— How did your oc discover themself? Did something cause them to question, or did they always know?

Dean always found everyone pretty regardless of gender, even when he was younger his crushes were all over the place. He had a time where he wondered if he was a lesbian and asexual during his teens but he was just very disinterested in his boyfriends at the time.

When it came to gender he went on a whole roller-coaster ride and it was his sibling coming out to him as genderfluid that set off his own questioning. He settled on transmasc enby when he hit twenty, he likes everyone else thinking he's Just a Guy.

— Is your oc's environment supportive about their identity? How does this impact them?

Hope County in is not a supportive environment as a whole but it has enough other queer people that he's managed to make his own close knit, supportive circle. He doesn't let the occasional bigot get to him (he is very happy to kick their asses if they don't buzz off) and he feels safe when he's with his family and close friends.

When he finally finds himself under Edens Gate's "protection" it actually makes him more comfortable to fuck with his presentation because who's going to fuck with deputy turned Seeds traumatised fucked up guard dog?

— How did you figure out your oc's identity?

I projected onto that lil dude so hard and I projected one of my favourite characters onto him also (dean winchester my beloved) He's honestly just grown with me and so has his identity!

(we all know he started off as my self insert, it's pretty obvious, but he's grown into his own creature atp that I still heavily project on to)

— Do you have preferences about depicting homo/transphobia in your stories? What, and why? Does it vary by story?

I'd say it definitely varies from story to story! When I depict any bigoted characters/interactions it's usually as a form of coping and I don't write it very often. I actually prefer alluding to the event and going more in depth with the repercussions, like with my WIP 'An Ember of a Memory' I really wanted to focus on the aftermath and how Eden's Gate would deal with such behaviour (a few more rounds in John's bunker will surely fix him!).

oc asks!

aubrey is an ex netwatch agent who has been sent to the spaceship elysium after [checks notes] dropping his coffee in front of his boss. yeah. basically aubrey is a very clumsy guy and this was the last straw for his boss so. space time for aubrey. he ended up with netwatch in the first place because of hacking into their servers when he was still in college; or. well. his friends were in college and he just lived there on campus with them LMAO but yeah he would often do tech support stuff for people and they often dared him to do dangerous things, including hacking netwatch servers which eventually led to him joining them. and then space happened

elysium is a spaceship me and @reaperkiller came up with by the way :^) one day i'll drop more lore about it and draw some concept art for it but tl;dr it's like the crystal palace but it was supposed to be more focused on just being a beautiful escape from earth for anyone who wants to go there, very cheap and accessible tickets etc but unfortunately the project cost too much money so the founders had to work together with arasaka to make it a reality which then led to arasaka basically pulling the strings in there and there's a BUNCH of shady stuff happening inside

aubrey joined elysium security where he worked for less than a year in total. about six months in something happened in elysium's secret labs which eventually led to a ship-wide outbreak of weird creatures called prototypes; cyborgs and robot/human monstrosities created by arasaka for the upgraded APEX program (if anyone wants to know more about that please send me another ask because it's too much to explain here LMAO). after this incident, elysium was left in shambles and aubrey managed to escape with some others and make it back to night city in one piece

nowadays aubrey runs a club! it's a queer club called bodytalk (inspired by the bar i go to sometimes) and it can be found downtown. he runs it with his sisters and also has a fixer business going on in there! basically managed to pick up his life after elysium pretty well, though there's a lot more that he ends up going through with his friends. but that's a story for another time SHKGLDFGJD

Daemons for my boys perhaps? 🥺

COUPLE'A DAEMONS FOR THE BESTEST BOYS COMIN' RIGHT UP!!

OKAY FOR VALOR I IMMEDIATE THOUGHT OF A GECKO!! There are a lot of types of Geckos and I am leaning towards the more brightly coloured ones to match with the cyberpunk (and Valor's) style.

Lygodactylus williamsi are a nice teal colour and are described as bold, active and social, which could align pretty well with Valor! (They're also critically endangered which is pretty sad :">)

Geckos are nocturnal, have night vision and are able to scale mostly anything, all of these things I think aligns well with Valor and his lifestyle! It'd be easy for his Daemon to just ride around in one of his pockets or on his shoulder and help him on any job he goes on! Since Daemons are personified souls I'm not sure if they could get any cyberware but if they could Valor's Daemon could get some enhancements to help with hacking or the like!

I think the Gecko works because it's a bit of a reflection of a need to be able to move and get away from situations in a way. And maybe could show a subtle want to be seen (bright colours) but the need to be untouchable (small and able to stick to the ceiling lol)??

For Heath I am leaning towards a type of dog just because of the type of person he is, either a Labrador retriever, Doberman or maybe a Blue Heeler to stay closer to home!

I think the Blue Heeler works well for him after what I've read, they're known to be active, driven, people pleasers who are very loyal! It would make a good Daemon for him and fit into his lifestyle pretty well and as they're easily trained they would have passed his army training with ease.

