It’s New Year.

Just a few hours left for me.

And my country is bombing another country.

And yesterday one of our cities was bombed in response.

Our propaganda never shows any images of Ukrainian streets on fire.

Because they call them all “fakes”.

And people are regularly arrested for spreading “fakes”.

For saying anything against the war.

For even calling it “war”.

For going out on the streets with an empty sheet of paper.

A girl was sentenced to 7 years in prison for putting anti-war stickers on price tags in a store.

While murderers and rapists are being freed from prisons, sent to war and given amnesty when they come back.

Along with a status of “Heroes” for doing what they do best in another country.

An orthodox priest who raped children was given a suspended sentence and is still free.

While government preaches for ��christian values” and calls LGBT movement an extremist organisation.

And this attack on one of our cities.

It won’t be delivered by our propaganda as a call to stop the war.

No, just the opposite, to intensify the attack on Ukraine in return.

Our government doesn’t care about children who died in this city.

Just as it doesn’t care about the ukranian children.

Because it NEVER cared for common people.

They say that the main reason for war is the oppression of russian-speaking citizens in Eastern Ukraine.

And while I met and talked to many of the refugees from there

You don’t fucking save people by killing and putting at a huge risk MUCH MORE PEOPLE.

Ironically enough, our government supports Palestine.

Which is good, but also what a fucking hypocrisy.

It’s mainly because America supports Israel, while also supporting Ukraine.

And what a fucking joke this whole geopolitical situation is.

Two of the hugest forces play chess with each other using other countries and their citizens as figures on the board.

And make money on people’s deaths.

Hey, America, why don’t you, fucking, I don’t know, assassinate our politicians, starting with the main psychopath??? If you want the war to stop so much?????

Why don’t politicans just go one on one UFC style and we all will watch and see who wins, like Remark suggested in his book about WW1???

Why start fucking WW3?

It feels so incredibly weird, watching and reading scenes about wars in TGCF.

They are perfectly depicted, you know.

It felt so striking, to watch Yong An and Xian Le people live happily together in the 9th Episode.

I hope one day we’ll be able to end up like this again as well.

But I have no hopes for tomorrow.

It’s gonna be centuries untill Russia might be able to live in peace with the world.

Just because one psychopath decided to go in history forever.

And if other psychopaths will ever let us live in peace.

Because every single participant of this war does not give a fuck about people.

I don’t believe they do.

Because they have power.

They could’ve stopped it.

They could’ve never let it happen.

And we?

We can’t. We can’t decide anything in this totalitarian fucking country.

Tell me, what can I do? What can I do to make this next year better?

I used to be a journalist.

I hoped my words could reach people.

They never did.

But I hope this little post just might reach… i don’t know, at least someone.

stuff I noticed on (???)th rewatch:

Even tho for plot reasons it cant be him, Laurence Fishburne aka Alpha Trion voices the narrator in the archives, fitting since Alpha Trion was the prime in charge of preserving history

Steve Blum voices one of the guard

Shockwave alt mode model spotted when Orion was falling

Orion was just about to enter the miners barracks when when he got caught up while he was fleeing from the archives

Love the little details of the miners knowing each other (miners going "oh. It's Orion." when he was on the train or Moonracer and D-16 silently aknowledging one another, or later the miners from their sectors recognizing them in the race)

Kinda horrifying that they are supposed to leave a fellow bot to die as per protocol. I guess one bot dying is better than three but still, you could already see the system was unfair, they did save Jazz but got no recognition for it. Also despite her irritation, Elita was throwing those supporting sticks like javelins to help them

Before she got fired and based on their miner badges, D-16 was a tier away from being at Elita's rank (meanwhile Orion's a shit miner based on his badge alone)

D-16 probably has changed berth before, at the end of the movie, we see that he initially added a huge Megatronus sticker to its left side, but the one we see him sleep in doesnt have it, or maybe in 50 cycles, the sticker simply got damaged with time and had to be removed.

