Maybe I noticed you first, and I didn’t know how to tell you. Maybe before you sketched your first portrait of me, I wrote my first song about you. Maybe before you painted your first portrait of me, I hummed my first song about you.

I can’t remember the first time I saw you. You were a blurry picture at first because I only saw you through passing glances. If you caught me staring, I feared, my world would catch fire! Maybe that seems irrational now, but my fear was not baseless. My face had been burning scarlet since you appeared in one of those dull school hallways. Maybe you didn’t notice.

I remember the first time I heard you say my name, though. It happened in one of those dull school hallways. You were walking with Heechul. He tended to walk two steps ahead of you. How did you keep up with him? 

Maybe it wasn’t easy for you to keep up. You were out of breath, wheezing, when you told Heechul, “You better not tell Yesung that I like him! If you do, I’ll never forgive you.”

Smirking, Heechul stilled. You crashed into him. His smirk blossomed into a full smile as he grabbed you around to the shoulders to steady you. “Don’t kid yourself,” he said. “You couldn’t hold a grudge against me if you tried.”

The glare you shot at Heechul wasn’t even slightly intimidating. While Heechul howled with laughter, I snorted. I hid the sound by slamming my locker closed.

I don’t think you noticed. Still glaring at Heechul, you said, “I’m serious. I would be embarrassed enough if Yesung found out how much I like him. I’d be embarrassed and furious if he learned from your big mouth.”

“Hide your sketchbook a little better, then,” Heechul taunted. He reached for your little sky-blue book, but you shrank away from him. “You’ve said, what, two words to each other? Wouldn’t be embarrassing if he saw—”

Heechul stopped talking the moment you turned away from him. Hugging your sketchbook against your chest, you sped down the hallway. 

I brushed past Heechul on my walk toward you. I tried to catch up, but I don’t think you noticed. You were too far ahead. You were too quick for me.

I couldn’t catch my breath for the rest of the day. I was still breathless when I sat in my corner of the music room that afternoon. I tore a blank piece of sheet music out of my notebook, and on it I wrote my first letter to you. 

I wrote to tell you, I like you. 

And, It would be embarrassing if you knew how much I like you. 

And, Maybe it would be more embarrassing if you never knew how much I like you.

Long Week - Kyuhyun

A/N: So this is an anon request of Kyuhyun looking after you after a long week of work. I hope you enjoy!

There had been so much happening all week at work, and finally it was Friday. But even that wasn't much of a comfort. It was one of those busy days, where instead of going by really fast, it just dragged on and stressed you out. The second the clock indicated the end of the working day you were on your way out and calling your boyfriend.

"Hey, beautiful," Kyuhyun answered.

"Hey," you sighed in response, just the sound of his voice relaxing you.

"What's wrong?" he asked immediately.

"Same old," you said, not really wanting to relive the day you had just had.

You could tell Kyuhyun was distracted as he replied, "Oh, dear."

"I'll let you go."

"No, its fine," he started but a clatter in the background told you it wasn't.

"Aish," he muttered under his breath.

"I'm on my way home, I'll see you in a second anyway. I just wanted to hear your voice."

"If you're sure. I'll see you really soon. I love you," he said, slightly rushed.

You shook your head as you hung up the phone, wondering what state the place would be in when you arrived home. Upon opening the door, however, you were pleasantly surprised. In fact, it look neater than it had when you'd left that morning.

"Welcome home," you heard your man's voice from somewhere within.

"What did you do, Kyu?" you called back.

"What do you mean?" he asked as he appeared in front of you.

"It's unnaturally clean in here," you pointed out. "Why are you cleaning? Are you apologising for something I don't know about yet?"

"No no no, I promise," he assured you, stepping forward to take your bag and then your jacket.

"Ok, I love you and this is all very sweet but-"

"Shush," he cut in. "Just calm down. You're home now, you can just relax."

Somehow, Kyuhyun's words had the intended effect this time. As you removed your shoes, you finally felt like you could start to unwind. He took your hand and lead you through to the dining table.

"Kyu," you said in a soft breath. "Why?"

The table was laid will still steaming food, a spread of everything he knew you loved. The lights were dim and a few candles scattered around.

