𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 ( l. minho x h. jisung ) - 03.
warnings: y/n is pretty turned on by what she listened, she mentioned it a lot, reader has tattoos. words: 1.9k
The faint hum of the hallway lights buzzed in your ears as you nervously adjusted the strap of your bag. y/bsf/n trailed behind you, carrying a dish she insisted on making because, as she put it, “We can’t show up empty-handed and look like hooligans.” You still weren’t entirely sure how the two of you ended up here—invited for dinner by Han Jisung and Lee Minho, of all people.
It had been a day since your awkward first encounter, and just as you’d begun convincing yourself that you wouldn’t see them again for a while, Jisung had texted you, asking for dinner. And right after that you heard from your small room sounds of making out session and probably something more, your mind still try to process that since. You were fairly certain that Jisung didn’t mean to sound as flustered as he looked. And Minho, who had poked his head out of their doorway to silently stare, didn’t help matters.
And now here you were, standing outside their door with your nerves threatening to turn you into a puddle.
“You good?” y/bsf/n whispered, elbowing you playfully as she balanced the glass casserole dish.
“Totally fine,” you muttered, though your voice betrayed you. “I mean, it’s just dinner. What’s the worst that could happen?”
“Don’t say that,” she teased. “Now the universe is listening.”
You shot her a glare, but before you could retort, the door swung open.
Jisung stood there with a grin that was far too bright for the dimly lit hallway. His hair was slightly damp, as if he’d just showered, and he wore an oversized sweatshirt that looked far too cozy for its own good.
“Hey! You guys made it,” he said, stepping aside to let you both in.
Minho appeared from the kitchen a moment later, wiping his hands on a dish towel. He wore a plain white T-shirt and black sweatpants, and you could tell he’d been cooking from the faint hint of soy sauce in the air. Oh those black sweatpants, showing perfectly his thick thighs- maybe that's what jisung was riding yesterday and whining about. Oh shut up, mind of yours.
“Welcome,” Minho said, his voice smooth but casual. His eyes lingered on the dish in y/bsf/n’s hands. “You brought something?”
“Of course!” y/bsf/n replied with a proud grin. “just a tiramisù. Family recipe. Where do you want it?”
Jisung grabbed the dish eagerly, practically bouncing on his feet. “Food! You already win points for this.” He gestured toward the small dining table near the kitchen. “Come on in. Make yourselves at home.”
You followed y/bsf/n into the apartment, glancing around as you stepped inside. Their space was cozy, much like your own, but far more lived-in. A worn couch sat against the wall, with blankets and pillows scattered across it. The coffee table was littered with notebooks, stray pens, and a controller for the gaming console that blinked faintly from under the TV stand. A casual playlist settled up on the Tv. The kitchen, however, was surprisingly neat—something you suspected was Minho’s doing.
The walls had small personal touches—a calendar hung next to the fridge, scribbled with dates and notes in messy handwriting—and still in Korean, which is a language that you still are managing to learn. A corkboard above the counter held Polaroid pictures of their bandmates, and a small sticky note read “Don’t let Jisung near the stove—Minho.”
“Do you guys live here alone?” y/bsf/n asked, her voice light and conversational.
Yes, they do.
“Yep,” Jisung replied, already setting the dish down with a satisfied hum. “We got this place a while ago. Small, but it works. You knew, every fan knows about the Minsung apartment—you got crazy all over it when it came out the news years ago.
“Small apartments seem to be the theme around here,” you joked softly, earning a laugh from Jisung and a small, approving smile from Minho.
“True,” Minho said, picking up a pot and placing it on the table. “But it’s all about how you use the space.”
“Wow, look at you. Wisdom from Chef Lee,” Jisung teased, pulling out a chair for Y/Bsf/N. “Sit. Seriously. You’re guests. You get VIP treatment tonight.” Your heart skips a beat when your eyes meets his, a small shiver runs down your spine.
You exchanged a glance with y/bsf/n, who stifled a grin, and the two of you took your seats at the table. It was small—only meant for four people—but the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
Jisung and Minho started placing dishes on the table with casual ease, like they’d done this a hundred times before. There was a steaming pot of kimchi stew, plates of fried rice, sautéed vegetables, and grilled meat. It smelled incredible, and your stomach growled quietly in approval.
“You guys really went all out,” y/bsf/n said, clearly impressed. “I didn’t expect such a feast.”
“It’s nothing fancy,” Minho replied, brushing off the compliment with a wave of his hand. “We just threw some things together.” Is not like Minho and his boyfriend stood there in front of the meat section fighting over which one could be better for that dinner.
