You awake with a jolt, glancing at the clock and realizing that you’ve slept through your alarm. You glance over to the man next to you who’s stirring awake at your sudden movements. He’s lying on his back, shirtless with an arm behind his head as his eyes slowly begin to flutter open. 

“Oh my god, I’m going to be late!” you exclaim, trying to scramble out of bed and bringing the sheet with you. Last night had been amazing and you hadn’t expected to spend the night with Hugh. It had only been your third date with him, but throughout the night, there had been a lingering tension of what the night would bring. 

When he invited you back to his place after dinner, you were excited to accept. To be able to spend uninterrupted time with him behind closed doors without worrying about someone asking for a picture or an autograph was something you were looking forward to. You had both been sitting on the couch – you with your glass of wine and him with his – before the effects of alcohol coursed through your veins and gave you the courage to straddle his lap. 

He had looked up at you in surprise, but with an excited look in his eyes. Hugh had immediately rested his hands on your hips and groaned to himself when you pressed yourself further into him. He wanted to be a gentleman, wanted to be respectful of you and your boundaries, but the more time he spent with you, the more he found it difficult to keep the pent up frustration to himself. His hand could only do so much and he was finding that he needed more relief. He needed you. 

So, when you agreed to come over to his place, Hugh was excited. Not only because of what could happen, but because he was starting to like you more and more with each date. He didn’t want to scare you away, but you had promised him that his lifestyle wouldn’t deter you from pursuing a relationship with him. And it was true. When fans came up to him, you gave him the space and distance he needed but also went so far as to offer to take the picture for the fans; you knew how important Hugh’s fans were to him. 

When the paparazzi would follow him, you’d be right there by his side, just as polite and kind as he was. He knew that not many people could fit into his life, especially after the success of Deadpool & Wolverine, but you managed to fit in so well – like you had always belonged by his side. 

And last night… Well last night was amazing. Falling asleep with you in his arms had lulled him to a deep slumber and it had been a very long time since he had a good night’s rest. Hugh had convinced you to just spend the night, that he’d wake up early today to make sure you leave on time for work, but he was just too comfortable. Too relaxed with you by his side that he had slept through his own alarm too. 

When he hears you mumble under your breath, followed by your sudden movements, Hugh slowly opens his eyes. He sees you from the corner of his eyes lifting the sheet above your chest, covering yourself. He grins to himself, having remembered that you both had fallen asleep naked. 

“What are you doing?” he whispers, the hand behind his head reaching out to gently rest on your lower back as you sit up. 

“I’m going to be late for work, Hugh,” you answer. “I should be at home, already on the way to leave and–”

“Take the day off,” Hugh interjects, eyes gazing up at you. “Spend it with me.”

“Hugh, I can’t. I have a big project that I need to get done.”

“Will it be done today?” Hugh asks.

“Well, no, but–”

“Then at least you’ll have something you can do tomorrow.” Hugh smirks.

You shake your head and go to climb out of his large bed before his arm snakes around your waist to pull you back into bed. He turns on his side and pulls your body flush against him as your back rests against his chest. 

“Hugh…” you whisper, feeling his naked body press against you from behind. You can feel his lower half begin to harden, begin to stir awake at the close proximity. 

“Call in sick, baby,” he mumbles, lips lowering to pepper soft kisses along the back of your bare shoulder. Hugh’s hand slowly dips lower past your abdomen, inching closer and closer to the place between your legs. 

“You’re a bad influence,” you whimper, rolling back into him as your hand reaches down to grip his wrist. 

Hugh grins against you, leaning up to gently nibble at your earlobe. “I’ll take as much time with you as I can get, baby. Now, let me have my breakfast, yeah?” 

You’re about to ask him what he means before he moves to hover above you, lowering himself further and further down the bed until he disappears underneath the sheets. You feel his breath against the inside of your leg and when he licks a stripe up the center of your sex, your back arches and you reach down to grip onto his hair. 

“God, good morning to me,” you whisper, eyes falling shut as you let out a quiet moan.

i think its very fun to consider the mc as another king like obviously not the same way as the devil kings but in two ways: one being that you are the descendant of the wise king, solomon, and what he had has been inherited by you, but also as in the mc having rule over a very small, but wholly devoted kingdom.

and by that i mean minhyeok.

sure it was a kids game, him swearing his loyalty to you and you ordaining him as your knight, but that kids game became his reality. he is your only subject but he will never leave you. whatever he can do to protect you, he'll jump to it in a heartbeat even if in the end it costs him his life. but a king cannot be a king with no one to rule, which is why when it was your turn to save him there was no hesitation to literally make a deal with the devil to keep him alive. and he will wait as long as it takes until you return and he can be by your side again

Doom Prompt 16: TEEF

A semi writing prompt from my Doom Discord, tied into the Garnets story.

we were talking about how the Slayer's teeth are likely that liiiiittle [lot] bit different then normal. and John has some interesting teeth he very good at hiding normally. you don't spend so long in hell without being effected after all. he doesn't want to scare his humans- child no why?