"As much as I love being someone you can vent to, hearing how much you've hated this week got me down so, now that the working week is done, I'm going to treat you like the princess you are."

Suddenly, everything made sense. Normally, you would cook when you got in, then tidy up the kitchen, then any other chores that needed doing, then clean up ready for bed. But this evening he had done it all for you. The beauty of having a boyfriend with an irregular job, sometimes he was home while you worked and could sort everything out for you.

In that moment, stood there beside your wonderful other half, it all overwhelmed you. After everything at work, feeling like a cog in a machine rather than a human being, you got to come home to the perfect evening.

"Jagi, I didn't want to make you cry," Kyu said, wiping at one of the tears on your cheek.

You smiled at him, "Good tears, I promise. I can't believe you did all of this for me."

Smiling back, he just pulled you close and held you for a moment.

"And when we're done, I'll draw you a bath so that you can relax while I do all the washing up and then for the rest of the night, I'm all yours, we can do whatever you like. Anything that will make you happy or relaxed."

"You are actually perfect," you told him, melting into his embrace.

"If you say so," he chuckled in reply.

Birthday wishes ~ Super Junior Leeteuk

A/N.: Today's my ultimate bias birthday and I love him to death so I wrote a little fluff to celebrate it. It's my first fic to be posted here, hope you enjoy~! Happy birthday, Teukie! 🥳🤍 Genre: Fluff Pairing: Leeteuk X fem. reader

Long before he arrived home, your heart was already pounding. He didn't know you were there, but, hey, that's what happens when one gives the lock password to their partner - and you said you'd only use it for good purposes or emergencies. This was a good purpose, it was his birthday and you had been preparing this surprise party for ages now.

He called you earlier, saying it was too bad he couldn't see you on his birthday and the more people congratulated him, the more he missed you. You had to keep yourself from smiling - he had no idea, none of the boys had spilled the beans yet, thank God.

Leeteuk would be coming home to a warm and intimate birthday party that only had more people because Heechul ran into you shopping for the party. And then the news spread out to the rest of Super Junior members. Somehow you managed to keep Donghae with you that afternoon so he wouldn't accidentally tell Leeteuk about the party and, as the other members had different schedules, they started arriving little by little.

"Can you stop eating that?" you pleaded to Heechul, snacking on the kitchen counter.

"Hey, I'm older than you, you little punk."

"Let me rephrase that: oppa, can you please stop eating that? It's for the party!" Heechul stared at you for a few seconds, guiding his hand to another snack.

"Well, if you're going to ask so nicely." he smiled and left to the living room.

"Ya! You said we couldn't eat yet! Why is he eating?!" Eunhyuk came to you with puppy eyes and you sighed, handing him the tray so he could pick something up. "That's why you're my favorite sister-in-law." he laughed, going back to his seat.

"I'm your only sister-in-law. And Leeteuk will kill you if you get that cushion dirty with crumbs."

Time took so long to pass, you were already hyperventilating with anxiety. Preparing surprises made you so nervous - what if he hated it? Well, he wouldn't be thrilled to see people crowding his apartment but he enjoyed spending his birthdays with you and usually liked whatever crazy stuff you'd plan for him.

"We picked him up for coffee and we're heading home now. Is everything ready?"

You stared at InYoung's text on your phone; your heart raced but you giggled with excitement.

"Yes, unnie, everything ready. I hope he likes it. Drive safely, we'll be waiting!"

Leeteuk's sister replied with a smiling emoji and a "Fighting!" that made you less nervous - she had always been really fond of you, so knowing she was cheering you on kept you calm.

You warned the boys he was coming and went around cleaning crumbs and checking the blue and white decorations. It was looking cute, he would love that.

As soon as you heard the clicking sounds of the password being typed on the door, you turned off the lights and went hiding in the living room, shushing the very excited Sujus around you - but just like them you had to try really hard to stop giggling.

Shimkoong came in first, prancing into the living room and turning her little head to the people trying to hide in the most ridiculous places - as soon as she saw you, she barked running to a very desperate you, trying to shush her.

"Koongie-ya, what you doing?" you heard Teuk's baby voice calling for his puppy - just hearing him near made you giddy.

