What they’re playing looks like one of the modern versions of Sugoroku, where the the squares you land on will have instructions. I’ve never seen a version where the instructions on the squares are like Truth or Dare games, though. Only seen versions where the choices is almost like an otome game choice, where it would say something like “What would you like to do? If you choose A, jump 4 squares, if you choose B, Jump 5 squares".

Here’s one of the examples where it’s actually Sengoku themed. On this square it says “Whose team do you join in Sekigahara?”

It says “Go West (red trail) for Hideyoshi or go East (purple trail) for Ieyasu”, which is not correct (because Hideyoshi is dead), but since this is for kids it might be easier for them to remember rather than saying “Toyotomi (represented by Mitsunari, usually) or Tokugawa”

Sugoroku did already exist in the Sengoku, but the version of it back then looks more like a Backgammon game. This version that looks more like snakes-and-ladders like this is a later development.

New Year Kotatsu Games: Sugoroku It's the end of a very busy year for the demon corps. Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke are playing sugoroku, waiting for midnight when they can open their fukudamas (ball novelty crackers with year's fortune and gifts).

Zenitsu's a big fan of board games. Inosuke definetly hasn't gotten the hang of it but he's being a good sport. Nezuko's glad she can be part of the festivities. Tanjiro is just glad to relax. 🦍 Hajime 🦍

Hajime never really entertained the idea of children. For one, the two of you were already busy as it was with work, and Hajime never really thought he'd be great dad material. But boy, does that change one fateful day..

It's a usual day at work and his usual business, making his rounds around the building to make sure everyone's staying in line, traps are working, etcetera.

As he makes his way through a hallway he picks up on the sound of a child crying nearby. Heading to the fork in the halls and turning right, he sees you there, on one knee and petting the child's back, your soft voice comforting them gently.

For a bit Hajime just stands there, watching. Then you pick up the child and hold them against your chest, turning to notice Hajime there and smiling with a greeting and an explanation.

Apparently the child, whom is the son of one of the guards, had snuck off from his mother earlier and gotten lost.

Hajime didn't think the image of you holding a young child would set off certain neurons in his brain which made him imagine that child being his own with you.

That image keeps him up at night for more days than he could tolerate and soon enough, he's asking you how you'd feel about being the mother of his kids.

🧘 Upa 🧘

Being a dedicated Qigong Master, Upa never once had the thought of being a dad cross his mind. He found the idea to be too unimportant or even just distracting compared to his goals in life.

That and honestly, he couldn't stand hearing kids cry and throw fits. It always annoyed him.

One day while out training in the courtyard, one of the guards has their kid with them, letting them play, and of course, Upa is irked by the tot's squeaky voice distracting his training.

The kid ends up tripping on a loose root and starts wailing. Upa groans, but you on the other hand, run over and help the child to their feet, gently dusting off the knees and shushing them.

Upa finds himself staring a bit longer than he'd have thought he would as you rub their sore elbows, thumb away their tears, gently squishing their cheek in an attempt to make them giggle..

He doesn't realize he's blushing a bit until Liang asks him if he's feeling alright cause he's looking flushed

Upa mentally curses you for managing to make the idea of children actually seem tolerable and something he could want one day when out of prison with you

🍑 Liang 🍑

For the majority of his life, Liang has never really been around kids or interacted with them. Though he's sure during his time in the mafia where he was sicked on people, he must've orphaned a child or two. And the idea broke him.

Cause while he may not have been around children that much, he can't lie; he's got a soft spot for them.

Every now and then kids of guards show up at Nanba with their mothers, but today happened to be take your kid to work day, so there were a few.

He, his cellmates and you were running along the exercise track, not paying much attention to anything else. That is until you spotted a child running off from his dad.

You stopped to help the guard catch the runaway kid, taking the boy's hand and leading them back to the very thankful guard.

Liang ended up stopping so he could look back at you as you knelt down and gently explained to the child why running from daddy is not good and scooted them into his arms.

Thoughts of how good you were with the child bloomed into wondering how you'd be with a child you had with him.. then wondering why the hell he thought of that and having a blush attack.

🐒 Samon 🐒

Since you and Samon started dating he's actually thought of having kids several times, and those thoughts only grew once married to you.

