sooo…

I have lots of Au’s, and the name’s basically spell them out, but if you find interest, pick which one you want me to delve into first! I’ll go from most to least voted :3

The deep dives will include lore, character designs, and concept art

Small summary of each au before you vote!

Decayed Au: The ninjas have been killed, but their souls remain in their bodies basically a Michael Afton au kinda TW for basically major character death and some gore

Spirit Au: The ninjas are all spirits who have been worshipped since their demise, but when Lloyd’s spirit goes missing, the others seek the help of two teens to try and get him back

Guardian Au: The ninjas are guardians of their tribes, their mantel has been passed down to them after generations of elemental masters. When Guardians begin to fall, the other ninjas try their best to protect the remaining tribes, but Sora, a new arrival to Ninjago, and Arin, a boy whose tribe fell while he was gone, investigate just what happened to his guardian, Lloyd

Streamer Au: The ninjas are all popular VTubers, join them, as they face paying bills, paying taxes, buying groceries, all while facing doxing threats

Jays other mother Au: a Prime Empire Au where Libber was one of the first people who got sucked into the game along with Scott. Jay meets his mother, and he can’t figure out how to proceed with this info

Lightning and Energy brothers Au: Jay gets adopted by Ed and Edna, and a few years later, a tiny baby is also dropped off with a note. Jay takes it upon himself to help protect his baby brother, Lloyd, from the other kids, who point out Lloyd’s inhuman behavior

Stray Cat Au: All of the ninjas are living in a rental and are trying to pay for college, when they hear what they think is a cat rummaging through their trash, and run out to find a blond boy, and despite better judgment, they take the kid in

Grandma Mystaké Au: In which Misako decides to call in a favor, and Mystaké agrees to raise Lloyd while Misako tries to find a way to save her family. Mystaké trains Lloyd to control his Oni powers and abilities early on, and the two get up to lots of mischief together

Remember the Cat!Kai AU?

Cai is literally just a cat, still the master of Fire, he's just orange and loves Nya. He's like 20 and still looks like he's barely a year old. He still comes up with all his canon plans and only their enemies question Cai being the Master of Fire- until he bites them with his Firey Fangs.

He's exactly the same as canon Cai, just meows. Flame was his dragon still. He still can summon his elemental dragon. His deal with Lloyd was mostly the water pranks, but when the kid was in trouble he accidentally pictured Nya and couldn't help but save him.

Every Single Stray cat in Ninjago is treated well because nobody knows if that's a new Elemental Master. Every Villain past a certain point gets a pet cat thinking it will throw Cai off. It doesn't, he just has a lot of cat friends now.

Cai absolutely knows how to drive any vehicle or mech he's in. Yes, even a motorcycle someone lent him. It's like he's a person when driving them, but he's just got his paws on the wheel.

He also can't speak. He just meows. He still gets his point across. Nobody except Nya could understand him at first and nobody knows why.

Nya is the only one allowed to get water near him unwanted. He takes actual showers still, he even has cat shampoo he uses. Nobody is sure how he uses it or where he gets it-

I can't remember if I brought it up on tumblr, but I remember talking with someone on tumblr about Ray giving Cai his powers in a moment of sleep deprived madness/affection much to Maya's tiredness, but it was already done and they couldn't exactly take it back

Do you, or anyone actually, know where/when the '-bowl' sufix started being used in Fandom? Because I can't find any kind of origin, and surprisingly Fanlore doesn't have a article about it (as far as I checked maybe I didn't search well?). I just found and know that it's used for kinda old and relatively new fandoms, thanks to a two-year-old Reddit post.

For anyone who doesn't get/know about the '-bowl' sufix: is basically an All × One thing. For example, if you encounter 'Dekubowl' this means that Deku, the character, is shipped with everyone or that at least everyone else have a crush with Deku.

I can only think of the 'Super Bowl' (just as one comment in that Reddit post suggest) for its origin, but when we talk about Fandom culture we never know. It could have originated from anything no-related to the Super Bowl, LOL.

