I still enjoy Sander sides a fuck ton, but I've been out of the fandom for years now. That being said, I've been rewatching it recently and here's a really cool thing I've noticed!

So while they are characters and all of the sides feel fully fleshed out and realistic, they are also aspects personified and it was done SO WELL

Like of course Logan would get very stuck up and controlling with certain stuff, that's how logic operates. Especially with adhd, logic is usually the voice of guilt in the back of your head when you do things wrong. On the other end, logic is also silly, you sometimes remember something random for no reason. And of course Logan gets ignored a lot! How often do you listen to your logic 100%?

Of course Roman is grand and has large ambitions too big for his boots, that's what creativity feels like. Yes, Roman will be self centered, because if you're an artist (like Thomas) creativity is a big source of pride for you, especially if you post online. Roman being insecure makes sense when you think of imposter syndrome and how popular Thomas is. Obviously Roman loves Disney and cartoons, they actively spur on creative juices.

Of course Patton is pushy and controlling with his beliefs, that's what morality does! Growing up religious would only make that more extreme. Of course he's commonly listened to and taken at face value, your ethics/morals are some of the heaviest driving forces when they kick in, and it takes a lot to shift them. Obviously he's the least mature, your morals are instilled when you're young and you never really grow out of them. But he's also a dad because older male figures are stereotypically the ones that teach you morals in the first place!

Of course Virgil is so rude in the beginning but gets an acceptance arc, anxiety is a bitch to live with that fucks with everything else, but you need to learn to work with it, not against it, similar to any other emotion. He used to be part of the dark sides cause when you don't know what to do with feelings like that, you end up pushing them down or hurting yourself. He hates not being taken seriously because when you completely ignore and blow off your alarm bells it puts you in active danger!

Speaking of, Dark sides tangent! First of all, they aren't really the "bad" parts, they're just the parts of Thomas that he bottled up or tried to hide from himself. And the name "dark sides" is so good, cause it's like the dark side of the moon! Just as important as the light side, just different, harder to see if you aren't actively looking, and often ignored or viewed as "worse"

Tangent over. So!

Of course Janus's main role is to hide the other dark sides! He's representation of what happens when somebody hides parts of themselves. He has a villian and snake persona cause of religious reasons and because deceit is viewed as one of those bad things that need to be bottled up! He is at the core of a lot of self preservation and caring of others because for Thomas, that is the only time he's used Deceit so it's all that he can do.

Of course Remus is equally as prideful as Roman, he has the same issues with imposter syndrome! Of course he has a bunch of gore and sex jokes/ideas, he's the creative parts that morals state are "bad". Unlike Roman who's usually on topic, Remus goes constantly off tangent because that is what your wilder/more experimental side of creativity does! It just spits shit out and you figure out what sticks!

Its very similar to Greek mythology and idk! I just love when personification is done super well while making the characters still feel human!

Well this aren't my personal headcanons but they're one that I adopted.

Well demiromantic Charles, I talked about this before and I think this posts explains it pretty well and I completely support it.

Also using suspenders as a replacement for belts because belts reminds him of his dad.

ADHD Charles! Oh I love this ADHD messy boy and I resonate with him so much.

Also dyslexic Charles!

I think those hcs makes the fact that he and Edwin has their thing where Edwin is reading him stories even cuter.

I totally see how no matter how hard he tried to overcome his disabilities he was never good enough which made his home life more difficult (projecting? Whattt).

Oblivious bisexual Charles rights. Not really a hc but yeah, that boy is dumb he's just completely oblivious in the moment he just never considered that because of the heteronormative society he was raised in, it just never crossed his mind. I'm a full believer he's just slow in understanding stuff and he wants to take things slow with Edwin.

He's screaming bisexual we all in the fandom clocked him right away it's nothing special really. We all know he's bi. That's a bisexual disaster if I have ever seen one. (Emphasis on the disaster).

Also, Charles kept the lantern from when Edwin found him! And that was the lantern he used when he went back to hell. And another detail I didn't see anyone talking about he also kept the book Edwin read to him without he knew. Actually he kept following the next books coming out in this series.

