Avoid “I can’t” - instead say “How can I do this?”
This way you will become more open to new possibilities and solutions. Notice the negativity in your attitude, such as “Who will give me a job at this age?” Change it to “I will get a job at this age, how is this possible?”

Attention is the key to life. Where your attention goes, your life goes as well.
Know what you need. Then remove everything that is taking away your attention from what you should really be focusing on. OR, just start removing distractions from your life. Then you’ll eventually find what you needed all along.

Productive Muslim
Does being busy mean you’re being productive? I heard a funny Arabic proverb the other day, it roughly translates to “he’s busy with not being busy”! It refers to people who are always running around, acting so busy, but if you look deep into what they are doing, they literally are busy for nothing! If you’re not sure if you’re like that, here are a couple of symptoms:
You’re not developing yourself You’re not achieving any personal/family goals You’re not completing projects you set out to do Everything seems URGENT to you but they are not important You look back at your day, so tired, and ask yourself “what on earth did I achieve today?” If the above sound familiar, it’s time to stop being busy and be productive! Find out what’s IMPORTANT in your life and aim to achieve at least 3 tasks in your day which lead you towards your important goals. Aim for just 3, and watch your life move forward productively. We need to stop ourselves getting trapped in the crazy tornado of daily life, and truly seek to be in control of our lives, otherwise our “busy” life will end, and we haven’t done anything!

Four Practical Ways to Enhance Your Mood
On a “bad” day however, things seem bleak: we isolate ourselves from others, we are irritable, we are pessimistic and negative and usually don’t feel like accomplishing much. Some of us have more “bad” days than “good” ones. Some of us can go weeks desperately waiting for a tiny flicker of hope for a better day to come along.
Wait no more: there is hope for all!

**NEW POST** [Behind the Scenes] How Productive Muslim Doodles Are Developed
“I thought I would write this post in case anybody might be interested in the process behind the informational doodle posters I design for Productive Muslim. It’s not quite a tutorial or guide, because I am just making things up as I go along. Since the bulk of the work is drawing the little graphics/icons, let the video first introduce you to something called a Wacom tablet …”

Yeah, right. A story about ‘sleeping’ for hundreds of years teaches Muslims about productivity?!
Well, let’s recap the events together, shall we? A number of young men are guided to believe in the One and Only Lord and because they lived in a city of disbelievers they decide to escape to the cave, fearing execution after calling people to monotheism. Allah [swt] makes the boys fall asleep for 309 years (300 solar and 9 lunar years), and then they wake up to a new society filled with faith. It’s a miracle and it’s amazing but hey, as far as the story goes, that is it! We learn so many lessons from it but ‘productivity’ isn’t one of them, since the boys were actually sleeping! Isn’t that what some people would think?
Actually, there is more to this story than that, and that’s what we’ll explore in this article.