Ooh, interesting. I've never heard of this in my life, and I have no idea what a -bowl suffix is supposed to mean, even if I guess it has to do with the super bowl.

It's not surprising Fanlore doesn't have this if it's coming from BNHA or somewhere similar. Fanlore is fantastic on the history of Western "Media Fandom", zines, K/S, etc. It's much weaker in areas that OTW early adopters haven't spent as much time in.

You should write the -bowl article yourself!

I went into AO3's tag search and looked for 'bowl'. I found 1311 tags, 90 of them canonicals.

I'm seeing a ton of references to the Super Bowl, dust bowl AUs, pet play with pet food bowls, Dream in the fishbowl, unending uses like "I'm crying into my bowl of cereal as I write this", "bowl of honey nut feelios", "bowl of pornflakes", "me shaking the food bowl of sbi wilbur-centric angst: come get y'all's juice", etc., and plenty of references to YOI katusdon bowls. Lots of fandoms and episodes have 'bowl' in their titles.

Zeroing in on more related things, I'm seeing BNHA over and over and not much else...

EXCEPT!

Fruit bowls!

I see scattered references to "let's add him into that whole fruit bowl" and "the whole fruit bowl is here" and so on. Some of them are crack fic where everyone is a banana, but a lot of them seem to be a metaphor for "everything together".

Okay, I just spent far too much time trying to categorize tags. Out of the 'bowl' ones, about a third appear to be this kind of sense (counting by number of tags, not number of works).

Game of Thrones has a bunch, but they refer (as far as I know) to which characters will hypothetically kill each other and emerge victorious, not to group shipping.

Some tags I found, like 'edelbowl' sounded more like a group ship than an X/everyone. I also found a scattering of tags that were like 'all of them in a bowl together', which is probably related.

But mainly, what I found is that this is from BNHA and it's recent.

The other fandoms where I found it were:

That's giving me a very distinctive picture of a fan who's probably in their 20s or 30s, mostly like anime and some video games, and is not the type that edits Fanlore.

There's nothing actually old here: it's recent anime and stuff that is still a megafandom, like Naruto.

I'm seeing a scattering of 'dekubowl' from 2017 and then other character tags taking off in like 2019. This is definitely a recent trend in terminology, at least on AO3.

*clasps hands* CAN YOU??? oh get ready for this i have sm to say

• for starters, morro wu is the name they go by!! the very first time sensei wu heard morro refer to himself with it he cried so hard

• morro is nonbinary, going mostly by they/them and he/him pronouns, but if you used she/her or anything of the like they wouldn't mind :)

• biromantic and greysexual!! can you tell im projecting yet?

moving onto my purely personal stuff:

• they play violin!! they picked it up after coming back to life. the wind responds to the song their playing. its a beautiful sight

• morro %100 needs glasses. do they get them?? no

• his gi's now associated more with the color yellow. he wanted to move away from green, and yellows pretty (and one of the few gi colors not taken already)

• cats!!! they love cats so much!!!!!! feeds all the strays. they love him

• the once green stripe in their hair is now grey, and they have a ghost scar across their left cheek, reaching all the way to their chin

• 100% was forced to read starfarer bc of jay and lloyd. he says he hates it (he ADORES it)

• they wear skirts and dresses when they feel like it!! clothes they can feel their element in? fuck yeah!!!

ok now done with the personal headcanons, onto more specific stuff :)

• in my 'morro is revived/redeemed/he just stays like we all wanted him to' au he does not move in directly with the ninja, instead living higher up in the mountains, in a small town southeast of Ninjago city. they feel at peace there, up in their element, away from most modern technology.

- both he and the ninja liked this decision more, while wu did not, but I'll get into their individual dynamics more later

-he doesnt really talk to anyone from the village, but anytime he goes to buy supplies and stuff he tries his best to give money and food to the homeless he passes. especially children.