"She's probably just playing." his sister answered. You imagined they were still at the door, taking off coats and shoes when the lights went on. As soon as Teuk appeared on the hall, all of you welcomed him yelling "Surprise!"

Leeteuk covered his mouth in awe as his sister and mom passed by him, joining you. You were nervous, you couldn't tell if he liked it or not until he laughed. The boys were making a fuss, laughing and hugging their hyung, congratulating him, making Koongie bark on your lap.

You approached him slowly, keeping a shy smile on your face, still holding Koongie to your chest as if she was a child and the boys made way to you.

"You made this?" Teuk asked, his eyes going wide as you muttered a yes.

"Did you like it?" you asked nervously and he laughed, wrapping you in a warm hug and placing a kiss on your cheek. "I'll take that as a yes." you laughed, breaking the hug.

"You're always outdoing yourself for me, this is really sweet. Although I was really looking forward to get some time for both of us." he whispered on your ear, giggling.

"Well, there's a few more people than I intended at first, but you hadn't seen your members in a while so I though it was a nice idea... "

"It was, jagi." he said, caressing your cheek. "Thank you so much for this. I loved it just because it was your idea."

"I had help." you smiled, nodding to his sister and mom who were happily catching up with the other boys.

Leeteuk blushed softly, kissing your forehead and taking your hand in his. Koongie barked at him, begging for her dad to take her in his arms.

"Come on, let's enjoy the party."

It was a really happy night - a lot of laughing, some scolding, a lot of good food and a few bottles of soju being opened, the boys randomly singing and playing skits, throwing toys for Koongie to catch. You talked a lot to Teuk's sister about whether he was enjoying or not.

"He seems a little tired, but I'm sure he's liking it." she assured you.

"He gets really happy whenever you do these things for him." his mom added, holding your hand dearly "Don't worry, you're doing really well."

Her look on you was really tender, made you relax and feel more comfortable during the night.

Soon enough you brought the cake out, lighting the candles and singing happy birthday to Leeteuk.

"You should make a wish before blowing the candles!" Donghae warned, taking endless pictures of the moment. Leeteuk closed his eyes and thought for a few seconds before blowing the candles.

"What did you wish for?" Eunhyuk asked, only to get scolded by Shindong.

"He can't say it, you idiot! Otherwise it won't come true!"

Teuk laughed, his glance at you lingering for a little longer than it used to. It had already been a year you were together but you would still get butterflies every time he stared at you like that.

After that, it didn't take too long for people to start leaving - it was week night, they had to work the next day so they stayed as late as they could. You started making yourself busy with the cleaning when InYoung and her mom told you they were leaving.

"Already?" they nodded at you. Teuk was getting them their coats as you spoke. "Oh, ok, let me walk you to the door." you said, putting the dishes on the sink.

At the door, you greeted them one last time, with Leeteuk by your side.

"It was a great night." his mom said, putting on her shoes.

"Thank you both for coming and helping me plan this, meant a lot." you said, respectfully bowing to them.

"It was nothing." InYoung answered, giving you a quick hug. "It made my brother really happy so I was happy to help."

"Thanks for that, noona." Teuk smiled and hugged her and his mom. Before he could say anything, his mom turned to you.

"We should be thanking you for taking such good care of our boy. He looks really happy when he's with you and only praises you when he talks about you." she smiled softly, taking your hands in hers. "Thank you for that, for making my son smile more often. You're going to be a great wife someday."

"O-oh, thank you ma'am. It means a lot to me, thank you!" you stuttered, suddenly feeling your cheeks warm and your heart stumping. At your side, Leeteuk was blushing really hard.

His mom and sister laughed softly at your reaction, opening the door to leave.

"Just- just drive safely and let me know when you get home." Teuk stumbled upon his words, making them laugh again.

When he closed the door, you couldn't meet his eyes. Of course the marriage talk had already been going on for a while, it was in the plans for someday in the future, but still made you flustered. Having him as your husband? Just thinking of it made you want to laugh out of expectation and excitement.

"So..." he started "Let's get to clean the mess, shall we?"

You sighed in relief.

