I know it would like. Appeal to nobody. But I am thinking of a Reva backstory fic exploring how she survived the rest of the Purge, got by as a homeless kid on Coruscant, and joined the inquisitors. It’s bullet points now but I’m thinking

I want to write something but the executive dysfunction is so strong.
I especially can't read something (new) because atm we are in the negatives for New Media Intake Tokens.
Mmmmmmmmmmm I'm very tired so I may go read something that we've already completed and pass tf out.

@cyraniadebergerac they have a joint Street Rat jar. When it’s full they use the credits to buy as much candy as they can carry and eat it on the highest roof they can get to.
Headcanon that the Ghost has a Childhood Trauma Jar where every time Kallus tells a “funny” story from his past and is met with horrified silence he has to put a quarter in

Street-rat Kallus believer but Ezra finds out soon after Zero hour (idk how) and they get kinda competitive about it. Meanwhile the rest of the specters keep getting more worried.
Also HC that Kallus has dental bridges cause dental hygiene/health care is probably terrible in Corruscants lower levels.
Ezra: Check this out. I once got decked in the face and a part of my back tooth broke off. (Opens mouth, trying to show the back of his mouth.)
Kallus:....
Kallus: (Takes out his dental bridges)
Ezra: Oh screw you.
--------
-On the Ghost at dinner (Zeb dragged Kallus to be there)
Ezra: I sometimes fished food from the trash. Honestly, you just have to cut off the moldy parts, really. People are so wasteful sometimes.
Kallus: I agree.
Ezra: So what weird things did you eat?
Kanan: Could you guys not do this at dinner?
Kallus: Anything digestable really. It helped me in the ISB's anti posion training, I think.
Ezra: Oh yeah? I also once drank 5 month old expired blue milk.
Saban: Well that explains a lot about you. Also disgusting.
Ezra: Hey!
Kallus: One day I was so thirsty I ended up drinking water from a muddy puddle.
Zeb: You did wh-
Ezra: How was it muddy. I thought Corruscants ground is all covered in metal.
Kallus: Well it was a liquid.
Everyone:....
Kallus: I also passed out and woke up a few hours later being high. So there might have been some spice or so in it.
Hera:... Well I'm done with eating for today.
Kanan: Yeah, me too.
Sabine: Same.
Ezra: More for me!
Zeb:...
Zeb: I'm not gonna complain about your coffee consume anymore.
Kallus: (slightly confused) Okay...?

Story Summary: It has been 10 years since Lothal was liberated from the Empire. As the annual memorial ceremony marking this historic event approaches, close friends and associates of the legendary Rebellion hero, Commander Ezra Bridger, are interviewed for a documentary being made to celebrate his life and achievements. Captain Garazeb Orrelios, a close friend and comrade of Ezra Bridger, has volunteered his time for the first interview.
First of a Five-Part Interview Series
The dive I find Captain Garazeb Orrelios, call-sign Specter-Four, is far from the Galactic Core and serves a peculiar type of clientele: current and former Republic fighter pilots, smugglers, Mandalorians, and any who find themselves wandering beyond the usual travelled routes of the galaxy. Sitting on a non-descript barren planet floating in the middle of an otherwise empty sector of space, the establishment has gained a remarkable reputation of being a "neutral place" among the people who live out here beyond the prying eyes of the New Republic. Mandalorians, bounty hunters, and even some of the more reputable smugglers all habit here semi-regularly.
Noting the name of the establishment before stepping inside from the arid heat, I am greeted by the murmur of quiet, friendly talk. The space inside is half-filled, scattered with an eclectic array of different species wearing the colors of their chosen affiliations.
I spot Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios waiting for me by the bar. Next to him is his partner, Aleksandr Kallus, an Imperial defector who once worked for the infamous Imperial Security Bureau. They wave me over to begin the interview.
Captain Orrelios; Agent Kallus. A pleasure and privilege to meet you both.
[Kallus nods in acknowledgement and sips at his drink. I get the sense he is studying me closely.]
Ah, don't mind him. Just old habits from the war. You can just call me 'Zeb', by the way. All my friends do.
If you don't mind, then I'll do just that.
Sounds great. So, you're here to talk about that goober, eh? About time he got a documentary. Deserves one, just like that Skywalker fellow everyone's talking about.
Goober? You mean Commander Ezra Bridger?
Oh, we're using the official title for him are we? He'd have a good laugh about that. 'Goober' is a nickname me and Sabine used for him. Cause he was a goober - it just fits, you know? Oh, he hated it at first but grew into it over time. Especially since Sabine used it so much. Said it made him feel special, when I asked him about why he didn't seem so bothered by it anymore. She didn't have nicknames for anyone else on the crew. That was always used just for Ezra . . .
[Kallus nudges him with an elbow. The Lasat shakes himself and looks embarrassed.]
Uh, you're not here to listen to all that, though. Sorry. Getting lost in old memories. I figure you want to hear the more interesting stuff.
No, this is perfect actually. This is definitely what I would want to hear in a documentary about Ezra Bridger.