-the children of the village therefore deem him a myth, some tell ghost stories of him, and others call him a good luck charm. morro thinks this is adorable, really, and plays into it; giving vague fortunes everytime a kid points him out.

• the ninja and wu definitely come to visit him sometimes too, and no matter how many times they do so morro's always suprised they care. the first time lloyd came to visit them on his own they were so astonished for like the next month

• whenever there's a world-threatening villain present and they need his aid, it is painstakingly obvious. they normally come to him all chill, but whenever they need help they come to him like akward in-laws.

- *sliding inside their door* "heyyy morro-"

- *exhausted sigh* "what is it now? another giant snake???"

NOW speaking of his relationship with the ninja

• this is a vv common headcanon, but morro and cole would become friends the fastest i think. oh? you were a ghost too? you like food?? quiet and prefers to not be in social situations??? hey bestie

- bonus thing: morro hasn't heard of cake because they were first an orphan/homeless, and when they were adopted by wu they were too focused on getting their body in perfect condition to eat sweets. therefore, a conversation between them has most definitely happened like this:

- "hey, morro, im craving sweets, wanna go get some cake?"

- *genuinely confused* "whats cake?"

- "..."

- "cole???"

- "oh you poor sweet summer child"

- tldr; out of kai, zane, jay, nya, and cole, morro and cole get along the best!!

• i think morro and jay would get along mostly by jay being the one who informs him of modern technology. y'know, teaching him about it. morro flipped his lid the second he learned what a microwave was.

- i also think jay brings out his inner sassy side. they have a lot of nicknames for each other.

- oh also also you know how nya can move ice if she tries hard enough? jay can just barely move wind, same goes for morro with lightning. they definitely use each others powers responsibly

- (jay almost caused a minature tornado once and morro made a week long power outage. they don't speak of those things)

- tldr; morro feels rather relaxed around jay. even if he takes a lot of their energy, its not too hard for them to get along. they would probably cause doomsday if left alone together for too long tho

• morro and zane!! or as I like to call it; therapist friend to therapist friend

- while untrusting of morro for a while, Zane was able to connect with them by seeing their walls come down

- i think morro would go to zane to vent if need be, hes a great listener. same goes vice-versa.

- both wind and ice are very reactive to their weilders emotions, so like it or not, these two have to bottle up their feelings sometimes for the safety of others

- thats why they work so well together, actually. fire, earth, lighting, and water arent as emotionally reliant. and we're getting 2 energy

- whenever zane is over and makes food morro will steal some or get thrown out the kitchen trying

- tldr; their friendship is very (heh) chill

• kai and morro!! aka 'i don't like you very much but we have the common interest of protecting lloyd to make up for past mistakes so ig ill tolerate you'

- unstable relationship!! they bicker the most, lloyd mostly being the peacekeeper

- they have their moments tho

- i think kai would've found morro in a vulnerable state once, like crying or having a panic attack or something, and he just sat next to him and held his hand

- they both refuse to acknowledge that happend, but they were nicer to each other after it

- they don't get along very well mostly to kai holding a grudge, but morro doesn't blame him. they haven't completely forgiven themselves, either

- i do think they made a small storm once though, using their powers. just out of boredom. it was beautiful

• and last but most certainly not least: disaster cousins! i cant fit these two's entire journey together in this one post, but I'll highlight the most important bits

- loyd was terrified that morro survived the drowning of the Preeminent, so he was immensely relieved that morro wasnt staying with them

- the first time they saw each other after styxx shit was so akward. they were left alone in a room together for 5 seconds and they hated it

- lloyd never wanted a verbal apology from morro, saying that the only way they could probably get forgiveness is through action

- only got close to morro after he proved himself through his actions. i mean, after helping them and Ninjago many times, lloyd couldn't say he hated them anymore

- the first time lloyd visited on his own with the intention to just, like, hang out; morro broke. mf bluescreened. thought he was hallucinating for a solid 20 minutes.

- they play video games together and read comics and the like.