I also love any type of hc that gives him any artistic hobby- artist, dancer, or anything really, any reason that he didn't fit the stereotypical masculine gender roles, and made him even a larger disappointment in his dad's eyes. Anything that made it harder for him. I'm a slut for angst what can I say. (Like I'm a Charles Rowland kinny it's pretty much obvious).

This is pretty much it I think!

Mostly I just love the work the show did with him. I don't feel like large and elaborate headcanons are needed him- the canon is already amazing. I just love some small pieces that gives even more depth to the canon lore.

This show is so good I don't need really big headcanons. I don't think I can top the canon.

I personally like to think of The Shepards as half white or "passing" as white. It makes so much sense too due to the fact that it would cause resentment/self hatred on top of their economic status. They can't be themselves or express their culture. Not to mention passing as white would do well for them in the eyes of the legal system where they would receive slaps on the wrist rather jailed straight away or be racially profiled.

I just feel it would add a lot of character to The Shepards, especially if growing up one of them became a little "more white" than the others and the jealousy would double down or self resentment would increase.

(Bonus points if they all have different dads--I head canon that no one knows who Curly's real dad is and Mrs. Shepard lies to save what self respect/minimize gossip about her so Curly is "more white" than Angela but Angela and Tim are convinced they have the same Dad because they look so much alike but Tim grows to look more like their mother and Angela, while sill Angela, grow to resemble someone Tim doesn't recognize.).

I love seeing POC Shepards and I'll be honest back when the fandom didn't have much fan art (probably the early 2000s-2010s) what little fan art there was The Shepards were drawn as white, which, again, is fine. In a fandom like this where not many artists dwell we have to appreciate what we are given and respect other people's opinions.

okay. this fucking picture made me so mad i went on a 15 minute rant to my sister while she was trying to read her book.

so ive been looking at a lot of pictures of posts on pinterest because thats just where i spend most of my time. most of these posts are on the topic of adhd. ive never been properly diagnosed, but reading through these posts has made me feel so welcomed and understood (more than my parents have made me feel, pretending that this is "all just a phase that ill get over soon because pretending to have adhd is just the thing right now") that i realized ON MY OWN that "hey maybe i do have adhd." well.

i found this post while scrolling through pinterest, and it really sparked my anger.

i have a friend who was diagnosed with add before it was considered an "outdated" term and scrapped because apparently ALL FUCKING FORMS OF NEURODIVERGENCY THAT ARENT AUTISM ARE JUST "ADHD".

i read this post and it was what sparked my anger and my 15 minute rant to my sister. people who get degrees in this stuff, or counselors at schools, never really know what youre going through. all they know is that youre having some problems and they need to be solved.

which brings me back to this picture. if you look up "is add still a thing" on google, this is the first picture to pop up. and just seeing the visual aids they put with it makes me furious enough to throw something or someone out a fifth story window. the little girl is fucking SMILING while thinking about the most common shit people think us neurodivergent folks think when distracted. first off, no. false. we dont just think of video games and candy. we think of the randomest shit possible, like how long can i sit here without blinking or what kind of funny shit can i draw on this one sheet of paper.

and ALSO.

you cant just categorize adhd as TWO SEPARATE THINGS and call it good. we dont fit under two umbrellas. theres too many of us. we each have our own figurative umbrellas that only we ourselves can fit under, no one else. thats the problem with neurotypicals. they fit the typical stereotype for humans: we try to understand everything by putting it in a box. those lists of "symptoms"? i match every single one. on both sides. so ha. take that SCIENTISTS. what am i? some kind of freak of nature because i dont fit under just ONE of your precious categories?

i also looked up what "inattentive" means and it made me angrier. according to oxford languages, "inattentive" means "not paying attention to something", which doesnt seem too bad, right? it fits some people perfectly with their symptoms, right? but its not the definition that bugs me. its the example sentence thats used. "a particularly dull and inattentive student". basically saying that if you dont pay attention well to something, youre dull and boring.