"It's your birthday, let me do it. I already learned your ways, I can do it." he stared at you with sparkling eyes and smiled.

"You know I won't be able to stand still seeing you do everything. Let's just do it together."

"Nope, let me do it for you." you insisted, kissing his cheek. "Just go and relax, spend time with Koongie."

He knew he couldn't defeat you, you were as stubborn as he, so he just gave in this time, sitting on the couch with Koongie, watching you wander around picking up dishes, washing them, vacuuming the rugs and small dirts on the floor. In the end, everything was spotless in a way he thought only he could do.

"How did you manage to do all that? And faster than I would?" he said when you flopped on the sofa beside him.

"Well, I know how you like things, I just found quicker ways to do it. And I know that as soon as I leave you're going to check if everything is clean and do the spots I might've forgotten."

"I don't do that!"

"Oh yeah?" you challenged, staring deep into his eyes.

"Ok, maybe..." he said, making you laugh. "It's not that I don't appreciate you doing it, it's just that I-"

"Jagi, I know." you interrupted, taking his hand. "It's okay, I don't mind."

His look fell on yours, making a soft smile grow on his lips. He leaned in, cuping your cheek in his hand.

"What have I ever done to deserve you?"

"What do you mean, I did nothing much." you smiled.

"It seems like that to you, but it means a lot to me." he said, taking a strand of hair from your face and kissing you softly.

You stared at his deep dark eyes and kissed the tip of his nose. He was older than you, but sometimes he looked like a teenager in love, making you blush as if you were one too.

"I should get going." you whispered. "It's getting late."

"Can't you stay a little longer?" he said kissing you again - deeper and longer.

"You know I can't..." you whispered against his lips, searching for air. "It's our deal, remember? We don't stay over."

"Sometimes I hate that, you know?" you giggled.

"I know, but it's for a good reason, it's important to me." he forced a irritated sigh, but when you looked at him he was smiling. "And I love you for respecting and caring about that."

"I know." his hands found yours, taking it to his chest. "But I want you here. I've been thinking about this for a while now, I love you and I want you here when I come home from work and beside me when I wake up. Or in my couch reading a book, or washing the dishes, or playing with Koongie, I just want you by my side. Permanently."

"That's really sweet, Teukie-ah..." your heart was stumping on your chest. "But we've already talked about moving in-"

"I'm not talking about moving in, jagi." he stared firmly at you - your hand was still on his chest and you could feel his heartbeat increasing along with yours. "I want you to be my wife. To be with me for better or for worse, in sickness and in health till death do us apart because I love you and there's no one else I would want to be for the rest of my life. When I saw you today planning the party it seemed so right that you would be in charge of that. When I got in and saw you with Koongie on your lap, it seemed like everything was falling into place. I belong with you. You're my home and I want to come back to you as long as I'm alive."

Your eyes were filled with tears he quickly wiped off, smiling beautifully at you. You too wanted to stare at his eyes and wake up beside him and come back home to him forever.

"You're my home too..." you whispered and he kissed your hand.

"Would you give me this birthday present? Will you marry me?"

"Of course I would, of course I will!" you jumped into his embrace, kissing his shoulder and neck, laughing out loud getting tightly squeezed to his chest by his arms. "I love you, I love you so much."

"I love you too, jagi." he broke the hug only to kiss you again, so in love you felt like it was your first kiss all over again - he finished the kiss with several pecks on your face, giggling. "This was my birthday wish. I can say now, it's come true."

"You wished I'd say yes?"

"I wished you'd be with me forever."

"Well, I can say I wished that too."

"It's not even your birthday!"

"It's my boyfr- my fiance's birthday, I can make a wish he would be happy and healthy and with me forever, can't I?" he stared at you lovingly.

"You said fiance." he blushed and you did too.

"I did."

"I love you."

"I love you too, my angel. Happy birthday."

Donghae had been planning something special for your first Mother's Day for weeks. He had his friends and family to help him with ideas for his surprise. As the day approached, Donghae's excitement grew, wanting to see your reaction.

On Mother's Day morning, Donghae woke up early, keeping quiet around the house to avoid waking you up. He prepared your favorite dishes and a bouquet of fresh flowers.