- they rarely do anything like sparring tbh. whenever they're together they let their inner children come out

- lloyd: *bringing out a coloring book and crayons* "hey I know we're like in our early 20's but-"

- morro: *snatching them* "y e s"

- Morro's EXTREMELY overprotective to compensate for what hes done. lloyd doesn't stop them, he knows it makes them feel less guilt, but it does get a liiitle overbearing sometimes

- wu bawled once he learned they were getting along, the hardest he cried in a while

Anyways, first off, Fundy get to be the green ninja, as a treat. Also, I just want Tommy to have an awesome character arc where he comes to respect and love Fundy.

Dream can be either Garmadon or Harumi. Both work honestly. I feel like Wilbur would be some kind of long forgotten elemental master that Phil abandoned, ooh, ooh, maybe he could be like Morro. That would be really fun and not at all traumatizing for Phil. Maybe that's how we can include Ghostbur too, because then defeating Wilbur would mean killing Ghostbur.

Tubbo take Jay's role because yeah, he does that. He also represses so so much.

I wanna say Eret also kind of takes the place of Harumi, becoming best friends with the group, only to stab them in the back.

I'd honestly say for like roles and stuff, it'd be Tommy=Kai, Tubbo=Jay, Fundy=Llyod, Puffy=Nya because both are awesome, Sam=Cole.

Ranboo can be some random stray they find on a mission that Tubbo immediately decides to marry, but surprise surprise, he's a sleeper agent for Dream. This will end well.

Also, Quackity gives me Pythor vibes. Dream can go after Tommy, and Quackity can go after Fundy. Because those two characters aren't already traumatized enough in canon.

And if Wilbur takes Morro's place, that means he either ends up possesing/manipualting Tommy or Fundy. Both work honestly and make it so, so much worse.

Sorry this is a ramble. I guarantee you I'm gonna come back with more ideas. I love Ninjago to death. Seriously, I am willing to carry this whole AU if I have to.

Whew, okay, this ask was from a While ago before we revamped the au, so i'm gonna answer this to the best of my ability!

Jack is actually our green ninja, so tommy's arc is with him. But we can still have an arc of tommy and fundy bonding! Fire vs. ice, so naturally they have a bit of a rocky start to the relationship (plus fundy is a robot built by wilbur, and tommy has No idea how to deal with that). They make it work, though, and tommy learns how to fix his hardware without frying all the wires.

Dream is a serpentine, alongside the rest of the dteam and sam. They're a little fucked up but they haven't killed any humans yet so that's a point in their favour.

Eret is actually our skylor! Master of amber, part-time employee at a noodle restaurant, full-time traitor :DD. They get tommy to confide in them, especially after niki was taken, and then turn their back on the team because whoop-de-doo their father is a villain. Fun!

Ranboo as a sleeper agent? I actually love that. I don't remember if we gave ranboo a role yet so let's do that :>

Wilbur isn't morro but dammnit if i'm not a sucker for the possession trope. Oh goodness these kids are gonna be so traumatised.

Human Morro headcanons

> Morro was brought back as human in this AU but now that he no longer has something to be evil about he a lot more calm and quiet

> He still has obvious distain for the ninja but at the same time he enjoys training with them, makes him feel as he’s a part of things again even if he rarely goes on any missions with them

> He actually leads a more normal life working in a little bakery just on one of the very edges of Ninjago city, right there by the wharf.

> The only thing he was able to nail down and afford in the senses of a place to stay was a sailboat down at the docks.  He still currently lives on that sailboat even thought he has enough to get an apartment.  He loves living on that sailboat, something he never thought he would love.