Well . . . if, you're sure. Go on, ask me some questions then. You want to know how we first met?
I'd appreciate if you just wanted to talk more about Ezra himself. What kind of person was he?
[Zeb takes a moment to think about this. Then he points up towards the ceiling, where a row of various stormtrooper helmets - all different designs - hang from strings like grim trophies. With a small smile, the Lasat reaches up and taps one of them, a scout trooper variant.]
He was a thief. When we first met him; a street-rat that hit up the occasional unlucky Imperial patrol for food and supplies. Plucky little kid, if you can imagine, stealing from these Imps and bucket-heads. They would have shot him dead if they caught him - or worse, considering what he turned out to be.
I'm sure you've seen Sabine's mural on Lothal. How strong and serious he looks. Ezra was that, sure, but he was so much more also. If he ever comes back, I'm sure his head will swell just seeing how good she made him look.
He had a collection of these helmets when we took him on the Ghost. Sabine painted a few of them, as a gift. They were always his favorite. Over the years, as he grew up and the war continued, the collection stopped growing. Our enemies were multiplying . . . the goober needed to focus. So, I started to collect them for his sake.
[I observe the collection of helmets and note that there must over a dozen different variants hanging from the ceiling. Almost every type of stormtrooper design is present from the Empire's reign. Some of these would go for an astonishing number of credits on the black market.]
It's quite the collection. I'm sure Ezra would love seeing these.
Yeah. Took a bit to get all of these. He was just a kid, you know? I don't have any other input for this documentary, but I really want you to emphasize that Ezra Bridger was just this pipsqueak when he first joined. None of us knew what would happen to him, or what he would do. Not even Kanan.
He was just a kid who needed a home. So, we gave him that. I didn't always do right by him - to be fair, he was kind of annoying at times like most humans his age - but I hope . . . I hope he knows that I wouldn't change a thing about any of it. He was our kid. We loved him.
[Kallus pats the Lasat's shoulder affectionately. Zeb clears his throat, looks away for a moment to compose himself.]
I know you'll probably want to focus on the more heroic aspects of him, but that's how I remember Ezra. He was a goober. He was a kid. He and Sabine shouldn't have been fighting this war; sacrificing so much for it. That's the job for us adults. We're supposed to be making this galaxy a better place for them. Not the other way around.
A thief turned rebel. It's not an uncommon story for those who served in the Rebellion. The Specters were an already diverse group of individuals -
Not individuals. We were a family. Not in the literal or traditional sense, though. Sure, Kanan and Hera took on a more parental/mentor role in the group and, to some extent, you could view Ezra and Sabine as their kids. But it was also more than that. We were more than that.
We bled, suffered, sacrificed, and cared for each other. We cried for each other. And, yeah, we annoyed the kriffing stuffing out of each other. It was . . . in some ways, it was more fulfilling than my time as an honor guard.
How did Ezra fit into your group?
Heh, not easy at first. Hera was the only one who really made an effort at first. Kanan was still reluctant to take him on as a student, despite Ezra being gifted in the Force. Sabine - well, she's Sabine. Also didn't help that the goober had the galaxy's biggest crush on her during those early months.
Poor kid. Looking back on it now, I suppose I could have been nicer. He had to share a room with me, you know. I'm a huge snorer.
[He chuckles at this, sharing a look with Kallus. His partner just rolls his eyes and takes another sip of his drink.]
Yeah, it was rough for that first year. Everyone sort of eased into having him around as a permanent crew member after they had their own special moments with him.
Me and him - we stole a Tie Fighter one time, did you hear? That was a fun joyride. We were sent out to get meilooruns for Hera and . . . things sort of spiralled from there, heh.
When Hera and Kanan found out we were both sentenced to cleaning duties for a solid month. But that wasn't the event that really brought Ezra closer to the crew.
What was it then?
[Zeb takes a long sip of his drink, suddenly looking sad.]
Finding out about his parents. We didn't know . . . none of us know, until we caught up with Ryder - Governor Azadi Ryder, I should say - later on. They were still alive, incarcerated in a max-security Imperial prison somewhere.
After Ezra sent out his message to the sector, they must have heard him somehow. They rallied the other prisoners, started a riot. Ryder was stuck in there too; managed to escape because of their efforts.
Mira and Ephraim Bridger are listed as -
Still missing, I know. But they're dead. Ryder says he saw it happen, and we have no reason to disbelieve him. I know there was no record or recovery of their bodies. Believe me, we tried looking. Once the war ended, Hera and I tried to track down any lead to see if we could find anything - even just a scrap of their clothing for Ezra's memorial.
Nothing. They were lost, just like the countless others the Empire buried.
Just you and General Syndulla? What about Commander Wren?
She was . . . she was dealing with her own personal loss, at the time. We extended the invitation, but she never responded.
I thought the Specters were like a family? But records state that you all went your separate ways after the Battle of Lothal. You led your own squadron of pilots, while Hera Syndulla was promoted to the rank of General. Commander Wren -
Sabine was the only one to stay behind, yeah. We found a holo-recording, stashed away in his old comm-tower. Left there just for her. She changed after watching it. Hera and I never knew what he said to her.