im sorry, what? sometimes i have trouble paying attention, sure, but you ask any of my friends and they can agree i am NOT boring in any way, shape, or form. non of them would describe me as "dull". inattentive? sure, but not dull. so to call it "inattentive" adhd, instead of just add, is stupid! my friend with ADD (not fucking adhd, stupid scientists) is one of the funniest, most entertaining people ive ever met. shes an incredible artist, super smart, and knows how to make anyone laugh. does that sound dull to you? does she have problems focusing sometimes? yes. does she struggle with doing something sometimes? yes. but dont the rest of us?

my point is, when i see things like this, it pisses me off. like, unless all of the scientists who agreed "add" is an outdated term have it themselves, i refuse to believe its outdated and i will continue to say that my friend has it. she was literally diagnosed by the doctor telling her "you have attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder without the hyperactivity." THATS JUST FUCKING ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER YOU DUMBASS!!!

anyway, i hope im not the only one who feels this way. i just felt it necessary to get this out there. maybe someday, people wont be so dumb and single minded. in my opinion, neurodivergent people are superior in intellect and creativity, but i guess until someone like that takes over the world and dropkicks neurotypicals into the stratosphere, we'll never know.

So basically!!

Her full name is Laura Bernardi.

She kinda started out as an OC and I wanted to have her as a character in my book - but who knows? She might still be in my stories one day HEHEH >:3 So therefore I've made her a background story already, but she's very based on me - with personality, dreams and goals, and family/friends dynamics etc.

When I started watching Better Call Saul I got this though of "LAURA AND NACHO WOULD BE PERFECT TOGETHER-" ...But I was also like: "ME AND NACHO SHOULD BE TOGETHER 👹" So I combined the two and turned Laura into a self-insert LMAO

Now for the story I have for Laura:

She's from Europe and spent her first years in Italy, before she moved to the US together with her dad and big brother Sergio.

They moved in with her grandparents, and she was very close with her grandpa - Valentino. He taught her to read and write and eventually she developed a passion for writing, just like Valentino had. He was basically her best friend, since she hated school and got bullied.

She is very close to her brother Sergio - who's three years older. He is very overprotective of his little sister and is the stereotypical "annoying brother" LOL He is currently living in Denver, where he's opened his own restaurant.

Laura is an artistic person. She enjoys poetry, music and art. It has been so since her childhood. Her interest in writing developed and eventually she started working as a journalist, after studying at university.

In her spare time, she hangs out with friends and family - they're all very important to her. And she makes her own books and poems too. She also likes reading and being outdoors, for example taking photos, going shopping or jogging/hiking.

She sometimes enjoy going to parties too.

Her fasion style is classy and simple. She also likes dark academia and grunge clothings (...but also adores pastel colors LOL)

As for her personality: She's both extroverted and introverted, it depends on who she's talking to! She is kind and caring, and good at reading people. Although she's a good person, she's very impulsive and sometimes says/does things without thinking twice. She was diagnosed with ADHD as a teen and also struggles with mental health.

She also loved animals! She has a cat and knows alot about cats and other animals. A bit of a nerd when it comes to cat facts :')

Relationship with Nacho 👀

Nacho and Sergio was best friends in school, so Nacho spent a lot of time in the Bernardi house. He got to know Laura's family, and Sergio got to know Nacho's family. The two families became friends and even had dinners together.

But Sergio and Nacho grew apart during the years. One main reason was Nacho joining the cartelm which he did not approve off. They stopped hanging out around the time Sergio moved to Denver.

After this, Nacho and Laura grew close. They had known each other for quite some years and knew each other well. They supported each other during difficult times and shared happy moments etc.

Laura even worked at A-Z Fine Upholstery (Nacho's dads store) before becoming an journalist! She was a troubled teen and Manuel Varga fixed her a job, and then she became colleagues.

They liked each other, but both were too scared to admit it. So they let each other go, and dated other people, breaking each others hearts over and over without knowing so...

After a bad breakup, Laura realized she still liked Nacho, and he developed feelings for her. They finally confessed to each other, and since then their love has bloomed.

Now, they live together in a house in Albuquerque, but plan on moving to Italy and start over, and live a life away from dangers and drama.