“Don’t listen to him,” Jisung chimed in, sliding into the seat next to Minho. “He’s being humble. Minho’s a cooking genius. I just help by, you know… existing.”
“You burned rice last week,” Minho deadpanned, earning a cackle from your best friend, a giggle left your throat as you try to cover it with a cough.
“IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!” Jisung wailed, throwing his arms up dramatically. “Hyung, don’t expose me in front of our guests.” Minho's eyes soften at the view of his boyfriend all worked up by a tease, he grins.
You couldn’t help but laugh. “So Minho does all the cooking?”
“Pretty much,” Minho replied with a shrug. “It’s easier that way. He eats, I cook.”
“Sounds like a fair trade,” your friend teased.
Your chopsticks starts to peek out the meat that got grilled, a smile on your face seeing the playful manner between your friend and the two guys, and for some point you even forgot about the fact that they are really your two biases. You move your hair behind your ear and the tattoo on your neck exposes a little, Jisung's eyes glance at it silently, he swallows.
He tries to get is focus somewhere else, everywhere expect your now exposed next with a dragon tattoo that he swear it could be out from spirited away, the head of the dragon goes behind your ear and it trace down until your shoulder. His pants tighten. Jisung leaned forward with a dramatic sigh, chopsticks clutched in his hand. “Okay, okay. I have to ask: who’s the better cook, you or your best friend here?”
Your friend gasped in mock offense. “You have to ask? Obviously me.” You snorted. “She boils water and thinks it’s gourmet.”
“hey!” she shrieked, slapping the table lightly as everyone burst out laughing. “I made tiramisù tonight! Show some respect!”
“I’m just saying… it’s one dish,” you teased.
“you’re cruel,” Jisung said between giggles, pressing a hand to his chest like the dramatics were contagious. “We’ll just pretend you’re both chefs. Peace restored.” The way that he said your name makes your stomach drops a little, your eyes moves on his for a brief moment.
Minho cleared his throat, clearly trying to suppress a smile. “Don’t encourage her delusion, Jisung.”
As the laughter died down and you reached for your water glass, you caught Jisung’s eyes lingering on you again. This time, his playful expression faltered slightly. You raised a brow in silent question, but he quickly looked away—focusing on the stew in front of him as if his life depended on it.
You frowned, a little puzzled, but let it go.
The meal slowed as everyone began picking at the remnants on their plates. Minho leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms as he surveyed the empty dishes with satisfaction. “I’m impressed,” he said. “You guys kept up. Usually, Jisung eats enough for three people.”
“I DO NOT!” Jisung protested, mouth still half-full of rice. “Hyung, don’t expose me—again!”
Your friend laughed, pushing her plate away. “I can see it. Jisung’s got that ‘always hungry’ energy.”
You bit back a smile as you grabbed your water glass again, catching a glimpse of your reflection in its polished surface. As you shifted slightly in your seat, the neckline of your shirt moved just enough to reveal a faint glimpse of the tattoo ink on the side of your neck, again. It happened so fast that you didn’t even notice—but Jisung did, he's counting how many times that shirt moves, showing your tattoo.
His chopsticks froze mid-air.
At first, you were still talking with your best friend unaware that his gaze was now glued to the delicate design inked into your skin. It wasn’t bold or flashy, but it was beautiful—a small, elegant piece that seemed both subtle and personal.
Jisung swallowed hard. Heat crept up the back of his neck, spreading to his ears like wildfire. Minho caught on almost immediately.
“What’s wrong with you?” Minho asked, raising a brow as he looked between Jisung and your very oblivious form. “You good?”
Jisung blinked, startled, and quickly shoveled food into his mouth as if to distract himself. “I—I’m fine! Just... just hungry.” His voice was small, almost a whisper for only his boyfriend to notice.
Minho gave him a suspicious look but said nothing.
By now, Jisung had already stolen a few more glances at you, hoping you wouldn’t notice. It wasn’t like he hadn’t seen tattoos before, he has and a lots of them all over his body—but something about you having one caught him completely off-guard.
It was unexpected. Cool.
And it made his heart race for no good reason.
Minho eventually announced that he was starting on the dishes, leaving you, your best friend and Jisung lingering at the table. Jisung still hadn’t fully recovered, though he tried desperately to act normal.
“So…” he blurted, leaning on his elbows as he looked at you. “I, uh—what made you get a tattoo?”
You blinked at him, caught off guard. “What?”