Hera had Jacen not too long after that battle. I took Kallus back with me to La-Liresan, to help fortify their defenses, gather volunteers, and coordinate supplies with the Rebellion. And Sabine . . . well, she had her promise to Ezra to keep.
We lost Kanan and Ezra so quickly, one after the other. It just hurt too much for us to stick together after so much loss. We were all living reminders of what had been sacrificed. And staying on the Ghost - it felt too big, too empty without those two.
[The Lasat takes another big swig of his drink. Kallus glances at him, worried.]
I don't know how Sabine does it. Living there. She never went back home. She could have - but the crazy girl chose to stay. And she lost so much afterwards, too . . .
We all had our own things to focus on after the battle. The war had begun in earnest. The Rebellion had declared itself on a galactic stage after the Battle of Yavin. We were on the run, fighting for our lives, fighting to see another day.
Hera and I . . . we made the choice to move on. She had Jacen, alongside her duties as a Rebellion General. And I found new purpose with protecting my resurrected people on their new planet. We had to move on. Ezra would have wanted us to move on.
Do you remember the last conversation you had with him?
[Zeb seems to shrink within himself.]
I - I don't. I hate that I don't. I can't remember if we spoke before Kanan's death, or after. When Kanan died, everything else after that just turns to a blur.
You'll want to talk with Hera or Sabine, if you're looking for specific details about any of that before his . . . his disappearance.
Official New Republic record states that Ezra Bridger died during the Battle of Lothal. You believe otherwise?
[Kallus' gaze snaps to me, intense. I plow forward with my questions, trying not to show how unnerved I feel from the former ISB's agent scrutiny.]
I don't know. I want to believe, you know? But it's been so long. No one who has disappeared into the Unknown Regions has ever come back. Not even Thrawn came back. Wherever they went . . . there would have been a sign, I know it. Ezra's a smart kid, he would have figured out a way to send a signal or something.
Did he inform you of his plans before he left? Anything about where he planned to take Thrawn?
Ha! That was the whole point. Crazy goober. Part of me thinks he was making it up as he went along. But Ezra was a Jedi. A damn good one, too. Kanan would have been proud to see him at the end, leading the way for everyone.
To answer your question: no. Ezra didn't tell us anything about where he and the purrgils were heading off to. I don't think even he knows. Only the Force knows.
You never went looking for him?
[Zeb is silent, staring into his drink. Kallus watches his partner quietly. After a long moment, he stands up abruptly.]
I tried.
[Zeb turns and leaves through a back door leading into the kitchens. Kallus sees him go and then turns back to me.]
It's a sensitive subject for him, you have to understand. He wanted to look for Ezra.
Why didn't he? Ezra Bridger was his friend.
I forbade him. He was going to get himself killed. Zeb kept volunteering for missions farther and farther from the Galactic Core. Hera and I realized that he was scouting in the Outer Rim, looking for signs - any trace of Ezra Bridger or Grand Admiral Thrawn.
He got too reckless. People on his squadron almost died. After that, he was forced into retirement. Hera's intervention is the only reason he's not rotting away in a New Republic prison right now.
Zeb retired and settled out here? I don't understand. Why didn't he go back home?
[Kallus signs, takes another sip of his drink.]
He's still looking for Ezra, in his own way. Zeb had to get creative, you see. He had been stripped of his license to pilot. So, he found a plot of land on a planet no one was interested in and bought it with his pension. Pitched the idea of a bar for New Republic pilots flying patrol missions way out here as a place to rest and recharge; a chance to stretch their legs, after spending hours in a cramped cockpit.
Pilots who have been flying all over the Outer Rim. Who have probably seen and heard a few interesting things in the course of their duties.
Now you get it. He owns this bar, listens to all the folks who come in. Still looking for leads - anything he thinks could lead to Ezra.
He even named the bar in memory of him. I think he hopes that Ezra might wander through this sector in space someday, see the bar's name, and get curious. A fool's hope . . . but I dare not take it away from him.
But he can't follow up the leads himself, since he no longer can fly.
Correct. So, he sends the information to the one person who is still looking for Ezra Bridger.
Which is . . .
Sabine Wren.
[He pauses, thinking for a moment.]
Are you planning on interviewing her for this documentary?
Yes, of course. It wouldn't be complete without her. Why?
I advise caution. She was the most affected by Ezra Bridger's . . . absence. Time and further tragedies have not made her kind or open to company of any kind. Even from close friends.
[There's a yell from the kitchen. Zeb stumbles out, covered in soot.]
Kallus, the blasted caf maker is malfunctioning again! Help me out here, would you?
[Kallus sighs and rises from the bar. I take this as my cue to leave.]
Oh, by the way. I haven't heard anything regarding this documentary. It seems rather hush-hush for something like this. I've been asking around and no-one seems to know anything.
It's meant to be a surprise for the citizens of Lothal. The anniversary is coming up. My benefactor suggested it as a gift, to help commemorate Ezra Bridger's heroic sacrifice for the planet.
[He narrows his eyes at me.]
