It wasn't often that Blade strayed outside the mission.

Just as the sword he wielded, Blade cut through his missions with precise cuts, following Elio's script like law. While Kafka and Silver Wolf would take liberties with their scripts, going off to shop or to fight, Blade stayed at his designated spot, staring blankly at the clock until he was called upon once more. He never did more, never did less.

So to see him gazing off into the distance, a hint of a smile on his face, was definitely out of the ordinary.

"What's on your mind, Bladie?" Kafka asked, her pupil-less eyes peering at her partner from behind her drink. "It's rare to see you so... restless. Has the mara been bothering you?"

Blade shook his head, a disgruntled sigh escaping him. His gaze reached past Kafka, focusing on the silhouette of your person as you chatted away with Dan Heng.

Kafka hummed, tilting her head as she played with her straw, mindlessly stirring her beverage. "Hm... Then is it them?"

Blade's fingers stilled. Kafka smiled, knowing she had hit the spot.

"So it is," she mused, stifling a giggle as Blade shot her an annoyed look.

"They're talking to him," Blade muttered, laying his hand flat against the table. Surprisingly, the mara did not strike, nor did Blade become irritated. His voice was gentle, soft like the breeze.

"Indeed they are," Kafka took a sip, licking her lips at the burn of alcohol. "Do you wish that was you, Bladie?"

Her teasing wasn't lost on the man, but he didn't bother with a reply.

"No," Blade murmured, resting his head in the palm of his hand. The artificial sunlight of the Xianzhou bathed you in a heavenly glow, your carefree laughter a sweet symphony. "I wouldn't dare disturb such beauty."

And yet, it seemed as though fate had glanced his way, just as you had. Your eyes met with his, and you smiled, waving at him. Blade's heart thudded in his chest, and for a moment, life returned to him.

His hand twitched, wanting to return your greetings, but the rough drag of his bandages stopped him. Blade averted his gaze, hiding his slowly flushing skin behind his palm.

Kafka snickered at his predicament, quickly snapping a photo of his flustered state and sending it to the other Stellaron Hunters. Instantaneously, Silver Wolf sent back a vomiting emoji, while Sam excitedly congratulated Blade on his newfound emotions. Elio didn't reply, he never does.

"Aren't you adorable," she cooed, turning her phone off and tucking it away. "You know, I doubt they'll mind if you just walked up to them."

Yes, you certainly wouldn't mind. However, your very disturbed friends would.

"What are you doing?" Dan Heng hissed as you waved to the Hunter, grabbing your wrist and snatching it down. "You know how dangerous that man is."

"But isn't he so cute?" you chuckled, the tips of your ears flushed. "Besides, he hasn't done anything to hurt me yet."

"Yet being the operative word," Dan Heng sighed in exasperation. "I hope you didn't forget how he threw a sword through me."

"I try not to think about it." You stretched back your arms. "Don't get your tail in a twist, Dan Heng. I'm just being friendly."

"That's not what your face says," Dan Heng commented, poking your cheek. "I can still see you mooning over him."

"I am not- mooning over him!" you objected, swatting his finger away. "I was just... thinking."

"Of course you are. Thinking of the man who stabbed me, that is."

"And he looked good doing it- Dan Heng!" you yelped as Dan Heng elbowed you. Your friend only crossed his arms, raising a brow at you as you glared at him. "Alright, alright, fine. I just- I know I shouldn't like him, but..."

"There's a but in this?"

"His arms are really toned, okay? Have you seen his muscles?"

Dan Heng gagged, pretending to throw up over the railing. "Far closer than I'd like to admit- Point being, he's a wanted criminal."

You stared blankly at him. "So?"

Dan Heng stared back. "What do you mean, 'so'?"

"I can fix him."

The only words you could use to describe Dan Heng's face was pure disappointment. Swiftly, he turned on his heel, and promptly walked away from you, quickening his steps as you chased after him.

"Hey! Where're you going so quickly-"

Dan Heng stopped for only a moment, his expression unreadable as he glanced back at you. "I don't talk to people who kiss wanted criminals."

You held up a finger. "To be fair, I haven't kissed him yet-"

"I'm leaving."

i think my insanity has made it clear btw that i like what the dlc did writing wise with messmer and marika but i do sort of dislike one aspect of it which is like…… so the cycle of violence and suffering and the creation of social orders that justify them is a theme in the base game that the dlc highlights further with both the treatment of the hornsent AND the reveal of marikas origins and the reason Why messmer purged the land of shadow. and i think its interesting from a character perspective since it highlights the tragic hypocrisy and blindness on the characters parts etc etc. but i do think it does undermine elden rings narrative about colonialization and the inherent violence of it a little bit, even though they are obviously core ideas in the base games narrative and world building.

like its sort of Hmm that the dlcs like. yeah our worldbuilding centers on the destruction of the hornsent people and their culture but well actually these colonized and subjucated peoples kinda did it to themselves by having an equally if not More brutal society beforehand. and like this isnt the worst example of it writing wise to exist ofc but it will always strike me as a bit questionable when someone writes a violent conqueror character like marika and goes Well actually shes just doing it for revenge bc the people she hates were bad and hurt Her. when that obviously does not reflect the real reasons behind colonialist violence which are chiefly the control over recourses and land through genocidal violence.

and what bugs me especially is that the base game does have a more grounded portrayal of colonialist violence present what with the golden orders way of ruling the land and enslaving people but like i said i think the dlcs writing on marika and the hornsent, while interesting, doesnt really add to it like id hoped

before we get there - hello, the person who has been obsessed with the visual novel in question for almost a year speaking. for any poll you see an entropic float character in, i am always one of the people to have submitted them, and i am the person who has been writing most of the propaganda for them (qpr-competition is also me, btw, any "i wrote that massive essay" over there come from me as well). my obsession is in part fueled by the fact that almost nobody knows it, but ive been working on that

with that out of the way...

Entropic Float: This World Will Decay And Disappear is a visual novel that features a cast of 14 characters in an Anomalous Clocktower. the anomaly is of the timeloop type - every 24 hours, as the clock strikes midnight, time rewinds, and you might or might not be able to remember the events of the past loops.

ive said this before and ill say it again - i consider the selling point of the game to be the characters, which is great, because at its core its about getting to know and love them - the phrase "mortifying ordeal of being known" is used verbatim in the route leading up to the true ending.

for example, Peri and Abel, both featured in this poll, are canonically aroace. they have been joined at the hip since they were kids, although that wasnt quite for the right reasons - Peri was being raised as a bodyguard for Abel and his older brother. at the core of their shared character arc is the struggle against amatonormativity - people assuming that, since theyre a boy and a girl and are best friends, they must fall in love with each other eventually, and are just too young right now; that they should give it time, and it will happen. the pressure is worrying for both of them, and Abel in particular has gone on puberty blockers; "these people must be right, but i dont want to become someone who falls in love, so i will stave off my growing up".

