congrats on your milestone! i recently booked a trip to portugal that i'm really excited about. could i maybe get ☆ + some fluffy luna x ginny?

oh my gosh that sounds incredible!! i was supposed to go there last summer but then stuff happened, BUT anyway, i was told by the friends i was supposed to go with that it was AMAZING and really beautiful! hope you have a wonderful trip♡

Pairing: Luna/Ginny

Setting: Domestic relationship, a few years after the war

Warnings: None, except for, well, fluff

It was a normal day. An almost irritatingly normal day, as ofmatter in fact. There were more of those days than of any other type,and Ginny was fairly content with it. Large, heavy snowflakes werefalling rapidly on the other side of the window, the house smelled ofapple- and cinnamon tea, and Ginny was curled up in an armchair witha thick blanket that her mum had knitted covering her legs. Thefireplace was roaring and the radio was playing muggle Christmassongs; Ginny quite liked them, they reminded her of her dad. Everymuscle in her body was sore from practice yesterday, but if anything,it just made her appreciate the comfort of a warm home on a coldwinter day all the more.

As she sat there, she heard the front door open and a few momentslater, Luna appeared in the doorway. The purple tassel hat on herhead was covered in snow, and as were her wool-clad shoulders, whileher hair was soaking wet. Her expression was nonetheless one ofcomplete and utter serenity. She wandered over to Ginny, shoes andall still on, and smiled airily as she dragged her fingers throughGinny’s hair, pushing a couple of stray strands behind her ear.

Ginny closed her eyes for a couple of moments, enjoying the touch.“How was your day?” she asked.

“It was quite alright,” Luna said, eyes turning thoughtful.“There was an issue with the article we're doing on Mr.Shacklebolt, but other than that it was a reasonably enjoyable day.”

“What kind of issue?” Ginny asked against her betterjudgement.

“Oh, nothing too spectacular. The Ministry doesn't wish for thearticle to come out, but...”

“But what else is new,” Ginny finished for her.

“Hm,” Luna hummed. She appeared to be lost in thought for afew moments before she brightened all of a sudden, “Oh, I cameacross a stray kitten on my way home. It was quite cold and hungry.”

Ginny blanched. “Oh, that's sad. What did you do with it?”

“I brought it home and put it in the basket out in the hall andwrapped it in a blanket,” Luna said, as if she was talking aboutsomething as unremarkable as laundry. Without waiting for a response,Luna half-ran out to the hallway, and a short while later, shereturned with a bundle of blanket in her arms, and rid of her hat,coat and shoes.

Ginny straightened up and leaned forward. And quite right; there,mostly hidden in rumples of the thick, dusty pink wool blanket, was atiny, orange kitten, certainly no more than a couple of months old.Its eyes were closed and its breathing was deep and steady. It wasfast asleep. Ginny felt an urge to surge forward, grab the weecreature, and hold it in her arms for days and days.

“It's a boy. He's rather cute, wouldn't you say?” Luna said asshe stroked the kitten's head with one finger.

“Bit of an understatement,” Ginny said, snorting. She smiledat Luna. “Were you thinking of keeping him?”

“Perhaps. It would be nice to have company when you're atpractice, or out of town or out of the country for a game.”

Carefully as to not wake the kitten, Luna turned around and satdown in Ginny's lap. Ginny folded her arm around Luna's waist,pressed a kiss to her cheek, then rested her head on Luna's shoulder.They sat there like that for a while, the only sound breaking thesilence being the crackles from the fireplace across the room, andthe quiet song playing on the radio. Ginny was fairly certain the oneplaying now was called 'O Holy Night'. They playedthat one quite often and she truly enjoyed it.

“Sounds like a good idea,” she said eventually. “I know youget lonely sometimes, it'd be nice to know you aren't alone when I'moff doing this and that.”

Luna smiled. “Hm. It does get quite lonely from time to time,”she agreed. “I'd rather like to keep him, if you think it'salright.”

“I'm fine with it,” Ginny said.

And so they sat there, the two of them and the kitten, cuddled up,a few days before Christmas, while the snow fell outside, and Ginnythought to herself that all in all, she could do with moreirritatingly normal days in her life.

25. do you read reviews on a book before you read it?

Nah, never. Everyone has their own opinion on books and Idon’t think anyone else’s opinion might tell me if I will or will not like abook. And I like being surprised and not even knowing what a book is aboutbefore diving in.