Steve Blum also voices the Iacon 5000 announcer, it wouldnt surprise me that hed be one of the voice actors with the most appearances in the transformers franchise as a whole😊

I believe the only mention of the term "cybertronian" in the movie is when Sentinel calls the Iacon citizens his "cybertronian family"

Sentinel lied about the "tomorrow all shifts will be off" for the day of the race: when we first see Orion and D-16 in the race, it cuts to Elita and a few other bots working

Iacon 5000 board:

fairly consistent and lots of familiar names! (RODDY!!! He was in 6th place before falling back to 9th😔, and Chromia climbed her way up until she was second place at the very end before winning)

D-16's quiet "what is happening" during the big laugh

Darkwing actually being a decepticon in G1 is gonna be so funny in this continuity. Hey what if the guy you relentlessly bullied turned into not only your future boss but also one of the two strongest individuals on this planet and he is known for his rage and lust for revenge

The gag of Bee showing the duo what his job is and telling them he's supposed to pick out what's salvagable among the trash while his helmet he uses as an exemple, smth clearly useful, is just fucking gone in the fire

Nitpicking here and 100% paying attention to details that dont matter but Alpha Trion's map reinforce my belief that cybertron is like. A Tiny Planet. Perhaps the train is incredibly fast and get them closer to the location but it still only take them a day on foot (and later on wheels) to get halfway across the planet

Cybertron is also 75% metallic rock formations apparently, judging by the scenery the gang passes by

In addition, everything organic looks foreign, so this is more going into hc territory but maybe the quintessons did bought organic flora with them during the war, "contaminating" the planet, which then could grow into forests

D-16 is downright TINY next to Megatronus' head, which makes the comparaison with Megatron at the end (who is most likely as tall as Megatronus thanks to his cog and his second transformation) kinda jarring

A flower straight up has teeth, I genuinely dont believe its native to Cybertron

Alpha Trion says the war against the quintessons lasted "thousand of cycles" and its fascinating to me: the original storyboards had Orion stating that the war had been over for 1000 cycles- now changed to 50 cycles for the movie and 1) it means that Sentinel's reign is RIDICULOUSLY SHORT all things considered, this is like, after 10 years of war, being in charge only for a MONTH before it all comes crashing down... (now that I think about it, I think my brain wouldve liked the original "Sentinel ruled for 1000 cycles" more) and 2) it somewhat gives me the impression that cybertronians are... actually pretty young? As a race?

During the sand flashback, Prima (or Liege Maximo, they have the same colors here) goes down first buried under Quintessons

The Quintessons' main ship not only look organic, which is gross and cool af, but the entrance from which the quintessons soldiers and general came down straight up looks like a mouth with teeth

They really build a fort around this ship, it has barricades and everything

People already know this but Starscream's throne resembles his crown and cape from the '86 movie

D-16 shakes his head when Bee calls the High Guard "prestigious", this is after the shot on his perplexed face when Starscream gives them their options

D-16 also clench his fist in the bg when Starscream mention they saw Sentinel's betrayal and when the Primes fell

Btw how did the High Guard know his full actual name? Orion only ever called him "Dee"

Thrust was SUPER into D-16's speech

Obvious, but D-16's fully go orange at that point

Airachnid and Sentinel's forces shoot yellow blasts, the High Guard shoots purple

Again, another one people know about but Thundercracker swaps with Skywarp between shots (G1 ref💖)

Nothing that proves this, but there seems to be two types of roads in Iacon: permanent ones, and the ones that build themselves as you drive on them, when Orion jumps down to Iacon, he lands on a road and then changes to a autonomous one

THEY GOT ROBO-STREET FIGHTER

The plaza they fight on at the end is directly below the prime tower

If you wanna have fun just focus on any background fight between a seeker and an eradicon when they fight in the tower

In the dogfight before they leave the tower you have Soundwave blasting bots away from Shockwave's tail and then Stascream doing the same for Soundwave before also blasting a bot Orion kicked away. Teamwork

I have nothing to say for Sentinel's entire execution scene. Got caught up in it again. Cinema.

The ground literally make way for Orion's falling body and then Primus(' spark) himself grabs him to accelerate his fall toward him

Soundwave, Shockwave and Starscream uses each their specific weapons during the "All hail Megatron" part

Optimus tucks his head in turtle-style to dodge Megatron's bullets and its a neat callback to when he transformed for the first time

Ive noticed they often use smoke to save budget by not showing transformation sequences but its ok bc this still looks cool af, they still showed Megatron transform into his tank mode and you can see his head disappearing under the cannon I love it

Megatron can reattach mid-transformation his tank cannon that Optimus tore away and shoot him afterward with it, god this is so fucking dope

This fight is sick as fuck

Optimus looks SO confused just before his axe manifest

Out of the SSSquad, Soundwave completely miss his entrance and slide across accomplishing nothing, he misses his next punch too, Shockwave straight up does not leave the ground 0.5 seconds after he enters the fight, and at least Starscream has the most action out of all of them but also he still gets yeeted into oblivion

You can see Optimus' axe go from his left hand to his right to cut through Megatron's fusion cannons, the yellow energy passes by the matrix and you can see it via his biolights, which btw were lit since he manifested his axe in the first place

