​Jean’s hands slowed as he turned her words inside out. He thought about Lucas and Grayson, Jeremy and Bryson, and Kevin and Riko.

He thought of Derrick and Derek’s shameless affection and of Tanner following him around like a little duckling of his own. He thought of Kevin calling him brother on Hannah’s show, and the sour sting it’d evoked then was a dull and lingering ache now. He thought of Noah and Elodie, and he had to close his eyes against his grief. 

“A brother is a complicated thing,” he said. ​Laila turned her head to say, “You were a brother.” ​It wasn’t a question, but Jean said, “Yes.”

— Los Angeles was a monster, too big and too loud and too hectic. THE TROJANS were strange and misguided. There was a cardboard dog in his bedroom that Jeremy treated like a de facto member of the household. in the quiet he could hear jeremy breathing, and it was almost as comforting as the heat of another body this close to his. it thawed the parts of him the sun hadn't reached despite soaking up its glare all day.

So all this news about a new AFTG book has me rereading the series with my book besties Claire.loves.books and beulaugh aka @if-music-be-the-food-of-love and I am high on these boys. So I can't stop picturing them and its perfect for me to play around with some new digital techniques. How’d I do @vmcgmidlifecrisis? I think you need a reread! Hope you all like this one!