A surprise, hmmm? I'm sure. And who is this gracious benefactor supplying the funds for this project?
I'm sorry, I can't disclose that. They are a private person. I hope you understand.
[The former ISB agent stares me down. After a tense second, he relents.]
My apologies. Old habits die hard. If it's alright, could you send a copy to me and Zeb for review once all this is finished? It would be greatly appreciated.
I'll be sure to do that. Convey my sincere thanks to Zeb, if you can.
Of course. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to prevent my partner from burning this establishment down.
Leaving the way I come in, I turn around outside the old bar and take a quick picture, for my own record, of the name now that I know the origin behind it:
EZRA'S ROOST
END OF INTERVIEW 1
NEXT INTERVIEW: GENERAL HERA SYNDULLA
AFTER-REPORT
PRIVATE CONNECTION ESTABLISHED
The Benefactor: Were there any issues?
?????: None. Although the agent accompanying Orrelios seemed suspicious at times. I managed to prevent any further inquiries into my work, however.
The Benefactor: Kallus is intelligent and extremely competent at what he does. Do not underestimate him. It is likely he will continue investigating behind the scenes.
?????: Still unsure what it is you're looking for with these people. Seems like they don't have the information you're seeking. The Benefactor: That is for me to decide. Continue with your work.
?????: Of course. Logging out now.
CONNECTION TERMINATED

My submission for the @swprequels-big-bang! I had a lot of fun writing this and working with the artist, it was so fun!!
First lines under the cut!
Taglist: @laughingphoenixleader @day-to-day-thots @accidental-spice @heckin-music-dork @opalknight @cassie-fanfics @ana-cantskywalker (DM me if you want to be added or removed from the taglist!)
It was pouring rain over the province of Lothal, and it had been for the past three days. At times, it would slow to a lighter drizzle, but by now the roads were turned to thick troughs of mud, and the skies seemed almost permanently gray. Anyone out in this weather would be soaked through and chilled to the bone in minutes, even with a proper coat.
The citizens of Lothal seemed to recognize this, as there was no one out on the streets. No one, that is, with the exception of one figure, huddled in a doorway, trying to stay out of the wind if not the rain.
Shaking a few droplets of water off of his face, Ezra gritted his teeth, trying to keep them from chattering together. There wasn’t any real way to stay warm—his clothing was thoroughly drenched, clinging to him heavily. Still, he kept his arms wrapped around him, trying to at least preserve some illusion of warmth.
He had a spot to hide from the rain, and had planned on staying there until it stopped. But his tower was miles from town, and he’d been out of food. Perilously so. So Ezra had pocketed his tools, a knife, and a few other essentials, and snuck onto an Imperial transport heading into the nearby town.
That was the first day, before the roads had become impassable. Now, Ezra didn’t have a way home, and he was running out of places to hide. He’d stolen some fruit from a vendor on the first day, and the man running the shop had promptly sent the Empire’s soldiers after him. So Ezra had spent all his time and energy avoiding them—hiding on rooftops and in barns until the owners found him and chased him out, sneaking around and barely finding time to sleep.
He’d almost nodded off in the doorway when he heard the tramp of boots through mud, and shrank back into the shadows, praying he wouldn’t be noticed.
Sure enough, two soldiers appeared around the corner, both wearing heavy cloaks to keep the rain out. “Can’t believe we’re still looking for this thief,” one grumbled in disgust. “If he’s out in this, he’s either long gone or long dead. Good riddance either way.”
“At least we’re not with the patrol near the Dume Library,” the other said. “That place gives me the creeps. They say the guy running went blind fighting a wizard who burned his eyes out with a magic blade.”
The first soldier scoffed. “No such thing as wizards. He’s just a washed up old warrior from a forgotten time.”
“Yeah, well, at least he’s warm. You think Kallus is gonna let up on this thief and let us rest?”
“Not a chance.”
The rest of their conversation was lost to the wind as they carried on, not even glancing Ezra’s way. But he’d heard enough.
The Dume Library. He’d never been—a street rat didn’t really have time or a reason to read, especially not Ezra—but he’d heard the stories, too. The ones about the madman who lived there. But the Imperials avoided it, it would be dry, and it was closer than his tower.Good enough for me. Reluctantly, Ezra stood up, wincing at the chill of the air around him. Glancing back over his shoulder to make sure the soldiers weren’t turning back, he took a deep breath, then darted out into the street.

Ezra x Jacen’s Nany Reader
Hear me out….. there’s NO WAY in the galaxy that Hera leaves Jacen with only Chopper, I repeat CHOPPER as supervision… that droid has committed war crimes on a daily basis as a form of entertainment, simply because he could.
Sabine has been to busy being a part-time jedi apprentice, and looking for a way to bring her idiot best friend/brother Ezra back home to their Mama Hera..
Kallus is simply too busy as a stay-at-home dad raising his horde of Lesat cubs, while his hubby Zeb is busy working as a part-time recruit trainer for the New Republic..
