Solar Angels Eclipse Portal Talon Abraxas
Soul and Solar Angel
“Soul” or “higher self” mean different things to different people —or at least different philosophers. From one perspective, customarily identified with Plato, the soul is the eternal “real self,” the perfect archetype, of which the physical or personality life is but an imperfect shadow. From another perspective, often assigned to Aristotle, the soul emerges from the physical life; the soul is the ephemeral aspect of a human being or other living organism, but it is firmly rooted in physical existence. The Aristotelian model strongly influenced traditional Christian theology and, even more strongly, the soul-materialism of modern religious commentary. The two perspectives, at first sight conflicting, turn out to be complementary, and in their synthesis we can gain greater insight into what we loosely call “the soul.”
The Tibetan distinguishes the “human soul” from the Solar Angel. The former, approximated by the Aristotelian model, reflects the cumulative wisdom of many lifetimes and, particularly, growing awareness of a higher reality. Starting from almost imperceptible beginnings in primitive man, the human soul emerges from the life of the lower vehicles. As the consciousness expands, the soul begins to form around the mental unit, which is located on the 4th mental subplane. When the three lower vehicles are integrated into a functioning personality, under mental control, the human soul acquires definite coherence and permanence.
At some stage, as the opening quotation indicates, the human soul begins to recognize the existence of the Solar Angel that watches over it. In contrast with the emerging human soul, the Solar Angel already has the permanence and stability of the Platonic archetype. For millions of years, it has overshadowed our lower nature:
The great solar Angel, Who embodies the real man and is his expression on the plane of higher mind, is literally his divine ancestor, the “Watcher” Who, through long cycles of incarnation, has poured Himself out in sacrifice in order that man might BE.
During countless incarnations, the Solar Angel has served as “the meium of expression for the Monad or pure spirit, just as is the personality for the Ego on the lower level.” But its relationship to man had a beginning and will also have an end:
From the point of view of man in the three worlds, this Ego, or Solar Lord, is eternal; he persists throughout the entire cycle of incarnations, just as the personality persists during the tiny physical life cycle. Nevertheless, this period of existence is only relatively permanent, and the day dawns when the life which expresses itself through the medium of the Ego, the Thinker, the Solar Lord or Manasadeva, seeks to loose itself from even this limitation, and to return to the source from which it originally emanated.
The eventual departure of the Solar Angel, an event of profound significance for each human entity, will be discussed later. Meanwhile, it will be useful to step back and examine some other sources of information on the soul and Solar Angel.
Blavatsky’s teachings on the Solar Angel, or Manasaputra, received relatively little attention, even in the Theosophical Society, but traces can be found in the writings of the Society and its offshoots. Geoffrey Hodson describes “the threefold Spiritual Self, called by the Greeks the Augoeides and frequently referred to as the Ego.” Rudolf Steiner discusses the role of the angelic being that “leads the individual from one incarnation to the next.”
Blavatsky’s work, of course, built on the foundations of eastern philosophy, but the Solar Angel has its counterpart in the western mystery tradition. There it is referred to as the Holy Guardian Angel, the Higher Genius, the Silent Watcher, or the Great Person. References to the Holy Guardian Angel date back to the 14th century, but the Angel is discussed more fully in works by members of the Hermetic Society of the Golden Dawn, a contemporary of the early Theosophical Society. Examining the western tradition is important insofar as it provides similarities as well as contrasts with our own teachings.
The Solar Angel also has its counterpart in the ancient Hawaiian religion of Huna. In Huna philosophy everyone has two souls, the unihi-pili and the aumakua. The higher soul, the aumakua (literally "ghost of the ancestors") survives physical death to guide the deceased on his or her journey through the afterworld. “Ancestors” often refers to previous incarnations, rather than to family lineage. The Huna unihi-pili and aumakua may be compared with the Gnostic Anthropos (“the man”) and the Anthropos Son of Anthropos (“the man that is that son of the man”).
Today, awareness of the Solar Angel’s existence is growing, not only among serious esoteric students, but also among others in the New Age movement. For example, in the popular channeled book, Emanuel’s Book Three, we find: “(Y)ou are only part human. The other part of you is an Angel.” “When I say you are Angels, that is exactly what I mean. I am not using a metaphor. I am not using a pleasant word. I am stating what I know to be true. You are Beings of Light.” We also read: “These Angels are gathered to promise the soul that it will not be left alone, and at the same time, to bid Godspeed.” This book appeared at the height of the angel cult of the 1990s, but it presents truths of lasting value to a large audience.
