𝙍𝙚𝙣𝙯𝙤
Stranded in the frozen Canadian wilderness with Shae-fucking-Byrne.
I’m not sure which part is worse.
It’s her fault we’re here, after all.
I should want to strangle her.
Instead, my fantasies have warped from murderous to something infinitely more dangerous.
More seductive.
I don’t want to kill Shae Byrne.
I want to possess her—to own every piece of her.
As the new boss of the Moretti family, I shouldn’t even look her direction.
Anything between us would be an impossibility back home.
But out here in the arctic north, there are no rules.
𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙚
Arrogant men like Renzo Donati are the reason I usually date women.
And yet, of all the people in the world I could be trapped with,
Fate has bound me to Renzo.
We need one another to survive.
That should be the extent of it.
But when his hard body wraps around mine at night to stave off the cold,
Survival is the last thing on my mind.
“Come on, big guy. I need you to get better. You can’t…” Emotions clog my throat, trapping the words behind a sob I refuse to let loose. “You can’t leave me here alone.”
A fever normally wouldn’t worry me, but nothing about our circumstances is normal. He hasn’t had nearly enough water for his body to handle a high fever. We don’t have much food and no medicines. And our luck is so abysmally low, I hate to test it. Combine all that with my own exhaustion, and I can’t hold back the tears that stream down my cheeks.
I’m scared.
No amount of optimism or bullheaded determination can erase the shittiness of this situation.
“You know,” I say to the night air. “We met at the warehouse two days ago, as far as I can figure. That was February 12th, which means this is the 14th. Valentine’s Day. You can’t leave a girl alone on Valentine’s.” My words thin to a choked whisper.
Renzo starts mumbling in his sleep. His brows knit together, hardening his features. He looks so intense. So commanding. I wish I knew what he was dreaming about, but his words are unintelligible. Delirium. I think there isn’t any sense to be made from them until one word rings clear.
Chaos.
I don’t know why, but it makes me smile. “That’s right, big guy. I’m here.”
Jill is a Texan, born and raised. She manages the hectic social calendars for her three active children and occasionally spends an evening with her dashing husband. Aside from being an author and a mom, she's a travel junkie and loves to read when she is not lost in her own stories.
With Jill’s books, you can count on confident heroines, plenty of steamy tension, and deliciously assertive leading men. There are no guarantees in life, but with her books, you know everything will work out in the end. However, a perfect ending would not be nearly as satisfying without a seemingly insurmountable challenge. Jill loves to add plenty of adversity in her stories, creating unforgettably dynamic characters and sneaky plot twists you will never see coming.

