"So great was the sultan’s grief that he aged greatly. 'They say that the day before she died,' wrote de la Vigne, 'he promised her and swore by the soul of his father Selim that he would never approach another woman.'”—Leslie Peirce. Empress of the East: How a European Slave Girl Became Queen of the Ottoman Empire

“one of my favorite monarch and consort pairings is definitely sultan suleiman i and haseki hurrem sultan. the fact that he broke so many rules and traditions (eg. having more than one son with her, raising her status from concubine to a sultan, letting her, a woman, participate in some state affairs) for her is so🥹 i was genuinely sad for him when i learned that he loved her so much, he didn’t take another woman after her death (when he really could, he was the sultan after all) and lived the rest of his life heartbroken. ALSO!! the letters they wrote to each other (especially the poems!!) are so sweet and dreamy. it sounds crazy, but it’s like i felt their love for each other when reading those, like it transcended death and time.” - Submitted by Anonymous

Hello, I am the one who sent the suleiman x reader x hurrem scenario where reader is in the place of gulnihal and I would like to confirm that yes, suleyman does turn yandere for reader and calls for her again. This is when yandere hurrem realises that her beloved sister whom she is vey yandere for has been spending nights with suleyman. What do you think yandere hurrem's reaction to this would be?
Hürrem and you are twin sisters. However, you do not resemble each other in terms of personality or appearance. After you are kidnapped, you have no one left but each other. You are Hürrem's confidant and assistant in the palace. Hürrem spoils you financially as much as she can. Protective and possessive towards you. However, your life is turned upside down because of İbrahim Pasha. After spending the night with Sultan Suleiman, you are sent to a separate room. Sultan Suleiman is sending you lots of gifts. You go to your sister Hürrem and tell her everything. You meet your nephew. You apologize. Hürrem sees everyone else as guilty except you. You are Sultan Suleiman's new favorite concubine. You get pregnant in a short time and have twin babies. Prince Selim and Mihrimah Sultan. Hürrem always remains your sister who protects you. You watch each other's backs. Hürrem never forgives the evil done against you.
Hürrem is the possessive, protective and jealous sister. She doesn't want to share you with others.

Tonight I give the Bulgarian dub the biggest W for turning "Fathers don't cheat" (the line that Süleiman said to little Mustafa after telling him to accept his defeat in their play-swordfighting in E02) into "Fathers don't lie" instead, because this one tiiiny word change becomes such powerful retroactive foreshadowing as everything is now tied not just to the present and future of Mustafa and Süleiman's dynamic (Mustafa is once again "the traitor" SS's supposed to "defeat" and "the final blow is eventually struck" after Mustafa "beats" all of SS's men; that wholesome and sweet play-pretend between father and child becomes a terrifying omen for later) and how they may intersect (due to the blurred line between the father and the padişah - how the side of the father prevails at the start but is slowly overtaken by the side of the padişah, although neither side is ever completely put behind; that can't happen), but also to the promise SS made to Cihangir that he wouldn't execute Mustafa (trying to reassure him as a father... at a point he himself knows deep down that it would only be an empty reassurance). He executed Mustafa anyway (doing what needs to be done according to him as a padişah, with that bringing him the grief of a father which he doesn't know how to combat). Mustafa's father lied. Cihangir's father lied. And it hurt. Mustafa and Cihangir had different reactions to the promise (one was filled with clear hope, the other - with immediate suspicion; one prepared for the eventual possibility of a broken promise because he's had enough rifts with his father already to know that such a final word could be alarming regardless, the other straight-up witnessed the aftermath of the broken promise, a new face of the father he's always idealized - he doesn't see his grief, only the ruthless padişah emerges in front of him, how else could it be?), but it still hurt.