One obstacle to understanding the nature and role of the Solar Angel —particularly under its alternative name, the Holy Guardian Angel— is confusion with the guardian angel of popular imagination. As the Tibetan points out, the latter is but a “dim reflection of the Angel of the Presence, the Solar Angel.
Our understanding of the Solar Angel was greatly facilitated by Torkum Saraydarian’s book, The Solar Angel, 20 a compilation of his earlier work on the subject. Saraydarian, a long-time student of the Tibetan’s teachings, boldly clarified some troublesome concepts, and his work largely inspired the present study.

what "dnd sucks" folks get wrong is that the great wheel cosmology fucks insanely hard. what if the prime material plane, and its positive and negative echoes the feywild and shadowfell, were surrounded by the elemental planes, mixing and boiling into the chaos of subplanes and demiplanes of steam and mud and lava and ooze, and what if as though a film on top of all of those binding them together, there was the ethereal plane holding many semi-stable demiplanes and an infinite sea of mist and what if inside that mist there were giant cyclone-rips that were gateways to the astral plane. what if your fucking gnome could go to space and she had a silver cord that connected her to her material body!! what if dead gods were asteroids and people mined them!!! what if in the middle of this, there was a big spire of solidified neutrality and on top of it there was fucked up torus venice! and at the far ends of this infinite metaphysical expanse which, i cannot stress enough, is physical and has stuff in it, there were the halls of the gods that were pure representations of unfettered ideology?? What if demons were chaotic evil and devils were lawful evil and oooohhh did they hate each other so, so much. what if there was a perfectly logical plane, in fact! what if there was a plane for every alignment! no!! Make that 2 planes for the borders between alignments! olympus is here! dantes inferno is here!! Valhalla is here!! and what if somehow tangent to all of that, there was something unknowable and sinister, some other logic or cosmology that was intelligent and malevolent and alive and it was pressing itself into this and uhh yeah there's cthulhu shit in there!
(tbc the 'what the dnd sucks' thing is just a framing device i feel like a lot of play-another-game people would happily admit that the great wheel fucks hard)

Could you tell us something about your definition of subplanes and demiplanes are the moons on lust not just other well landmasses or are they there own dimensions due to a demon lord's power magic or otherwise? Also could you tell us about the demon lords not affiliated with or is known to just keep lilith busy?
Tumblr media
-subplanes are just different distinct areas of a plane, like the different territories of demon lords within the same circle of Hell. -demiplanes are areas that are distinct enough that theyre not entirely contained within the main plane whether in the process of budding off or merging with the main plane or stably tethered to it, and often connect between more than one plane without simply being a portal between them, but are always still spatially accessible from the right spots in the transplanes (the ethereal and shadow) even if blocked by magic. -if not accessible from the transplanes, and only from one other larger plane, then its a pseudoplane, which are small, incomplete, and/or artificial and represent more of a spatial infolding of the main plane. -paraplanes are a kind of demiplane that are congruent with their main plane like a parallel version of it as with the fey realm, and/or are a stable hybrid of the energies of more than one plane as with the magma and cloud elemental planes
the moons of Lust are basically their own dimensions in a sense, but are still physically accessible from Lust proper, making them demiplanes, and theyre in such a state due to the nature of their demon lords being thematically/ideologically distinct enough from the main power of Lust that it naturally buds itself off from the main plane, but similar enough to prevent them from separating into entirely new circles of Hell. basically hell is one of the planes shaped by belief and emotion and will, and it naturally separates itself out into distinct areas of different beliefs/emotions/wills by whatever the nature is of the dominant power in the area, even if thats just the mass of souls trapped in that area. Asmodeus and the incubi's territory by contrast is similar enough in its interpretation of lust that its still the same plane spatially as Lilith and the succubi's, even if theyre different enough to have physically scrambled it into a big storm of floating islands.
and i dont remember if i posted this here ever, but heres a chart i made a while ago of most of the demon lords in Hell, and their respective planes

I consider Geto to be more like Aizen and Gojo like Urahara, why do you think Geto is like Gin?
Although, I do think if it was Aizen in Geto’s place, he would’ve succeeded with his plans lol. Aizen don’t play like that.
Oh, anon, my love. Brace yourself for my upcoming analysis *cracks knuckles*
Some of the information I have gathered are from the Can’t Fear Your Own World light novels. If you don’t want spoilers, this is your chance to stop reading this post!!
Well, I can understand why people associate Aizen with Geto. I get it, both are powerful, inherently manipulative handsome blorbo materials with an evil plan… but…
Let me propose an idea for you, my dear. What if we start viewing Kenjaku as Aizen’s counterpart?