Jasper Jasmine "Jazz" Jekyll, who has been voted out in the preliminaries, is grey-aromantic and pansexual. however, the more present in the narrative part of her character is that she is a trans woman, and that she considers her gender to have changed rather than having always been there; "i was fine being a boy until i wasnt". she is working towards her masters in social studies, and has used her falling into the anomaly as data for her thesis.

as i have said, there is a total of 14 characters in the main cast; ive told you about three, as they are fitting for the theme of the bracket, but all of them are queer of various flavours, and written in a very alive way - from Shinji who im pretty sure is only stated to be bisexual in his profile and nowhere in the rest of the text, to Kanatsun who brings up questioning his sexuality in his memories and is still written down as questioning, to Loam whose gender identity isnt respected because of their disability, to JJ who throughout the anomaly gains the courage to come out as trans to his adoptive mom... theres a lot of different ones! fourteen of them!

Spider spectre I’m interested. And love ourple

okay okay. so.

spectre spider is my spider sona, and so far what ive got is:

River (she/her) is a college student who is interested in cryptids and stuff, so when she suddenly discovers she has spider powers? what better thing to do than to base her Spider identity on a pre-existing cryptid?

so, in her world, The Spectre (????) is a known cryptid that has a ghostly figure. it doesnt speak, it simply shows up before tragedy strikes. it doesnt interact. it just stares. and then it disappears.

River decides to use this as the base for her own identity. Spectre-Spider (any pronouns) is a spider-person with a mostly pale purple suit, and a cape made of mist. the misty cape can be manipulated to look cool, but its just for aesthetics. the hood is plain cloth. but because of the cape and hood (the cape can glow btw dont. dont ask how idk.) Spectre-Spider looks just like the ghostly figure seen before tragedies.

Spectre-Spider shows up at crime scenes, uses as little force as necessary, doesnt speak unless required, and then leaves. he doesnt quip, he just silently does their job, and then leaves.

Spectre-Spider is seen as something of a cryptid himself too, considering it just.. acts like The Spectre, but with the added "actually doing something about it".

the fun thing is? The Spectre is an actual person. i havent figured out their specific details yet but theyre gonna be another person, and River just didnt fuckin know, and stole thier look. The Spectre is fine with it tho bc like. Spidey isnt doing anything bad, so its not a big deal.

small design details: those are knee braces. the eyes have faint pupils because i thought it would be really creepy if the eyes look pure black from afar and then Spectre-Spider gets in your face and theres some absolutely horrifying pupils staring into your soul.

this is gonna be extremely niche but i cant stop thinking about oscar delancey/davey jacobs as a ship (it's the "understanding each other bc they both would do anything for their lil brothers" trope for me) lmao hear me out:

i occasionally see those posts that frame the delancey brothers as the kind of villain characters that are villains bc they're looking out for each other (which i love btw cuz i love complicated contexts); working for wiesel bc their dad is shitty and that's why they were all for beating up the trolley workers etc etc

anyways, so that's the kind of oscar delancey im working with: he's in it bc he's angry at his dad and the world and he's looking out for his brother. btw im using the livesies versions of them! (height difference hehe)

also i've noticed that he's the less aggressive brother? morris is the one that usually gets in the newsies' faces and spouts derogatory language; oscar's the one who stands back more. just works for him in this context.

davey's a new newsie and he catches oscar's eye bc he's cute and is smart (and oscar is not v smart and educated). in newsies 2017 he actually kind of gives davey's back a once over after davey takes his papers lol so you can construe something from there too.

he gets embarrassed for being called out on not counting properly (he was distracted okay)

he's in this position where he knows it's not great to beat on other people but anything is better than getting beat on, and he's doing this so he and his brother can stay out of the house, but he doesnt actually love how morris gets aggressive like that--it's so much like their father.

(morris obviously has issues there too, they just manifest more in the direction of "well this is the lot that's been drawn for my life so why should i be anything else? my father was so shitty, im just gonna turn into him eventually anyways" sort of mentality :( which is a good starting point for one of those mike faist morris fics where he ends up becoming a newsie to support himself differently lol but this is livesies and this hypothetical fic is about oscar anyways)

oscar feels trapped where he is, and he isnt happy, and he's sure there's more to life than beating on other people--especially when they're just kids like him--but he doesnt see a way out that doesnt end in him and morris both getting the worse end of the stick, or separated or something. and he'd never forgive himself if he got separated from morris.

then comes in the cute boy with the tiny brother (and he thinks about how morris used to be smaller than him too), and the cute boy starts a strike to protest their working conditions and he kind of actually... really admires it? but doesnt want to admit it bc theyre on opposite sides and oscar doesnt want to risk the good parts of his life rn, even if they're kinda meagre emotionally--he and his brother have clean clothes and food on the table and their dad's down for the count for a while, ain't no way he's risking that.

so canon happens like it does, and the newsies win, and the delanceys find themselves once more backing up wiesel and helping count the newspapers to give to the newsies for the day and that's where their story really starts, because all the newsies obviously hate him and his brother and oscar hates most of them too but goddamn it he just cant look away from this davey guy

also might be interesting to play with the idea that the delanceys actually live close to where the jacobs live and oscar recognizes him because he always saw davey and les leave for school in the mornings as he was coming back from distributing papes to the newsies

i dont actually know how theyd start seeing eye-to-eye, esp since davey being willing to give oscar even a second of his day seems like a huge hurdle to jump over.

maybe davey's about to get beat up and oscar intervenes against his better judgement, and davey feels obligated to thank him somehow even if oscar doesn't want him to--even thinks it's a bad idea.

maybe after the newsboy strike, the delanceys' prospects get worse bc after the governer steps in, everyone that was after the newsies suddenly gets a bad rap and money starts to dry up, and davey spots oscar giving morris most of his lunch ("c'mon, mo, you're bigger 'an me anyways. ya need ta eat somethin'.") and suddenly davey finds himself empathizing, and very suddenly quite curious about what their deal is anyways. (oh look another opportunity to make morris a newsie)

maybe oscar actually cant read very well and the newsies, most of whom are actually literate enough to read headlines, get news of this and make fun of him every morning about it, and at first it feels vindicating, but then davey starts to feel bad about it.

probably the last straw is when morris actually makes fun of him too (idk maybe morris was able to go to school longer cuz oscar was actually a newsie himself over in queens or brooklyn or something, when he was much younger, when their dad was still mostly decent but their family was poorer)--anyways, morris "teases" in the way siblings do sometimes when they dont realize theyre poking at a tender spot, and that's about it for oscar, and idk if he has meltdown or just quietly implodes, but davey picks up on it and feels bad enough about it that he offers to teach oscar how to read.

which, wouldnt it be interesting if somehow oscar and spot had been friends growing up, maybe sold together as the youngest newsies in brooklyn, but spot never realizes oscar delancey is him cuz he only ever hears about the delancey brothers from race (and jack), and spot only ever knew oscar by his newsie nickname? and his selling buddy moved away a while ago, and he's always been a little concerned cuz in the months before he moved, more and more bruises appeared on his skin, and once spot tried to convince him to run away and stay at the lodging full-time with the rest of the boys, but the kid refused cuz he needed to stay for his kid brother who doesnt know any better... anyways, spot realizing theyre the same guy could be a (sprace) subplot lol.