Disney, Altitude, Mubi win top prizes at The Big Screen Awards 2022
The Walt Disney Company, Altitude, Paramount Pictures and Mubi were among the winners at The Big Screen Awards, which recognises excellence in UK marketing, distribution, publicity and exhibition.
The Big Screen Awards were rebranded from the Screen Awards, last held in 2019, and were unveiled tonight (November 24) at a ceremony in The Brewery, London, with comedian Phil Wang on hosting duties.
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures UK & Ireland won a special distributor of the decade award, recognising 10 years of achievement. The company has released 145 titles in theatres since 2013 totalling £2.21bn at the UK and Ireland box office, making it the decade’s top distributor with a 20.5% share. The award was collected by Lee Jury, senior vice president of studio content marketing and co-head of Walt Disney Studios UK/EMEA.
The distributor of year – independent award went to Altitude, which was praised for its support of cinemas coming out of the pandemic, including the release of Minari into cinemas when venues reopened last year. “[They] gave cinema audiences something to come back for at a time when new product was badly needed,” said one judge.
Paramount Pictures UK picked up the new blockbuster of the year award for Top Gun: Maverick. The award shines a spotlight on the studio campaigns that galvanised audiences to return to cinemas. Top Gun grossed a huge $102m at the UK box office after star Tom Cruise held out for its cinema release during Covid.
Kenneth Branagh’s Belfast, released in the UK by Universal, won the best British film award, voted for in an online poll by readers from a shortlist selected by Screen International’s senior editors. Jamie Dornan and Jude Hill appeared by video link to accept the award.
PHD UK & Warner Bros won theatrical campaign of the year (200 sites and over) for The Batman, with judges praising the villain-centric approach taken as ”ballsy”, “striking” and “brave”.
Mubi won theatrical campaign of the year for a title released into 199 sites or under as well as the international feature film campaign of the year awards for The Worst Person In The World. The film passed £1m at the UK and Ireland box office, in part due to a “cheesy but brilliant” Valentine’s Day marketing campaign.
Documentary campaign went to Dartmouth Films for Eric Ravilious: Drawn To War, with event cinema campaign going to Empire Street Productions and National Theatre Live for NT Live: Prima Facie, which starred Jodie Comer and was seen by more than 300,000 people.
For this year’s rebranded awards, several new prizes were introduced, including breakthrough British filmmaker, which went to Boiling Point director Philip Barantini, and breakthrough British actor, awarded to Honor Swinton Byrne, who most recently starred in Joanna Hogg’s The Eternal Daughter and The Souvenir films.
There were three other new categories for 2022. Big screen event of the year went to the 2022 edition of the Glasgow Film Festival, which achieved a record high of 73% audience capacity on its first in-person edition post-Covid.
The green screen award, honouring a company that put sustainable practices first, went to Lewes-based independent cinema Depot. The diversity and inclusion initiative prize, recognising inspirational work towards creating a more inclusive industry, was awarded to the BFI London Film Festival’s critics mentorship programme.
Other returning awards included PR campaign of the year, which was won by Premier’s “smart, funky and funny” campaign for Prano Bailey-Bond’s horror Censor.
The cinema of the year prizes went to Ilkley Cinema (for 24 screens and under) and Cineworld Basildon (for 25 screens and over).
Vue Entertainment won cinema marketing campaign of the year for ’Get Lost in Great Stories — Jurassic World Dominion’.
Cineworld’s Olivia Ter-Berg won the industry rising star category; Picturehouse Entertainment & Intermission Film took home the ever-competitive poster of the year prize for The Reason I Jump; Ali & Ava won trailer of the year for Altitude and Intermission Film; and Into Film & Universal Pictures UK won brand partnership of the year for their No Time To Die schools marketing partnership.
Finally, the Cinema First achievement award went to cinema programmer Roy Gower, who worked at ABC Cinemas (which became Cineworld in 2006) from 1975 to 2014, before joining Everyman Cinemas, where he worked as director of film until his retirement in 2021.
The full list of nominations is here.
Sponsors for the evening included: Eikon, MediCinema and Powster. The event was in association with Cinema First and the UK Cinema Association.

could we hear about silver birch? (all your stories sound Fantastically Intriguing and it has been Terribly Difficult picking just one to ask about!)
Ah thanks! Silver Birch is a story set in 1780s England that revolves around a very tired footman, a high-class sex worker going through some personal difficulties, and an actress who Really needs a break from her family.
"Jasper tripped over a prop sword, damned it to hell, and carefully replaced it on a table; from here he sighted the door wedged against the left corner of the room, overgrown with a tangle of rope pulleys. Through it was a small yard, on the other side of which stood an unremarkable structure. At one time it might have been a kitchen; now the windows were boarded shut and the door barred. Through the lashes of London rain, he saw a path beaten through the spare grass to the entrance. He would not be expected here, that much was certain.
'Mrs. Byrne– delighted to make your acquaintance,' he muttered to himself, 'Mrs. Byrne, Jasper Valentine. I expect you are expecting me. No– I expect you have had word of me. Mrs. Byrne– oh, bugger it.'
He started off through the growing downpour."
And another central character:
"Isaiah Priest looked stolidly ahead as the butler berated him. It was a long stream of words, in which his personal faults and professional shortcomings featured in high color; having heard it all before, he let the sermon pass him by. All he had done was scratch one of the silver spoons, and not entirely at his own fault. Mr. Wyndham’s dog ran amok through the house, and none of the servants were allowed to lay a hand on it, though it tripped them and made them drop their work. It was no use lecturing him.
'Is that clear?' barked the butler.
“Oh yes, sir,” he said mildly.
The man blinked. He expected weeping or begging; well, he could have that from the hallboys.
'There’ll be no leisure for you tomorrow, then. You get yourself to work–'
'Begging your pardon, sir,' Isaiah said before he could draw a breath, “but tomorrow is Sunday. Mr. Wyndham likes his servants to be at church.”
'I– yes. That is so. But you’ll have more to do the next morning, you know.'
He ought to have stolen the spoon, Isaiah thought that night, laying aside his footman’s livery. White men were inclined to treat him like a thief in any case, and he might have made a tidy sum fencing the article. Being conscientious was a great trial when he had nothing to show for it.
But Sunday there was no work; for the day, he would be away from the Wyndham house. He blew out the candle and slipped into bed, curling up against the chill."

