I haven't mentioned it on here yet, buuuut...

Yeah I also have an obsession with AHiT, which was recently rekindled when a friend mentioned they were replaying it. So, im back on the hat game now. Perhaps expect more of this. Sorry to those that stayed for Spamton, im a little burned out on him and im not sure why tbh.

It’s giving tired doctor who needs a pretty girl like you to comfort her because she’s so overworked and depressed from being around dying patients all the time 🥺

Like, I can see her strutting into the SMC with a beer can in her hand as she plops down on a couch (manspreading, btw) before beckoning you over with her finger so you could sit on her lap and let her play with you while she unwinds. Poor woman has the darkest circles under her eyes and her hair is a bit greasy from how hard she worked throughout the day, but nothing a few kisses and a hot shower with you can’t fix <3

Let her down a beer or two first though. She deserves it.

learning to draw by being really mentally unwell about a guy

getting my taste for cooking back a little bit at a time :-)

made an exceptional lemony roasted chicken last week w savory shatteringly crisp skin and juicy tender meat. it left a delightful grease around our mouths, the kind that makes you feel like a wild creaturebeast, in the best way. i played it on top of golden potatoes that i half-heartedly mashed w butter, cream, lemon, parmesan, and parsley. i had placed a bed of greens beneath the chicken (separated by a wire rack) while it roasted, so the greens cooked in the rich chicken drippings and became sooo melty and flavorful. sooo delicious and so simple and so easy when im able to think ahead enough to pull it off. and SO many leftovers <333

today, my poor gf came down w a cold. before dinner, i made us twin mugs of steaming salted caramel hot chocolate. i made it with a homemade burnt salted caramel, heavy cream, whole milk, dark cocoa powder, and chopped dark chocolate stirred in until perfectly melted. it was VERY decadent and rich, both of us had a hard time finishing it, so i’ll definitely make less next time. but it was insaneeee it was so good

i also prepped a heavily spiced gingerbread molasses cookie dough that will stay chilling in the fridge for the next day or so until i have the time to bake it. i have dreamy plans of dipping the cookies into tempered dark chocolate, maybe in a half-moon shape, so that the chocolate shatters when you bite it and then you get the chewy cookie beneath. thank you to whoever sent the ask telling me they made their gingerbread dipped in chocolate, it sounded sooo good i had to make it myself!!

then, i used the big bag of ripened red plums resting in my fridge to make a jam. the end product is a deep red syrup with delicious slivers of juicy, sugared fruit. it’s warmly spiced with cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, cardamom, and orange zest/juice. i hope to swirl it into buttery oatmeal w milk and to spoon it onto vanilla ice cream and to spread it generously on toast w ricotta!!! so so so so excited for it hehe it’s my fave thing ever. it tastes heavenly, like wintertime, and it made the whole house smell the same!!

in a few days, i plan to make a beef stew w pearled barley, root veg, and rich beef stock, served w buttered sourdough. similarly, i will be making pan seared salmon over rice w a rich lemony broth for another dinner. the wintertime soup cravings are insatiable LOL