> He’s extremely aloof and quiet, almost to the point he’s near mute.  His co-workers at the bakery assumed that he’s some poor mute kid that wandered in from outside the city and took pity on him giving him a job that's come to work like therapy for him

> He has no friends besides Nya and the strange girl that comes in a lot to talk his ear off about her day and make jokes about him being her boyfriend.  He’s not opposed to the idea of the girl likening him he just finds her a little too much of a chatter box, though on the other hand she does respect his space and privacy; stepping out of his way and standing back when she talks to him, even asking him if he needs help when he drops something or messes up

> she’s becoming another highlight of the days he works

> Morro is not much of a snitch when it comes to crimes in his city.  If it doesn't effect him and his life he doesn't care.  He will only tip the ninja off if he feels it is a threat to anything in his life or to his life its self

> He’s still angry and bitter that he is not the Green Ninja, it fills him with depression but he’s finding better ways to cope.  Wu and Lloyd are not his favorite people but he can mask his feelings

> He finds Jay to be annoying and Kai to be far too pumped up.  He better gets along with Nya, Zane, and Cole.  He gets along with Zane and finds Zane to be very kind he also finds Zane creepy for some reason 

> Those markings on his eyes when he a ghost followed him into becoming a human only they are far lighter.  He tried to get them off but nothing he did would get rid of them

> The city really does not see much of him at all.  Morro spends a lot of time bundled away in the haul of his boat sleeping, scrolling social medias, and drawing pictures of cool guns, cars, or planes.

> Morro is extremely territorial, He doesn't like anyone ANYONE at all coming into his space, into his boat, and touching his things.  Not even that girl that chats his ear off even knows he lives in a boat 

> There was actually a huge event when Morro called out of work once for the next couple of days then fell off the face of the earth.  Worried to death Morro had done something stupid the ninja did a wellness check on him.  They found him horribly ill, delirious with a fever, and just about being smothered with stray cats that raided his boat.  He screamed at them to get out but they still forced him to go the hospital for care

This is a long post about Avatar and Ninjago and it mostly contains story!!! Because some! Of! This! Setup! Is! RIGHT there!!! And I like it very much. I’m sorry it doesn’t have many pictures! I do not control my right hand, but I do control how much I can yap about avatar and ninjago. READMOREではある

Our story begins with Kai and Nya, because they’re dramatic and I love them.

Kai and Nya are siblings, currently traveling on their own around the world with their not-actually-their-uncle-or-grandpa, Garmadon. Because Wu doesn’t get to be Iroh, even though I have to give up Garmadad for it — don’t worry he immediately adopts Lloyd once he meets him.

Kai and Nya used to live in the Fire Nation, emphasis on the used to, because while Kai is a firebender, Nya is a waterbender. She started displaying waterbending abilities at 12, and 12 is not a great age for control. And they could only have gotten the two distinct bending styles from their parents, blacksmiths in the royal courts, so in an act of political trash-fire-ness, Lord Chen finds this out thanks to royal jerkwad Clouse. You Know. Fire Lord Chen.

(Kai challenges him, in a fit of protective anger, to what is supposed to be a clean agni kai, but someone cheats. He actually can’t see all that well out of his right eye, anymore)

And Chen being who he is, he brands them all as traitors, presumably killing their parents, allowing the children only one lifeline to regain their honor (and home, and life, and—), and that’s to find the missing Avatar. You know, the one who’s been gone for a hundred years? Silly, impossible task, meant to get rid of them.

So they do.

Meanwhile, by which I mean a hundred years before this, Lloyd is happy. Really happy! Their temple is sweet and calm and brimming with life, he’s being taught by (his absolute favorite) the monk Wu, and he keeps being happy until he’s told, one day, the whole village is told, actually, that he is supposed to be this great and powerful being. This incredibly godlike human boy, with the power of destruction and creation at his fingertips, and though he doesn’t want to be, the title of Avatar is given to him and most everything else Is taken from him.

He’s scared, now. Mostly.

And you know the story — terrified of the choices made for him, of his own destiny, he traps himself by complete accident for a century, until…

Kai and Nya do find the Avatar. Traveling near the water tribes (dangerous, but theirs is not a fire nation ship)

And he’s… small. Admittedly.

Uuuuunlike his very large flying companion.