and then obviously they get to know each other better and davey helps oscar feel not-so-trapped anymore and maybe the newsies end up reluctantly and begrudgingly adopting the delanceys (after a real apology or two or twenty to crutchie, of course, who always got the worst of it from them) and maybe morris comes to realize how much like his father he's become and doesnt want that for himself, and also sees just how misaligned his and oscars goals actually are and idk they all become better and oscar and davey have a relationship that's hard-won but wirth everything

anyways yeah, i do think they'd be an interesting ship lol. oscar/davey!

interesting.... i admit i dont really see how the two would correlate especially given kidous own family situation but maybe im just not understanding this the way you mean it so if you want to elaborate on why you think this i am all ears! as for what i personally think i will be honest i might have something of a controversial understanding of shin teikoku (?) because i genuinely dont think it says anything really significant about sakuma as a character... so im not a huge fan of using shin teikoku as a reference for his characterization or for drawing conclusions about other aspects of his life. but of course that is just me and everyone is free to do whatever they want im not here to police anyone on this.

also do keep in mind that i like the way these events unfold in the game more so thats what my reference is rather than the anime. so maybe we are already speaking about completely different things but here goes. this is long as hell so under a readmore this one goes too

to me shin teikoku doesnt really say much about sakuma and genda as people because so much of the 'issues' it brings to light are relevant on fudous manipulation and literal brainwashing using the aliea meteorite lol. also, the issue in the first place isnt something that is really proper to them or sakuma alone... the feelings fudou exploits to get them to join shin teikoku are something all of teikoku have experienced: the frustration of being stuck in the hospital, their humiliating defeat against zeus making them feel powerless, the slight bitterness about kidou leaving them and the subsequent awkwardness preventing them from staying in contact (they didnt want to be a bother while he was with raimon). even the desire to see through kidous eyes for once instead of just watching his back is something they all have felt--thats the kind of leader kidou was for teikoku, he led by example. he had to be the best to guide everyone else. hes not the kind of captain that walks beside you like endou is.

but the thing is, ultimately, their love of kidou is stronger than any of those negative feelings towards him. the other members of teikoku are fine. they respect kidous decision, even if its a little awkward and they miss him. none of them are self-destructively jealous and resentful of him. not naturally.

to me it could have been anyone from teikoku, because they all felt this way on some level, and they all could have been manipulated into joining shin teikoku (and also, rather than any personal characterization moment or growth, the purpose of having teikoku members in this chapter is more about them being used by kageyama to hurt kidou 🙃).

what fudou does with genda and sakuma is that he pushes and pushes until he pokes at these feelings deep inside, and strikes when theyre shaken and in doubt. genda and sakuma, on some level, worry that kidou abandoned them and that theyre not strong enough. what does fudou do, then? he keeps putting them down, criticizing them when they mess up, insulting them, so they feel even worse about themselves. he keeps insisting that kidou threw them away, that he left them all to rot, that he stabbed them in the back, so they feel actual anger and resentment towards him. coupled with the use of the aliea meteorite to literally brainwash them into doing things they dont want to. (they dont willingly use beast fang and kp1 btw. in sakumas own words, in the brief moment when he breaks free of the aliea brainwashing, "R-run! [Kidou], get out of here! Y-you don't stand a chance if you take him on now... He's going to make us use that special move!")

to come back to the jealousy aspect and wanting to get a taste of kidous power, thats something they admit to only realizing through this whole ordeal. thats not something they consciously felt before. and even then when they briefly broke free of the brainwashing, while they admitted wanting to feel as powerful as kidou, they urged him to flee because they didnt want to hurt him. so even if they ARE jealous in a way, i feel like its more of a "i want to be strong too" thing than a "i want to be better than kidou and stick it to him, specifically" thing, personally? <- im only mentioning this because ive occasionally seen some people talk about shin teikoku in that way kinda and its like. wild to me

if anything i think that arc says a lot more about kidou and his past relationship with the team and how they can change to grow into something more healthy (closing the gap between them by having kidou let them come close to him and for them to stop relying on and admiring him so much. incidentally, this is pretty much exactly what happens to kidou and sakuma in ie3! they are much more like actual close friends now, with no invisible line drawn between them!) than sakuma and genda themselves.

errrm all in all i dont think sakuma ever was particularly jealous of kidou out of shin teikoku or at least not any more than the others. his feelings just were taken advantage of and exploited by fudou and kageyama. also, the brainwashing is a huge part of it and i wish people acknowledged that more. sorry for going on a massive tangent about shin teikoku like this over this one short ask thats something ive always wanted to talk about in some way and well this was the occasion !

Yuki chan! Great So aiba eirika has been missing for weeks knew she was sus with tamao's face

In hindsight i should have progressed natsuno sooner a lot of things make more sense now like how miura got to 1985 and the sentinel takamiya's story was just talking about. Two kisaragis... Wait is that android kisaragi that ida lobotomized for having a panic attack and being uncontrollable. robot girl fight. So that is tamao, kinda. "Erika aiba" that was shadowing takamiya yuki is the kurabe tamao AI that ida made. And 426 is android kisaragi that has gone rogue and now has a grudge against ida. 426 won the robot fight and body jacked tamaobot. Poor bj has gone through the most out of the entire cast. Yup second miura confirmation. Android kisarsgi says natsuno is the new kaiju commander and that natsuno will be taking orders from her now and shoots her with nanomachines. Hmm memory loss the magic gun strikes again. Assuming 426 is still in tamaobot they tampered with bj again, and is also the eirika aiba tailing yuki (before the robot fight i assumed it was ida keeping rabs on her). "In the final phase of the [Ark] project humanity will be restarted", the final phase was what og shinonome wanted to sabotage and loop. Og ohata is gouto's son, wow theres a lot of divorce in 2188. Love that. I did remeber from last year that bj was miura but i dont remember which miura he is

It took me a while to figure out maybe 5 or 6 characters but these stories are mostly linear. The charts are misleading in that there isn't really a beaching story the endpoints are usually unlocked sequentially as though clouds are unlocked in previous routes. Most of the character routes even say that this isnt a timeloop (minus ogata who actually is in a timeloop but his story js still sequential) its a new day in the character's routine for each path.

