Bone Health: The Hidden Benefits of Weightlifting for Stronger Bones
When we contemplate weightlifting, our minds often conjure images of bulging muscles and impressive strength gains. However, there's a facet of weightlifting that frequently escapes our attention – its profound influence on bone health. In this article, we shall embark on a journey to uncover the concealed advantages of weightlifting for enhancing bone strength. We'll provide answers to pivotal questions and delve into the intricate connection between weightlifting and the health of our bones.
Does Lifting Weights Strengthen Your Bones?
Weightlifting isn't solely about sculpting muscle and achieving physical strength; it also plays a pivotal role in fortifying your bones. The process behind this phenomenon is both fascinating and crucial for understanding the benefits of weightlifting.
When you engage in weightlifting, you subject your bones to a unique kind of stress. This stress isn't detrimental but rather an essential component of the process. As your muscles contract and exert force against resistance, your bones must adapt to this increased stress. In response, the bone-forming cells, known as osteoblasts, become more active. These diligent workers within your body's framework start to create new bone tissue, thus enhancing bone density.
Bone density is a critical factor in bone health, as it determines the strength and resilience of your bones. Higher bone density means that your bones are less likely to break or fracture, making them better equipped to endure the test of time. This adaptation to stress and increased bone density is one of the most significant and often overlooked benefits of weightlifting.
Regularly engaging in weightlifting exercises, such as squats, deadlifts, or bench presses, is like sending a signal to your bones that they need to become stronger to meet the demands of your workouts. This adaptive response results in denser, more robust bones, safeguarding your overall bone health. So, if you've ever wondered if lifting weights could genuinely make your bones stronger, the answer is a resounding yes. It's not just about gaining muscle; it's about investing in the long-term health and resilience of your skeletal structure.
Can Weight Lifting Reverse Osteoporosis?
Osteoporosis, a term that often conjures images of fragile bones and the elderly, is indeed a concerning condition. It is characterized by a reduction in bone density, which renders bones more susceptible to fractures. While it's true that osteoporosis is commonly associated with the natural aging process, it's not a foregone conclusion that we have to accept weakened bones as an inevitable part of growing older. Weightlifting, among other strategies, emerges as a powerful tool in managing and, in some cases, reversing the effects of osteoporosis.
The key to understanding how weightlifting can combat osteoporosis lies in its unique ability to stimulate bone growth and increase bone density. As mentioned earlier, weightlifting exercises stress our bones in a controlled and progressive manner. This stress is precisely what prompts the body to bolster bone density. The increased stress from lifting weights effectively tells the body, "Our bones need to be stronger to withstand this."
Osteoporosis is characterized by a loss of bone density, which makes bones brittle and more prone to fractures. By engaging in weightlifting, individuals with osteoporosis can work to reverse this decline in bone density. Over time, with consistent weightlifting, bone-forming cells, known as osteoblasts, become more active, generating new bone tissue. This process leads to improved bone density and, consequently, stronger bones.
However, it's essential to approach weightlifting with caution if you have osteoporosis. Consulting a healthcare professional is crucial before embarking on a weightlifting regimen. They can assess your individual condition, provide guidance on the types and intensity of exercises that are safe for you, and ensure that you're taking necessary precautions to prevent injuries. Weightlifting can indeed be a powerful ally in the battle against osteoporosis, but it's not a one-size-fits-all solution.
In summary, the answer to whether weight lifting can reverse osteoporosis is a resounding yes, provided it's done with proper guidance and precautions. Weightlifting has the potential to boost bone density, making bones less susceptible to fractures. It's a testament to the adaptability and resilience of our bodies, even in the face of challenging conditions like osteoporosis. With the right approach, weightlifting can be a transformative tool in regaining bone strength and overall health.
What Is the Best Exercise to Increase Bone Density?
The quest for increased bone density often leads us to ponder which exercises can deliver the most significant benefits. While numerous activities can contribute to better bone health, weightlifting stands out as one of the most effective approaches. However, within the realm of weightlifting, certain exercises have proven to be particularly potent in promoting bone density.
When we speak of the best exercises to enhance bone density, it's impossible to overlook the triumvirate of weightlifting movements: squats, deadlifts, and bench presses. These exercises are not only fundamental to any weightlifting routine but also shine as bone-strengthening powerhouses.
Squats: Squats are renowned for their comprehensive impact on the body, working multiple muscle groups, including the quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, and lower back. They also place a substantial load on the bones of the lower body. When you squat, your leg bones bear a considerable amount of weight, and this stress triggers the creation of new bone tissue, increasing bone density. Squats are like a one-stop shop for building muscle and bones.
Deadlifts: Deadlifts are another formidable exercise for enhancing bone density. They primarily target the muscles in your lower back, glutes, hamstrings, and the entire posterior chain. The act of lifting a heavy barbell from the ground places significant stress on your spine, hip, and leg bones. This stress stimulates bone-forming cells, fortifying your bones over time.
Bench Presses: While bench presses predominantly focus on the muscles of the chest, shoulders, and triceps, they also require engagement of the bones in the upper body. Your shoulder blades, collarbones, and ribs are essential for stabilizing your upper body during this exercise. Over time, the bones in your upper body adapt to this stress by becoming denser.
The reason these exercises are particularly effective for increasing bone density is their ability to place substantial stress on the bones. This stress serves as a stimulus for the body to reinforce bone density. It's a remarkable example of how our bodies adapt to meet the demands we place upon them.
To maximize the bone-strengthening benefits, it's crucial to incorporate these exercises into your weightlifting routine. While these exercises might seem challenging at first, their long-term benefits for bone health are undeniable. As with any exercise program, it's advisable to start with appropriate weights, maintain proper form, and progress gradually to reduce the risk of injury. When it comes to enhancing bone density, these compound exercises are truly among the best options available.
Does Lifting Increase Bone Thickness?
Indeed, lifting weights can have a remarkable impact on increasing bone thickness. To understand this phenomenon, let's delve into the fascinating science behind how lifting heavier weights can result in thicker, denser bones.
When you engage in weightlifting and progressively increase the amount of weight you lift, you subject your bones to more significant stress. This stress on your bones is a critical part of the process and serves as the impetus for bone adaptation. In response to this stress, the body initiates a remarkable sequence of events.
1. Osteoblast Activation: As you lift heavier weights, bone-forming cells called osteoblasts become more active. These diligent cells play a pivotal role in building new bone tissue.
2. Bone Remodeling: The increased stress on the bones sets in motion a process known as bone remodeling. In this process, the body starts breaking down older bone tissue and replacing it with fresh, denser bone. This is akin to a natural upgrade for your bones.
3. Increased Bone Thickness: Over time, the cumulative effect of these adaptations results in thicker bones. The new bone tissue is denser and more robust, contributing to enhanced bone thickness.
This increased bone thickness is vital for bone health and overall strength. Thicker bones are better equipped to withstand various stressors and forces placed upon them, reducing the risk of fractures and other bone-related issues.
While weightlifting's primary objective may be to build muscle strength and definition, it's a remarkable side effect that it also bolsters bone thickness. This interplay between muscle development and bone adaptation highlights the intricate balance of our musculoskeletal system.
It's important to note that, to achieve these bone-thickening benefits safely and effectively, it's crucial to approach weightlifting with proper form and gradual progression. Starting with weights that are suitable for your current level of strength and steadily increasing the load will help prevent injuries while promoting bone health.