LONG STORY SHORT : IT WAS A BAD TIME .
@gloryandgorehq & @gg-pontos
❛ Me chamo Mary Isobel Byrne Ainsworth, Mabel.
Você a conhece?
A garota respirou fundo enquanto esperava a próxima pergunta.
❜ Questionou a detetive Fortier-Marceau. ❛ Compareci a festa, sim, junto com meus irmãos. Além deles, vi Choi Jun Ho, Romain Geauxinue, Valentin Terrazas-Sulzbach, Eloise Girard-Dampierre... Carmen-Grace Rivera. Me custou minha felicidade, minha paz...

group ask for lost fics #10
Hey y’all! Again, below are a few lost fics that both Mod Eirene and I just can’t seem to find. That being said, we’re hoping that you lovely followers are able to help! If anyone knows any of the fics below please reply or send in an ask with which anon/user and group ask that the fic corresponds with!
Note: previous group asks and all lost fics!
Anon 1 asked:
I read a fic a while back and I can’t find it. It was short and had Merlin telling a story about how the dead are really close or something around a campfire but in Arthur’s POV. And it’s a little confusing at first but in the end we find out that Arthur is already dead and so is Gwaine etc. they are just spectating ghosts. It was a really good one shot and I was wondering if y’all knew of it??? Thank you!!
Thanks to @fifty-5ty for sending in The Power of Words by jaqtkd!
Anon 2 asked:
Hi there! I’m looking for a fic where it was Valentine’s Day I think and gwaine brought up this idea of a festival that they used to have in Camelot a while ago. In the festival there was a ceremony where there were 2 boxes or something and two people would be paired together and Merlin and Arthur get paired. Thanks so much in advance
Thanks @agentlewomanandascholar for sending in The Origin of Tradition by Elizabeth!
@subject-a5-byrn asked:
Hey! I’m looking for a fic where there’s established Merthur and the bad guys kidnap Merlin and in the end is a magic reveal
Anon 3 asked:
Hello, I was wondering if you knew of an au fic where all the magic users and criminals are trapped in a massive cold iron walled city, Merlin is the only one who can get out. Merlin steals magical artifacts, and Arthur is part of the security company who protect against magic users. Morgana is also involved. It was a WIP last I saw it.
Anon 4 asked:
I've been looking for a fic for days and I cannot find anywhere. All I remember is that is WIP, with long chapters and is about the return of Arthur. I think is Merthur, but is still in progress. There's also a girl who is Merlin's apprentice in magic, and I think at this point in the fic, Arthur and Merlin (or just Merlin, something like that) think she is Morgana's reincarnation. Thanks a lot! Your blog is a life saver!
Thanks to @agreekdragon for sending in the one the lighthouse left alone (WIP) by Anovelle!
Anon 5 asked:
i'm searching for a sad fanfiction. Canon and end of season 5 where Arthur dies and shortly before that , Merlin kisses him. thaanks
Anon 6 asked:
hi I’m hoping you could help me locate a merlin fic? If I remember correctly, it’s one where Arthur has come back, but Merlin never died. He kept journals (I think?) to remember everything he lived through. Magic changed to become whatever people thought it was, so Merlin has to use a wand and animals follow him and do chores. They can also talk and that’s how Arthur finds out Merlin loves him? Don’t worry if you can’t find it, but I’d appreciate if you tried. Thanks!
Thanks to @glidingoverthehighestcloud for sending in Everaftering So Happy by Palebluedot!

ATX TELEVISION FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES NEXT WAVE OF PROGRAMMING
ATX Television Festival continues to announce major programming for season eight, which will take place June 6-9, 2019, in Austin, Texas.
ATX will premiere HBO's upcoming summer series "Euphoria," created, written by, and executive produced by Sam Levinson, as this opening night screening and panel on Thursday June 6th. "Euphoria” follows a group of high school students as they navigate drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love and friendship. The screening will be followed by a panel conversation with creator/executive producer Sam Levinson, and cast members Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Barbie Ferreira, and Eric Dane. Executive producers also include Drake, Future the Prince, Ravi Nandan, Kevin Turen, Hadas Mozes Lichtenstein, Ron Leshem, Daphna Levin, Tmira Yardeni, Mirit Toovi, Yoram Mokady, Gary Lennon and Jim Kleverweis. "Euphoria" is produced in partnership with A24, and based on the Israeli series of the same name from Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin.
ABC’s record-breaking medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy” will screen the season 15 episode “Silent All These Years,” written by Elisabeth R. Finch and directed by Debbie Allen, which marks one of the series’ most riveting and emotional hours yet. The screening will be followed by a Q&A conversation with showrunner & executive producer Krista Vernoff, co-executive producer & writer Elisabeth R. Finch, and stars Camilla Luddington and Kim Raver, who will discuss the impact that the episode has had on viewers, as well as their approach to tackling topics of sexual assault and consent.