And finally, the red paint of Optimus reflecting on Megatron, making his face as red as his eyes

During the flashback, the words "D-16" and "Megatronus Prime" on the berth are written in english and not with cybertronian letters

The movie takes over the span of 4 days:

Orion trespasses into the archives in the morning of the first day defore work, they have a "normal" day at work afterward and Elita gets demoted, Sentinel announces the Iacon 5000 and Orion wakes D-16 during the night to tell him his plan to run in the race

Second day and day of the race, we have seen that Sentinal have lied about the "tomorrow all shifts off" line so yeah, bots were still working and still had to work after the race, which probably took place only in the morning. Then enough time has passed when Orion and D-16 waited in the medical bay for miners to go back to work and reach 150% quota, then they got dumped with Bee at sublevel 50 and the next instance of time we see is when the train leaves for the surface, during the time we see Iacon at night, so this whole ordeal of waiting and escaping probably took all afternoon and likely night.

Then we see either the sun rising while the quartet in on the train, I choose to believe its the sun rising since we just saw Iacon at night. Anyway then it'd be day 3: they travel to the location of Alpha Trion and escape Quintessons in the morning, witness Sentinel's betrayal, get their cogs and transform for the first time in the afternoon, then travel back to Iacon at night and get caught by the High Guard, then Airachnid embushes the High Guard and there's the whole battle.

Orion gets out of the rubble and its no longer night, so that's day 4, then the rest of the movie happens till the end, and based on the lighting, Id say it took place almost entirely during that morning

We mightve gotten a glimpse of Jazz's alt mode in the epilogue

Counting the end credits scene, the movie ends with the 80s decepticons logo!

CUPID’s  RHYTHM  era  brought  more  than  just  a  mini  album.  MIGHTY  DEVIL  announced  a  short  mini  reality  show,  WITH  CUPID,  whose  purpose  is  to  show  what  STUPID  CUPID  members  do  when  they’re  not  promoting  and  have  time  to  de-stress.  the  show  aired  once  a  week  and  was  finished  after  only  NINE  episodes.

JUST  DANCE  received  SIX  music  show  wins,  along  with  FOUR  from  BE  THE  ONE  promotions,  making  it  EIGHTEEN  in  total  with  CUPID  IS  DUMB  wins. 

compared  to  CUPID  IS  DUMB,  JUST  DANCE  received  a  little  less  attention,  yet  the  music  video  still  managed  to  get  more  than  70  MILLION  VIEWS  in  the  first  24  hours! 

during  one  of  the  encore  stages,  VIVA  received  a  lot  of  attention  for  successfully  doing  the  high  note  that  is  originally  TOMIE’s!  netizens  complimented  her  voice  and  asked  if  she’ll  receive  high  notes  in  the  future. 

CHERUBS  got  into  a  bit  of  an  argument  with  ZE_ROSE  due  to  their  song  being  titled  BE  THE  ONE,  which  is  in  ZEROBASEONE’s  greeting.  a  lot  of  the  other  people  who  are  not  in  either  of  those  fandoms  have  said  that  the  argument  is  pointless,  and  they’re  reaching;  that  it  was  all  just  a  coincidence.  the  fights  were  mostly  on  twitter,  so  it  was  easy  for  others  to  miss  out  on  them  or  straight  up  not  even  see  them. 

the  members  confirmed  that  they  all  got  creative  freedom  for  this  album.  CHESKA  said,  “GLOOMY  called  us  all  into  his  studio,  and  he  said  ‘the  album  is  yours.  do  whatever  you  want  with  it’,  so  we  did.  it  was  very  fun  to  have  the  reigns  in  our  hands,  but  also  nerve-wracking.  GLOOMY  still  helped  but  from  the  sidelines,  most  of  it  was  us”.  the  other  girls  confirmed,  saying  it  was  tough  but  felt  satisfied  once  the  album  was  finished.  in  the  end,  ILYMORE  feels  more  special  to  both  the  girls  and  their  fandom.

"Also for those hoping for some @RW News , I will start off March with introducing a new free feature coming to Rain World on Steam called Ludeo! Ludeo will allow players in sandbox mode to share different playable highlights by clipping your gameplay and sharing it directly with others. They’ll start playing right where you did so you can challenge them to beat your Sandbox Mode score. This will be released in two weeks on March 15th!

On Monday, we will be releasing a quality of life patch which will include many fixes like fixing controller customized configs not saving for players 2-4 and fixing ordering mods issues in the Remix Menu. 2014 Russian GP

Alright it's the 16th round, we're very close to the end of the season now. I only have the race this time. It's the first Russian GP apparently? Mercedes could win the WCC here.