Heather wiggled once she successfully climbed up onto the bed, looking around but seemed pleased she was the only other person other than the not quite man as he was turning to see who was invading his bed. She could feel John snort or huff as she flopped over his side. There was that deep vibration that followed, echoing in her bones in that strange but now nice way.

Annoyed-Affection.

The girl giggled as a large arm moved over her and just as big hand was placed gently over her head. Heather enjoyed the attention given as a small head rub, then she was being picked up and pulled around to John’s front. She smiled and pressed her head against the pink shirt he had on. Heather could smell petrichor even more as she was snuggling shamelessly against her guardian. 

John hummed the tones of Heather’s name, the real first sound he made since going to sleep. Smiling as he settled back down on the bed, giving the little back a gentle rub with his knuckles. Even if she did not weigh much of anything to him, John was glad the girl had flopped on his side and not on his still sore hip. He smiled as she wiggled up closer to his head level.

Silly Flower. John signed lazily as he settled down, feeling small hands patting at the scarring on his neck. He was feeling drowsy again, settling into that healing sleep before yawning. Heather was not pinned and could get away if needed-

John just about choked and barely kept himself from biting reflexively. He stared down into the big brown eyes of the little girl. Arching an eyebrow in a silent question. 

Heather blinked back, looking all too innocent as she still had her hand in John’s mouth. Holding the teeth of his lower jaw, then pushed at his lips to look up at the teeth of his upper jaw. Staring intently at what had caught her attention, being so close for the first tone to realize that some of his teeth were different.

The demigod rolled his eyes, then head and gave a mock growl as he leaned forward, catching Heather’s little shoulder in a mock bite. Hearing the squeal of confused play as the girl squirmed. 

Now he was awake, and had a hold of the girl again to let her wiggle away, only to pull her back with another play nibble on her arm with no pressure.

the idea that jc is the main character of mdzs is so nonsensical its almost laughable to me honestly. he couldve been /a/ main character if mxtx had focused the narration around both wwx and him. it wouldve changed the story to be the tale of two brothers instead of being primarily a love story but all the components of the existing story couldve remained intact as one half of a two sided story. however even then he wouldve been one of two main characters. ive thought quite a bit about it over the years since i read mdzs and i cannot think of any way to tell the events of the story with jc as Thee Main Character™. the main plot is driven by solving a mystery that jc had a passing knowledge of, at best, so even if mxtx had focused the pov entirely around jc the way she did wwx, it would be debatable if he was actually the main protagonist or if he functioned as an outsider pov to the main events. i mean that wouldve been an incredibly interesting choice and i wouldve had sooooo many Thoughts about how he’s barely the protagonist in his own story, but thats not the choice mxtx made

obviously i like certain aa cases over others but i feel like i have a generally neutral at worst opinion of all of them that it just sucks that certain cases get to be the fandom punching bag with supposedly no redeeming qualities or whatever (NOT TRUE) no fandom is immune to this for sure but god i really wish everyone a spoiler-free and fanon opinion-free playthrough of aa as possible

i like turnabout big top i like the franziska gumshoe shenanigans in it and i really liked acro i like recipe for turnabout maggey is great and tigre is iconic i like turnabout serenade i love apollo and ema being haters together and it also gave me one of my favourite obscure aa inside jokes:

thinking a lot about a premise where after the events of Psychonauts 2, years later, Raz winds up breaking off all contact with his family overall (barring his younger siblings, his older sister, his dad and Nona, and his younger siblings are a borderline case depending on whether or not they pick up their mother's passive aggressive and dislike of psychics like Raz's older brother) and the story idea is SPECIFICALLY Donatella, being grief-stuck at Raz completely cutting off all contact with her and much of the family after he was able to eventually become independent with the Psychonauts and is now a beloved icon and hero to the world famous for his advances in the use of psychic work to aid psychiatry and he very explicitly does not discuss her and acts as if she died when he was a kid

and the whole thing is basically about her having to very bluntly have to come to terms with the fact that if she hadn't been so cold to him or made him feel unwanted because of his powers, or his older brother learn from her example to become a vicious bully towards him (even by older brother standards), then maybe he wouldn't have fixated so hard on the idea of the Psychonauts as a place where felt he belonged and didn't feel like his very existence was shaming her

and its entirely her fault, and all her passive aggressive guilt trip actions in Psychonauts 2 made it worse and just made every moment around her, no matter how much he missed his mother, hurtful and he only felt better when he spoke to Helmut Fullbear who at this point was the first genuinely nice and accomodating voice he'd heard once the events with Maligula took off.

(He would be the first to admit much of that was his fault, but he still felt alone, and it was nice to feel such a kindly and welcome voice, like someone from a group he really belonged to, and that Donatella very specifically never made him felt like he belonged.)

And there's no magic fix. There's no tearful reconciliation, no heartfelt pleas that led to a happily ever after and the family reunions she wants. Decades of resentment, bitterness and childhood unhappiness that gradually turned into simmering hatred isn't something that can be taken back and she has to live with that; her second born son wants nothing to do with her and has written her completely out of his life, and will be quite happy if he dies without ever having to see her or speak with her ever again.

Also probably something like a line like "He stopped loving you a long time ago. After all, he thought you stopped loving him first."