So.. what’s a VERY pregnant Hera to do when she comes across a young girl, who happens to be the same age as the Son she had just lost, in the streets of a still recovering planet after the fall of the Empire? Watching as the girl gently tends to the sick and injured that others seemed to ignore.. all while this child is clearly malnourished and weak herself.
Surprise bitch, you just got adopted by the coolest Mama in the Galaxy..
Aside from helping Hera around the Ghost with chores, making sure the ship’s baby ready, and studying (because Hera wants to help her new kid after clearly observing her passion for medicine) she eventually becomes Jacen’s teacher and basically the family’s personal Doctor.. (and I mean the WHOLE family.. Zeb tried to avoid his annual check-up once.. wasn’t happy that Kallus ratted him out and basically tricked him into Reader’s office)
The main draw back that Reader seams to have in her personal life though??? Her severe case of “Resting Bitch Face” nobody seems to show any interest in her, and only her adopted family seems to not be bothered by it.. she even tries to do things to make her face less intimidating.. constantly being aware of her facial expressions and doing her best to keep her eyebrows slightly raised and a slight half smile on her lips…
Then Ezra comes back… and you bet your ass as soon as the crying, hugging, lecturing and overall emotional reunion is done.. Hera is dragging Ezra by the ears to get a FULL check-up by the most trustworthy doctor she knows.. and Jacen is happily tagging along, holding his “big brothers” sleeves while waiting for him to meet one of his favorite people.. the outcome is… somewhat unexpected.. Ezra trying to be charming and calling Reader’s “serious face” cute..
And Reader being genuinely flustered by Ezra’s awkward attempt at flirting…
Jacen.. is getting ideas, and Chopper is going to help him because CHAOS WILL RAIN!!!
……. and he’s got years worth of pranks to pull on Ezra.. might as well start now.. 😉
a gremlins Nany.
pairing: Jacen‘s Nany!Readee x Ezra Bridger
warnings: none
word count: 2,1 k
summary: You’re Heras most trusted person. Not only did you take care of her beloved son Jacen, no. You were and still are his Nany and best friend. And not only that, after Ezra’s return, Hera ofc trusts you with his check ups. And Jacen and Chopper have a lot of fun about this.
authors note: It’s not proofread, pls bare with me! 😭 I‘m sick and I gave my best to make it as good as possible :´D I hope this makes sense, I‘m not really familiar with medical stuff, especially when it comes to Star Wars 💀
anywayyyy
enjoyyyy <333
imagine this being Ezra waiting for his routine checkups, thank you xd
Tumblr media
As she walked through the streets she didn’t fail to notice a young girl, helping the people in need.
Her way with the injured and sick was more then just gentle.
Despite her own visible weaknesses portrayed by a weak body.
After each treatment she only left them to treat the next one if they reassured her that they’re fine.
„Thank you so much y/n, wouldn’t know what I’d done if it wasn’t for your help“
Said an elderly woman, truly a heartbreaking scene even if this girl was a complete stranger to her.
was.
It didn’t take her long to approach the girl, she waited for her to finish the treatment on another injured citizen before she started to talk, startling the girl on front of her.
„Hey there..“
The girl turned around and met her eyes with the stranger, her gaze was shocked at first but soon turned into one of adoration as she looked at the pregnant woman in front of her.
„H-Hey..!“
„I‘ve been here for a little while and couldn’t help but notice your way of helping your people… could I ask you a question?“
The girl looked up to the green Twi‘lek while nodding a yes.
She didn’t know how to form the question since it was a rather personal one and let’s be honest.. they didn’t talk yet.
However, this planet belonged to the ones with the highest death rates, seeing the poor girl alone here, weakened and injured.. where were her parents?
„Do you have a family here?“
As if she saw it coming the girl nodded a no, a sad expression laying bare on her face.
The Twi‘leks heart ached for her.
She just lost one child, seeing another one, assuming at the same age as him.. it was too much to just stand by and do nothing to help.
„Would you like to become part of my crew?“
y/n looked up at her, not fully believing her ears yet.
„Are you serious..?“
„Yes“
And just like that a huge smile appeared on her face.
„Of course I’d love to!“
The woman returned y/n‘s smile and offered her her hand.
„Name‘s Hera“
„Name‘s y/n“
-
A few months passed by from the moment where you firstly walked into the Ghost.
The ship wasn’t the biggest but oh force, you’ve never felt more at peace then when you got to enter your cabin.
The ship was cozy and it even had a medbay!
Hera then decided to inform you about the other crew members and their activities.
That’s also the reason why it was so empty.. however.
Soon you were able to meet everyone, except one boy who Hera told you was missing.
Sabine grew the closest to you (after Hera and chopper ofc).
Even if her timetable was loaded with Jedi training stuff, you two always managed to spend some time together.
Zeb worked at a part time recruit trainer for the New Republic while Kallus stayed at home, making sure that their horde of Lesat cubs wouldn’t destroy everything.
Chopper is Chopper.
There’s nothing more to that since we all know how he is.
There’s no way that Hera would’ve trust him enough with her still unborn child.
Soooo.. with Kanan gone and Ezra missing, there’s only one person left who she’d trust enough with her baby.
You.