The iori gaslighting lol nah youre crazy it was just a dream. Oh right i learned all her weird dreams are from morimura's or "morimura"s memory transplant experiments. Just the sheer number of morimura running around and the multiple identities and bodies i love this story i hate keeping track of things in this story. Did professor morimura lose her compatibility because of iori? Damn iori cute boy threatens you a gunpoint and grabs you by the shirt and you start spilling your deepest secrets without reservation. Hmm but if all those were the memories of one lifetime why's there an older juro? Or was that someone else dream. Btw i love that shu, juro, and iori a e a weird dream club they'd totally have a group chat about it. The morimura on console with gouto didnt recognize fuyusaka that's more evidence she's a different person than nurse morimura. Im still confused whats new. But hey juro and iori were lovers, this game is more romance heavy than i thought it would be. So the two tried to stop the interstellar project by bombing, failed, morimura died maybe and rhen 16 year younger morinura traveled forward to 2097 to kill juro. Probably not 1v1 but theres 3 of you you totally could have beat up wajima. Starting to think wajima likes taking a pounding, he really is asking for it most of the time, his entire role in the story is to act out of line and then get beat up for that. Well, fuyusaka's not short on bravery. Girl you do not know him you fell in love with the idea of love you've spent 10 min tops with him.

Sekigahara: i dont remember what was going on in your story... Oh yeah that convo about closing the loop, that was before the disaster battle were ei' sentinel got jacked by 426 and morimura emergency ejected the pilots to the different sectors. So there were loops before that, i cant keep this all straight damn my poor memory. Oh so it was ida that made the sentinels go rogue in the battle of 2065 because he bargained ryuko's safety with ei and was trying to undermine morimura. Did he just lie about 426. Ei is clearly the scapegoat. When aegis activates shifting is disabled and all those from other sectors are permanently stuck. Still no clue about the whole time descends into chaos thing. What im assuming is kisaragibot tells sekigahara that he's infected with code dd-426 which is cutting off some of his nanomachines and causing memory related brain damage (shinonome is probably the same). Wonder how nurse morimura ties into this. 20% transplant rate? Was nurse morimura trying to made ida#2 with amiguchi? So the one in ogata's story searching for the d-code key is okino. Okino purposefully infected themself with dd-426 to try and use it to detached the d-code and wiped his own memory. Okino is WILD backed up his memory and personality onto an AI and then ran that AI and overrode his own brain. Okino causes problems on purpose Tsukasa. The cat better not be the universal control system or stomething. Bj miura was the sentinel 17's AI before getting shoved into the little drone. 18 can only be operated by ai ... Who has 18 now man i really need to memorize these. Uh 18 is 3rd gen? Kisaragi? 1944 miura? Hmm so 17 was also one of the previously "automated" sentinels makes me wonder how sentient the others were. Ok ai miura definitely isnt from 2188 then. My memory is failing me has natsuno met sekigahara yet?

Ogata: back to the timeloop mines: found ei and ryoko collapsed and he had dd-426 in his hand. Ida calls the 15 commanders on the d forces, 13 +okino who is the 15th? Tamao? Yeah it is okino on the other end of the line. Lol they kidnapped ogata and tied him to a chair in an abandoned warehouse. Wrong genre! 1 out of the 15 is broadcasting the kaiju signals, wasnt that ogata? One of the scenes earlier said who it was .. was ogata up until 2 months ago.

Yay I finally get to do hijiyama's. I find this route to be one of the most entertaining because okino is just running mental circles around hijiyama. This story is so funny all the jocks are here. okino giving the most fake lackluster bored sounding love confession i've ever heard and ogata falling for it like "damn i'm a stud" and then hijiyama is off to the side have a crisis collapsed on the ground because he's that down bad over okino. Yeah he would be a sub for okino, wants to be bullied. ...the files reveal that tying hijiyama to the chair was literally just to toy with him since okino already knew what was in his brain from previously adjusting code.

Yakushiji: fluffy says 1944 miura has immunity to dd426 because of the component surgically embedded into his forehead that "forces him to use magic". Mr. Kitty controls the tv the one thing that idol had to work around, my wild guess is still kitty cat is universal control. So only she can see fluffy and fluffy is maybe mimicking the appearance of the actual school cat. Gotta say megumi's story is probably my least favorite so far.

Kurabe: shiba not existing to anyone else is not a twist i was expecting. 48q qta_cba those were the nanomachines being administered to kurabe! Its to make shiba the artificial personality. Wait they were trying to reintroduce izumi's memories? That means yakushiji was doing all that for nothing. And shiba is izumi? This part lost me. I get i remembered right the izumi morimura and shiba are trying to resurrect isnt the one from ... Idk Yakushiji's boyfriend, they're trying to resurrect an earlier iteration izumi. The izumi okino and fuyusaka from visitor from another world seem to be from 2104. That 16 year gap has been bothering me for weeks but its sector 0 why are all the other shifts 40 years. But 2104 to 2088. Something oh didnt ida timetravel back and meet morimura on that bridge, two overlapping events.doomed timeline so it is a different iteration! Also terrorist izumi might be 426. Which would explain the statements gouto said about nurse morimura working with them.

Gonna try and finish fuyusaka's story. Oh great there's another one. Now we have nurse morimura, child professor morimura, catsuit morimura, and fuyusaka all in 1984. Oh catsuit is nurse morimura she just changed her clothes. Wait but didnt sekigahara kill her. So there's just been 2 izumis runnin around this whole time 426 and pilot kid. Still not clear on the reset mechanic i thought i understood it but kept getting confused maybe im overthinking it. Nurse morinura is an illusion made by universal control... More evidence for the matrix hypothesis or i suppose with advanced enough production facilities and control there is no difference between the matrix and reality. Going to sector 0 doesnt save you from a reset it scans a person as data and recreates them in the new world. Aegis cuts the world off from universal control. So in the final battle iori is using ei's sentinel, but he's there so where did he get that gen1 guess i'll find out. Im just realizing iori spent all her time chasing ei and didnt actually learn much compared to the other characters.

Summary - Genshin characters playing laser tag with you their s/o.

A/N - Added in Scaramouche- But I couldn’t think of anything for Xingqiu. I can surprisingly see the majority of the Genshin boys being good at wielding guns, even though they’d probably suck lol

Laser Tag

Childe

Childe is a beast.

Whether it’s in the terrain of his battlefield, or the streets of Liyue playing laser tag, Childe plays to win. He’s always been the competitive type, enjoying the thrill of battle, or in this case, laser tag.

He loves the game.

And of course, you just have to end up on the opposite team as him.

This game is the perfect setup for an enemies to lovers kind of vibe btw. With him shooting at your comrades and eliminating them from left to right, and you doing the same for his team. Very few people stand against him in this game, and his accuracy and sense of battle.

The two of you will spend the entirety of the game playing cat and mouse. Childe chasing after you while you simply escape his sights every time, taking down his teammates while you’re at it.

Childe isn’t as interested in winning, and once you prove to be worthy of a decent laser tag battle, he tries his best to force you to confront him.

Of course you on the other hand take his reckless behaviour to your advantage to turn the game in your favour and strike down his team. You know it’ll piss him off later when you win.

However, it Childe does manage to catch you…

The two of you will fight, that much is obvious. Dodging and attacking him, he will get very into it. Maybe a little too much, but you don’t give in, not until the very end.

Not until he’s on top of you, the two of you toppled over a bunch of hay that cushions your fall when he crashes into you. Not until he’s holding the plastic revolver against your temple, staring straight into your eyes with his signature smirk.