The Heaviest Weight Lifted and Its Impact on Bone Health
One of the key tenets of weightlifting and its profound impact on bone health is the notion of challenging oneself by lifting the heaviest weight possible. This concept, known as "progressive overload," is not just about building impressive muscles; it also plays a pivotal role in enhancing bone strength.
The connection between lifting heavy weights and bone health is intrinsically linked to the body's remarkable ability to adapt to increased stress. When you lift weights, especially heavier ones, your bones are subjected to a more substantial load. This is where the magic happens. As the skeletal system perceives this heightened stress, it responds by initiating a series of adaptive processes.
1. Bone Density: The first and most crucial response is an increase in bone density. This means that the bone tissue becomes denser, and in turn, stronger. This is achieved through the stimulation of bone-forming cells called osteoblasts. These cells become more active, contributing to the creation of new, denser bone material.
2. Bone Remodeling: In addition to enhancing bone density, lifting the heaviest weights also triggers a process known as bone remodeling. This is where the body essentially renovates its bones. Older bone tissue is broken down and replaced with fresh, robust bone material. This is the body's way of ensuring that your bones can meet the increased demands placed upon them.
The impact of lifting the heaviest weights isn't just superficial; it extends to the very core of your bone structure. This profound change leads to stronger bones that are more resilient to the challenges of daily life. It reduces the likelihood of fractures and other bone-related issues, making it a crucial component of overall bone health.
As mentioned earlier, the principle of progressive overload is integral to reaping the bone-strengthening benefits of weightlifting. This means that as your strength improves, you should continuously strive to lift heavier weights. By consistently pushing your limits and gradually increasing the load, you ensure that your bones continue to adapt and become denser over time.
So, the next time you're contemplating whether to challenge yourself with the heaviest weight you can handle, remember that you're not just building muscle – you're investing in the long-term health and resilience of your bones. It's a powerful reminder of the interconnectedness of our musculoskeletal system and the incredible adaptability of our bodies.
How to Strengthen Bones Naturally
While weightlifting undeniably plays a crucial role in enhancing bone strength, it's not the sole path to achieving robust bones. There are various other natural methods that can complement your efforts and contribute to overall bone health.
Dietary Choices: Proper nutrition is fundamental to bone health. Calcium and vitamin D are two essential components. Calcium provides the building blocks for bone density, while vitamin D helps in its absorption. Ensure your diet includes calcium-rich foods like dairy products, leafy greens, and fortified foods. Additionally, consider vitamin D sources such as fatty fish, eggs, and sunlight exposure. If your diet doesn't meet these requirements, supplements can fill the gap.
Physical Activity: Beyond weightlifting, regular physical activity is essential for bone health. Weight-bearing exercises, such as walking, jogging, and dancing, stimulate bone formation. They encourage the body to maintain and increase bone density, helping to keep bones strong and resilient.
Healthy Body Weight: Maintaining a healthy body weight is another critical factor. Excess weight can strain your bones, particularly those in the lower body, making them more susceptible to damage. On the other hand, being underweight can weaken bones. Strive for a balanced weight that supports your overall health and well-being.
Lifestyle Choices: Certain lifestyle habits can significantly impact bone health. Smoking, for instance, is associated with reduced bone density and an increased risk of fractures. Excessive alcohol consumption can also harm bones. Moderation is key when it comes to these habits. Reducing or quitting smoking and limiting alcohol intake can promote better bone health.
Adequate Sleep: Quality sleep is essential for overall health, and it also plays a role in bone health. During deep sleep, the body repairs and rebuilds bone and tissue. Prioritizing a regular sleep schedule and aiming for 7-9 hours of restful sleep each night can support your body's natural bone maintenance processes.
Regular Check-Ups: Finally, regular check-ups with your healthcare provider are essential. They can assess your bone health, identify any deficiencies or concerns, and recommend appropriate interventions or treatments, if necessary. Early detection and proactive management are critical for maintaining bone health.
Incorporating these natural approaches alongside weightlifting into your lifestyle can help create a comprehensive strategy for strengthening your bones. It's important to recognize that bone health is a holistic endeavor, and these practices collectively contribute to your overall well-being. By making informed choices and adopting these habits, you can enjoy the benefits of strong and resilient bones for years to come.
The Relationship Between Exercise, Physical Activity, and Bone Strength
The intricate dance between exercise, physical activity, and bone strength is a compelling tale of how our bodies adapt to the demands we place upon them. It's a story that underscores the profound impact of movement on our skeletal system and the importance of a well-rounded approach to bone health.
Exercise, particularly weightlifting, stands as a potent catalyst for bone strength. The act of lifting weights places stress on our bones, prompting them to become denser and more robust. This increase in bone density is a hallmark of stronger bones and reduced susceptibility to fractures. Weightlifting, with its focus on resistance and progressive overload, is a powerful ally in the quest for enhanced bone health.
But the story doesn't end with weightlifting alone. Weight-bearing exercises like walking and running also play a pivotal role in maintaining bone health. These activities, characterized by the impact and force they generate as we move, stimulate the body to continually invest in bone density. The bones adapt to meet the demands of these weight-bearing exercises by becoming denser and more resilient.
Staying physically active is an essential part of the equation for bone health. It's not just about the specific type of exercise but the consistent engagement in physical activities that require your bones to work. Whether it's a brisk walk in the park, a jog around the neighborhood, or a session of weightlifting at the gym, these activities contribute to maintaining bone density and overall bone strength.
Diversity in exercise is also a key theme in the tale of bone strength. Incorporating a variety of exercises into your routine ensures that different muscle groups and bones are engaged. This holistic approach ensures a comprehensive strengthening of your skeletal system.
The relationship between exercise, physical activity, and bone strength is not merely a one-way street. It's a dynamic and reciprocal connection. As you exercise, your bones become stronger, reducing the risk of fractures and other bone-related issues. In return, strong bones allow you to engage in physical activities with confidence, reinforcing your overall health and well-being.
In conclusion, the narrative of exercise and bone strength is a story of resilience and adaptability. Weightlifting and weight-bearing exercises are protagonists in this tale, with their ability to stimulate bone density. But it's also a story of balance, where diversity in exercise and consistent physical activity play essential supporting roles. By actively participating in this narrative, you're not only writing a healthier future for your bones but also embracing a more vibrant and active lifestyle.
Weight Management for Better Bone Health
Maintaining a healthy weight is not only vital for overall well-being but also plays a significant role in preserving bone health. Our weight impacts the stress that our bones endure and how well they can support our bodies. It's a pivotal piece of the puzzle in the quest for strong and resilient bones.
Excess body fat can place undue stress on your bones, particularly the weight-bearing bones like those in the legs and spine. This increased mechanical load can lead to various musculoskeletal issues and compromise bone health. It's akin to the bones carrying a heavier burden than they are naturally equipped for, and over time, this can lead to damage and reduced bone density.
One of the effective strategies for weight management and promoting better bone health is weightlifting. Weightlifting not only contributes to building muscle but also aids in weight control. Muscle is metabolically active tissue, which means it burns calories even when you're at rest. The more muscle you have, the more efficient your body is at burning calories. This can assist in weight management and reduce excess body fat, subsequently alleviating the strain on your bones.
Additionally, a balanced diet is an essential companion to weightlifting in the pursuit of weight management. Proper nutrition ensures that you're providing your body with the necessary nutrients for muscle development and maintenance while managing your calorie intake effectively.
When you maintain a healthy weight through a combination of weightlifting and balanced nutrition, you reduce the mechanical load on your bones, allowing them to function optimally. Your bones are then better equipped to support your body's weight without succumbing to excessive stress. This, in turn, supports better bone health and reduces the risk of bone-related issues.
