Aaron and Liv are home when there is a rumble. When the literal dust settles, they realize their home is in ruins and they are trapped. Those in the pub, including Robert, hear the rumbling and what seems like an explosion. To Robert’s horror, he sees his home has fallen into a sink hole. What’s worse, a call from Aaron confirms the worst… he is in the sink hole. Now it’s a race to save the siblings before it’s too late…

The Thrill of the Chase (2018) 3.2K words, livesybaby

Robert is known as the serial dater by his sister. But to himself, Robert sees it as the Sugden charm that makes him able to have whoever he wants… but for Aaron. He was the exception and that made the chase for Aaron even more thrilling to Robert as it was no secret he set his eye on the elusive mechanic. Will he catch Aaron in the end?

The fic covers a couple of areas which, in the end, is all about trust and not keeping secrets whether it’s for the other’s own good. That said, we focus on Liv calling the coppers on Robert for supposedly having the vile one killed and Aaron having believed it, both Aaron and Robert revealing their insecurities about their future (and fearing not having one), as well as Aaron learning about the Andy/Ross connection to Robert’s shooting.

Cain decides to expand the money coming into Dingle & Dingle Automotives by opening up a car wash service on a country road and that means grumpy Aaron is first up on duties there (luckily he has mate Adam to help him out in the start). Soon enough a white Audi shows with a blonde haired prick behind the wheel who likes what he sees. And so we have a brief journey to the start of their affair.

Your Body’s a Message (2017) 12.4K words, lovesnarf (snarfette)

Takes place during hell year when scumbag/creep/nimrod/etc Jason comes looking for Aaron (who is in Ireland) and encounters Robert instead at the Mill… things don’t turn out well for Robert. It brings Aaron flying back to his estranged husband’s side posthaste after hearing a voice message and fearing the worst for Robert. Will the circumstance lead them to a path of reconciliation?

Pinkpetrolheads (2015) 4.0K words, Stulot

Takes place after Aaron returned from France. Adam gives Aaron a membership to a website. It’s here the lads meet online (and soon enough start texting) forming a close and unconditional friendship. When they decide it’s time to meet, neither know the other are from the same village. When circumstances change at the last minute, will Robert be willing to return so he can finally meeting Aaron? Better yet? No Whites in sight 🙌!

Me, a few months ago: I’ll take a few days off to celebrate my sister’s birthday with her, it will be nice and relaxing. Also me, on the second day: *wakes up with a knee so badly in pain that I could hardly move* Me, this week: I’ll take a few days off to spend with my dad, it’s gonna be lovely and a nice compensation for what happened last time I took a few days off. Also me, the very first day: *starts having stomach pain that within a few hours means I end up in the hospital due to an infected kidney* Clearly, my body just hates taking time off. In other news though, it’s cheered me up immensely to be tagged by @pocketwishes, @smittenwithsugden and @i-cordelia, it’s so sweet of you to include me and I promise I will do that when I’m better, I also got a loving message from @aaron-fan, saw again the new, 3D version of my old icon that @robertssofttouchxaaronssoftlad made for me (not only is she so kind to me, but she’s willing to make a special icon/header for others too, so you can feel free to ask her and give her all the love for how wonderful she is) and @stulot sent me a link to ‘the snuggle is real’ Robron post. Thomas is a fucking tank. They literally call him the tank. He’s all muscle. That kid would beat the shit out of Robert. I am like.....you know nothing about fighting or wrestling or anything. I have no doubt he would take out Robert easily.

I definitely agree, but I would argue that to Rhona he hasn’t been nice in the past? 

as for Chas, they have tried it before and it hasn’t seemed to work? 

idk I just don’t understand why these two women would go back to a man where the relationship hasn’t worked in the past other than the writers needing cheap drama and writing these women only as being interesting in relation to a male character?! I am just not a fan :P

I just saw a pic that @scrapyardboyfriends made of robron old together and it hit me. OMF!! The story called Birthdays by @stulot is coming true. It’s FUCKING coming true. Then the tears started.

If you never read it. Go read it. If it’s still in A03. I don’t know. I haven’t read it again in years but I will never forget it and it’s at least a 3 boxes of Kleenexes kind of story.

Eighteen year old Robert had plans. He was gonna take a gap year trip to Thailand and enjoy himself but that was not to be. Instead, Jack had a heart attack and Robert was obligated to stay and be there to help his family. Now it’s a year later and Robert is still stuck in the village but there is one bright spot for the nightmare closeted bisexual… Aaron, who works at the garage with him. He becomes his gay guru when he comes out at Jack’s coming home party after one dig too many. As Robert gets more comfortable in his skin, so do he and Aaron as they come to realize they have feelings for each other and take it from there.

Circumstance has Robert finding Aaron’s note he’s leaving and Aaron manages to make his way to France… to his ex’s, Ed, flat to get away from his dad and his life in general. Said life won’t let him be as Robert figures out who Aaron’s running from and goes after him to France. Will Aaron allow Robert back in enough to confide why he can’t remain in the village? One thing is certain. Ed himself sees that while they don’t appear to mesh, they are right for each other and compliment each other. Now, it’s up to them to decide that is true and face Aaron’s demons… together.

Things are gonna get interesting especially after Chrissie sees them together after they return. What’s in store for the three characters?

Aaron and Adam are rent boys in la la land Hollywood. Robert is a rich bloke who gets lost trying to find Beverly Hills. Aaron offers to give him directions and even direct him there personally for a price. The rest follows the general plot of the movie as they find their happily ever after after a bit of trial and error.

Ewan Stuart, a friend and go to person that Robert has known since his missing years and has kept in touch on and off, shows up in the village while on break from the airline wanting to catch up with ‘Bobby.’ The two find a common interest in disliking Joe Tate. Ewan offers to dig up dirt to help Robert with Joe but needs a favor that is not above board. This leads Aaron getting involved and Ewan being fascinated by the man Robert is married to but sees Vic for a hookup while there. Will the trio get enough on Joe to get him out of the lads’ for good this time?

Aaron spots a blonde bloke called Robert and soon the two are sharing a game of roulette. In the end, the spark he feels leads him to Robert’s hotel room and any doubts fade away. Aaron has to decide whether he really wants to marry so young or experience more of what life has to offer.

Robert and Aaron are two footballers. When the press make a mountain out of a molehill believing the two are involved when they’ve only met the once, Robert’s frustrations get the better of him and he outs himself as bisexual. Moving forward, the two begin chatting by text then phone and Aaron outs himself to Robert who promises to keep it a secret. After winning a game later, a congratulatory kiss leads them to spend more time together but Aaron’s fears of coming out and the potential homophobia that comes with it, puts a strain on their budding relationship.