Laura is also planning on proposing to Nacho soon... 🤭

Okay so, to start off heres a little introduction! Remi, I’m a transmasc, 18+, write semi-lit to just two or more paragraphs, and I have quite the variety of ocs and possible new ocs (Im very flexible with characters).

⟢ | requirements

Important things first, please be older than 18 to reply as I am 19 and many of my ideas come with nsfw themes linked into them!

Please be patient when it comes to replies, I am a busy man and have adhd so I may get distracted and forget to reply! As well as I have a job, so replies may vary during those times.

Be open to short, three or so paragraphs, replies every now and then. I get burnt out pretty quick when always having to write out a lot, especially when I’m not feeling it. Although I mostly always mirror, I do sometimes tend to scale down on how much I write.

Open communication!! I can’t stress this enough, I would love to be able to talk out of character no matter what its about!

My all time favorites are horror, romance, angst, hurt/comfort, fluff and fantasy! As for pairings, I strictly only do M/M or M/NB. Im open to trans characters and others, I don’t discriminate, especially with how Im trans myself! On the topic of characters, some of my characters may be stereotypical. As stated previously, I have a big variety of characters and some may have some stereotypical elements. On top of that, if we do include nsfw, in terms of intimacy between our characters, I would prefer to write it out from a sub pov (sub bottom, sub top, or sub switch). i'm an artist (sometimes), an animator (even-less-times), rpf shipper TO THE MAX, a self-acclaimed musical genius who plays guitar occasionally, a musical-lover, a pansexual freak /lh, and an all-round force of unhinged chaos.

i am also: anemic as fuck, sleep-deprived always, and someone with diagnosed adhd + anxiety. as a taste for what you should expect lol

i don't post too too much here, but i lurk and repost sometimes, which is enough in my books. i don't have tags or sectioned fancy doo-dads, but i mostly dabble in others' stuff, so it's a needless endeavor for me to start my own tags :/.

as my bio suggests, i write and post sometimes on AO3 @yonix_0! i'm not a particularly good writer by any means, but i'm at least literate enough to write stories that i think are pretty neat! heaven knows how i've managed to even finish any wips...

-Shoot From The Hip. because who doesn't like 4 goofy, funny, fully-grown british men making fools of themselves on big stages? an improv troupe based in london who, despite most of them having partners, kiss a whole lot on stage! (it's all in good fun though, for the bit). gotta love all the lgbtq rep, along with the belly laughs and countless spit takes. the community is also the loveliest thing ever, not a single debbie downer i swear.

-Haikyuu! hey, just because the anime and manga have both ended does not mean that i will stop my obsession. (it's been half a decade, what is wrong with me). ahem. what's not to love about a genuinely amazing and accurate representation of volleyball, while also having a ton of hot characters to simp over and ship together?! kuroshou. kagehinatsukiyama. sakuatsu. osasuna. bokuakakuroken. and everything else. gotta love being a multishipper. i rest my case.

-Hamilton, Heathers, Ride the Cyclone. yes i am lumping all of my favorite musicals together because i don't want this to be 10x longer. hamilton is just, augh, so much drama and chaos and straight up death, plus actual history. addicted from first watch istg. and the music is amazing, lin-manuel miranda is cracked fr. love a good theatrical autobiography. heathers is a great representation of so many issues, esp to do with eds, health issues, suicide, manipulation, r@pe, etc. while maintaining some form of comedy. it's such a stereotype for american highschools and what most media perceives it to be, but the denouement and character development is to die for. also seventeen is my favorite song, fight me. ride the cyclone is so stupidly funny but the character arcs are overall the best out of these three, genuinely. i hated ocean sm at the beginning just for her to be in my top 3 favs. the characters are... interesting to say the least, and the songs are drama-filled (read: weird), but the premise of some choir kids +my love jane doe dying on a ride and choosing who to revive through something of a singing competition is just *chefs kiss*. love it. GO WATCH THESE MUSICALS, THEY'RE AMAZING!!!!