He might sneak a little kiss in there just to throw you off.

But in the end he will make sure he wins, or rather, he eliminates you. He doesn’t care if he doesn’t win the entirety of the game, taking you down was satisfactory enough, and he feels well accomplished and content after.

Would definitely rub it in your face.

If you brush it off as something you didn’t really try in, be prepared to be pinned against the wall and kissed until you admit that you were in fact, doing your best. And yes, he won fair and square.

Bennett

Omg this precious boy-

Bennett will try his hardest, stick by your side and shoot at any approaching target. Considering that the two of you are on the same team, he will promise to protect you.

With one problem.

No matter how well he aims, whether it is going to hit his target or not, the lazer disagrees. Rather, his terrible luck absolutely ruins it and somehow his lazer point ends up somewhere completely else.

“It changed its direction completely!”

Well… you never know, maybe it’s the gun that sends the lazers ray so far off, but considering it’s Bennett, you know it’s no coincidence.

So you end up protecting him.

Dragging him from place to place and shooting down your opponents, the two of you spend your time tripping over random large ass rocks ( with only Bennett’s terrible luck to blame ) and attacking opponents.

You make sure that Bennett is not shot, no matter what. And you give everyone else a terrible glare that basically screams that if they shoot him, they’ll face your wrath.

Nobody shoots Bennett.

By the end of the game, he’ll be grinning ear to ear. And even if he didn’t manage to eliminate anyone, he’ll boast about how his amazing dodging skills pulled him through the game. You’ll agree, lacing an arm around his shoulders and pulling him to the good Hunter to get a good meal.

Just to buy one though, the poor boy can’t cook for his life.

Razor

“Razor… very confused.”

The wolf boy has difficulty with the rules of the game, but the concept of pointing the gun at an opponent and shooting them with a lazer isn’t too hard to grasp.

You find out very quickly that Razor is actually pretty good with aim.

His hands don’t shake for one, and he is so adept to his surroundings that people struggle finding the source of their depleting health. Despite being overall confused at how to play, Razor easily becomes one of the main players taking opponents down.

As someone on his team, he makes sure to keep you by his side the entire time. He understands the elimination part, and he doesn’t want his lupical to get taken out, even if it’s a game.

He can be oddly affectionate at certain times, pushing your face against his chest as he takes out the remaining players in the field you both are in. He will carry you, and take no hesitation when pulling you out of the way, even if it’s a little too rough.

When the game ends, it might take a while to explain to the poor boy that your team won. And that it was a good thing.

Razor will begin to smile when he notices how content you are with it.

Chongyun

This man has the audacity to wield a gun while licking his ‘popsicle.’

Like goddamnit Chongyun, being good at shooting is already a flex, you don’t have to nibble at your popsicle while you’re at it.

You can’t really blame him though, it’s hot outside, and with the sun beaming down on the poor boy's head you know he can’t stand it. Especially with all the adrenaline and yells from opposing teams.

As someone on the same team as him, you take on the job of Chongyun’s personal popsicle restocker, and shooting anyone down once he gets tired. As good as the boy is at shooting, he sucks at keeping himself unknown to the other players.

So you take on the job to make sure they don’t shoot him down.

The two of you are a good team, and if it gets too hot, Chongyun might even let you have one of his popsicles. Of course you don’t have his talent of being able to shoot while having a popsicle in your mouth-

Your team will end up losing though, and even though Chongyun isn’t bothered, he will be slightly worried if you care. The two of you were obviously trying your best, and as long as you both had fun that’s all that matters to him.

But if it really bothers you that much…

He knows you feel comforted by physical contact, so he’ll hold your hand and offer a comforting smile. Tell you that you played well, and that he had fun.

That cheers you up right away.

Kiss him on the cheek please, even though he will flinch at the contact, his cheeks are flushed red and he won’t admit it. But he likes it.

Albedo

Why is it so easy to picture Albedo as a hot sexy stoic mafioso wielding a gun?

Anyways, Albedo is terribly good at wielding a gun. So good at that he only holds the plastic revolver with one hand, never missing a shot as he walks down the streets of Monstadt.

He knows the area well, so good luck trying to sneak up on him. The way his eyes so carelessly sweep the buildings, it hardly looks like he’s trying. Eliminating players with his lasers as he mindlessly strides past the fountain.

Of course, you’re against him.

Albedo isn’t really motivated to play, he’d rather be in his lab experimenting or recording down his discoveries. But he was dragged into this mess, he might as well play his part and support his team.

Albedo won’t hesitate to shoot at you and take you down.

As much as you may be important to you, he plays this game fair and square. He will take you down, or rather, he will try, because you get creative :)

He knows Monstadt well, but he can’t possibly keep his eye on all angles around him. So you’ll aim for his blind spots, throw yourself at him and tackle him to the ground. Simply eliminating him isnt satisfying enough, you need more.

So you turn this into a little game to fluster him.

Tackle him and pin him down, watch him scramble for the gun and then give him a peck on the lips. Watch as his grip loosens, and one of his hands instinctively come to nestle against your hair to pull you closer, and then you pull away.

Watching his idle confusement turn into a light blush on his cheeks is just too good, and how he grows even redder when you start laughing is even better.

Of course his team wins, not that he cares.

The minute the game ends he’s back in his office, conducting experiments. You can go interrupt him though, sneak into his office and press a kiss against his neck. He doesn’t often react or do much to it, but after your linger kiss at the game, he will pull you close and sit you on his lap. Have a proper make out session after you left him hanging with that peck earlier ;)

Scaramouche

This little man is ‘terrifying’.

It’s scary enough that whether you’re against him or on the same team as him, you keep your distance.

“Are you avoiding me Y/n?”

You play on the same team, and even if he’s your boyfriend, you know better than to stay too close when it comes to battle. He shows his cruelty, and you really weren’t looking forward to be put in the middle of that.

‘Unfortunately you didn’t have a choice-‘

Scaramouche will literally drag you, a hand looped around your waist to tug you to his side and take you along with him as he takes down opponents after opponents. He doesn’t ask for your praise, but you still give him it knowing he appreciates it. Mentally.

When he’s tired or bored, he will lean his head on your shoulder, wait there for a bit before jumping back up and shooting a random straggler on the sides. Heavens knows how the boy knows he was there, it’s like he has some sixth sense.

We don’t even want to get into his accuracy and precision, Scaramouche is born a mafioso.

