they look loose but the trick is to start out with bigger then you need and then stich it a bunch with sashiko and it tightens up nice and snug❤️

When there is an embroidered picture in my daily life I feel somewhat relieved. Loose stitching. I feel encouraged that I don't have to work too hard.

I’m making a bunch of sea stars for my ocean costume! This is a step by step on how i made them, i got some help with sewing them because I’m learning how to use a sewing machine, since doing so by hand is becoming a pain lately 🤣 and after that i stuffed them with all kinds of scrap fabrics i had and other stuffings and i still need to sew off the holes i left. i also added a picture of a starfish in my hand for the size comparison, so they are pretty big.

I am still learning, I've always wanted to do something like this. Seeing my progress is a nice feeling.

this is a new pair of frankenstein pants i've started. As you can see i've made them extra baggy because i'm going to experiment with them. Exactly how much sashiko can do i to a pair of really loose pants before they become form fitting?

also i really really want it roomy and airy in the crotch, so theres that lol

in its current form it would need more belt loops for a belt to work, but my strategy is to tighten it with the sashiko stitching, then once it gets as tight as i like i'll sew on the extra belt loops

like the other two pairs i've posted about, i plan to give it another dye bath when i'm done to really harmonize all the fabrics

*edit* ok i just noticed the hand prints that someone slapped on there when i wasn't looking >:/

I wanted to share the bag I embroidered for a friend of mine! It's the symbols of the seven schools of magic in his DnD/novel world!

Very proud of this one, as the symbols are very small and detailed