When you finally came out from the bedroom. Holding your 6 month old son, you was suprised to see what Donghae had done.

Tears welled up in your eyes as Donghae walked over and hugged you. "Happy first Mother's day to you my love. I wanted to make it special for you."

He kissed your forehead as you couldn't help but cry. Thankful that he had done all this just for you.

"Baby thank you so much. I'm so hungry now.." You took a seat and Donghae took your son from your hands. "I'll watch him just enjoy your food."

You will never forget this day in your heart. You couldn't help but smile knowing Donghae did all this for you. You chose the right partner for life.

Donghae leaves for a minute then comes back with a small photo book. "When did you make this?" You asked as you flipped through the pages. You couldn't eat as you got emotional again. It was filled with pictures from the day you found out you were pregnant.

To the day you found out your baby was a boy.

And the rest being your son's early months in this world. "Donghae you didn't need to do all this now I'm gonna just cry all day.." Donghae walks over to you and kiss your lips.

So like you’ve known SuJu since pre-debut and tbh at that age the age gap was just too big for you to get along with them really well

You got to work with them occasionally, but it took a good few years for you to really get close

Because of how well your voices work together, you got paired with Leeteuk for a collab on SM Station and that was so well received, you did a couple more of those over the years 

Really your voices melted together like nutella on hot bread (Author loves this ok it fuckin slaps) 

You did like a super nice love song together, but when you guys were singing together it did not sound anymore like you were singing about a girl, but about each other 

Both of you were not even realising how romantic your eye contact was during the live performances

The songs were so well received, you even had a temporary project with Leeteuk, when Onew was out on military service. That’s when even you two could not deny the chemistry between you two. 

You guys already acted like a couple before you made it official with each other. 

Literally you’re at his place having wine after another day of dance practice, vocal training and photoshoots and you then realise how low the lights are and how your knees are touching on his sofa and how romantic the background music is…

You look up from your glass and see the candlelight flickering in his eyes and all that comes out of your mouth is “wait, this is really romantic” 

And Leeteuk is a little embarrassed, because consciously he did not mean to put you on the spot like this, but he was old enough to realise he put way more effort into ‘just hanging out after work’ than was normal. For his fellow members you would not catch him meticulously picking a good bottle of wine or replacing the candles in the living room or dimming the lights to make the ambiance cosy. There certainly would not be playing some soft jazz in the background. 

And he has no excuse, because the realisation hits him like a train and he just asks you: “do you mind?” 

You don’t even need to ask him if he does, because you understand that look on his face like no one else. You shake your head and just scoot closer to put your head on his shoulder. 

Being idols, and men on top of that, you kept it a secret, but everyone was waiting for it. You knew about the fanfics, but you always thought they were made as a joke and you and Leeteuk were very discreet. 

SuJu defo knew about you two, but they never mentioned it aside from some good-natured teasing about how Leeteuk spent so much time with you, it seemed like you were a married couple

SHINee also knew and they teased you endlessly about all the little things Leeteuk did, in the hopes you would admit Leeteuk did those things because you were together. They just did not want to ask you directly and allow you to come out when you were ready. 

Tbh you did not even realise they knew. Both you and Leeteuk absolutely oblivious to how obvious you guys are. 

It is in the Leeteuk walking across venues tailed by security guards just to say hello to you. It is in the way you have the habit of saying “oh Leeteuk hyung would love this” about food, drinks, furniture, songs, clothes etc. 

When you guys are together you both have heart eyes while giving ‘professional’ compliments

Both your groups find it painful to watch, especially the more uhhh homophobic ones in SuJu (not gonna say who bc y’all will hate me, but if you know you know) 

Then SHINee worked on recording Identity and they are making a lot of comments about it that kind of water down to ��hey if SOMEONE in SHINee would have an INTERESTING identity, we would NOT mind that” 

You’re one dense mf so Key takes you aside and has a heart-to-heart with you and a lot of alcohol

Do you remember telling him even the spicy details of your relationship? No. Did it happen? Key won’t shut up about it to you. He is not that much of a dick tho to tell the others. 