The race took place in October 2014 despite calls to cancel it following the shooting down of the Malaysia Airline Flight 17 by Russian forces. When questions were asked about not only that but the plan to hold a European GP in Azerbaijan despite human rights issues in the country, both Horner and Toto said it was the FIA's responsibility to decide and not their place to have an opinion on it which is bullshit. 

Marussia was supposed to have Alexander Rossi replace Jules Bianchi but ultimately decided not to replace him and run only one car. As a gesture to Jules and his family they prepped his car and set it up in his garage as usual. All the drivers wore stickers on their helmets saying "Tous avec Jules #17" and there was a minute of silence before the race. 

Maldonado received a ten place grid penalty in Japan for components changes but he qualified 17th there so as per the new rule, he had to serve what was left of the penalty in Russia, thus granting him a 5 place grid penalty for this race. 

The weather is beautiful. Nico is 2nd, with Lewis on pole. Valtteri 3rd, Jenson 4th, Kvyat 5th (?!), Daniel 6th, Alonso 7th, Raikkonen 8th, JEV is 9th, and Seb is only 10th… he actually qualified 11th but Magnussen got a penalty.

Brundle and Crofty say it's difficult to focus on racing both for them and for the drivers as everybody is thinking of Jules, who is fighting for his life. 

And they're racing. 

Good clean start, Nico attacks Lewis in the next straight. He locks up but takes the lead. Then he goes very wide, which you could argue extends his advantage… Brundle thinks indeed Nico has to give his place back. Right as he finishes saying that, we get a radio message telling Nico he needs to "please" give the place back to Lewis. He says he has to box because of the vibration anyway. He gives the place back. He pits. He's told he's gonna have to go to the end on these. Erm. Really? 51 laps? Is that even possible? Wtf. Anyway the race gets reaaaally boring after that. 

Lap 10. Lewis is still in the lead although Valterri is "only" 2.7 away. Then it's Jenson a further 9 seconds down, Alonso, Magnussen, Seb, Daniel, Vergne, Raikkonen and Kvyat. Nico is currently P15. It's lap 20. Yes already. The race is really that boring I have nothing to tell you. Lewis is now 6.7 seconds ahead of Valtteri who's 13 something seconds ahead of Jenson, then it's still Alonso, Magnussen, Seb, Daniel must have pitted because it's now JEV in P7, Raikkonen P8, Kvyat P9 and Perez just got overtaken by Nico as I was writing this. Jenson pits. The tyre performance is dramatically dropping now which makes it improbable that Nico will last to the end. Lewis extended his gap over Valtteri to 13.8 (so double what it was on lap 20) in about 5 laps. JEV pits. Lewis is not struggling too much given he's in clean air. Alonso pits, it's VERY long, over 7 seconds. We're halfway through the race. Valtteri pits. Raikkonen pits. Lewis is called in. Kobayashi retires. Lewis is still in the lead. Massa pits. 

It's lap 30. They're showing us the number of pit stops instead of the times. Behind Lewis is now Seb but he hasn't pitted yet. Not far behind him is Valtteri, Nico up in P4. Then Jenson, Magnussen, Alonso, Daniel, Gutierrez (?), and Raikkonen. Seb pits. Out in P8, while Nico forces Valtteri wide and gets ahead of him. Mmmh… Valtteri's engineer says "so for info Rosberg fitted these prime tyres on lap 1, so he's gonna get deg. We'll get him back." Kvyat is critical on fuel. 20 laps to go. Still nothing much to say. 

It's lap 40. Guess what. I have nothing to say. Lewis is still in the lead, almost 18 seconds ahead of Nico. Then it's still the same, Valtteri, Jenson, Magnussen, Alonso, Daniel, Seb, Gutierrez, and Raikkonen. EW. OH EWWW. I'm trying to watch a very boring race and I'm shown Bernie Ecclestone hugging Putin. Absolutely fuck that shit. Anyway Nico is asked if he thinks he can stay on these tyres to the end. He says "affirm, yes, easy. Well, not easy but they feel good for now." 

10 laps to go. Still nothing. Stop showing me Putin ffs. 5 laps to go. Valtteri is coming really fast at Nico, but the gap is 4.5. 

It's the end of the race. 

Lewis wins, Nico P2, Valtteri P3.