(Did I mention flying bison gets swapped with an energy dragon? Wind dragon? Very, very tied between naming the dragon Morro and naming her something less angry. Like Skittles :P)

Lloyd reminds Nya of a puppy. He reminds Kai that their entire lives hinge on bringing back (to his death) bringing (killing) this one, scrawny little kid. It’s so, so easy, and though they’re outwardly nice, they both know what has to be done. Until…

Listen.

Lloyd is made of light. He radiates power, sure, but he radiates confidence and happiness and surety and it will be okay and morning runs along the beach and warming up by the fireplace and… he… has this infuriating ability to shine straight through the cracks made of doubt in your heart.

Kai doesn’t think he can do it, after a while. After seeing how his life got torn apart, after getting one too many cautious smiles and getting into one too many silly and only slightly dangerous situations that end in a hug, of all things, the twins agree. There is no way they’re taking Lloyd back to the Fire Lord.

So they don’t.

The’re different. They’ve traveled, they’ve learned, Garmadon is so proud of their growth he takes them out to the best tea they’ve ever had (which is weird because Lloyd always thought it was just leaf water) and they think that maybe they have a purpose again.

They want to help Lloyd take down Lord Chen.

Along the way, they pick up a lot more stray puppies.

Jay’s not supposed to be in the Earth Kingdom, but there he is! They’d probably kill him if they ever found out he was a Fire Nation refugee, because that whole concept reeks of suspicious. Which is why he hardly ever bends (and when he does, it’s not firebending it’s lightningbending) and keeps his handy-dandy best friend earth bending buddy with him.

And Jay has wanted to do something about *gestures* … all this, for forever. Incredibly nervous and constantly fiddling with some sort of tiny contraption as he is, he’s willing to tag along with the group. He’s the one who convinces Cole, probably the only Earthbending teacher they’re going to find, to come with. Cole is very, very apprehensive, because this is very dangerous, particularly for… actually everyone in the party. This is just very very dangerous. But Cole always wants to help, and after some shenanigans, begins to teach the young Avatar earthbending.

So things are like! Great, right! You got all the elements. Except like… that’s it. That’s basically handing a kid a glock and telling them to murder this one specific dude but giving them no other info. Research would… be nice. Probably.

Lucky for everyone stumbling into this yokai library, Zane is a researcher! And not a teenager, though 20 is barely not-a-teenager territory. He’s been in the library for years real-time, a couple weeks to his perception, but he’s learned so much. And he actually doesn’t super want to leave until he realizes its a very dangerous time-sinky place to be, and he can always come back. Besides, he was always taught to help those who can’t help themselves, and helping save the whole world from the Fire Nation is kind of top of that list, huh! FRIEND: GAINED

And the SIX of them go off and have ADVENTURES and TRAVEL and DO ELEMENTAL THINGS and SOMEONE SHOULD BE BUMI BUT IDK WHO, and the mailman is the cabbage seller, and Skylor isn’t Azula even tho I love Azula Skylor is like more of a Mai character, but Pixal is there too, I haven’t figured too much out but anyways Garmadon is Iroh and that’s the only thing you need to know. Lol

Ninjago OneShot (AU)

“I’m not wearing that,” Lloyd stated, turning away from the clothes that laid in front of him.

“Typical,” Daniella muttered.

“Lloyd’s right. We can’t wear this. It goes against everything we stand for,” Kai agreed, holding the shirt out in front of him, observing.

“So, you’re willing to do anything for those who live within the kingdom walls; but for those of us on the outside, the side of misfits and mistakes, you won’t do everything? What kind of knights are you? If my memory serves correctly, you all swore ‘to protect all those who cannot protect themselves’. If you can’t uphold your oath, you’re not knights at all! You’re just the puppets of the King!” Daniella snapped. She wasn’t aware that the moon stone in her hand had transformed into a staff, responding to her anger.

“You’re one to talk about breaking oaths! You swore you wouldn’t hurt us knights or the prince and yet you wield a staff to strike us down!” Jay snapped back.

