I was thinking more of Charles taking care of a kid! Peter because when his mutant first manifest, but before he gets superspeed, his thoughts speed up even more than do and it makes him very nervous and tense. So Charles calms him down.

Some Details On The X-Men Swap Au That I’m Currently Writing A Oneshot On:

Erik is in a wheelchair and had telepathy and still Jewish. Charles can walk and has metal manipulation and the magnetism thing going on and is still old money rich.(can’t decide if I want Charles to have also been shot but makes metal leg braces and uses his powers to make himself walk and no one but Hank and maybe Emma is aware of it.) Raven is not Charles’s sister (or Erik’s) but is Erik’s right hand. Hank is slightly crazy but is the one person Charles trusts completely from the X-men. Charles was basically sold to Shaw as a kid by his mom(mommy issues). Emma loves to mess around with Charles and they somewhat grew up together but it’s still hostile.

Charles basically adopts Wanda,Pietro/Peter, and Lorna because Erik kinda refuses to acknowledge that those are legitimately his kids. It isn’t on purpose but like it happens(comedically). The kids (they are in their teens) are still with The Brotherhood but call Charles their other dad. He actually tries to bond with them and teaches Lorna how to control her powers better, and Wanda and Peter too. Always gives gifts that are specific to them and genuinely cares about them.

Charles took Shaw’s helmet and is dramatic but not exactly to the scale like Magento(OG Erik.) As a kid, Charles had two metal balls floating above his head (about the size of a baseball) that represented his emotions(they would spasm if he was angry) and were very flexible to manipulate to other objects if needed. He stopped using them because they gave what he was really feeling away and he used the metal to replace Shaw’s helmet after it got lost or something.

Charles nearly got his degree while Erik has it so he is called The Professor. I didn’t come up with a name for Charles and I didn’t feel like Magneto will fit that well.

So Magda is switched with Moira. David doesn’t exist here but I felt like I should mention him.

The Brotherhood swap with the X-men but some of the X-men are with the Brotherhood and vice versa if that makes sense.

Hi friend do you have any Charles/Erik fic recommendations of a gentle variety? I watched the First Class era recently and am just….a lil broken up Re:: the pain of Charles losing his best friend and his sister at the same time… and then bottling up that pain for as long as he could until “you took her away and you left me!”

Okay, nonnie! I've got a few here that may interest you. Now, I'm a big fan of hurt/comfort fics, so I can't promise anything too gentle, unfortunately. 😅 (Most of my bookmarks are hella dark apparently) Anyway! Ill list you some I recently read, and mostly remember.

How Still My Love by Regann

"A mysterious sleeping disease, three loyal guardians, and a friend-turned-foe with unclear motives. It might sound like something out of a fairy tale but it's life after Cuba in the Xavier manor for what's left of the so-called X-Men. When Charles can no longer lead them, it's up to Hank, Alex and Sean to figure out a way to protect their mentor, especially once Erik comes seeking an audience. This one I highly recommend, it's so cute, and the way the author played with fairy tales is fun. Fair warning tho, Erik doesn't stay at the end of this fic. But Charles' heart is a bit more mended.

This one is a time travel fic. Basically young child age Charles, Raven, and Erik replace their older counterparts. The kids build a close friendship real quick, and I believe it's ongoing.

OKAY OKAY BUT HEAR ME OUT -- CHERIK OUTER BANKS AU

Charles as the kook prince who actually turns out nice but just has awful family. Erik as the pogue whose mom went missing at sea looking for treasure, and CPS is on his back.

I feel like raven could be a cross between kie and wheezie: charles's little step sister, but also the rich girl who hangs out with the pogues and always has.

Can't tell if moira would be topper or just one of charles's background friends? idek. Maybe she wouldn't be in this, since i like moira and don't want to mischaracter her into being topper 😂 but idk i don't feel like she's one of the pogues.

I think we're sticking to the first class gang here, so we've got sean and alex and hank as the other pogues (Alex and sean split the jj role, hank is obviously pope). And we've got Darwin and angel, who i don't really know what to do with ngl... since angel just left for shaw... and poor darwin... you know... so maybe they wouldn't be in this either? or would be smaller roles?

Rafe = Charles's awful step brother (obviously). What's his name? cain? Ward: the stepdad. Kurt, right? (i hate he has the same name as poor nightcrawler.)

The cops (shoupe, peterkin, etc) are the cia agents maybe? not bad, just not fully on the mutant's side.

Sebastian Shaw is that guy on barbados, pulling all the strings, maybe? Or we get rid of kurt and have sebastian shaw be charles's stepdad or some shit?

Anyway. So the pogues are all chillin, and then they discover some clues to the treasure and relating to Edie's disappearance. They start searching, but they need info from the Xaviers that Raven maybe can't get to? so, Erik starts to hang out with Charles, who he's had a maybe-sorta-kinda crush on for a while, and the two begin to fall for each other.

oh and they get some gold and go to barbados and people fight each other and it's crazy. but more importantly ✨cherik✨ and that adorable kiss scene in the rain with the cute nicknames

While on Peacock+, I saw a James McAvoy project called My Son and the synopsis is about his 7 year old son being kidnapped. To me, it was like, that sounds like a Cherik and Quickson fic idea.

With both Charles and Erik being feral unstoppable dads getting their son back from presumedly Shaw.