Both of their past is shrouded in mystery. We may never know why, when, and how they started their journey towards evil (unlike Gin and Geto but I'm gonna get back to this later). What we do know that they’re kinda… evil for the sake of evil (it’s a recurring thing in the main villains of Bleach, it gets repetitive after some arcs but minor antagonists are more fleshed out in that aspect).
Another obvious parallel: both Aizen and Kenjaku directly created the MC of their plot. Aizen with his Hollowfication fuckery with White and Kenny with... well, getting the backshots.
Absorption as a recurring metaphor: Aizen’s Hogyoku absorbs spiritual energy so Aizen can fuse it with himself later on to be an almost godlike being, Kenjaku absorbs power through their and Geto’s curse technique. It was a gamechanging moment when they absorbed Mahito and extracted his technique and when they absorbed Tengen.
And if I mention Tengen…
Their plans have something to do with an ancient powerful lifeform. In CFYOW, it is revealed that Aizen wanted to get rid of the Soul King and in the TYBW arc, the Royal Guards state that in order to make it happen, he needed to create an Oken, a key to the royal palace. The only way to have access to the Oken is if you acquire the bones from one of the Squad 0 members. And as we know, the Royal Guards are extremely ancient beings who created anything that Shinigami use to this day. I think Aizen wanted to aquire enough power with the Hogyoku to later kill the Royal Guards and use their bones to get into the royal palace.
Kenjaku has an old connection to Tengen, and since she had no vessel to merge with because Amanai was killed, her evolution can be used for Kenny’s plans, which is to merge humanity with Tengen for the sake of… utter curiosity.
So, both of their plans have something to do with creating a sort of primordial chaos. If Aizen succeeded, killing the Soul King would disrupt the balance of the whole universe. Balance between the World of the Living, Soul Society and Hueco Mundo is a key concept throughout Bleach. If the souls between the worlds are out of balance, the worlds will collide on each other. And before the Soul King’s creation, the world was in this inherently chaotic state.
Let’s stick to the plans a little bit more…
Aizen and Kenjaku has a solid plan. They’re crazily prepared, literally nothing can hinder their endeavor because they have subplans and other infuriating fuckery. Everything you do is going to move their plan forward.
And I think Geto has no well developed plan to genocide the non-sorcerers. It’s a headcannon of mine so take it with a grain of salt, but I believe that he has absolutely no idea how he’s going to make this plan work. Deep down I think he knows what he wants is impossible. Maybe he got burnt out during those 10 years and declares war for the sake of Jujutsu High finally killing him. He lost all his hope, killing him is mercy.
Aizen’s and Kenjaku’s plan has no emotional connotation. They’re pragmatists. They don’t want revenge, they're not evil to protect someone. Geto on the other hand has a very idealistic plan, it comes from emotion, selfishness. His main goal is not really genocide but to create a safe world for his loved ones.
And that’s when Gin comes into picture.
But before, let me talk about god complex.
Aizen obviously has one, he wants power equal to the Soul King, he kinda achieves it and he wants to replace the Soul King to control all beings in the world of Bleach. Aizen is dependent on his control, he must always have the upper hand in whatever situation he’s in. Even in Muken! And sometimes I hear fans saying that Geto has a god complex too. But I respectfully disagree with that statement.
What Geto has is a superiority complex. He wants to annihilate non-sorcerers and that’s it. He doesn’t want to lead the remaining sorcerers, he just wants them to be safe. It all stems from his traumas and downward spiral from Hidden Inventory and his beliefs that sorcerers are inherently better because they can’t create curses. He poses as a godly figure and is frequently depicted by Gege as Buddha but for me it’s not enough for a god complex. It’s just superiority. It’s basically the same thought process behind totalitarian regimes and other supremacy groups.
Plus, when Ichigo fights with Aizen who absorbed the Hogyoku, he senses a kind of loneliness from his sword. Isolation. An isolation that comes from him not having an equal in terms of power. It is a theme that I can associate more with Gojo rather than Geto.
But Gin… Oh, my sweet tragic man… how much I love him it's sickening...
The most obvious parallel between Gin and Geto is that they’re both doomed by the narrative. They can never succeed. They both die before accomplishing anything meaningful. They kinda need to, there’s no other possibility for them to live.