You feel really shit about your slip up and the fact that you were now hungover on date night

Leeteuk went all out with finding a remote spot up Mt. Namsan and buying all that was needed for a simple, but romantic dinner with a view of Seoul. The night lights were gorgeous, the city alive. You had gimbap and fried chicken for dinner with some small electric lanterns surrounding the picnic mat under you. Your favourite playlist played over the bluetooth speaker.

Leeteuk showed you a video that Key took while you were drunk off your ass. It was embarrassing to hear yourself proclaim how much you hated not being able to kiss him in public. 

In your words “everytime I see my Teukkie, I wanna squish his cheeks and give him wittle smoochies, but noooooo gotta keep my idol image like I care about that. Aren’t we getting old? When do I stop caring and start marrying?” 

You could die of embarrassment, but then Leeteuk took the ring out.

Next day you’re public, what the company might say be damned

God the backlash was huge, the following weeks full of angry managers, PR people and screaming ‘fans’ outside the SM building.

A/N: Part 2 of Double Check for the lovely @fulleaglecloduniversity I am so sorry it’s taken so long.. Merry Christmas I guess!

The last 9 months seemed to have somehow whizzed by and lasted forever at the same time. It seemed like only yesterday you got the news that you were pregnant, but you felt like you'd been pregnant for an age. All you wanted at this point was to meet your baby girl.

It was one of those situations that no matter how prepared you thought you were, the reality was very different. You'd read all the books, asked the nurses and doctors all you hadn't picked up from them, the nursery had been ready since before you were showing, your hospital bag was prepared months ago. So why did you still feel awash with panic the moment you realised your waters had broken?

"Uh, Siwon," you called, nervously.

He appeared almost instantly. "What happened?"

"My water broke."

Immediately, your husband sprang into action while you were sat frozen. He grabbed the bag and the pillow from your bed, darting to the nursery to pick up the carry chair and returned to find you in exactly the same spot.

"We need to go, jagi," he said, softly, ushering you towards the door as best he could with his hands full.

Nodding, but slightly dazed, you allowed him to lead you to the car and get you to the hospital.

Once you were there and settled in a room, your brain finally started to catch up.

"Are you comfortable? Can I do anything?" asked Siwon.

"No and no," you replied, as you spoke another contraction started. "Ah, actually, let me break your hand," you told him through gritted teeth.

He happily leant in to let you grip his hand as tight as you needed.

"Breath through the pain, yeobo," he reminded you calmly.

"Easy for you to say," you snarled as the contraction came to an end. "And that's only the beginning."

"Think positive," your husband said, trying to hide his smile at the new side of you labour had brought out.

After a few hours of intermittent contractions and your overbearing husband reminding you to breathe, you were finally in active labour.

"Here we go, you can do this," he encouraged.

"Siwon, can you do me a favour?"

"Anything."

"Shut up," you said bluntly.

He opened his mouth to reply before deciding it might be best to just do what you wanted at this moment in time. He sat silently, allowing you to grip his hand as hard as you liked while the midwife coached you through your birth.

It took a couple more contractions, you bruising Siwon's hand and him biting his lip to stay quiet for you before your baby entered the world.

"Congratulations, you have a beautiful baby girl," the midwife told you, holding her up, before offering Siwon the chance to cut the umbilical cord.

"Our very own little princess," Siwon smiled down at you as they took her off to clean her up and weigh her.

"Why do I already get the sense she's got you wrapped around her tiny finger?" you couldn't help but laugh.

"Because she has," he replied instantly.

At that moment your new-born was brought back over to you.

"Just look at her, she's so precious," he continued.

"Can appa have the first cuddle?" you asked the nurse, watching as your husbands face lit up.

"Of course he can," the nurse replied, carefully passing your daughter to Siwon.

Your heart filled with joy as you watched how gently he held her, simply gazing at her face in pure adoration.

“You’re already such a great father,” you whipered to him.

“I can’t believe how much I love her already,” he replied, as he let his daughter grab onto his finger.

“Sorry I got mad and bruised your hand.”

“Don’t worry about it,” Siwon assured you, not once looking at you. “I’d let you do it all over again. She’s worth it.”

“She really is,” you replied, reaching over and stroking the tiny tuft of hair on your daughters head. “And she’s all ours.”