In conclusion, weight management is a key player in the symphony of bone health. It's not just about aesthetics or the number on the scale; it's about the long-term well-being of your bones. Weightlifting, coupled with a balanced diet, can be your allies in this journey. By maintaining a healthy weight, you are not only enhancing your bone health but also embracing a healthier and more active lifestyle.
Boosting Energy Levels with Weightlifting
The benefits of weightlifting extend far beyond the realm of muscle and bone. One of the remarkable side effects of this physical activity is its capacity to infuse you with newfound energy. The relationship between weightlifting, energy levels, and overall vitality is an intriguing journey into the world of fitness and well-being.
Regular physical activity, weightlifting included, is a dynamic catalyst for improved energy levels. Engaging in weightlifting sessions not only strengthens your muscles and bones but also has a profound impact on your cardiovascular health. As you lift weights, your heart rate increases, pumping oxygen-rich blood to various parts of your body, including your brain and muscles. This enhanced blood flow serves as a natural energy booster.
But the benefits don't stop there. Weightlifting enhances your overall physical fitness and endurance. It helps you build stamina and resilience, making everyday activities feel less taxing. With increased energy, you're more likely to stay active, both inside and outside the gym. This is a virtuous cycle. The more active you are, the more energy you have, and the more energy you have, the more active you want to be.
Weightlifting also contributes to mental clarity and a sense of well-being. The release of endorphins, often referred to as "feel-good" hormones, during and after a workout can elevate your mood and reduce stress. When you feel better mentally, it's easier to stay active and maintain a positive outlook on your fitness journey.
This enhanced energy has a significant impact on your bone health. When you have more energy, you're more inclined to engage in weightlifting and other physical activities. Consistency is a key factor in reaping the benefits of weightlifting for your bones. The more you can integrate weightlifting into your routine, the more robust and resilient your bones become.
In summary, the relationship between weightlifting, energy levels, and bone health is an interconnected web of physical and mental well-being. Weightlifting not only strengthens your bones but also boosts your overall vitality. It enhances your cardiovascular health, elevates your energy levels, and fuels a cycle of continuous activity. As you embark on your journey to better bone health through weightlifting, you're not only investing in your skeletal strength but also in a more energetic and vibrant life.
Muscle Strength and Its Connection to Bone Health
The intricate relationship between muscle strength and bone health is a testament to the synergy of our body's structural components. These two elements are deeply interlinked, and weightlifting is the bridge that connects them, fortifying the partnership between muscles and bones.
Weightlifting is a powerful catalyst for muscle growth. As you engage in weightlifting exercises, your muscles respond to the resistance by becoming stronger and more developed. This increased muscle mass is not only aesthetically pleasing but also plays a pivotal role in supporting your bones.
The forces exerted on your bones during weightlifting are significant. The act of lifting weights places a unique form of stress on your bones, different from what they experience during weight-bearing activities. This mechanical load stimulates your bones to adapt and become denser. As a result, your bones gain in density and strength, which is a hallmark of robust bone health.
But the connection goes even deeper. Strong muscles act as natural protectors for your bones. They provide an additional layer of defense, shielding your skeletal structure from external forces and potential injuries. When your muscles are well-developed and powerful, they contribute to enhanced balance and stability.
This balance and stability are critical in reducing the risk of falls and fractures, particularly in older adults. A robust musculoskeletal system, where muscles and bones work in harmony, can prevent accidents and enhance the overall quality of life.
In essence, the connection between muscle strength and bone health is like a symbiotic relationship. Weightlifting is the instrument that strengthens both components, creating a harmonious partnership. As you work to build muscle strength, you're also promoting bone density and, in turn, overall bone health.
Shedding Body Fat and Aiding Weight Loss
Weightlifting is often associated with bulking up, but it's also an excellent tool for shedding body fat and aiding weight loss. The connection between weightlifting, metabolism, and the reduction of excess body fat is a fascinating journey into the world of fitness and health.
As you engage in weightlifting, your body undergoes a transformation. You're not only building muscle but also supercharging your metabolism. Muscle is a metabolically active tissue, which means it requires energy (calories) to maintain itself. The more muscle you have, the higher your resting metabolic rate becomes. This means that even when you're not actively working out, your body is burning more calories.
This metabolic boost is a game-changer when it comes to weight loss. The additional calories your body consumes to maintain muscle mass create a calorie deficit, which is essential for shedding excess body fat. Weightlifting, therefore, contributes to both weight loss and the reduction of body fat.
The impact on your bone health is two-fold. Firstly, weight loss has a positive effect on your bones. Excess body weight places undue stress on your bones, especially those that bear the brunt of your weight, like those in your legs and spine. Shedding body fat reduces this mechanical load, relieving the strain on your bones.
Secondly, weightlifting, with its focus on resistance and progressive overload, complements the weight loss journey. It helps you sculpt your body, replacing fat with lean muscle. The denser your muscles become, the better they support your skeletal system. This, in turn, strengthens your bones and reduces the risk of bone-related issues.
Conclusion
Incorporating weightlifting into your fitness routine offers not only visible muscle gains but also hidden benefits for your bone health. It can increase bone density, reverse osteoporosis, and promote stronger, thicker bones. Remember to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new exercise regimen, and always prioritize proper form and safety in your weightlifting practice. Your bones will thank you for it.

We do! We need big sized playgrounds for adults to run and jump and goof around in!
I personally really enjoy lifting weights, when I pick up big heavy things I get a high like a runners high (which has never been something I actually got), but I have no judgement for other people not wanting to.
And what humans really need is just a lot of movement, no matter whether that's running, jumping, lifting, whatever. And playgrounds are perfect for that! Adults need more play, it's good for humans mentally as well as physically.

My ankle journey
I am sharing this with all you good people on the dash because I am so fucking mad it took so long for me to learn it and if I can spare one (1) person the agony it will be worth it.
So for like...oh, 8 or 9 months, I've been struggling with pain/inflammation/tendinitis in my left Achilles tendon. I don't know what caused it. It just started up (welcome to middle age, this shit happens). It wasn't severe enough to be debilitating, but it was annoying and limiting. It was also intermittent, in that some days it would be very painful and other days hardly at all. The kind of shoe I was wearing affected it a lot.
Now, I have bone spurs on both heels (it's just a thing that happens as you get older sometimes). I'm also aware that heel pain is usually the result of tight calf muscles that pull and irritate the tendon. I tried stretching that calf muscle. You know the stretch, this bitch right here:
Tumblr media
I did it all the time. I also iced the ankle after walking for awhile, hoping to avoid inflammation. Results were...unsatisfying.
I went to:
A chiropractor
A podiatrist
A physical therapist
A bodywork coach
They all gave me some variation on the "strengthen your calf muscle, stretch your calf muscle" advice. I continued doing this without results.
I was getting frustrated, and a little afraid that this was just my life now. Finally, I thought...maybe some targeted massage might help. I asked for rec on a local FB site and was pointed to a woman who specializes in therapeutic massage including cupping, etc.
I went to her a week ago.
She spent over half our first session working on my left lower leg. Within about 10 minutes of making my eyes water, she uttered the sentence I did not know I had been waiting to hear:
"Oh, it's your soleus."
Excuse me, what?
"It's your soleus that's the culprit. It's all tied up and stiff." She started digging into it and I felt literal sparks run up my leg as she released adhesions and got the muscle moving a little. When she finally put the leg down, it felt like it was on fire with all the blood rushing into it.
She said, "You'll need to stretch your soleus. It'll clear up, but it'll take a bit of time - tendons take ages to heal."