Gin’s plan is to get revenge on Aizen violating Rangiku, the only person he genuinely cares for and dedicated his whole life to protect. And besides being a mass murdering maniac, Geto wants an indirect revenge on non-sorcerers because in his twisted little mind, they killed Amanai, they killed Haibara, exploited him and Gojo by curses continuously popping up and they abused Mimiko and Nanako. Very emotionally driven plans and it all comes down to committing evil deeds for the sake of caring.
Gin and Geto come from literal nothing. Gin was a wandering soul in Rukongai, he spent a good chunk of his life in absolute poverty. Being a resident of Rukongai is basically means being the underbelly of society and Shinigami and other figures of political power do not care about them in the slightest. Geto’s parents are non-sorcerers. He has no fancy name, no fancy bloodline, no status in jujutsu society besides him being special grade from the moment he was scouted.
What they both have is talent, dedication, hard work. They’re perceptive, street smart. They both like toying with people they deem as inferior (and ofc they do it with a nice lil smile on their faces). And if I really want to force any similarity out, they both use polite speech.
And their defection has an emotional impact.
Aizen’s treachery is more like treason against society. Order. Status quo. Besides Hinamori nobody is hurt, they’re afraid, furious, disappointed. And you, as the viewer are rather shocked than sad, because you would have never guessed this plot twist. Gin’s and ofc Tosen’s treachery are treason against the people they love. In Geto’s case I think it’s a bit of both, but the latter aspect gets more focus.
When Gin leaves Soul Society Rangiku is a mess, Izuru is a mess because they both loved and trusted him. Izuru literally adored Gin as his captain. When Geto leaves Gojo is a mess and that’s the point I’m gonna catch Gege because we don’t see the reaction of the rest of Jujutsu High! It is not only Gojo who is hurt by Geto’s actions! Shoko, Nanami, Yaga lost him too and we have no idea how they handled the loss!
And now let’s talk about their failure.
Gin fails killing Aizen. Despite all the years he has spent with gaining his trust, he remained completely expendable for Aizen. And when he’s fused with the Hogyoku, Gin has no choice but to sacrifice himself. Gin recognizes his own failure, that he couldn’t avenge Rangiku and get back what she’s lost but at least he could apologize to her.
And after reading CFYOW it gets even more tragic. Rangiku had a particle of the Soul King. And even a mere nail of him means unimaginable spiritual power. Rangiku could have been a powerful Shinigami with enormous potential! And then Aizen took this particle from her, forever hindering her abilities, forever damaging her connection to the spirit of her zanpakuto. Of course Gin went crazy, and his only resolution was revenge.
And I think Gin is doomed because he waits for too long to kill him. He already knew the weakness of Kyoka Suigetsu’s hypnosis since he was a child. But he was waiting. Waiting until it was too late to accomplish anything.
And Geto fails killing all the non-sorcerers. He can’t create a safe world for his loved ones because his plan is inherently impossible to achieve. Though it’s not an apology, but he can tell Gojo that he never had any ill will towards Jujutsu High. Everything he did was for their sake. But he just couldn’t keep living in a world that has wronged him so hard that he can’t find anything that makes him happy.
And they both get to show a secret ultimate technique before their deaths. Gin has the "Kill, Kamishini no Yari" command he uses to poison Aizen and Geto has the Maximum technique Uzumaki.
And now another reason I’m gonna kick Gege in the butt.
Gin’s death has no impact on the plot itself but has an impact on the characters. We see Rangiku breaking down, ugly crying right before Aizen and Ichigo as she’s kneeling right next to his dead body and later in the next arc she reflects on how she deals with the grief.
Geto is the opposite.
His death has an impact on the plot. Kenny arrives, takes possession of his body and cursed technique, Rika’s curse is finally lifted, and she can pass on to the afterlife giving chance for Yuuta to carry on with his life. He can finally connect to people, make friends, an opportunity that he was robbed off since Rika’s death and him accidently cursing her.
But it has no impact on the characters. Gojo goes back to being goofy, there’s literally no signs of him being absolutely devastated for killing his only best friend. The only thing we got was the minutes long PTSD flashback before he gets sealed. I mean, it’s still something but it focuses on the past, when Geto was alive, a bit of hope that he was brought back but we have no immediate reaction of his death. And again, my problem with Gege that we get nothing from the other characters despite they lost him too. Like Mimiko and Nanako literally lost their father figure! And my poor girl Shoko… And you know… the whole plothole of what happened to Geto’s body after he was killed. Did Gojo just left him there or what? How could the brain worm crawl themself into him?
I guess that’s it. Sorry it got a bit long. Yeah, I think in terms of characterization and overall plot elements, Geto is the counterpart of Gin rather then Aizen. But I do believe that Gojo has a bit of Urahara in him, you’re right!