Your friend perked up immediately. “Ohhh, he noticed. I told you it was pretty.”
Your hand instinctively moved to your neck, fingertips brushing the ink. “You saw that?”
“Uh… yeah,” Jisung admitted sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck. “Sorry, I wasn’t staring or anything—”
“You definitely were,” Minho’s voice called out dryly from the kitchen, though he didn’t even turn around.
Jisung shot him a look. “Baby, shut up.”
You couldn’t help but laugh, your cheeks warming as you shrugged. “It’s okay. Honestly, I forget I have it half the time.”
Jisung tilted his head slightly, his flustered energy replaced with genuine curiosity. “What does it mean? Or is it just for the vibe?”
“It’s… personal,” you replied softly, though your tone wasn’t guarded. “A reminder of something important.”
He nodded slowly, taking your words to heart. There was something about the way he looked at you—gentle, unassuming—that made you feel oddly at ease.
“I get that,” he said quietly. “It suits you.”
You blinked, surprised by the sincerity in his voice. Your friend grinned knowingly, elbowing you under the table, but you ignored her.
“Thanks,” you mumbled, unable to stop the small smile tugging at your lips.
For the rest of the night, Jisung seemed just a little quieter than usual—still full of jokes and laughter, but his gaze lingered just a moment longer whenever you spoke. And whenever you absentmindedly touched your neck, you swore you caught him blushing all over again.

hongjoong🌶️
The relationship with Hongjoong feels like a continuous exchange of artistic ideas. He’s intrigued when you introduce him to Caribbean beats—especially reggae and soca. He can’t help but play around with the rhythms, blending them with his own music. One evening, as you both sit by the beach, he plays a melody he’s been working on—a fusion of traditional Korean sounds mixed with a hint of reggae.
Hongjoong: nervously, holding his breath “I... I hope I did it justice. Do you like it?”
As the first few notes play, you smile and start dancing, feeling the beat blend both cultures perfectly.
You: grinning “Hongjoong, it’s amazing! You really listened—you got it so right!”
Hongjoong: relieved, lighting up “Really? That means everything. So, should we add lyrics together? Korean and... maybe a bit of Patois?”
This collaboration becomes something you both do regularly, and soon, he surprises you with a track dedicated to the beauty of Caribbean culture and his love for it.

Later, he surprises you with a full Caribbean-inspired dinner, complete with homemade roti.
Seonghwa: nervously, serving you “I... I did my best. I hope it tastes just right.”

Yeosang: smiling “And he really tricked the tiger? I love how clever he is.”
When he finds out some of these stories were told to you by your grandparents, he’s even more drawn in. On lazy weekend evenings, it becomes a routine for you both to share stories, and he insists on a new one each time, sometimes even adding his own twist.
Yeosang: grinning mischievously “What if Anansi had a little help this time?”

Threerings' Dinner Plan
Okay so you've got the average or more than the average amount of stress and limitations to your time and/or ability, but you like to eat good food. And you know you need to both eat healthier and more cheaply (i.e. home cooked food.) What do you do?
Well in the past few months I've kinda perfected a system for low effort cooking of very healthy meals that last for many days of leftovers. None of this is revolutionary or anything or original but IDK it's working really well for me so I'm sharing.
(Also this is for omnivores. Sorry non meat eaters.)
Basically the idea is sheet pan meals. Like I said, not revolutionary. But I've found a system to make it as easy and low-effort as possible.
Step One: Choose your meat and recipe.
So mostly I use chicken for this, because it's cheapest. But if your store is having a great sale on pork or beef, by all means. This last week I did pork tenderloin cause they were super cheap I just searched for a recipe for sheet pan pork tenderloin and adapted it.
But we're gonna assume you're going chicken. So I really only like chicken breasts, but if you like thighs you can use those because it's cheaper. I typically use about 1.75-2lbs of chicken at at time for these recipes.
So what I do is buy the thin sliced chicken breasts from the store. The benefit here is they are already pre-trimmed of all the nasty parts so you're not paying for bits of chicken you don't want and also you don't have to handle and cut the chicken yourself. All I do is open the package and I cut each piece of sliced chicken in half in the middle, horizontally. You don't have to do that, but it makes all the pieces about the same size and it fits better on the tray and then people can take exactly as much meat as they want more easily. (I'm only feeding two adults but it would work well for kids that way.)