At the end when your team wins, no surprise, give him a hug. Tell him he did well and even if he tries to push away, hold him tight. Even though he could easily pull your arms away if he wanted to, he’ll just pretend to give a little struggle and then give in to your warmth.

a really long and slightly unhinged thoughts and feelings dump about tales of vesperia: first strike 

love these frames a lot actually bc you can immediately see the tone being set for both of their characters. flynn being extremely serious and determined and yuri just looking bored, straight away showing how being here isnt really for him. even down to the little detail of his collar being unbuttoned, he does not belong here. 

followed by a montage of essentially, yuri just following flynn. its such a simple narrative device but it works so great to displace him. always a step behind flynn, really demonstrating how right now he isnt following his own path but is instead being led along. 

i think the movie very blatantly sets up how it will be a journey of both of them growing up. i actually really love how it manages to place yuri as a clear protagonist yet manages to be pretty equally about him and flynn with an overarching arch about the greater world story. 

very soon thereafter yuri is practically thrown into a position where he has to grow up. forced to kill off a shell of his comrade and also live with that guilt as he now has to repent and take responsibility. his attitude towards repede changes from seeing him as a nuisance to actively caring for him, checking up on him in the middle of the night, and overfeeding him to fill the hole in his heart (lmao) 

this part gets to me because up until now we have mostly just seen them bicker and argue and i think here this was yuri genuinely trying to reach out and seek support but instead ends up being faced with hostility which leads to their major clash. which btw is my fav part of the movie. i think this escalation works really well for them 

and to be exact this is probably my favourite line of the movie. yuri deliberately provoking flynn to get him to be fucking real and stop pretending. kinda raw imo. like he’d rather get the shit beaten out of him and it be genuine than have to watch flynn try to upkeep his little fake persona 

that being said i dont think his persona is fully just him being fake. i think he’s carrying a lot of baggage and trauma throughout this movie. all the repressed anger and desire to uphold ideals. be the perfect knight follow the orders, thats right. straying from orders and acting on your own gets you killed. its an internal struggle. a desire for things to be simple, black and white, etc

i think this is one of the reasons why i ended up liking the movie so much, i just feel like it adds a lot of depth to flynn’s character. in the game story line he’s fairly put together - neat and proper. but in fs he’s just oh so god damn angry and immature, as expected of a growing up storyline. but nonetheless, i just love seeing him in this conflicted enraged state. and i think it adds more gravitas to his character in the game as we now know composure doesnt come naturally to him and he had his own issues to resolve and grapple with before he could become this reliable ‘boring’ character he is in the game 

meanwhile yuri receives a somewhat contrasting lesson. if you want to protect things dear to you, you need to take matters into your own hands. he’s learnt this first hand and it is now being reaffirmed, it could be argued that repede is the first thing he has wanted to protect

this i include because i thin its a very clear signifier to the change in his character. yuri at the start of this movie is very laid back, goofy, playful doesnt really wanna be there. but now he is forced to grapple with the concept of morality, sacrifice and choice. he becomes an active participant in the knight’s mission, really pushing for it and supporting the cause. he joins the knights because he has ‘nothing better to do’ but now he is learning about the importance of protecting others, and treasuring those dear to you. 

and then he loses another friend. although this sacrifice is not in vain as it is for the good of the people, he’s still forced into a position where he in essence has to let someone dear to him die. this film is extremely brutal in showing yuri how unfair the world is, and forces him to make a lot of tough choices. which i think very clearly then reflect in the game story line, these choices he’s being forced to make here reflect the ones he makes in the game

in his own way flynn is also learning about sacrifice, and how it isnt always meaningless. he is first hand seeing how fredrock’s actions have impacted the common people. because he took a risk, these people now live. its a bittersweet lesson but i think her flynn can finally let go of some of the baggage he has been holding onto in regards to his dad. it teaches him the kind of knight he wants to be and reinforces what matters the most - people. 

finally, in juxtaposition with their arguing and bickering at the start of the movie they are finally able to look at each other earnestly, and be honest with one another. they finally grew up and can acknowledge their own strengths, and take their own paths knowing that each is searching for his own way to make the world better. they are forever bonded by their experiences.  

in contrast to the opening montage, by the end of the movie yuri walks past flynn not even looking back. finally ready to take his own path 

some closing thoughts mostly shippy thoughts:

i think what i really liked about the movie is that prior to it i had a fairly two dimensional headcanon of their relationship, with flynn just being a simp for yuri, and yuri just being an easy going guy and accepting that love. (again this is just a headcanon i built in my head). a very giver receiver type deal. but in the movie i feel like flynn is just so angry?? he’s just so mad at the world and doesnt know how to navigate his emotions. and while they clearly have a history they almost dont get along? or more like, they know each other incredibly well but they’re not really understanding each other 

so while at first my head canon for them was pretty unbalanced i think the movie essentially just added depth to them as characters and balanced out their dynamic for me. knowing yuri had to deal with this angry bratty flynn puts them on a more equal footing for me when flynn has to deal with all of yuri’s bs 

because i think it’s true of real relationships that at different times different parties will be more on the giver or receiver end, meeting each other’s needs and being there for each other. so when i didn’t have this backstory for yuri really coming through for flynn (like, sticking with him and helping him understand his dads death wasnt in vain ultimately helping him overcome his trauma). before this the relationship in my head almost felt one sided or as if one liked the other a lot more. but yeah i think yuris words and actions in first strike really demonstrate the depth of their relationship and how much he really does care for flynn

and now i just find it interesting navigating their relationship with all this prior knowledge because i think a lot of depth can be now added to small actions and situations. navigating this push and pull and thinking about how their relationship would organically develop. because i think it’s not until the end of the movie where they sort of end up on the same page again and can move forward, but then how do they go from that to a romantic/ sexual relationship etc

HI I FORGTO TO POST THIS UM ANWA S i am thinking about the besties (six mono rk and rcg obviously) and i wanted to write down a little. a little thing abt their relationships idk what to call this i am just thinking (this is all my personal thoughts btw u dont have to agree with anything i say but feel free 2 give some of ur own input :] )

OK SO this is sort of long(?) so haha 

starting with six; six’s closest buddy is (obviously) mono; they’re basically inseperable and may as well be attached at the side at this point. if you see one and not the other then Run because the other is behind you probably /j because six has never felt as though she has a safe space, she often considers mono her home, whether she realises it or not, and mono feels a similar way they go to each other for help and can communicate sometimes without words, theyre both happy to tolerate each other and theres clearly a bond between them you could see from a mile away. they rarely get seriously upset with each other and when they do they find a comfortable way to work it out. six would probably kill for mono, and he’d gladly die for her in return, even when none of them outright admit it. mono is one of the only people six actually talks to, and the only person allowed to touch her. on top of just being great friends that do truly care for each other in their own ways, they’re also an amazing duo that are great alone but are close to unstoppable together; they both have their own strengths that almost perfectly balance each other out, even when their differences sometimes get in the way, and theres really no situation they cant get out of as a team