And again, thank u for letting me ramble about this stuff, probably gonna go back to edit some additional thoughts bc... i just know myself. Take care anon <33

Actually honestly the million little centipede body part steps of subplane-esque functions between Mental and Astral are fascinating. Theres a million ways to make something Mental, and each, like the planes and subplanes, provide different experiences of reality. I'm not talking about programming ofr the Mental, specifically you can make a mindspace or "reality" feel like any of the planes you want, you could literally programme an internal microcosm of all the planes and shift through them if you wanted, but specifically the beaches, the part where the ocean gets shallower and shallower, provide different consistencies and densities of the waters and of the sands too.
Certain Mental-drenched places in the astral have their various currents - the eroding, swirling forces - come from the Mental, where the local reigning "mind" (might be conscious, probably isn't, I'm mostly talking about the one that isn't) influences movement like a tide... There's other places where the Mental force is the heat of an area influencing densities and channels of movement rather than spirals as well as the speed of material... But these aren't just replacements of forces, they're entire energy states for lack of a better English description, they're reigning control over parts of the area
Anyway. Bored halfway through this I want to play no man's sky lmfao

ill ramble below the cut
I think the universe is a consciousness which fractures itself intentionally to create what we call souls, in order to incarnate and experience, learn and grow.
i believe that we all have journies past the mortal coil and once no longer constrained by the meatbags that house our selves, we would be able to hold together the memory and understanding of our past lives and the universe as it exists beyond our primitive senses.
that as souls passed on we might get reabsorbed by the divine whole and reincarnated eventually or might fuck around on one of the astral planes for a while (maybe forever if thats possible? who knows) or refuse any form of enlightenment and stay attached to the lowest sub-plane of the astral, never reincarnate, then wither and dissolve into husks of one's former self.
i assume gods are egregores or the primordial spiritual essences of facets of existence both tangible and intangible. ive never stopped to really ponder whether gods create souls or had a hand in its genesis as a thing but its certainly a fascinating thought.
as a hellenic polytheist i dont especially view the concept of the underworld and fields of asphodel+punishment and all that as such a literal thing, but hey i dont know everything. in fact, what i do presume to know is simply stuff ive gathered in research, most of which iirc roots in buddhist teachings? 🤔 hope im not misremembering what fucking school of thought im basing my assumptions on lmao
sometimes i really wanna be like "but is this CORRECT, the one correct answer" and as i grow and learn im starting to believe that theres a solid possibility that there is no one "most accurate" answer and perhapa the nature of existence beyond these fleshy borders might be susceptible to the power of belief shaping its existence, or maybe even just so simply as the theory that the sixth or so subplane of the astral holds for each person what they consider the afterlife to be - mirroring whatever that person's belief system says exists and they deserve; quite literally a hell (or heaven) of your own making.
if i can fuck off in a library of the stars and spend eons learning and amassing knowledge and expertise and witnessing the beauty of the universe (and maybe occasionally dipping back into RL for a new spin around the hell-block) like, tbh i think that'd be dandy
Fellow pagans and polytheists, do you believe in souls? If so, how do you believe they come to be? Do you believe deities play a role in the creation of souls? If you don't believe in souls, please feel free to elaborate!
I may not reply to every response, but I always love hearing what people have to say. Btw, when I mention polytheists, I mean of any religious path! 🧡

Solar Angel Gateway Talon Abraxas
Contact with the Solar Angel
The Solar Angel channels life from the Monad to the lower self, responding to karmic necessities and orchestrating a sequence of incarnations through which the individual can gain evolutionary experience. The Solar Angel’s point of attachment to the human individual is the causal body. It links the mental permanent atom on the first subplane with the mental unit on the fourth. Between these subplanes lies the great gulf that has divided us, since our inception as human beings, and which eventually we seek to bridge by constructing the antahkarana.

Greater Eirwen Woods
The Greater Eirwen Wood is a massive forest that spans a substantial portion of West Haven’s western border. The lands are intensely magical and fey in nature, and function as a conduit to several important extraplanar gateways – specifically those to the Shadowfell and Feywilds, as well as to the Underdark and other subplanes.
The woods were generally taken care of by a circle of twelve druidic conclaves who were a mix of people from the three middle planes, as Eirwen woods marks a place of great cultural significance and symbolises a unity between the Fey, the Mortal and the Shadovar.
This was until Blindwick was founded, and the high elves who migrated here took power into their own hands, which caused tensions to arise between the new city-state and the people who already lived here.
