tony and today we're going to be taking a look at the RPG Roguelike Haque by Super Try.
This is another one of these roguelikes where you are asked to pick one of three characters to go run though these dungeons. And try to get as far as you can.
The game has a heavy retro feel to it. And I mean heavy retro as in they let you turn on CRT scan lines and a faux dirty screen to make it feel super rough and hard to see...
Ah yes the anarcho-retro style. So in love with old graphics that were going to actively make the experience as basic as possible on your nice clean 1080p monitors and TVs. The chaotic Evil of game graphics.
Luckily if you don't want to play with dust and crap all over your screen, then grab some monitor cleaner
And if you don't want the fake dirt in the game then you can turn it all off along with the CRT scanlines. Doing this will make it all crisp clean sharp pixels.
Anyway moving on from that small personal setting.
The game starts when you first load it up asking you to impot the date. But no matter what you type it does the right date. And that was cool when it happened. You can just press the same key over and over again to progress though this intro but it might also be fun to just pretend you're inputting these commands.
I don't have any video of this because I started playing the game and forgot to hit the record button on OBS. So yeah. Sorry.
So once you’re in I highly recommend you play the tutorial and figure out what everything means. The symbols and art that exist in this game are fine. And once you know what they stand for it makes sense, but just jumping right into the game can be a little deep.
The controls are fairly simple, similar to the controls of a game that I reviewed earlier called Midboxx where you can click around your character, selecting the squares around them and moving to the next squares. And also attacking this way.
Hitting “I” will bring up your inventory and you can also see what you have equipped. Similar to all the other RPGs that are out there.
All the actions you can do are bound to 1 through 4 and also Q W E R at the top left of the keyboard. Compared to ability buttons in some MOBA or MMO games.
QWER being reserved for special skills that your equipped items give you. And then there are 1 through 4 that are quick locations for consumable items. Examples being positions and other limited uses items.
There is a companion that comes with you that fights the monsters you might see in the dungeons.
But that's sort of the basics. There are tons of skills and items that you could use in the game that you could just hold right click over and they explain the spell.
Once you get out of the tutorial the actual game starts with you picking one of 3 different random skilled and stats characters at the start. They’re nowhere near your typical archetypal characters, sometimes you can get a sorcerer that is a great fighter. Sometimes you can get a Necromancer Mushroom that spews spores everywhere. And then there sometimes is a werewolf that you can play as, also.
It's hard to tell you about this game because there isn't a lot that sets it apart from other Roguelikes there are.
The music is fairly basic, and now that I stopped playing the game I could not tell you what any of it sounded like. I know there was a sort of chime sounding song that would play in the shops and that was different from the other songs.
Oh there is a fun idea they put into the shop mechanic.
There's no money or currency in this game. So the shopping experience is a barter deal. Where you select the item you want to buy and then select the items you would want to trade for it. And the game gives you a percentage of if that deal would go through or not. That's actually interesting.
Especially since the chance of the trade going through is the same window in the game where they show you the likelihood of the attack you're about to do will land or not. So that's fun.
There's a sight range thing... *sigh*
There is just nothing to really talk about in this one. It's all just more dungeon crawling fighting more enemies.
There is a story going on with the program being corrupted. And there is an old man that I was halfway through level 3 or 4 when I was thinking okay when is he going to turn on me? And turns out to be a bad guy.
Idk why i thought that might happen but after beating the level one skeleton boss he said something to me that i thought was super ominous. All while the screen was glitching out a bit. Very weird.
Having played this for about an hour and a half I didn't get really far into the story part of this Roguelike. Again a fault of the genre. Your story can't be super long or hard to reach if the player is going to die over and over again.
While playing this game I found myself taking into account the same fighting style that I adopted in Crypt of the Necrodancer. Where if the monster i'm fighting is about to attack i just move back one and they have to spend their turn to move forward.
The problem with this strategy is that the game does not clearly show you how long it is until the other character will take their turn. So you might move back one and then it turns out you have more time until they do their thing.
I feel like this one is going to be the same thing I say about most of the games that came in the Racial Justice Bundle. If you bought that bundle then sure go play this game since you have it. Go find it in your collection and give it a whirl.
But as for a recommendation to go out and pick it up. I'd say unless you really need that crunchy pixel roguelike RPG in your life then sure. If not then I'd give this a pass.
If you played this game, what were your thoughts on it?
If you haven't played this game, are there any other aggressively retro games out there that you would want me to try. Let me know in the comments.
IN THE MEANTIME!
I just remembered I never did a Tournament update at the end of July. I think that since i didn't do a full month i'm going to wait till the end of August. That way I have a bunch to filter though. Not as much as the first one obviously but still a good chunk to push forward with.
I'm sure ill get to another tool or book review soon if anyone was looking for more of those. I'm giving myself a little bit of time every day to read though some of the actual books in this bundle. The next Book club might not be a bundle but a full book by its self. Obviously i'll keep you informed.
But for now you all do the youtube dance Like, Sub, Bell, Comment, share with someone you know.
And as always friends, keep digging and we’ll make it out sometime
See you in the next one.