Step Two: Veggies
So that's your meat, then you need veggies. I use frozen veggies because they are 1)cheaper and 2)pre-cut. You can pretty much use whatever veggies you like with whatever recipe, but I try to keep it in theme. Like with a Mediterranean dish I did onions and bell peppers and cauliflower. Recently I got a bag of "roasting vegetable blend" that was excellent with brussel sprouts, butternut squash, and onions. Get the higher quality veg like broccoli "florets" cause it's worth a few cents more. You will need/want more veggies than you think, like 20 oz total, you can mix a couple small bags of different ones per tray. And they will shrink a good deal in cooking.
Step Three: Sauce/seasoning.
And then we have seasoning/sauce. This is where I turn to internet recipes for "sheet pan whatever chicken." But I have a few I've used that I've adapted so I'll give them here. Whatever you do, basically you just mix the sauce and pour it over the chicken and/or vegetables and throw it all on a sheet tray and cook it in the oven. (Specifics below.)
Korean Chicken
4 tablespoons dark soy sauce (I've tried both dark works better)
4 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons neutral oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 teaspoons Sriracha sauce
4 cloves garlic , minced (or ½ teaspoon garlic powder) (I use pre-minced jar garlic for ease)
1 tablespoon gochugaru red pepper flakes (if you don't have these just either use a smaller amount of regular red pepper flakes or just more sriracha. This shouldn't be really HOT, just tangy. )
Do Broccoli and Chicken with this, and mix it all in the sauce. It makes the absolute best broccoli EVER. Like I just want a plate of this broccoli it's so GOOD.
Greek Chicken
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
6 cloves garlic minced
1 tbsp dried oregano
1 tbsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup feta cheese crumbled
(Sub pre-juiced lemon juice and jarred garlic for ease.) Marinate the chicken in the mixture for like 30 minutes first if you have time. Onions, bell peppers and zucchini is good for this. Don't add feta until the last 3 minutes of cooking, sprinkle feta over it and then put it back to get a little melty and browned.
Shawarma Chicken
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1½ teaspoons paprika (may substitute smoked paprika)
2 teaspoons ground cumin
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon fine salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons neutral or olive oil
Juice of ½ lemon
You can again marinate the chicken for a bit if you want. But you don't have to. I recommend cauliflower for this, with whatever else you like. Grape tomatoes are good too. For this one I sprinkled the veggies with curry powder to make sure they got seasoned because there wasn't that much of the marinade.
So for ALL of these the process is this:
Preheat over to 450
Spread the frozen veggies all over a sheet pan (wrap the pan in aluminum foil first for easy clean up.) You can drizzle them with oil, salt and pepper, or a little of the sauce/marinade and toss to cover. Toss the sheet in the oven while it's still preheating. This will get the veggies started and defrosted before you add the chicken so it will all cook together.
Meanwhile get the chicken ready/wait 10-15 minutes for the oven to heat and the veggies to start cooking. (If you're using smaller/more tender veggies you can cut this time. Skip this entirely if you're using fresh.)
Mix your thin sliced chicken pieces with the marinade/sauce. Remove veggies from the oven and push to the sides to make room for your chicken in the middle. You can also simply lay the chicken pieces over veggies if you don't care about the veggies getting carmelized. Arrange your chicken and dump all the sauce. Return to oven.
Cook for about 20-25 minutes. You can check the temp of the chicken with a thermometer, but it's so thin it should be fine. This is why we start the veggies first so they can get mostly cooked and have time to start browning without overcooking chicken.
Remove from oven.
Serve with rice. I have been going the ultra-lazy route of using frozen microwaveable rice, but some of you may have rice cookers.
Congratulations you have a super healthy meal. If you feel crazy you could make a second tray of veggies at the same time and just have less meat with each meal to stretch your $. You could also add beans to your veggies and same.
My husband and I can get dinners for 4-5 days out of one of these meals. But neither of us eats a lot at a sitting, so ymmv on that.
You can also probably see how to adapt this. Find a sauce/marinade recipe, choose veggies and meat, and go! You will have to figure out the cook time for different kinds of meat though.

Beetroot Risotto
Spooky sul sul, tombler!
This post is the second part of the Halloween party for the Ito family. Borrowing Stella's kitchen, now it's Vienna's time to conjure up some witchcraft with her cooking skill. Also by @icemunmun-spicy-scalpel, tonight Vienna cooks up some beetroot risotto -- human-friendly version can be downloaded here, and a vampire-friendly version, smartly named Red Count's Risotto can be downloaded here. Don't forget to update Custom Food Interactions (its last update is November 25th so make sure you have the latest version) for the recipe to appear in your game.