You were studying medicine, something you wouldn’t be able to do without Heras help.
She became something like a mother role for you and ohhh my goodness where our excited for the day the baby would be born.
She didn’t have to ask you, couldn’t even since you started to turn the ship into a baby safe place.. at least the most possible version of this since it’s a spacecraft after all .
Hera was moved to tears, seeing how much effort you put everyday to ensure her baby’s safety while everything that Chopper did was to mess with your stuff.
Yeah you were the right choice, no doubt in that.
„Hey, could I ask you to do me a favor? But before I tell you what it is, just know that whatever you’ll answer is allri-„
„Yes I want!“
„What?“
The woman was too stunned to speak.
„But you don’t know what I’m going to ask you..?“
„If I want to take care of your baby right?? Please tell me that this was your question???“
There was a spark of excitement on your voice that made Hers heart to flutter.
She didn’t know if it were her hormones or her (for now) clouded judgement but she immediately hugged you, fighting back some tears.
„Thank you..!“
-
Some years passed by and thanks to Heras help, you were able to actually get an official status as doctor.
That wasn’t your only ‚job‘ tho. You were also a part time nanny for Jason from the moment on he was born.
Being the most trusted person available on the ghost pushed your ego, making you think that you can perform both of your ‚jobs‘ at the very same time.
It did make some things harder for you, but it was her baby after all, he was worth it.
People who knew about your story would say that you’re literally shining in comparison to your state from when before Hera found you.
Others at the other hand were kind of scared off by your resting Bitch face, not showing any interest towards you.
Your new family didn’t seem bothered at all by it, not even Jacen, but you still gave it your best to improve your facial expressions.. they never faded tho.. .
So when the day arrived where the boy called Ezra returned, Hera instantly had an assignment for you.
She and basically everyone of the ghost crew used to tell you stories about him, how he made the ultimate sacrifice to safe his crew and Lothal.
Ten years had passed since then, since his disappearance and since you’ve been as good as adopted by Hera.
The days after the big news.. we’ll it’s safe to say that you never saw her this emotional in your entire ten years.
Not even when she was pregnant with Jacen, and this is a statement.
You weren’t there when he arrived since you had some patients waiting for their treatments, but you soon found out about the happy news when Hera called you through your comm link.
And not long after you heard her knocking on your door, dragging an middle aged man by his ears, while Jacen tagged along, holding him by his sleeves.
She asked you if you could take a look at him, a very good one since he’s been absent for like.. I don’t know… 10 years?
Yeah, sounds reasonable.
„Please do a FULL check-up. You’re my most trusted doctor on this galaxy.“
„Of corse Hera, well then Ezra.. Please take a seat.“
He freed himself from Heras and Jacens Grasp and went to sit on the special chair.
Ezra seemed to be excited about the technical stuff that surrounded him.. you’d be too if you’ve been stranded in the middle of nowhere for a decade so.. .
„We’ll wait outside, just tell us when we should come“
Said Hera and with that she and Jacen left the room, leaving you and Ezra alone.
„Okay then.. how are you feeling? Are you injured? Sick?“
Knowing how Important he is to Hera you tried to somehow neutralize your „special“ expression.
And he seemed to notice this, you barely knew him and he already started to change his attitude around you.
„No, I‘m totally fine“
He had a grin on his face while you raised your eyebrow at his answer.
„I still need to take a look at you so-“
He already started to take his shirt off, I mean he didn’t have to, just you her push it slightly upwards but you weren’t complaining.
Nope.
Not at all.
But you had to keep yourself professional.
„Why did you take your shirt off?“
„For the check-up..? If I’m not wrong that’s what patients to for the lung part?“
„Ah- Yeah sorry. Yes, ehm, thank you“
You checked his heartbeat, his lungs and everything you could do at the moment.
There was one thing that concerned you.
Not his health since it was in a good state.
But the way how he made you feel.
You tried to keep a straight, neutral, friendly face while looking him up, but he made it impossible for you.
„You’re cute“
„What?“
Your movements froze for a short while, this kind of comment was unusual.
„You’re cute. You know.. the way how you try to keep your face straight“
„You’re serious?“
„Yep. Why shouldn’t I be?“
He was charming, handsome, kind, you only knew him for a very short time. Like for real. But there was something positive around him.
And it flustered you.
„Thank you“
„Just telling the truth“
-
Unbeknownst to you two, a very curious Jacen was leaning right against the door, squeezing his ear as close as he could and boy did he smile when he heard Ezra talking to his best friend.
„Jacen, you know that it’s rude to-“
„He told her that she’s cute“
He whispered, loud enough so that Hera understood him.
And her face lit up.
„He what??“
„Shhh.. come here and listen“
This private moment, at least to your knowing, made you happy.
There was finally someone who immediately found interest in you, someone who wasn’t blinded by your facial expressions or your attempt at looking natural.
Weeks passed by and he turned out to continue to be as charming as he was the day you met him.
His genuine, true, loving self made you fall im love with him and the same goes for him with you.
Hera was happy to see how both of your presences affected each other for the better and Jacen was sure that he was destined to play your matchmaker.