But he never really got the guts to actually ask you about it, monkey man was too worried he'd disturb you

You can imagine his surprise when he sees just how good you are with kids one day

He just so happened to stop by a guard room that you were staying at, and when he questioned why you had a young child sitting on your lap, you explained that the guard had to run elsewhere quick and you were tasked with watching the kid for him

As Samon took care of the business he had at the room, filling out some paperwork, he couldn't stop his eyes from glancing up at every little giggle and laugh that came out of the child as you played with them.

Realizing you seemed to like kids just as much as he liked the idea of having them with you, it sent off fireworks in his brain and completely derailed his focus on work.

He finally had the balls he previously lacked to ask you about children by the time you both got through your front door.

Hi! Can you still do nanbaka request, with Reader is the sister of the Sugoroku brothers.

Where Reader meeting the other inmates (w/ their supervisors) from other buildings, probably at Uno's game room (Uno's prize from The Tournament)

The 13 building inmates and her brothers are protective of Reader

-Hajime felt his stomach churning with anger, knowing he was going to be having some issues later, as he felt his eyelid twitching, his temple throbbing, seeing what he had walked into after bringing Uno and the other members of Cell 13 to his game room, his reward for winning in the tournament.

-You worked in Nanba Prison alongside your brothers, but not as a guard, you worked alongside Doctor Otogi in the research department and medical wing.

-You knew Cell 13 thanks to Nico, whom you met during one of his checkups and the others followed, surrounding you, adoring you as you were a pretty lady, wanting to chat you up.

-All of them but Niko, who was enjoying your hug, his head resting on your chest, had frozen in fear, when you introduced yourself, telling them that Hajime was your big brother!

-They all thought you were going to be just as scary as him, but you were so warm and inviting, willing to give them hugs, at least for a moment before Hajime stormed over, punching them to get them away from you.

-This led to you scolding him, and surprisingly he showed throat to you, not wanting to upset you, and Cell 13 was merciless in using you to their advantage, running to you when Hajime was being ‘mean’ as they knew you would protect them, which only made things worse as it pissed Hajime off even more.

-Hitoshi was protective of you as well, but he was less violent compared to Hajime, only pouting lightly, telling others to leave you alone while hugging you himself, which you thought was cute.

-However, as Uno and the others were brought in from the other buildings, so they could enjoy this game room too, the moment you walked in all focus when to you.

-Trois and Honey were instantly rushing towards you, each of them taking a hand, flirting instantly as you looked between them, a bit confused. Kiji came over as well, holding a hand to his cheek, impressed with your beauty, “And who is this lovely young lady, I’ve never seen a rose like you in Nanba before.”

-Hajime was feeling torn, he was pissed you were being flirted with, but also looking forward to the amusement he was about to receive as you were quickly surrounded by the other inmates and guards who were curious about you.

-Hitoshi and Hajime were standing side by side, with Cell 13 next to them, looking jealous that these other inmates were trying to steal your attention.

-You beamed brightly, causing roses and sparkles to appear around you, introducing yourself, “It’s nice to meet you all, my name is Sugoroku Y/N!”

-Instantly they all froze, turning to stone before they all turned to Hajime, who had his arms crossed over his chest before looking back at you, silently demanding an explanation.

-You weren’t bothered, smiling again, “Hajime is my big brother!” Kiji was shocked, cupping your cheeks, smooshing them a bit much to your surprise, claiming it couldn’t be true, as you were so beautiful and sweet looking, nothing like your gorilla of an older brother.

-You pouted lightly, making love arrows hit all their hearts as Trois clutched at his chest, overwhelmed by the cute look, “Don’t be mean to my big brother!” you were so sweet!

-Hajime unfortunately got fed up after Cell 13 joined the fray, hugging you and trying to play tug of war with you, saying that they were your favorite, causing arguments, and he delivered a punch to the top of each of the inmate’s heads, leaving steaming lumps.

-You were instantly scolding Hajime, “You shouldn’t hit people! What have I told you about using violence?!” seeing you defending all of them from Hajime was heartwarming, seeing you sticking up for them, but it made things worse for your older brother, as they all used you to keep Hajime in line, much to his annoyance.