This recipe is a great way to balance the intake of vitamins and fibers during the festive occasion. If you have @icemunmun-spicy-scalpel's other CCs, you can also use your own rice and red radish on this recipe.
Bibbidi bobbidi boo, let's start with choppity chop the ingredients! I think the first ingredient (radish) is custom-made because I've never seen it before.
So, I don't know how popular Netflix's Culinary Class War is, but I was definitely hooked with the show, especially because my favorite contestant managed stay in the save zone until later in the show, even winning the whole competition later. No spoiler, tho. 😉
Anyway, one contestant, nicknamed Napoli Matfia, is known for his risotto. In Korean, 맛 'mat' means "taste" -- so matfia could be translated to "mafia of taste" or something like that, which I must admit is solid nickname to choose. From his cooking, I learnt a lot about the cooking steps of risotto, which I can explain in the paragraphs below. So now, we go back to the recipe.
First, dry-toast the rice in the pan. The rice is ready if it's hot to touch. Once the rice is hot, add in the broth. Vienna is using vegetable broth because the recipe she's following is vegan, but you can use chicken/beef broth as an alternative. Keep stirring the risotto for about 12 minutes, remove from the heat and wait a minute. Then, we perform what is called mantecare. There is no exact translation for mantecare in English, but it's an important part in cooking risotto. The term indicates a technique of adding fresh, cold butter and grated cheese into the risotto when the cooking process is almost finish, and stirring/tossing it vigorously that it develops creaminess. I mean, I'm not biased or anything, but here's a video of Napoli Matfia doing a mantecare. Totally not biased, nope.
Voilà! The beetroot risotto is ready to serve! Vienna really made sure everyone got their daily intake of fibers with the roasted carrots side dish.
The adults finished decorating the Halloween table right around the same time Frejr and Soleil went home from Trick-and-Treat-ing. It was a festive spread! Brownies, cupcakes, iced lemon teas, horchatas and some beers for the parents.
The first round is for the babies! They're so well-behaved that Nanami felt it was safe to let them sit directly below the party table. The beetroot risotto Vienna made is soft enough for their smol liddol teef to chew.
Osh Cous B'Gosh gathered to dine in front of the party table for the second round. Frejr and Soleil ran off to count their candies right after they finished their venison steak.
Leia is now old enough to sit with the adults on the main dining table. She's extremely thrilled! Stella just rolled her eyes in adoration.
For her husband, Vienna specially made a vampire-friendly Red Count's risotto which features plasma fruits instead of regular vegetable. They also got him a special plasma fruit cupcake so he wouldn't miss out too much on the sweets.
So, with the Halloween party posts finished, we're at the end of my Simblreen posts. Honestly I haven't really played again since the end of October, so updates might be slow. But yea! There are several plans to do in the near future with the Ito family: the grandkids visiting their grandparents on Mt. Komorebi, aging up everyone, Leia entering university... Oof, so much things! But until then, dag dag!
P.S. Detailed cooking process for risotto is taken from this article, this article -- and completely unbiased, this video.

omg can you do smth like baking with tws pls
.°baking w/tws・°
genre. fluff
warning. Mention of food
pairing. Bf!tws x fem!reader
a/n. Here you go ^_^
Shinyu
Shinyu is the one who comes up with the idea, casually saying, “Let’s bake a chocolate strawberry cake,” as if it’s the easiest thing in the world. But once you’re in the kitchen, he quickly assumes the role of the supervisor rather than the baker. He’ll read the recipe aloud, emphasizing every step like it’s crucial, only to end up sitting on the counter, watching you do most of the work. His main contribution? Reaching for things on the highest shelves and sneaking tastes of the batter when he thinks you’re not looking. When you’re making the chocolate glaze, he’s there devouring the leftovers straight out of the bowl. You catch him, of course, but he just grins at you with chocolate on his lips. The real reason he suggested baking? He just loves eating anything you make, and when you tell him the cake has to cool before eating, he pouts dramatically. By the time it’s ready, you’re cuddled on the couch, sharing the cake and enjoying the sweet treat—and each other.
Dohoon
It’s past midnight, and neither of you can sleep when Dohoon suddenly suggests, “Let’s bake something.” You spend the next half hour scrolling through recipes, debating what to make, before settling on chocolate brownies. Of course, halfway through, you realize you’re missing half the ingredients. He pulls on his hoodie and runs to the nearby convenience store, coming back with everything you need (plus a few snacks he grabbed for himself). The kitchen becomes a warzone of whispers and muffled giggles as you both try to complete a “quiet challenge” to avoid waking the neighbors. But between the clinking bowls and suppressed laughter, the challenge quickly fails. At one point, he smears a bit of chocolate batter on your cheek, pretending it was an accident, and his laughter only gets louder when you try to retaliate. The brownies turn out perfectly, but the best part? The spontaneous fun that makes the late-night memory unforgettable.