But I HAVE been stretching.
"No, you haven't. The usual straight-leg calf stretch only stretches the gastrocnemius, that's the big belly muscle in your calf. That's not your problem. That stretch doesn't stretch the soleus. Don't worry, I'll show you how to stretch it."
My mind is spinning.
So here are the muscles in question:
Tumblr media
The gastroc (as the pros call it) just attaches down the back but the soleus runs underneath it from the knee around the side to the heel. The lower part above the ankle is where it typically gets tight and forms adhesions.
To stretch it, you do the same calf thing where you put your foot back and press your heel to the ground, but you have to do it with your KNEE BENT:
Tumblr media
The bent knee keeps the gastroc from engaging. It's one of those selfish muscles (like traps) - if you give it an inch, it'll just take over and prevent other muscles from working or stretching. There are other ways to stretch the soleus but this is the easiest and you can literally do it anywhere. I've been doing it while standing and waiting for things (the elevator to come, the toast to toast). You just put the heel back and bend the knee. It's kind of like curtseying.
The minute I did this stretch, I could FEEL where it was pulling on my tendon. I knew that THIS had been the problem.
The massage therapist also told me to stop icing my heel. She said icing is for an acute injury, but a more chronic aggravation needs heat, to increase blood flow for healing. She recommended elevation with heat every day (I've been doing it in bed during "phone before bed" time).
I have been doing the soleus stretch at least half a dozen times a day for almost a week, and the ankle is at least 70% better. It is still a little tight and tender, but the improvement is significant. I think a few more weeks will have it feeling normal.
I am...blown away by this. This massage therapist was able to pinpoint an issue in only a few minutes that eluded all the other professionals I saw. I can't wait to go back to her and have her solve all my other problems, tbh.

remus x touch starved! reader ❤
i want him to hug me so badly 😭
<3
Me toooooooo! Unsure if this was a request but thanks for sending and potentially for requesting haha <3
Remus Lupin x fem!reader ♡ 707 words
Remus’ foot is touching yours. It’s incidental, thoughtless. You’re sitting on opposite sides of the couch, facing each other as you both read your books, only you’re not reading anymore because all of your attention has been stolen by the way your boyfriend’s foot is lightly pressing yours into the back cushion. The slightness of the contact, the smallness of it, it isn’t nearly enough, and yet you don’t think you could take any more.
The other side of the couch seems a thousand miles away.
“You alright?” Remus asks. You look up to find him studying you over the top of his book.
“Mhm. Why?”
“You just seem like you might be cold.” You look at him bemusedly, and he nods to the blanket around your shoulders. “You’ve wrapped yourself up fairly tightly there.”
You look down. You’re holding the blanket closed with a near vice-like grip, cocooning yourself in warm snugness.
“Oh.” You ease your grasp on it. “Sorry, I didn’t even notice.”
“Nothing to be sorry for,” Remus replies easily, sitting forward and clasping a hand around your ankle. “Should I go turn the heater up?”
Every nerve in your being has directed its attention to your ankle, your boyfriend’s fingers braceleting it loosely, casually. One finger moving slowly up and down as though to placate you. Your chest aches terribly.
Some of it must show on your face, because Remus frowns. “What is it?”
“What?”
“You look upset.” He leans forward, his touch coasting up to your knee. His frown deepens. “Sweetheart, what's wrong?”
“Nothing.” You close your eyes, feeling silly. Shake your head. “Sorry, nothing’s wrong. I’m fine.”
“Are you sure?”
“It’s really stupid.”
Remus shushes you admonishingly. “I doubt that. Will you tell me?”
“It’s just…” You push out a breath, not quite able to look at him. “It is, it’s silly. I feel like I miss you, but you’re right here.”
Remus gives you a contemplative look, his lips downturnt. You almost want to laugh just so he’ll take you less seriously. You feel far too exposed.
“That doesn’t sound silly,” he says after a moment. “I think…I know what you mean, sometimes. Maybe there’s something we’re missing.”
“Like what?” you ask helplessly.
He considers you. “Could we have a hug?”
Now you do laugh. “Yeah,” you say, though you don’t move. “Of course, whenever you want.”
“Whenever you want, too,” Remus reminds you. He takes the initiative, setting his book down and moving across the couch toward you.
His arms come around you almost tentatively, one hand moving across your back while the other settles itself between your shoulder blades. You give a little shiver at the contact, and he strengthens his hold, your own fingers bunching in the material of his jumper. That ache in your chest begins to feel like a sort of fracturing.
“I might cry,” you warn him wobbily. “Don’t worry about it.”
Remus’ surprised chuckle jostles the first couple of tears out of you. “Oh, sweetheart.” He palms the back of your head. “I’ll try not to, but are you sure you’re alright?”
“Yeah.” You clutch him tightly. “This helps.”
“Okay,” he says softly.
Remus lets you cry it out. He holds you, shuffles closer on the couch, presses his lips to the top of your head. When you’re done and you pull away to press a salty kiss to the corner of his lips, he picks up your fallen blanket and draws it around the both of you.
Your legs are all tangled together, bent knees and coarse hairs and the jut of an ankle bone into your hip. Remus looks into your eyes with a steady fondness.
“Do you feel any better?” he asks.
“Yeah,” you answer honestly. “Sorry, thank you.”
“Why are you always sorry?” There’s a bit of teasing in his voice now, softened by the brush of his lips against your nose. “You can always ask for hugs, you know. You should.”
“Okay.”
“I want you to.”
“Okay.” Your face feels warm, but you feel a thousand times lighter. “I will.”
“Good.” He gives you a little smile. “Can we do another now?”
“Remus,” you smile back at him, “I’m really fine.”
“I believe you. This one’s for me.”

Skintight
Fandom: My Hero Academia, Warnings: Suggestive, Word Count: 2.1k.
Summary: Sero's got an embarrassing problem.
A/N: This is a new flavour of Sero for me, but I love this one just as much.
Tumblr media
'You can't laugh...' Sero's voice is thick in the back of his throat forcing him to attempt to cough out it's awkwardness.
It doesn't work.
There's still the tell tale pinkness of a deep blush around his cheek bones, one that streaks down his neck and vanishes beneath the high, black neck of his suit.
Holding open your front door, you raise your eyebrows already on the cusp of giggles. He's leaning on your door frame, his arm pinned above his head, elbow pressed into the wood in a way that was almost charming. 'Okay...'
'Can – Actually...' He leans back, glancing down the corridor. 'Can I come in?'
'Of course.' Stepping aside, you watch as he slips into your apartment keeping his back almost flush with the door. You watch as he goes, side-stepping his way into your living room before turning quick on the balls of his feet to face you – the same sheepish smile etched into his features. Pausing, you tilt your head. 'Are you okay?'
'Y – yeah, uh...' He swallows, Adam's apple bobbing in his throat as he fidgets.
You raise your eyebrows, tipping forward slightly on your tip-toes.
'I – ha... See it's funny really because -.'
'Hanta, spit it out.'
He sighs. 'I'm stuck in my suit.'
You can't help it, a chuckle bubbles up your throat and spills helplessly over your lips.
Rocking his head back on his shoulders, Hanta groans. 'I said not to laugh...'
Sucking in air through your teeth, you struggle with party balloon lungs until the wheezing subsides and you can stand a little straighter again. 'Yeah, yep, sorry...' A stray gasp leaks from your lips, forcing you to bite down on the seam to silence it. 'Go on.'
'It gets worse.' He sighs. Squeezing shut his eyes, he licks over his lips before admitting. 'I'm naked in here.'