And chopper didn’t let this chance go by.
Jacen wanted to help his best friend and his big brother and Chopper had years worth of pranks to pull on Ezra.
Chaos will rain
And even if Ezra had warned you that he sensed that something would happen, nothing could ever prepare you for what was to come.
It was a peaceful day at your office.
Your last patients for today waited in the waiting room and Ezra was one of them.
Hera didn’t leave him any other choice then to go and get frequent check ups from you just in case that he really didn’t catch anything on Perridea.
His frequent check ups became known to Jacen and Chopper and they saw the perfect opportunity in this to pull their first prank on you two.
Jacen hid behind the shelf with a music box while Chopper disguised himself as something fitting to his surroundings.
They knew that you’d welcome him into your office with a hug, your relationship witch him had gotten better and better and Jacen didn’t fail to notice this.
Knowing this was the base for this prank.
As Ezra neared himself to open the door to your room, opening the door and greeting you, Choppers mini metallic arm reached out and electro shocked his leg, making him loose his balance and fall straight into your eyes.
The pose you found yourselves right now was more then unexpected as his fall took you by surprise.
Jacen then didn’t waste any more time and played on the ‚play‘ button of the music box, playing some semantic song which seemed to be popular.
Chopper then took a photo, beeped some things and left the room with a grinning Jacen as fast as he could.
Your patients where beyond confused at the scene and went to your office to check if everything was alright.
As you saw them looking you two up and down… your face became the deepest shade of red known to humanity.
Ezra’s too.
This ‚incident‘ may have helped you two to get closer but you were still shy about it.
Jacen and Chopper however had other plans and lets just say that this was just the beginning.

Ok so welcome to my overhaul of my Street Kid Kallus concept. Some things haven’t much changed, but for the most part things are v different. It’s gonna be long so I’m putting it under a Read More. Feel free to make suggestions cause there are parts of this that I still haven’t fully figured out yet 😅
(One more thing, I’m going to be using his first name or Alex or Sasha for Kallus in this. Just letting everyone know now to avoid confusion)
Let’s go!
For some reason I love giving characters siblings. So Alex now has a twin sister he grew up with on the streets, Theodosia. (Her name will be getting shortened to Theo or Dosie from now on)
The family resemblance is very strong between them.
Neither of them remembers their parents. As far as they’re concerned they don’t have any. They’re just lower city street rats trying to scrape by.
Thankfully they aren’t on their own long. A gang leader with a reputation for having a lot of kids hanging around known only as Ma takes them in when they’re around 10-11.
It’s more a gang in name only, but the group gets involved with some of the turf scuffles. They’re more interested in scouring the lower levels for interesting and valuable things left behind or dropped in order to turn them into something valuable or sell as-is.
Alex and Theo take to the group pretty well. They make a core group of new friends, new family, that they stick with more than anyone.
There’s Bea, a transfem Twi’lek who is a medical prodigy. She’s only two years older than them and has no formal training, but studies everything she finds and can patch people up by hand better than any medical droid anyone on the lower levels can get their hands on. She also does some body mods for extra money.
There’s also Kitsch. He never knew his name but someone called him that somewhere along the line and it stuck. I’m considering him being a Zabrak. He’s a great engineer. That goes for engineering weapons and ships. Alex gets into racing because of him, as well as getting more into tinkering with droids and code.
And there’s someone else that I think is going to be a Mirialan that I don’t have a name for yet. But I think she was a padawan very briefly before deciding she wasn’t a good fit and leaving, ending up with the group. She’s a bit odd but loves history and has a good eye for determining the value of things.
Things are overall pretty good for Alex and Theo. It can be pretty damn rough and there’s always the risk of Alex dying in the races but he’s a great pilot in that regard so he doesn’t worry. And Ma had taken a liking to them. They’re good at managing things and working good under pressure. To the point they seem set to eventually become her seconds in command.
But then the group of friends get to talking, specifically about how deep they’ve all gone to salvage things. And that’s when Alex and Theo get it in their head that they want to go as deep as possible. To the lowest layer of Coruscant, just to see. To know what’s down there.
So they go. Just the two of them and whatever supplies they think they need and can carry. It’s a rough trip and it takes a good while. It just keeps going. And going. And for a while the deeper they go the rougher things get, even beyond what they were used to.
Eventually though. Eventually things thin out. They reach layers where people have more or less abandoned in favor of moving up. Parts of the city that are so empty it becomes easy to forget the amount of people on the layers above.
Finally they come to a place where between the buildings is not metal, but rock. Dirt. The corpse of a planet strangled by the constant need to build. The two of them simply lay down on one of those areas of earth, looking up at the metal above them. That’s when things really change. Alex tells Theo that he won’t die there. He can’t die there.
Not there there, in that exact spot, but on Coruscant in general. He wants off the planet. Wants to go somewhere that the planet hasn’t been choked. Where you don’t have to struggle upwards so hard to see the sky. Where there is simply more space.
Fast forward a while, the Empire is just getting started and it is opened up to other people. Theo and the others have a really bad feeling but for Alex this is his chance to finally get away from the planet. Maybe not immediately, but it’s at least something that will get him there.