They're very family orientated and cautious around strangers which I would say matches the vibes Heath gives me, his Daemon would be fiercely protective of his family (including Coop, even after the long years apart). Having a Blue Heeler as a Daemon would also add another layer to his outward "golden child" thing, since they're very popular, friendly and hard working. (And this could have caused some more strain between him and Coop 😔 big sad...)

And for Ward I'm tied between a Horse or a Widebeast!

From what I get from Ward's vibes he's quick in a fight and can kinda sense when someone's about to draw on him, so this matches up pretty well. Aside from that his Daemon being a horse would be pretty convenient for both of them and since Daemons try to settle as something that'll reflect their human this one really does make sense to me!

Also this because Ward on his revenge path would need a Daemon that wants the revenge twice as hard lol In this case his Daemon would chuck out the forgive part ashsjshshs

Wildebeast's are high endurance, nomadic animals which would fit with Ward's lifestyle pretty well too. They usually travel with a small herd but they're known to be pretty on guard and can fight off predators pretty well. (I saw some pictures, their horns do some damage and I think that'd come in handy if Ward gets into a fight!)

Again that aligns with Ward's travelling around thing, and if he really wanted to or he lost his horse he could still catch a ride on his Daemon. I think I am leaning more towards Horse though!

Remember how I said Lena would be uncovering skeletons from Fazbear Entertainment's closet in my Five Nights at Freddy's WIP More Than Bargained For?. Well, the corpses of children stuffed in animatronics after being murdered by a serial-killing co-founder isn't the only think she discovers; Lena, with the guidance of one "Mike Schmidt", she also uncovers a history of tragedies surrounding one family feud in a house full of nightmares and a forgotten rental service too. Unbeknownst to the young Elliot woman, she is inadvertently aiding Mike under the company's untold policy of "Paragraph 4", with the intent of bringing all Fazbear-related animatronics back to one ultimate pizzeria. What could possibly go wrong?:

Now on one hand, I don't initially believe this song actually fits my Wings And Horns WIP. However, on the other hand, in relation to Jezebel Ba'al's story (and maybe a bit of Cadet Azriel's too, being the implied soul of a particular bearded cult leader's dead daughter and all, plus committing to her service as an Angel of Death just so she can finally reach reincarnation), I think this can fit within the context of a story that's centered around the pros and cons of living in a world where a divine system like the Soulmate System exists, especially when you have two young characters like Azriel and Jezebel, the former hearing nothing but good things about having a Soulmate while the latter (and other's like her) have been directly harmed by the system's flawed structure, and how both are influenced by their well-meaning if extreme father/authority figures:

[*Given rust is more for metal, rot fits well enough for both physical flesh and the "soul flesh" that Cadet Azriel and Jezebel have both experienced. **I used "live" instead of "leave" because even... well... the latter doesn't really make much sense in this context, while the former can be interpreted as Jezebel saying "we all want to live our lives without being it being predestined for us" especially with out trapping being fated to a soulmate can be (especially for the likes of Jezebel whose experienced a bad fating, and Azriel wants to be reincarnated so she can live again, but not be stuck in a similar fate to Jezebel if she gets the chance of rebirth, so at this point, here is where Azriel's opinion on the Soulmate System begins to shift].

In the unnamed Fallout 2 WIP from my A Radioactive Calamity Of Love, Bombs & Gore series, Ore returns to California (where last time he was there, his father Arcane Urias had mutilated his face after Ore declined joining him on his quest of human destruction) after exploring the Wastelands a bit more and to say goodbye to a good friend. However, instead he not only meets his friend's granddaughter Finidy Mona, but also finds evidence that his father has returned in the area. He decides to partner up with Finidy to help him track down and kill his father to stop him and his nefarious deeds by retracing his steps from Shady Sands to New Reno. This also relates to how, chronologically timeline-wise, this WIP is the last prequel of sorts and closing the chapter on Ore's story in California plus Urias and Talos' origins before the focus goes onto Ress.

Fucking poetic considering what he does and who comes crawling out of it. While Logan is an unpleasant and selfish person, he himself becomes a vessel for all the good things he'll pass on to his successor; someone that will succeed against the destined odds where he and everyone else failed.

RICO (LIFE, DESPAIR & MONSTERS [CYBERPUNK 2077])

Staying in Night City (whether it be for the guy you were always at the beck and call of, not just out of loyalty and idealism, but genuine love, even if he didn't necessarily share the same love you felt and eventually became a stranger to you, or for the mentored young woman you see so much life coursing through her veins within a city as horrid as NC, and also see so much of yourself and the other in, yet is cruelly destined for far less than she deserves and spends that little time with others that aren't you, knowing this goodbye is the last goodbye you'll ever make as she leaves behind everything for those final months of something better... or maybe you stay because it's all you've ever known and believe you'll be useful in) does not have much benefits.

Ever wonder if, in spite of how much you try, you're just destined to be alone? Lora chases after something things that won't ever leave her fulfilled or satisfied. In the end it's this that dooms her to solitude.