next in line is rcg (i will refer 2 her as sandy to make this easier and because i think that is a cute name for her); sandy is like six’s older sister (tbh she is everyones older sister) and theyre both on pretty good terms with each other, shes pretty comfortable with sandy and trusts her a decent amount, if mono isnt around six wont hesitate to come to sandy for help and sandy will happily oblige :] six doesnt say it much but she appreciates that sandy is there to help and puts up with sixs sometimes unruly behavior and overall shenanigans, while sandys glad she can be a sort of guardian figure for six (and most of the other kids) and she finds the trust that the two of them are carefully forming is a great reward (six let her braid parts of her hair once and sandy was so honored, it has never happened again but sandy is determined that it will) last but not least is six’s relationship with rk; they don’t get along the best, and it probably would take a while to get them to really interact, and they definitely like to bicker or poke fun at each other from across the room but eventually, overall they tend to really just stay out of each others business. this proves 2 be hard sometimes though as they are kind of now in the same friend group (playable characters gang!!!!! *partying face emoji*) 

despite this theres still quite a few things they can bond over, and theyre both pretty comfortable in the sort of “frenemy” spot. most of the time they really dont mind situations where they have to team up together and just get along for a while, even if they still bully each other throughout  nowwww time for mono!!!!!!!!!!!  right away six is his best friend, like i said before theyre basically the same person except for the fact that theyre sort of total opposites he just adores her, thinks she is the absolute coolest and is always willing to give her his undivided attention. will obviously tell her off when needed but he’s always gentle and patient with her, and is always on her side, and six lets him know in her own way that she appreciates him greatly he loves to drag her into his activities and make sure shes included like i said before hes always patient with her, and makes sure she’s comfortable, for example when he goes to hug her (or just touch her at all) he’ll wait for a sign from her saying its okay; and if she’d rather be left alone he just sits with her and waits, ready for whenever she needs him for basically anything, and six always does the same for him

next is rcg/sandy!!!! like basically everyone else, he sees her sort of as an older sister, and appreciates her helping out with six’s shenanigans and being there for six when he isnt able to, even for a little bit. they actually make a pretty good team as well, and have tons in common. both of them love trying out new things and usually make plans together, and sandys happy to let him talk whenever he wants; whether he’s ranting, infodumping, or just bored and looking to strike up conversation, shes there to chat with!! also he loves her hugs because she always picks him up and spins him around  and again rk!!!! the two of them arent very close but still pretty friendly with each other and always manage to find things to talk about whenever theyre together, mono is always ecstatic to learn more about the nomes and rk happily shares his knowledge mono is also always trying to find ways to bring rk and six closer together, but always respects their boundaries, and rk appreciates it all tons now for sandy/rcg *evilly rubs my paws together*  starting with rk! dead buddies ahaha anyways like ive pointed out multiple times rcg sees the others as siblings, and rk is no exception! the two of them spend tons of time together, playing games usually with their nome friends!! sandy often drags him into doing things with her especially when shes trying out something new shes always happy to be there for him whenever he gets nervous about something (which. kinda happens a lot) and rk is there to comfort her in return when needed they share things with each other a lot, whether its information or physical objects or literally anything, they always feel the need to share it with the other  now six!! sandy is absolutely stoked to have a younger sister and six enjoys having an older sister as well sandy is always there for six whenever she needs something, and is working hard to gain her trust; she always gets excited whenever six wants to do something together, which in turn often makes six feel appreciated   i@dont even know what else to put here she just?? takes care of her very well ! she loves to tease six but always makes sure not to go over the line (kinda applies 2 everyone else aswell) mono!!! sandy adores his attitude and loves chatting with him, theres always something new to talk abt with him! they also have an unspoken “must protect six” code n chat about her a lot (all good things obviously)  even if they dont hang out too much she always has fun hangin out w him or getting together to plan stuff !!  i probably shouldve formatted this better bc ivre kind of already written rks relationship with everyone else but here we go anyways

rk and sandy!! rk is probably closest to her (and the nomes ofc) and just overall spends a lot of time around her, no matter what he’s doing he loves crafts, and sandy is always glad to join in making things, sometimes they make stuff for eachother  they also help out the nomes a lot together!! they make lil shelters/forts for them, sometimes for fun out of pillows and blankets and other times theyre more stable things, or, more often, they help clean out holes in the walls to make them liveable now mono!! rk loves to share his knowledge of the nomes with him, and they bond over other things too; for example both of them are interested in bugs :] actually they both adore most animals and rk is sure to let mono know whenever he finds a cool creature! rk also appreciates that mono tries to help six and rk become a little closer, as usually his schemes are harmless, whether they work or not  aaaand six! like i said before theyre not the best of friends and poke fun at eachother a lot, but when they need to team up they’ll somewhat tolerate each other. as much as he wants to, rk finds it hard to forgive six for yknow. eating him. six refuses to be very open about her side of the story, or atleast parts, which makes it a little harder, but theyre working on it and eventually they can atleast tolerate each other on top of that though, theyre also sort of opposites; rk thinks six is just mean and unruly, meanwhile six thinks rk is too soft and somewhat of a doormat  but again. overall they learn to put up with each other (barely)

- i actually liked drew. im so sorry to everyone who hates her but full offence, why. think about it this way ok, first of all drew became hc because silena died. silena was the traitor, the one who betrayed chb, yet after she died campers celebrated her as a hero? and then drew suddenly has to replace her and live up to idk that legacy she left behind,, when all of a sudden this girl named piper swoops in and takes her place. idk abt u but i wld be salty abt that too. not only that, but as an asian, the chances of drew having faced racism/bullying as a child is pretty high (she studies at brooklyn academy). which means that when she finds out shes a demigod, and arrives at chb where most of the campers are white (this is an assumption btw), she’d obviously be scared of being bullied for her skin color right?? so the first thing she wld do before the campers get to bully her is to bully them before they can do so. (sentence structure here is wack i apologize) ofc this might not even have happened, drew could have had a perfect childhood && was a b1tch for no reason, BUT EVEN THEN HER ROLE AS A BULLY WAS PRETTY VITAL BECAUSE THAT FURTHER SHOWED THE CONTRAST BETWEEN HER AND PIPER,, HIGHLIGHTING PIPER AS A HERO//GOOD CHARACTER,, AND THEREFORE MAKING READERS LIKE PIPER MORE. anyway stop hating on drew please. AND THEN GREEK DEMIGODS COME TO CJ AND ONE OF THEM BOMB IT UP?? octavian has been told all his life that greeks are scum and this dude called leo valdez attacks cj. sure it was an accident, but did octavian know that? no. so it was honestly justified that he was such a salty prick im just saying. also some of yall be hating on octavian for cutting a teddy bear open and thats the funniest shit ive ever heard i swear

- travis and connor stoll r way too underrated. the two have been head counselors of the hermes cabin since luke was revealed as a traitor, can u imagine the stress? luke, the person they probably looked up to as a brother, betrayed them. and they didnt even have time to process this when they were  thrown the roles of being hcs. that would have been so stressful and i would probably have broken down if i were them. the stoll brothers taking turns to wake up at ungodly hours because a new camper is crying and homesick and terrified, the stoll brothers having to comfort and take care of new campers, having to deal with the amount of people in that cramped space because not enough campers are being claimed fast enough. having to resolve issues between campers in the hermes cabin all the time. the stolls arent just comedic relief, and we need to stop treating them as such

- carter kane and jason grace arent boring. theyre just really sweet boys who are too good for this world and yes yes yes 

- hazel and frank (especially frank) need to be hyped up more. i hardly ever see anything about them. also yall seem to forget that frank was literally made praetor and that even hecate admired hazel and was willing to fight beside her because of how powerful she was

- frazels age gap is kinda sketch but i still think theyre really cute

- annabeth isnt smarter than leo but neither is leo smarter than annabeth. ive seen a lot of discussions about who is smarter and heres my hot take on it: neither. theyre equally smart, just in different ways. leos a genius mathematically speaking. he has no issues solving math problems meant for people much, much older than him. annabeth on the otherhand, is great at strategies etc. she can make an army of 1000 more powerful than the enemy, even if theyre outnumbered. so in my opinion, both are equally as smart//u cant compare their intelligence, because their talents lie in two different areas.

