this broken leg experience has made me realize how much muscle you need just to move around the house. I can walk without the cast now, but squatting to pick something up? kneeling and then rising? even standing for a long period in the kitchen takes a lot. and carrying things too, that’s something I couldn’t do while hopping about on crutches. every night I’ve been going to sleep with sore legs and arms just from performing my normal non-intensive household tasks.

They were very muscular beforehand too! They had to manhandle cultists attempting to kill them and their siblings, and had to work to take care of their own homestead. Cutting wood, farming, building, etc. All on their own! You get a lot of muscle that way.

Regulus being quite strong due to all his training, but it's covered by the fact he's pretty skinny (thanks canon for that singular bit of description for him) and unlike James he doesn't really try to show off his arms or legs or anything so James is weirdly shocked when they're paired up for an inter-house sports club to boost student unity and they're learning some rugby

They're only just practicing tackles and move on from the soft tackle bags to real people, when Regulus manages to drag him right to the ground first go without breaking a sweat

James is there staring up at him with stars in his eyes all 'wow you're actually so strong' and Regulus is like 'you should NOT sound so happy about that' and that is how James' crush is developed