“What?! I would never break an oa-” Daniella stopped when the gleam of her staff caught her eye. She slowed her breathing and mentally begged the staff to transform back into a stone. It slowly responded; both ends began to disappear, leaving the stone in the palm of her hand. She turned and walked to the window, gazing out at the horizon.

“Look, no one on this island knows that you’re here. If you don’t want to help, I can send you back to the mainland and I’ll figure out some other way to stop the darkness from spreading.”

     For a moment, no one spoke. The prince gathered his knights around him so that they could speak in private.

“She’s giving us a chance to leave. I say we take is,” Lloyd suggested.

“Your Highness, with all due respect, I don’t think we should abandon them,” Cole argued.

“Are you kidding? We can’t trust her!” Jay shouted. He quickly covered his mouth, realizing that he yelled. Daniella drew her gaze from the window and looked at the group. Cole could see the hurt in her eyes. She turned and quickly left the room; Cole followed her. He grabbed her arm and made her turn around.

“What?”

“Daniella, I know you heard what Jay said.”

“So why did you follow me? Don’t you feel the same way as the others?” Daniella asked, a stray tear falling.

“No. I don’t feel that way. I trust you. I’ve felt like I could trust you since I met you and I don’t know why. If they want to go back, then they can. But I’m staying here. Not because of the oath, but because of you. You make me feel like I belong, even if we don’t see eye to eye on some things,” Cole answered, letting go of her arm and wiping the tear from her cheek.

“No one has ever said that to me, ever.”

“Well, I want to be the one that says it to you every single day. That is, if you want me to stay.”

“Dani!” Lloyd called as he and the others turned the corner.

“Dani, we’re sorry that you heard what you did. You’re right, we will break our oath if we don’t help you. We’ll stay, if you’l let us stay.”

“Of course. I’m sorry if I let my temper get the best of me. I’m not good at keeping it under control,” Dani apologized.

“It is okay. We are at fault; we were being difficult,” Zane assured.

     Daniella smiled as she walked past the group, heading to the study. The others stood in confusion.

“Where are you going?” Cole asked/

“Well, I’m not going with you to watch you change. Come to the study when you’re ready,” Daniella answered with a smile.

“But I don’t like those clothes,” Lloyd grumbled.

“We all have to deal with things we don’t like in life Your Majesty,” Daniella commented as she walked away.

i dont rlly have a lot about Gordon and Jasvinder specifically, only that i want to believe they were actually in love and i want to give gordon the benefit of the doubt.

they met when gordon was in an off production in between roles in advertisements as a young up and coming actor, and Jasvinder was fresh out of turmoil w other elemental masters (a story for another day) and performing as part of the chorus. started out on lowkey dates and eventually when gordon moved into Ninjago city, jasvinder went too. eventually, she told him about her element and he was fascinated by it and her.gordon told her the reason he Hated being called cliff was bcuz the name belonged to his grandfather and he didnt like the association. they shared a lot of things w each other. 

they werent married when jasvinder got pregnant w jay and they Were young at the time, so in her panic, she ended up leaving w/o telling Gordon the whole situation about herself or their kid. she ended up mostly homeless for a time, unsure of where to go and running low on funds, until she found herself on ed and edna’s doorstep. they gave her the help she needed for the time being and she promised shed try to help them if she ever could

jasvinder is the one who left jay on their doorstep w gordon’s address in case they ever wanted to contact his father, but as time would tell, they never did. 

ed n edna i dont have a Lot to say about, other than edna is a trans woman in my design, and that ed is about five years older than her. 

they dont know jay’s Legal last name, Dulca, and his adoption is mostly swept under the rug in the eyes of everyone else @ least. 

i always imagined edna as being kinda like the old ppl i knew in our small town up by the farm; surprisingly fashionable and v kind looking. a love for patterned shirts and a heart too big for her own good. she brings home stray animals a lot and jay grew up around all sorts of odd creatures from garter snakes to hairless dogs. most got adopted by others or taken to shelters since they couldnt exactly keep the pets, but they do have a large mastiff named Othello in one au plot of mine.