- while i do agree rick riordan isnt a god and that hes bound to make mistakes,, AND that hes given us a lot of representation,, if the representation offends the people its sposed to represent, then theres a problem. im talking about piper as a poc and wearing feathers in her hair. im not a poc, so i cant speak for them on whether or not its wrong, because i dont know either. HOWEVER, i have seen multiple posts BY pocs talking about how they didnt really like rick’s representation of piper, and thats an issue. pocs have been and are still oppressed and discriminated against by many. as a white cis man, we cant really blame him for not knowing (tho he could have done a research,, asked some pocs,, idk), but by representing pocs in that manner, hes influencing impressionable kids/teens into thinking “oh pocs wear feathers in their hair all the time” etc, which isnt true. the pjo/hoo series is extremely successful, and kids who read the books will probably start forming inaccurate opinions on pocs. the amount of fan art that depicts piper with feathers in her hair dont help either. “but rick said so in the books, so its canon” yeah well rick isnt a god and he can get some things wrong at times. im not saying we should cancel him, im saying we should start educating ourselves and not spread false info like pocs wearing feathers in their hair all the time. also that snake song shit where she sang Summertime was just- yeah. bc heres the thing you can be racist, and still include minorities, but portray them in a racist way. And even then, ignorance isn't a thing to admire. Getting those facts wrong still has a major impact. It continues to perpetuate racist stereotypes.

- the fact that most of the strong female characters in the series refuse to be “girly”, and ngl i dont really like that. just because ure girly doesnt mean u cant be strong. 

- piper would have been a great way for him to start making the strong characters act girlier, but instead he went with the “I’m not like other girls” trope which is quite obnoxious to hear constantly, and I don’t think it’s necessarily great for younger girls to read that idea growing up.  the closest we've ever had to a strong female character who was also into "girly" things was Silena. when I was younger I admired Piper's "I'm not like other girls" thing, but then I got older and realized that the whole mentality of "not like other girls" is super obnoxious, and a little bit toxic

Evil Hollyleaf AU

Guess who made another AU?? That's right, this gal

This time it's with one of my favourite characters, Hollyleaf, so lets waste no time and get into it

In this AU everything is normal up until the fire scene, the truth comes out and Holly is beyond crushed. She spent her whole life living by the warrior code to find out not only is her existence against the warrior, but medicine cat code as well. This breaks Holly and after the fire she finds Ashfur and asks to have a talk, and discusses how she wishes to make Squirrelflights a living hell so she can pay to lying to her for so long, Ash happily agrees and so they join together, hatching their plan.

First off they decide they want to tell the truth, so agree on announcing it at the gathering. They decide Ashfur will do it while Holly sits silently. As the truth is being told and chaos ensues, Holly catches Leafpool running away, and she decides to take the next step. Holly sneaks her way into the camp and into the medicine den, and asks Leafpool to eat the berries, when Leafpool gives her speech about living is worse for her Holly informs her she isn't the one who she wants to hurt, and pins Leaf down, forcing the death berries into her mouth, running off as Squirrel enters the den, and the clan decides Leafpool took her own life out of grief. 

Holly and Ash take great pleasure in seeing their chaos they've made. They're next order of business is Firestar, Ash had gotten one of his lives before with fox traps, but Brambleclaw interrupted, but this time they'd make sure Bramble would never know, they decided to use the fox trap again and kill Firestar as many times as it takes, and that Holly will "Find Ash" and they'll get him banished. They're mission is successful, and due to Hollys loyalty, and turning Ash in, Bramble makes her deputy, even if he is still bitter over her not being his. This works perfectly for Holly.

At some point Holly falls ill and is in the medicine den for awhile, and Jayfeather enters her memories, only to find what she's being doing, and plotting. Jayfeather is horrified but Holly points out that she's his sister, they have no real parents, they were lied to. Is he really going to rat her out? This scares Jayfeather into silence, giving Holly a new scene of control and confidence knowing Jay wont speak up in fear of one of his only family leaving.

Ash and Hollys next move is starting war between Thunderclan and Windclan, tensions are high, and now is perfect, they find Crowfeather and convince him Bramble killed his long lost lover, Leafpool, this out rages Crow and he gets in a fight with Bramble, taking one of his lives and Crow loosing his own, not what the two planned but it worked perfect, not only had Squirrels ex mate lost a life, a friend had lost his only life. Holly watched silently as Bramble lost lives, and planned with Ash, only to hear the news of the great battle, and knew her next steps. In the battle Holly had 2 targets, Tawnypelt, Brambles sister and Squirrels friend,and Bramblestar. With the help of Ashfur they take down Tawny, and during the battle, Holly convinces Hawkfrost to kill Bramble with their help. Hawkfrost pretends to go to kill Holly and Bramble steps in, as he's about to attack Hawkfrost Holly and Ash pin him down, as Hawk kills his half brother, taking his last life.

As the battle ends Thunderclan realises Bramblestar is dead, and that Holly is the new leader. Jayfeather reluctantly takes his sister to the moonpool where she gets her 9 lives, and as she returns her 1st act is to rejoin Ashfur into the clan and appoint him deputy, and anyone who disagrees can leave. The clan all stays silent, though not happy. The two finally have Thuderclan, and have made Squirrleflights life a living hell, but Holly isnt done. She catches Squirrel alone at the river, and strikes, telling her how all her friends deaths are her fault, and she deserves it as she kills her. Holly drags her back crying, yowling how she attacked first, and acting broken. As she retreats to her den Ash asks if its true and Holly laughs, saying of course it wasnt, that Holly just killed her, Ash is appalled, he didn't want Squirrel to die!He threatens to tell everyone until Holly steps in front of him, reminding him that he helped her do all this, and that she would kill him next. Ash, in shock, backs down and stays silent, in fear under Hollys control. She has successfully lured her brother and deputy into silence, and no cat is of the wiser, she is the leader, and nothing can change that, and she will punish any rule breaker..

SO yeah thats my long as hell AU lol, just wanted  to make an evil Holly AU where she teams up with Ash, and accidentally turned it into her becoming full evil and scaring cats into silence of her crims

She 100% goes to the dark forest btw and dosent understand why
