ive been thinking about Dr Light's KV backstory a little more bcuz i need lore outside of the twink robots

so far i have his parents, some of his childhood upbringing, and his relationship with Wily growing up

Thomas was raised in a more rural area for a good chunk of his life until he made like the country mouse and was interested in branching out towards the city, where he found the robotics university he attends later in his life. this is also a reason why his labs are further away from the city, he finds it comforting

he also had a few cats. he likes cats

he also actually knew Wily before college, but it was only an acquaintance "i know that guy because no one moves out of the blasted place", plus Albert was probably a troublemaker for a good few years [he cleaned up around highschool so he could go to the college he wanted], they became friends freshman year of college out of shared interests [and Thomas was like "woah wtf this guy actually has scientific interests??" and its surprising bcuz Albert was like some wannabe greaser for awhile lol]

and a little more about his parents, Mamaw Jo [Josephine Light] and his unnamed dad who is cool

Jo was raised rurally while his dad was a city boy.

i was actually gonna make his dad dead but then i was like "nah" for some reason. he might die *later* in the story bcuz hes old as fuck but for a good while he's still alive ��

Jo is more of the "innocently insensitive" kind of older person who just doesn't really understand new things

his dad is an interesting case. hes actually bisexual [if the timeline is like ours then it was frowned upon in his youth, if its in the future he just never told Jo's conservative family. i never decided if KV takes place in the future like canon MM], and hes a lot more open minded than you'd expect of an old timer like him 😋 he hung around with fellow queers as a youngin so he doesnt mind his grandkid robots being queer af

Jo is kind interesting, she'd probably be more open minded than one might expect due to how quickly she accepted the robots as her grandbabies. she was confused at first but adapted to them quite fast and i dont see why she'd be "robot grandkids are just fine 😁 BUT I HATE THE QUEERS ☝️😠🤬"

like they want to tell her about their gayness and transness n stuff but they just don't really know how

Thinkin about Dr Light's parents [his parents are still around in my au,,, yes they are old as hell] ,,, they are interesting characters 😋 i kept them in the picture because I wanted the robots to have grandparent connections bc of my own personal projection lol

especially papaw [no name yet] because a lot of the conflict comes from mamaw Jo and their grandpa isn't as important of a character, which if course makes him more intriguing lol 😭💔

I might go dig up some discord lore dumps I made about them and Dr Light's past bc Kattoverse focuses on the 4 too much [hyperfixation you know how it is] and the other characters are interesting too 😁

"Things are tough out here, so it's a good thing we found you, huh? Come on. My name is Arrowseeker. Don't worry, I'm the leader up here. We've got warm dens, fresh prey... I think you've held your own long enough!"

Summitclan Chronicles (abbreviated as SCC) is a roleplay based in the Adirondack State Park on a fictional mountain peak. Adorned with its own long-abandoned trails, edged by road and river, and well-populated by ferns, berries and trees, the mountain sets a perfect stage for a small population of feral cats to suddenly become something new, unique and special.

This roleplay heavily features themes of community, mutual aid, character building, story progression and slice of life exploration; it seeks to dig deep into what the daily life of a Clan would truly look and feel like as a culture, as a friend group, as an identity and as a living unit made up of individuals that grow and change as they interact.

We open in 2024! Keep an eye on this blog - we'll be answering asks, posting advertisements and diving into what this roleplay actually tastes like when sampled. Until then, these are the basics you'll need to know about that coming opening:

Acceptances will only be offered to those who have a DMable Discord account, as the roleplay is based entirely on discord with resources hosted on Google Docs.

Every player will only have 1 character at a time. In order to have a new character, the old one must die or permanently leave the clan.

After the Grand Opening, the roleplay will become semi-public; new members will have opportunities to join as new kittens, loners/strays, or as a part of a band of strangers as part of a wider plot. People who do not get accepted during the Grand Opening are able to opt in for getting contacted down the line for such opportunities (so long as their application was acceptable).

Most of Summitclan's lore is a secret. As an observer you'll be privy to a few select shared things, particularly: holidays, a few landmarks, and their base belief system. People with characters that do not have a True Name (aka warrior name) will not have access to the lore until they get their Name and, until then, will have to learn the lore organically from those who have access to it.

In Summitclan, your legacy lies before you. There is no single arching plot to bump or nudge your story; only naturally-occuring events and situations brought on by other players. Everything that happens in the roleplay is the result of strings being tugged in the complex web of clan and mountain peak living. No matter what you do, your character(s) will leave cats behind who will be affected by them, sometimes cats they've never met. Will their names be said with chins held high, or in hushed, fearful whispers?

22. What writing programs did you use? Did you write by hand?

Typically, I write in WordPad on my laptop. Occasionally, I write in OneNote, too. These two programs have the same appearance for specific syntax like em dashes and quotation marks. When I use Google Doc, I have to change all the syntax to match.

I haven't written by hand since I was 16. I have the callouses to show for it though, especially on my middle finger because I would continue writing when I had (plopped) blisters on my fingers. It's frankly quite annoying.

29. What's left on your to-do list for 2024?

My New Year's resolution for 2024 was to write 12 fics for 12 months. You can see 8 works for 2024 on my profile so far.

There's one TopWan fest contribution which is still anonymous but should be revealed today. That would be 9.

I have SATELLITES for my Obikin Discord Secret Santa (fully finished and ready), too. This fic, I will post on December 25th. That is number 10.

I posted a poll for a Christmas fic. Picking Up Strays was selected. A fic in which a night sister turns Anakin into a cat. Obi-Wan doesn't know this, so he's a little too loose-lipped with the poor stray he picks up on Dathomir. Anakin's crush on Padmé doesn't stand a chance when he learns certain things about Obi-Wan. That would be 11.

So, we're missing one fic. And I have a conundrum, you see. I do not exclusively write Star Wars. So, I can easily pick a fic I wrote in 2024 for a different fandom and post it. There's one work in particular I rather like. However, I don't think anyone who reads my fics is waiting for that, and I'm not sure it counts.

So, I still have the 12th fic, and absolutely no clue what I'll do.