Ma is the only one to not tell him that if he leaves, if he goes to join the academy, that they don’t want him back. She’s the only one to give him a way that he’ll always be able to call if he needs to reach them. He never intends to, knowing the others would never want him back.
Think I’m gonna leave this one here since that kinda starts getting into adult Kal and his issues. Maybe I’ll do a second part for that if people want. Or just feel free to ask questions if theres things you’d want to hear about, my askbox and dms should be open!

Why it makes sense that Kallus would be a street rat
1. Kallus is the only other character in the show aside from Ezra that is seen pickpocketing
Tumblr media
2. He is a quick thinker
3. He doesn’t complain about the sewers
4. He is smug about Ezra escaping capture and seems to predict Ezra’s tactics.
5. He believes in Ezra’s abilities even when others don’t take Ezra seriously.
6. Despite Wullf Yularen being his mentor father figure Kallus doesn’t like clones which doesn’t make that much sense because I think Yularen would be fond of the clones or at the very least still hold respect towards them. Despite this Kallus seems to have a dislike towards clones even more then his his dislike of Lasats that he displayed in earlier seasons of Rebels.
Tumblr media
7. Another thing to note is that Kallus almost got kicked out of the academy but why?
8. Kallus also acts like Coruscant is a new place to him which doesn’t really make sense because he’s from Coruscant. This would however make more sense if Kallus was from the lower levels as the environment would be extremely different.
9. Kallus is probably one of the only imperials that willingly turns down promotions to stay in the field. He has also been known to give others credit too.
10. He is inconsistent in his behaviour and clearly has anger issues. Despite Kallus being good at hiding his emotions he’s not really good at controlling them which is a key indicator of poor upbringing or parenting.
I’ll add more to these later. Feel free to add your own ideas as well.

For the WIP Ask Game anything to share on ‘Five things the Spectres found out about Kallus and one he told them himself’? I’m always obsessed with Kallus slowly opening up the Ghost crew
Oh thanks for asking! And yes, I absolutely do have stuff to share about that! And I agree, Kallus slowly getting closer with the Ghost Crew is something so dear
With this one, it's a 5+1 fic and the main theme is- as the title says- things about Kallus that he keeps to himself and the Ghost Crew uncovers. I have a list of things abut Kallus attached to the crew members
Past- Ezra (it's mostly connected to his backstory as a Sewer Rat/Street Kid in the lower levels on Coruscant- my favourite trope ever)
Guilt- Sabine (I like to think about Sabine and Kallus Being Besties™- and there's such a huge potential too. Kallus and Sabine both being defectors and having similar pasts- at least about academy and the Empire- us just so much to work with! So here Sabine catches Kallus having a quiet panic attack ambecause he spiralled himself down to it with overthinking- she helps him calm down and they talk about defecting from the Empire and the guilt that comes with changing sides)
Overworking- Rex (the clone captain wanders around the base because he can't sleep, he figures he might take a calm, quiet walk at night- and then he sees Kallus sitting on the floor outside of the Intelligence HQ with a datapad and a few pages of reports on flimsi- he asks what he's doing there, since it's already around midnight and he looks like he needs sleep. Kallus says that he needs to work and that Draven literally pushed him out of the room when he was closing it for the night so Kallus just stayed and worked here- Rex rightfully calls it stupid and forces Kallus to have a walk with him- they take a break around the temple and as they sit and watch the base and the nature and the stars Kallus falls asleep on Rex's shoulder- this is also a friendship I cherish in fics, okay? 🩵)
Food- Kanan (when they eat in the mess or on the Ghost and Kallus is with them, Kanan notices something- he might be blind but he's the first one to realise that Kallus barely eats. And so he carries on with an idea already forming in his head and alongside that he realises Kallus never asks for medical help either or any help for that matter. Like he's trying to make himself as little liability as possible. He corners Kallus about that and after a lot of pushing, Kqllus finally breaks out a "I don't want you to waste resources on me". Oh believe me, they're gonna have a long talk)
Birthday- Hera (it's a foreign thing for Kallus to celebrate one's birthday- because the Empire sucks- and so after seeing how strange and out of place he looked when the crew threw a party for Sabine, Hera made a point to look through his file and throw him a party when it's his birthday 💚)
+1 Name- Kallus shares with Zeb (I just NEED Zeb to be the one to hear that, okay? A name is something so important about one's identity amd person and Zeb having shared his name of Bahryn with Kallus is just gonna make a full circle when Kallus shares his name with Zeb)
I love this wip dearly and I might work on it soon, since you already reminded me of its existence 🩷💕🩷

I just realised that the look Hera and Kanan give one another after they learning Ezra got taken by Kallus in the pilot is even more worrying because they know he's force sensitive. The kid is carrying a jedi holocron! He would've been brought to the Inquisitorius if they hadn't gone back for him. Kanan knew that Jedi were brought to Mustafar to die. Zeb had no idea Ezra wasn't just some ordinary street rat and I wonder if that made him feel extra guilty once he realised.