-Slimecicle, Chuckle Sandwich, and Just Roll With It. charlie slimecicle is one of, probably, the only genuine "mcyt"'s left (we are not about to delve into dsmp/qsmp drama dw), even though he's not technically a minecrafter anymore. enough of that, slimecicle is a gamer/ytber with the most ridiculous punny humor you will ever bear witness. and the community's inside jokes are so so unhinged, it's great over here. chuckle sandwich is a podcast that charlie, jschlatt, and ted nivison started, where they talk about whatever and sometimes invite guests. it recently ended, but i still love putting it on in the bkgd while i work :). just roll with it (jrwi) is a dnd podcast that charlie, bizly, grizzly, and condifiction host. they post their sessions biweekly, and have a multitude of public campaigns to watch through. if you're a dnd nerd or just wanna have some fun delving into a cool tabletop rpg, go give them a watch. me personally, i would love to dm or play dnd with friends, but i got no dnd friends lmao.

RPF-typical disclaimer:

the point of real person (fan)fiction, is not to ship the real people that are living and breathing and roam the earth, but to ship their personalities because they seem good together in concept. take sfth's sam and luke for example. they both have a s/o, and yet i still write them together, not because i think they should cheat on their partners, but because their fanon selves often kiss in their plays and they act gay a lot.

Yo, my name's Blam. I use he/him, I'm an American adult, a digital artist, and I like to watch cartoons. Probably got Autism and ADHD, if that says anything about me. I can only read, write, and speak in English, and can't really understand any other language, just a little bit of Spanish. I'll be learning some ASL at a later point though, which I look forward to a lot. I draw a lot of fan art for the things that I like, but what I primarily draw is SMG4 fan art and stuff of my original characters from my comic Electric Blades. I'm personally fine with gore and sexual content (especially sexual humor) but only as long as it's within the appropriate places to share such content. Fandom-wise, I'm a multi-shipper but not a pro-shipper, which basically means I'm fine with all ships as long as they don't encourage harmful stereotypes, relationship types, and especially abuse. I have my preferences of course, but I'll indulge in whatever pretty much. I try not to be mean, so hopefully you try to do the same? That's pretty much it and enjoy my blog.

From what I remember the real issue there was that the artist just didn't have English as their first language and assumed those were just gendered adjectives, like a lot of languages have. (And I don't mean like the stereotypes associated with the words, a lot of english classes for the people who learn it as a recieved language teach those like "they mean the same thing but one is for boys and one is for girls")

Yes, maybe they should have checked it, or not made a comic like that if they aren't very good with the language in the first place, but you don't know what you don't know. Classic case of people assuming malice where there is actually ignorance.

~Their English seemed good enough for them to basically reinforce gender norms of 'women are only pretty and beautiful while men are only cool and handsome' rather than just having Sonic go. 'I appreciate the compliment but rather be called handsome/cool instead', which wouldn't have come off as... weird. The artist basically had Sonic's egotistical and ADHD riddled ass set Cream aside to explain what compliments are appropriate for certain genders and while those terms are pretty gendered.... Sonic... Sonic the Hedgehog I could never see giving a shit about any of that. May just be me, but Sonic always gave off a queer coding much like SpongeBob or Bugs Bunny.

Also, apparently, they went on a massive unfollow/block spree of trans sonic fam artist. I am not sure how true that is, but I saw it brought a few times.

So at one of my jobs - a goddamn grocery store which fuck do I wanna die - I always get compliments on my bagging abilities and how well I pack things. Making room for everything, keeping as much cold stuff together as possible, all frágiles on top, etc.

Yesterday, this older lady kept complicating me and kept saying something with a very heavy accent.... so I kept misunderstanding. I didn't react externally, but it through me for a loop for sure.

What I heard, twice, was her mentioning I'm a visual organizer and have an eye for it, probably because I'm autistic......

Which um, bold statement and could hold some issues and/or stereotypes behind it..... except I'm not? Neurodivergent for sure, ADHD is a present thing in my life.

So I'm very concerned about being careful of confirming anything to not also be perpetuating some stuff, and her to clarify

Artistic, she was calling me artistic and I was basically gaping at her thinking "Jesus some people just say things without thinking it through huh" 🤦🏻‍♀️

And she's right, and I appreciate the compliments - it just sounded closer to the first options due to her accent 😅