'I'm sorry, what?' You cough, disguising the tension in your lungs. It's hard not to look then, to really look, given the new information you've just been presented with.
Black spandex, strengthened with some obnoxiously named polymer stretches over the expanse of his shoulders. He's wide there, wider than you'd expect given his slight frame, but there's no denying the muscle that lingers under the material. The black extends, covers the swells of his pecs and then tapers, cutting into odd triangles that frame the ripples of his stomach. He's not as well muscled here as he is in his shoulders. Instead of the rough blocks of abdominal muscles, his are streamlined, forming two long, thick stripes of muscle that are almost totally visible through the pale of his suit.
Letting your eyes sink lower still, your gaze lingers on the thin strips of malleable metal that serves to strengthen his suit, but also inadvertently seems to perfectly highlight the deep creases that mark out his torso. You swallow. Hidden under a black square of material, barely contained by what you have to assume is at least two layers of material is a thick bulge. The swell is obvious, casting darkened shadows onto the twitching muscles of his thighs.
'Naked, me, under here...' Gesturing his crotch, he widens his eyes.
'The fucking zip snapped and I can't ask anyone to fucking help peel me out because whoever does it is going to get an eyeful of, well... Me.'
Blinking repeatedly, you swallow the saliva collecting in your mouth and snap your eyes back up to his. His jaw is tight, his stare worried and wild as he looks at you for an answer to a question you're not sure he's got the balls to ask.
Although, new information could prove you wrong.
It's in that instant that the silliness of the situation hits you right back over the head again. You manage to hold your laughter for a solid three seconds before it's tumbling out of you again. This time, it catches you off guard, rolling through you and almost reducing you to a crouch as Sero winces in front of you. 'Why couldn't you get one of the boys to help? Surely they've seen everything before...'
'And have Denks take the piss forever? No thanks.'
'Oh...' You fold your arms across your chest. 'And you think I won't take the piss? Is that it?'
'No.' He answers too quickly, but manages to trap the rest of his half-baked confession behind his teeth before it drops into the palm of your hands. The truth is, he doesn't think he'd mind you taking the piss – he doesn't think he'd mind you doing anything to him, in all honesty. Maybe that's why instead of slinking back to the agency and hoping that Hatsume was in her workshop, he'd found himself here, almost twenty minutes out of his way. He shrugs. 'But, maybe you'll be nicer about it?'
Locking eyes with him for a moment, you pause to watch him sweat before rubbing your hands together. 'C'mon then...' You smirk. 'Let's see how big that dick is.'
'Can you not?' Sero snaps, shivering when your palm meets the muscle of his shoulder. You slide your touch across him, moving in one solid stroke from his deltoid to the thick muscle of his back. The touch, as innocent as it is, makes his stomach tighten, molten lava churning as he submits to your teasing. A soft giggle slips your lips, sliding into his ear like sweet sherbet, making him half regret his decision to ask you, but then, your fingers are playing at the dips just above his collarbone and stealing coherency from him once more.
The suit is cooler than you'd expected. You can feel it, the tips of your fingers growing colder as you search across his chest, fingertips pressing against him in a search that quickly becomes fruitless.
Scratching, you use your nails to rake down his chest and attempt to ignore the way you can feel him respond. His whole body bristles, muscles tightening as a ripple uses his spine like a fire pole. You lick over your lips and hope he can't hear the shake in your voice. 'Where the fuck is the zip on this thing?'
Stretching back his shoulders, Sero swallows. 'It's, uh, around the back...' Gathering the loose hair
Immediately, you lift your hands as if burnt. Now, your groping feels gratuitous – sexual in a way that it wasn't meant to be. Not really. When you step behind him, twisting your hip to avoid bumping it against his, you don't let your fingers wonder.
It's not hard to find it, not now you're laser focused. There's a small bump. The slightest overlap between the two sides of his suit as it wraps around the base of his neck. A few hours ago there had been a zip, the thin strip of metal poking, just, from the material, but now, there's nothing there: Just the slight bump.
Laying one hand flat against the muscle of his back, you use your index finger to skate up the zip – parting the fabric as you go. At the top, you hook your finger under the suit and begin to work at opening it.
Each touch sends a series of short static shocks up through his body, forcing him to tense the plain of his stomach to keep him from folding over. He can feel it, the delicate slip of your fingers as you manage to shift the zip from the top of his spine to near between his shoulders. Inhaling, he starts to wonder if this was a bad idea after all.
'You want me to just keep going, yeah?' You move slowly now. It's almost obscene. A private strip show. One you're participating in, that wouldn't even be happening without you. The thought has you fighting your own composure, forcing you to lock your knees to keep them from shaking.
'Ye – yeah.' He forces a laugh into his voice, but it catches behind his Adam's apple and slips out of his mouth a rasp. 'It stops like, like,' he coughs. 'Like just above my ass.' The bridge of his nose crinkles, a cringe folding his features as he stops talking.
'Okay.' Your fingers feel like they're burning as your decent reveals more and more skin. The smooth plain of his back is revealed, the muscle underneath rippling as it's loosed from it's material confines.
It's intimate in a way you'd never expected as with the slick of his suit, so too are hidden secrets revealed. There's a mole just under the curve of his right shoulder blade. A scar that runs parallel to his spine, the skin still pink and fresh. The edges of black ink that wraps around the edge of his left hip.
When the zip finally draws to a stop, you can see the cleft of his ass. If you were to slip your hands inside, splaying your fingers across the warm breath of his lower back you'd be able to sink your thumbs into his back dimples. You imagine he'd sigh. Let his head roll back on his shoulders as you press close to him. Maybe you'd let your hands slink further, following along the grooves of his hips; lines that would lead to lower and lower, until...
'All done?' His voice is wound tight when he speaks, locked somewhere in the basin of his throat and released as if thrown out on a breath.
Your reluctant to step back, to recede from the heat of his body, but you manage it. 'Yep.' You pat his back, feeling the muscle relax under your touch. 'All done.'
He turns, already wriggling his shoulders free from the material of his suit. 'Thanks, thought I was going to be trapped forever in this thing. It's so...' Slipping his fingers under the latex clinging to his left shoulder, he stretches it from his skin. 'Difficult to fucking get out of.'
You chuckle and watch him struggle. He twists around himself, peeling the second skin of his suit away only for it to snap back and illicit a hiss from between his teeth. 'C'mere, before you do yourself some serious harm.'
Sero shivers as your hands skate underneath the suit and peel him from it. He'd close his eyes to hide from the intimacy of your slow undressing of him, but all that would do is conjure images of what he wishes would come afterwards. Images of him repaying the favour, slipping you from your oversized hoodie and sinking to his knees then repaying you again in a wholly different way. He can already imagine how easy it would be to have you, and yet... 'Thanks,' he mumbles.
'No worries.' You giggle, catching his eye before you step back: his shoulders and arms freed. 'Tell you what though...' Your eyebrow arcs, a coy smile playing at the edge of your lip. 'That really doesn't hide anything, does it?'
Eyes widening, he swallows hard. The knowledge of your staring, dare he even dream admiring, sends a shock wave of tension directly south. He cock kicks, his ass clenching as if to try and disguise the too obvious bulge against the front of his costume. In an instant, his hands sink, the top-half of his suit bunched in his fist as he plays the move for comfort and hopes you don't notice a thing. 'I...'
'I'm just joking around, Han.' You chuckle around the lump in your throat. There's a notable pulse in your stomach, one that sinks by the second and has your thoughts turning savoury.