This year’s festival will feature a screening of an all-new episode of Freeform’s “grown-ish,” followed by a Q&A with cast & creatives, including cast members Yara Shahidi, Trevor Jackson, Francia Raisa, Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey, Emily Arlook and Jordan Buhat, and executive producer and writer Craig Doyle. “grown-ish” returns on Wednesday, June 5, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT to finish out its sophomore season and joins the ATX line-up alongside the network’s freshman hit “Good Trouble,” which was previously announced.
FXX’s award-winning, long-running animated comedy “Archer” will host an advance screening of an episode from the series’ upcoming tenth season, “Archer: 1999.” This season finds Sterling Archer, Lana Kane and their crew of acid-tongued misfits onboard the M/V Seamus salvage ship as they explore deep space and try to outsmart giant aliens, intergalactic pirates and vicious bounty hunters. The screening will feature a once-in-a-lifetime, never-to-be-seen-again special version of an upcoming episode -- with an element added exclusively for the ATX audience. The screening will be followed by a conversation with the creative team behind “Archer,” including executive producer Matt Thompson, actor H. Jon Benjamin (“Sterling Archer”), producer/art director Chad Hurd, and lead storyboard artist Taylor Parrish. “Archer: 1999” premieres May 29th on FXX.

In addition, Stephen Falk, creator/executive producer/writer/director of FXX’s critically acclaimed comedy series “You’re the Worst,” will participate in a discussion with writers, producers, and advocates who are working to destigmatize the conversation around mental health and mental illness through story and visibility. Additional panelists will be announced at a later date.
Actor Kevin Bacon will join the festival’s previously announced presentation of the never-picked-up “Tremors” pilot from writer/executive producer Andrew Miller based on the 1990 film of the same name, featuring a selection of clips, a partial script reading, and discussion with cast and producers. Bacon, who was set to reprise his starring role as Valentine McKee, joins Andrew Miller, executive producer Jessica Rhoades, and cast members Toks Olagundoye, P.J. Byrne, Haley Tju, and Emily Tremaine for the panel.
ATX’s non-profit foundation, The Syndication Project, will host a programming track for the second year, with a focus on encouraging actionable advocacy through storytelling. "Making Criminal Justice Matter," presented by the ACLU, in which writers and producers, along with a criminal law expert from the ACLU, will discuss the importance of working together to ensure authentic representations of current issues surrounding criminal justice, and television’s impact on viewer opinions with regard to issues of police practices, racial profiling, and governmental and police abuses of authority. Confirmed panelists include co-showrunner/executive producer Sunil Nayar (“The Red Line”), showrunner/executive producer Joanna Johnson (“Good Trouble”), and showrunner/executive producer Anthony Sparks (“Queen Sugar”), with Twyla Carter, Senior Staff Attorney with the National ACLU's Criminal Law Reform Project, moderating. Additional panelists will be announced at a later date.
“Resistance, Inclusion, and Creating Authentic Muslim Narratives” presented by the Muslim Public Affairs Council’s (MPAC) Hollywood Bureau will examine the collaborative efforts among consultants at MPAC and creatives and executives in the industry to raise the quantity and quality of Muslim representation on and off-screen. Confirmed panelists include showrunner/executive producer Carina Adly MacKenzie (“Roswell, New Mexico”), actress Nikohl Boosheri (“The Bold Type”), and Sue Obeidi (Director, MPAC's Hollywood Bureau). Additional panelists will be announced at a later date.
The Television Academy joins The Syndication Project track with “Power(ful) TV,” a panel discussion with writers & producers on how series can rise above trends and token characters by weaving in storylines of gender, race, religion, aging, immigration, health care, and more — all with the belief that exposing audiences to a variety of people, experiences, and worlds they might never encounter will foster understanding, empathy, and community. The conversation will be moderated by Television Academy President and Chief Operating Officer, Maury McIntyre. Panelists will be announced at a later date.
