I never really got behind Kataang because as much as Aang was the light in Katara's lamp that led her through the dark, he never came close to fire that burned in her heart.

I think the only ones who matched Katara in that way were Suki and Zuko.

i am most definitely late to this but i saw sm1 post this so yeah

can i also point out that i personally think that some of these ships are gross ie: zukaang,tokka, jetkotara,maikotara or just weird like maitara, jetara, azumai, jetko azuaang and zutara and even tho i added jetara and jetko to the list its bc that definitely happened but its also sorta toxic

when you want to write about a ship, but you have no clue how to write their dynamic (if they even have one), so you're left like this:

Follow up question, what are you're sapphic katara ships and why?

At the moment my favorite is probably Kazula, I think the dynamic would be so interesting. Azula and Katara have more in common than they know and I think if they were forced to team up for some reason they’d gain a respect for each other.

Yuetara is great for the aesthetic alone; the true Yin and Yang ship with ocean and moon parallels. I would also love to explore the idea of Yue learning to stand up to some of the cultural norms forced on her with Katara as inspiration.

Jintara just because it’s a cute idea.

Sukitara because I wish they interacted more and because I think the idea of all of Sokka’s crushes being more interested in his sister is kinda hilarious.

All around there’s so much potential!

I wish there was a Sukitara modern AU fanfic where Katara is down bad for Suki and doesn’t know what to do so she asks her ex-boyfriend Aang for help, he’d laugh but happily helps her, Operation Sukitara commences with some bumps in the road, eventually succeed, have it end with the three of them hanging out at the Jasmine Dragon until Yue arrives to pick up Aang for their date. Before anyone tells me to write it myself…I want to READ this story not write it.