'I'll...' Sero hedges. There's an energy in his muscles, one that makes him want to bounce on the balls of his feet and do something silly.
'Do you want a t-shirt?'
The more he looks at you, the more kissable you look. You always look kissable, but right now, with the sun coming in from your living room window and that small curious smile itching at your lip... You look phenomenal. He shakes his head. 'I'll just swing home. I'll be too high and too quick for anyone to notice that I'm semi-shirtless... My place isn't far.'
'Oh, okay.' You try not to let your disappointment show, but there's a notch that forms between his eyebrows that makes you wonder just how successful you'd been at disguising it. Slinking to the door, Sero has one foot over the threshold before he turns.
Fuck it. He thinks.
'Can I tell you something?'
Your eyes shine, head tilting. 'Of course, anything.'
'I really, like, really wanna take you out to dinner.'
Your lips break into a smile, forcing apples into your cheeks as a chuckle slips through your teeth. 'Yeah?'
'Yeah.' His smile matches yours, reaching his eyes and making him glow. 'Next week? That new place down town?'
You nod, chewing at your lip as you try not to feel like an excited school girl. 'It's a date.'
Sero's heart stutters, thudding in his chest. 'It's a date.'

Bloodlines
Tumblr media
summary | daemond needs to marry and you're at the top of his list.
pairing | daemond targaryen x (f)cousin!reader
wordcount | 1k
warnings | 18+, MINORS DNI!, very light smut
edited.
You never expected your cousin to be here with you on your island of Valyria, much less dining at your table and feasting on your food. You watch as he takes another forkful, his plate nearly empty. He wipes his mouth with a cloth.
You barely touch your meal. The room feels small and intimate despite its grandeur. Heavy stone walls adorned with ancient Valyrian tapestries tell tales of dragons and conquest. While a large chandelier made of dragon bone casts a warm, golden glow across the table. The open doors allow a gentle breeze to drift in from the beach, the sound of waves crashing against the shore tightening the knot in your stomach.
You glance back at Daemon. He hasn’t changed much, though his silver-white hair is now cut short. The last time you saw him, it had fallen past his shoulders, but you find yourself liking this look more. It frames his sharp features, and the dangerous glint in his eyes.
Daemon is dressed in deep, shadowy leathers, perfectly tailored to his lean form. You watch the silver clasps and embroidered dragons shimmer subtly in the low light.
Your own attire feels too revealing under his gaze. The soft, flowing fabric of your gown clings to you, draping in ways that accentuate every curve. Deep hues of blue and green—house colors—wrap around you like a second skin. The slight chill of the evening makes your exposed shoulders prickle beneath his watchful eyes.
“Is there something on your mind?” Daemon’s voice cuts through the air. Casual as he leans back in his chair, swirling his wine. “Cousin?”
You push your plate outward. Your attendant immediately steps forward to clear it.
“Leave us,” you command, your voice steady. The servant quickly departs, leaving only the two of you.
You tilt your head, studying him for a moment, memories swirling. “It’s been quite some time since I last saw you.”
“Three, four years,” he replies with a lazy shrug, “give or take.”
You look away, a warmth growing across your cheeks. “Hm.” You lean back slightly, your fingers brushing against the smooth wood of the table. “You haven’t changed at all.”
Daemon’s eyes sharpen, trailing over you in a way that makes the air you breathe feel heavier. “You have.”
A heavy silence settles in. The moment stretching out as his gaze lingers over you.
“All grown up now,” he muses, his voice low, almost teasing. He takes another sip of his wine, his eyes never leaving yours.
You chew your lip for a moment, holding back your retort. “You didn’t come here just to visit after four years. A Valyrian steel dagger, no less. A fine gift, even for you.”
Daemon chuckles, the sound rich. “Can’t a man visit his family without suspicion?”
“You?” You raise an eyebrow, the corners of your lips pulling into a wry smile. “Never.”
His amusement deepens as he stands, his movements fluid, every step deliberate. He paces slowly around the table, fingers gliding across its surface. As he walks, his gaze briefly flicks upward to the ceiling. There lingering, is a painting of Valaryian lovers entwined beneath dragon wings.
“You always did see through the masks people wear. I admired that about you.”
He stops in front of you, his hand lifting as if to touch your chin, but you tilt your head away.
Your voice is steady as you speak. “What do you want, Daemon?”
He lowers his hand, though the smile doesn’t fade. “I must marry.”
A small grin tugs at your lips. “I’ve heard the rumors about you and Rhaenyra. If they’re true, why not her?”
Daemon’s smirk widens, amusement flickering in his eyes as he looks back at the ceiling. “Rumors,” he says softly, “are often more fun than the truth.”
His eyes lock onto yours, sharper now. “But you and I both know what strengthens Valyria.”
“Keeping the bloodline pure?” you offer, your voice firm but tinged with curiosity.
His silence answers you.
“Hm.” The sound escapes your lips as you push your chair back and rise. Standing so close, you feel the heat radiating from him, his breath fanning your face.
Your hand presses against his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heart beneath his armor-like clothing. His hand finds your waist, gripping you with a possessive firmness. “What if I have eyes for another?” you ask, your voice barely a whisper-- the challenge clear.
Daemon’s dark chuckle sends shivers down your spine as he leans in close, his breath brushing against your ear. “Vezof rȳbagon skoros iā rūmu zirȳ rōvon,” he whispers in Valyrian, his voice like silk and steel combined.
Don’t forget what I did to you four years ago.
He pulls back just enough to meet your gaze, his lips almost touching yours, his eyes burning with the same fire you’ve tried to suppress for years.
Your heart pounds as you feel the weight of his words. You remember how he deflowered you—rocking into you like a piston, kissing your lips, biting at your skin—setting your body on fire. The memory fades.
You meet his gaze head-on, your lips parting as you murmur in Valyrian, “Nyke gīmigon lo ao gīmigon…”
I could never forget.
His eyes darken, the grip on your waist tightening. Daemon’s other hand finds the curve of your neck, his touch slow and deliberate, gliding down to the material of your sleeve. With a smooth motion, he slides it off your shoulder, your bare skin to the cool air.
Your eyes flicker from his lips back to his intense gaze, the air between you electric. You feel the steady rhythm between your thighs quicken as his fingers slide down from your chest. Daemon hitches up the material of your gown. His fingers make their way between your thighs. The pads of his fingertips brush against you and you fall forward onto his shoulder.
You breathe harshly. His fingers are cool and should be foreign. But the way they sink into you, you know it’s all too familiar. You let out a moan as he stills.
The hand on your waist moves up to your shoulder and then to your chin. He holds you, bringing your face to look at him.
“Nyke jaelā ao.”
I want you.
You let out a soft moan as his fingers spread inside you.  “Ērīninna nyke.”
Then take me.
Without hesitation, he closes the distance. His lips capture yours in a kiss that ignites every spark between you, consuming you both in a fire that’s been smoldering for far too long.

Debilitated planets in astrology
Tumblr media
Sun in Libra ⚖️
Sun in Libra is debilitated because sun's aggressive and assertive nature does not go well with Libra's love for harmony and balance. The most common thing that comes with a debilitated sun is the lack of confidence. I know many people with this placement who are actually really good leaders but because they are not confident in their own abilities, they tend to hold themselves back. No matter how much other people praise them, they'll always think that they're not good enough. Can also be people pleasers, I personally think that you guys should not be in a relationship unless you strengthen your sun. They are much more likely than others to be victims of peer pressure. There can be some problems with heart, bones, or stomach, or it's like, your stomach is the first thing that hurts when you get sick, migraines and fevers are also common. To strengthen your sun, you should do the following things, (do the things that you can, you don't have to do every single one, I'm listing down all the ones that I know) :
Perform Surya namaskar or just do yoga in the morning.