Mercedes wins the WCC. Bono : "Awesome drive Lewis! Awesome drive mate! Absolute masterclass. Great job there Lewis. Just keep the revs up, pal. Awesome job." Lewis : "Congratulations to the team on the constructors’ championship! Great job, man. History in the making." (Ah boy, you can't imagine how right you are). 

Niki says it's unbelievable. He jokes that he doesn't know if he can call himself a 4 time world champion now. Ted asks if Lewis is looking unstoppable for the WCC now. Niki is not really listening anymore as he's trying to hug Paddy Lowe. He says "yes, kind of, kind of." Lewis hugs Paddy as well.

Ohhh god. Jump scare. Putin is in the cool down room. Lewis shakes Bernie's hand and then Bottas' and doesn't even look at Putin lmao. Nico shakes Putin's hand while Lewis gets weighed. Bottas shakes Putin's hand. Lewis does not. Everybody is a bit tense. Paddy shakes Putin's hand. Nobody is talking. Lewis is styling his hair in the back. This is the most uncomfortable scene I've seen in 145 races. The camera pans out. Valtteri, Nico and Paddy are standing there and barely talking in hushed voices.

The camera pans out a bit further and there's Bernie and Putin looking at them in silence.

Oh my god. Putin says something to his translator. She asks them for him how much weight they lost during the race. What a weird ass question. Nico says 3kg.

Lewis is looking at which of the caps is his. Neither of the three it seems. NOW he shakes Putin’s hand. Putin goes back to talking with his people about the organisation for what comes next. Paddy and Rosberg are whispering into each other's ears uncomfortably. Lewis is talking with Bottas. Putin and the weird guys finally leave the room. It's completely silent again. 

Ew it's Putin giving Lewis his trophy. And Paddy's.

And then Paddy gets drenched in champagne as he should but why does his body moves like that lmao he's so weird and funny I'm very fond of him

Lewis says hi in Russian to the crowd. He says he's so happy to be here and they've had an amazing weekend. He says the fans and the organisers and Russia have been so good to him and the team. He's looking forward to coming there many, many more times. The Russian interviewer says he's 17 points ahead in the WDC now. Lewis says Nico did a great job recovering today. There's a wasp flying around them lol. The car was performing really well and they did a great job as a team, making history. He's proud to be a part of it. He did not answer the question about the WDC at all. Then the interviewer makes plans to drink vodka with him to celebrate his win.

BTW, this race result also puts Valtteri up in 4th place in the WDC, ahead of Seb and Alonso, in a Williams. Good job! 

Also I read on Wikipedia that both Marussia and Caterham went into administration after this race due to financial difficulties. Caterham managed to come back for the Abu Dhabi GP, and then disappeared. Marussia ultimately was able to enter the 2015 season but as a British team rather than a Russian one.

Now that Spring Training has wrapped and baseball season has officially begun, we wanted to take a look at the history of Chicago's north-side team with Cubs buttons—through the goat curses and all!

As part of the 1932 Orbit Gum baseball button series Kiki Cuyler (Hazen Shirley Cuyler), along with his 53 other team mates, were featured in the gum company's pack called "Tattoo." The buttons feature an illustration of the player's face and jersey number on a 3/4 inch round litho button.

Culyer's career lead him to 7 seasons with the Cubs and eventually brought him to coach the team for a couple seasons before he passed away from a heart attach in 1951. In 1968 Kiki was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Frame and in 1981 was included in the book, "The 100 Greatest Baseball Players of All Time" by Lawrence Ritter and Donald Honig. These buttons were a part of a 8 cubs pins series that were available in vending machines in the 1960's. The buttons showcase the slogan "Cub Power" as well as lovingly refer to dedicated fans as "Bleacher Bums." The name is in reference to those who came to watch the Cubs play in the bleacher section of Wrigley Field on a regular basis.

Attendees in this section were usually were students of Loyola, DePaul, and Northwestern and were available to spend multiple afternoons at the ball park. In 2006 Bid Light purchased the naming rights to the bleacher section and renamed the seats the "Bud Light Bleachers."

Founded in 1870 under their original name Chicago Stockings, the team changed their name to the Chicago Cubs in 1907. Today, the Chicago Cubs are one of the longest running baseball franchises in the United States. Their legacy extends past being one of the first teams too. Until the 2016 season, hardcore Chicago Cubs fans were convinced the Billy Goat Curse placed on the team in the 1945 World Series would never lift.

Luckily in 2016 the Cubs broke the 71 year curse and won the World Series 8-7 in a game against the Cleveland Indians that lasted 10 innings. Busy Beaver recreated the 1945 Cubs World Series pin with our own one inch round button for the 2016 victory.