Use a copper glass to drink water.
Offer water to sun every morning (when it rises) from a copper vessel.
Look at the sunrise with your eyes, if you wear glasses, remove the glasses and then look at it. JUST as the sun is rising, don't wake up at 11 am, and then look at the sun.
You shouldn't eat a lot of meat, I'm not telling you to become a vegetarian, but do lessen the consumption of meat and try to eat more fruits and vegetables instead.
Wear red colored clothes more often, and also donate red colored clothes to orphanages, it can be helpful.
If you're a Hindu and you LIKE being a Hindu, then chant this, "om suryaya namaha" 3 times in the morning before leaving your house or if you're offering water to sun then do it that time only.

Moon in Scorpio 🦂
Moon is debilitated in Scorpio. People with a debilitated moon are highly prone to stress, much more than others, they also very easily get Black circles under their eyes, it's like, even if they sleep a little less for a day, you'll see it on their faces, their hair starts turning grey very early on in life. They can have sinus problems and be prone to allergies. Also, I read this somewhere, but it's turned out to be true for every person that I know has a weak moon, their sweat smells very very bad, I'm sorry 😭. They can also be scared of water, not like bathing and regular stuff but swimming and doing water sports. HUGE mood swings, one moment they're shouting at you and the next they're asking for a hug and talking sweetly. Highly sensitive to criticism, will get offended at the smallest things, this results in them being very defensive over their interests and lifestyle. Their intuition is weak and they can struggle to figure out the true intentions of people, can get very easily manipulated. Lactose intolerance is something that I've noticed in a lot of people with a weak moon. Can have problems with mental health, like anxiety and adhd, weak chest, breast, ovaries, uterus, problems with menstrual cycle, irregular periods, fertility issues. cold and cough are very common. To strengthen your moon, you should do the following things :
Avoid spending time alone.
Practice meditation every day to calm down the mind.
Offer milk to shivaling if you can.
Avoid having birds as pets.
Eat coconut and wear white clothes, or even wearing a white scarf with usual clothes is fine.
You should also use sandalwood oil to improve sleep or use it while meditating as well.
Chant "Om Shram Shreem Shroum Sah Chandramase Namah" 3 times everyday, do it while meditating.

Mercury in Pisces 🐟
Mercury is debilitated in Pisces. Communication problems are a given with this placement. People can misunderstand their words quite often, it's like, even when they're trying to compliment someone, it sort of ends up sounding like an insult, when that wasn't their interntion in the first place. They can be the "invisible" friend in the group, it's like even if they go away nobody will notice or be affected by their absence. The friend who always has to walk behind when there's no space left, the one that is left behind when they stop to tie their laces, the one that tries to be social and funny but ends up failing miserably. They feel alone even if they're surrounded by people. This is especially true when they're young, but they look at all these people around them, having fun, dating, partying, and then they're just THERE, just existing, that feeling is common. Overthinking, nobody can beat them to it, sitting in class, having a doubt but not bringing it up cuz you're afraid of being perceived as stupid. They're also very sensitive to criticism. They do have a really strong intuition though, can see right through people, good judge of characters. Frequently engage in maladaptive daydreaming, will act like a princess whose knight is in love with her, but she is forced to marry a prince from another kingdom, frequently cook up stories like this in their heads (totally not speaking from personal experience). They daydream to avoid reality, but like who doesn't. There can be problems related to throat, nervous system, ulcers, fractures, UTI's, iron and haemoglobin issues as well. To strengthen your Mercury, you should do the following things :
Wash new clothes before wearing them.
Chanting mantras related to lord budhha.
Eat green vegetables and fruits
Keep good oral hygiene, clean your teeth and tongue THOROUGHLY (everyone should do this btw, cuz...basic hygiene)
Chant "Om gan ganpataye namah" 3 times in the morning before leaving your house

Venus in Virgo 🦊
Venus is debilitated in Virgo. These people can be very critical of their partners, will always try to find faults with them. Can be overly concerned with outer appearances. They struggle a lot with self love, Cassie from euphoria is a pretty accurate representation of someone with a debilitated Venus. They have low self esteem and as a result, can get together with people who try to pull them down and the worst part is that they tend to believe them. They have a bad fashion sense, they're more likely to follow trends, not realising that those clothes are not the best for THEIR body type. Dependency issues in relationship is very common. They are creative, but don't know how to express it, most of the times, they're not even aware of this creativity. They can also be more prone than others to get addicted to alcohol or drugs, so I would advise you to stay away from them. If you haven't consumed it yet, then it's better to not even try. Can have problems related to kidneys, skin, eyes, sexual hormones (PCOS is common in women with this placement), hormonal disorders. To strengthen your Venus, you should do the following things :
You should avoid taking anything for free, for ex, you know how in some stores they offer things to taste, like snacks and all, don't try them.
You should use cow ghee to cook food.
Wear silver jewellery and use nice perfumes.
Pour white flowers in water, preferably a big body of water.
Never repeat your clothes without washing them first. Don't wear unwashed clothes.
Chant "Om shum shukraya Namah"
Tumblr media
Mars in Cancer 🦀
Mars is debilitated in Cancer. These people are always a little lethargic, the type to wake up tired no matter how much sleep they get (yk that meme, that goes "when you wake up and can't wait to go back to sleep". They don't like to eat healthy food, can be obsessed with eating junk all the time. I know people with this placement who are ADDICTED to cheese, won't eat anything without it. Can get bruised very easily and most of the time they aren't even aware of how they got it. Get frequent body pains because of weak muscles. Don't know how to express their sexuality in a healthy manner. They have Weak concentration skills and low attention span. There can be property related disputes in the family, you'll probably not inherit anything (good) from your family. They use displacement as their defence mechanism, anger is always directed at the wrong person because they're too weak to hurt the people who've hurt them. They can be very passive aggressive. There can be problems related to bones, muscles, blood, genitals, rectum, hands and prostate gland. To strengthen your mars, you should do the following things :
You should donate blood.
Carry red things with you, it shouldn't be too big, small enough to fit in your pocket.
Eat red fruits and vegetables, like, pomegranates, beetroot, apple, cherry, red pepper, etc.
Chanting or reading Hanuman chalisa can help a LOT ( I would give an example but the whole situation was very detailed)
Use copper utensils to eat food and drink water in a copper glass.
Tumblr media
Jupiter in Capricorn 🐐
Jupiter is debilitated in Capricorn. For some weird reason, they always get teachers who have a problem with them. Their teachers always pin point their faults and try to humiliate them. But when they grow old, like 25+ they finally manage to find someone who does their best to guide them, this teacher will have a huge impact on their life. They are likely to become more spiritual and less religious as they grow up. I know a lot of people with this, and they all ended up becoming the head of their household, it doesn't matter if they're a man or a woman, married or divorced, they are gonna be the ones to manage their family. There will be a lot of difficulties in terms of career, you might have to work twice as hard as others to get the same benefits. There can be financial difficulties as well, it usually happens because most of the time, these people are the breadwinners, so whatever they earn, gets used for their family instead. So it FEELS like they earn less even if they earn a lot. This is a very bad placement for women, since the probability of getting a bad husband increases. The women with this get ghosted a lot. You can be more prone than others to health problems like, diabetes, obesity, insomnia, gall bladder stones, ear and gastric troubles. To strengthen your Jupiter, you should do the following things :
Apply a blend of turmeric powder and sandalwood on your forehead, a short line with your thumb (dip your thumb in the mixture and then put your thumb between your eyebrows and draw a ⬆️ line)
Offer bananas to people.
Avoid consuming meat and alcohol.
Wear yellow clothes (avoid wearing dark Colors) or keep something yellow with you permanently.
Practice meditation.
Wear gold, it can be a small chain or a ring as well.
Chant "Om brim brihaspataye namah"
Tumblr media
Saturn in Aries 🐏
Saturn is debilitated in Aries. These people are very irresponsible and make fake promises. They'll do everything except what they're actually supposed to do. Have a tendency to blame others for their failures, I know quite a few people with this and.....🙄. These people are not good leaders but they think they are, this leads to them taking leadership roles through force. They look scary and they ARE scary, nobody can stand up to them. They're unable to manage resources effectively and this can lead to severe financial difficulties. They also end up making a lot of enemies, so even if they become successful, it won't be for long. There can be problems related to, legs, knees and joints. To strengthen your Saturn, you should do the following things :
Brush your teeth with a neem toothpaste.
Honestly, be a vegetarian, this is the only planet for which I would recommend you guys to NOT consume meat and alcohol. I know 100's of people who were literally dying during their Saturn mahadasha and then became perfectly fine once they stopped eating meat and drinking alcohol.
Be a decent human being, that is literally all that Saturn asks of you 😭
Drink cow milk ONLY, if that's not available then don't drink milk.
Always keep a little ball of silver with you.
Wear dark green clothes.
Tumblr media
(there are many factors that can cancel the debilitation of a planet, and these remedies help too, so don't worry too much if you have planets in debilitation)

di leon kennedy doing pushups ;) inspired by this (suggestive) art by @bunnivievve because i think artists have too much power. lowkey im typing this out so fast rn im tweaking i have exams tomorrow NOOOOOOOO-
<><><><>
your husband joined the police force. great. awesome. what a wonderful sight, at least it is for all the people watching on the outside. the picture perfect couple; a loving wife and a valiant husband to match.
what they never saw were the late nights up, studying the same textbook about a trillion times over, pretty much memorizing the goddamn contents of it before stumbling into your bed.
his body might be warm but that warmth always abandons you in what seems like a second, the snap of his fingers, because it's become a recurring instance that he's left early to train.
always making good impressions, that man. and you're proud of him, you have to be and you're not ashamed to show it. you've seen his growth, his courage that he displays, the hurt he has to suffer through all to keep the city safe. his city, where you are. his heart.
which is why it comes as a surprised when your husband, a man you've been married to for seven years, comes up to you with a bashful expression, eyes darting left and right, grazing all the corners of the world.
"do you... uhm... think... i'm strong?" you blink, dazed.
"why? what's wrong?"
"well, some of my higher ups had some concerns about... strength. they wanted me to 'strengthen my core'." he chuckles. "whatever that means."
"and you came to me for that," you drone.
"i've seen you do all those exercises around the house!" he protests. "can't you just teach me a few?"
"first of all, those are to help with cramps, and second, no." it seems like he's given up, but you know him well enough to know that that will never be the case.
"aw, c'mon, please?" he murmurs, taking your hand into his, caressing the bottom of your knuckles, rubbing soothing circles into your fingers. "just once?"
so you find yourself relenting to the man who always knows what to say to get you to crack. maybe next time you should be more demanding, hm?
needless to say, it's all made up for when you stretch out into the first pose, a simple sitting position with your legs extended fully, fingertips reaching the tips of your toes.
leon nods, and he gets the sitting part right. but when he tries to copy your movements, he hisses and leans back, groaning with the effort.
"what's wrong, officer kennedy?" you tease. "scared you'll break a hip bone?"
"quiet," he grumbles. "i'm just a little sore from yesterday."
"of course, of course, a very busy day running errands, such as picking up doughnuts, might i add?"
he scowls at you and tries again, and again, but every time he can't seem to cope with the fact your flexibility, even at your maturing age, is better than his, even with all his rigorous training.
"looks like you couldn't do it," you say smugly, smirking directly at him, angling your body to face him. "told you so."
"i think it's my turn now," he says, creeping towards you. and this time he seems to have the prowess of a panther, easily slotting himself into place above you.
"your turn for what?" you ask, somewhat suggestively. he grins.
"how 'bout i show you what i've learned?"
fuck, you'll never doubt him again, will you? his sweet, submissive girl, arching beneath him, one hand pressed on the floor near your head, keeping him supported. the other is clasped behind his back, in an ethereal tilt that has his chest hair hitting all the right angles of the dying sun.
your knee is thrown over his shoulder, and the position should be awkward, you think, yet it feels as natural as anything. he pistons his hips further into you, and he's been mumbling something in your ear since he started.
now that you can hear him better through his rough, sloppy pants, you hear a steady rhythm. "twenty-five... twenty-six..."
he's counting, you realize after your mind-shattering orgasm, whimpering underneath him as he finishes, muscles flexing in a manner you'd never thought to admire until you realize why.
he's counting the pushups, god, that's all he's been doing this whole time. and you'd be damned if you didn't send a silent prayer of thanks back to the academy, where they trained him to do this.
but you're sure this isn't how they expected him to apply it in real life. hey, what can you say? seems like you're finally enjoying your husband's career and all the perks it comes with.
"my pretty wife, going around doing all those stretches, driving me fucking crazy bending over like that," he rambles, lowering himself to shower your face in messy kisses before tilting his head back to the side with a hiss, lifting himself back up.
back up and back down, a slower pace with his upper body while his lower half rails into you, and all you can do is lie there, helpless to what he gives you, craving more yet somehow satiated at the same time.
"yeah, mmm, fuck, just like that-" he breaks off his counting to whisper sweet nothings in your ear for the second time that evening, pushing his spend back in while you grasp for purchase on his biceps, feeling the hardened muscle lurch back towards you as you dig your nails deep into his skin.
"needed that, didn't you?" you whisper breathlessly after he collapses onto the hard wooden floor next to you. his eyes shine with effort and pride, and after a low exhale, he immediately scoops you up.
he carries you back to the bedroom, where he lies you down onto the comforters, making sure you're comfortable before trailing up and down your neck with soft, carefully measured kisses once again.
"w-what're you doing?" you murmur, twitching under the overstimulation. leon's eyes have shifted to a deeper color, a darker lilt to his eyes when he reaches your gaze.
"i can do better than that, sweetheart."
"better?" you ask jokingly, because what could make him better? anything better than that is a menace to society, you decide.
he sighs, shaking his head before cupping your body with his hand again, rubbing your skin in such a doting gesture that you don't expect his next words.
"i said a hundred, sweetheart. i didn't even make it to fifty."

It's like the greatest lie of a lifetime to convince women not to muscle train and to only be focusing on cardio!!!! Muscle building and strengthening is sooo important for overall health and is critical to good health as you age as well - and I was taught my whole life that I should be doing cardio to be skinny and toned and that weight lifting makes you bulky and that it won't help me with anything!!! And that's so backwards!!!! So many older women in my family struggle with getting injured easily and break bones with even smaller accidents and it's so crazy how many generations of women have been tricked into making themselves small and frail with eating disorders and restriction and endless cardio to stay slim when what their body NEEDS is the protection of muscle!!!! HIT THE GYM GIRLS!!!! This society is trying to poison youuuu! Not eating destroys your organs long term and your bodies ability to heal itself!!!! Please eat well each day + put in some muscle which yes means weight gain but it's there to help you!!!!!!