Youngjae
You’re cuddling on the couch when you suggest baking together, but Youngjae is too comfortable to move. “Do we have to?” he groans, trying to pull you back into his arms. But you’re persistent, and eventually, you drag him into the kitchen. Since he’s still too lazy to put in much effort, you decide on something simple: strawberry sandwiches with whipped cream. He brightens up and suggests adding gummies to the mix, but halfway through, you realize he’s eating all the strawberries and candies instead of helping. “Youngjae!” you scold, swatting at his hand as he pops another gummy into his mouth with a mischievous grin. The sandwiches turn out uneven but delicious, and you both end up back on the couch, enjoying your creation while laughing about his complete lack of self-control.
Hanjin
Hanjin suggests recording the entire process—not for social media, but just for the two of you to watch and laugh about later. “We’ll call it Chef Hanjin’s Masterpiece,” he jokes, setting up his phone to capture the chaos. You’re not actually baking, though. Instead, you’re making hwachae, a Korean fruit punch, to snack on during your next K-drama binge. He insists on doing all the chopping himself, claiming it’s too dangerous for you, so you’re left with the “important” tasks like fetching the bowl, drinks, and ice. The video captures him dramatically showing off his fruit-cutting “skills,” complete with exaggerated poses and commentary. Once the hwachae is ready, you sit down together with your K-drama, replaying the video and laughing at his antics while enjoying the sweet, refreshing treat.
Jihoon
“Let’s bake cookies!” Jihoon announces enthusiastically, but what starts as a fun baking session quickly turns into chaos. He’s not interested in following the recipe—he’s here for the mischief. Within minutes, there’s flour on your shirt, batter on your cheek, and Jihoon is running around the kitchen laughing as you chase him down for revenge. “It’s part of the creative process!” he claims, dodging your attempt to smear more dough on him. By the time the cookies are in the oven, the kitchen looks like a war zone, and you’re both covered in flour and chocolate. When the cookies come out looking less-than-perfect, Jihoon just shrugs. “They still taste good, and we had fun, right?” He steals a cookie, pulls you into a flour-dusted hug, and grins. “Mission accomplished.”
Kyungmin
Kyungmin loves the idea of making tanghulu (candied fruit), but instead of the usual sugar syrup, you decide to try marshmallows because they’re his favorite. The kitchen is quiet and cozy as you melt the marshmallows together, dipping fruit into the gooey sweetness. Every time you lean in for a quick kiss, he gets adorably flustered, his cheeks turning pink. “Focus,” he mumbles, but he secretly loves it. You’re both doing this to take your minds off the stress of school assignments, and it works perfectly. The tanghulu turns out sweet and sticky, and the time spent together is just what you both needed. After cleaning up, you sit down with your creation, feeding each other pieces while chatting and forgetting all about the stress that brought you to the kitchen in the first place.
Little reminder that request are always open

Have you ever tried the korean cucumber salad? A few days ago I've made it for the first time and I'm currently OBSESSED with it ^^ Today I wanted to at least try to make a proper meal out of it and personally I think it came out great! Here's the recipe:
100g of konjac noodles - 9kcal
127g of cucumber - 18kcal
0.5tsp of soy sauce - 2kcal
1tsp of Gochujang paste - 20kcal
2 cloves of garlic (minced) - 15kcal
0.5tsp of chili pepper powder - 0kcal
0.5tsp of vinegar - 0kcal
(TOTAL: 64 calories!!)
Cut up your cucumber, place it into a bowl, rub it with salt and put in the fridge for 30-60minutes. Then get the cucumber out of the fridge and rince it with water at least 3 times. In a seperate bowl, mix your soy sauce, garlic, chili, Gochujang, vinegar and a little bit of water(the original recipe asked for chili/sesame oil but I replaced it with water) in order to make the sauce. Prepare the noodles according to the package and add it to the cucumber, then pour in your sauce and mix well. Enjoy!!
(Just a reminder that you DO deserve to eat, you NEED to eat to survive and function properly, you are beautiful just the way you are and you don't need to change anything about you and your body <3 I know how dangerous eating disorders are and how they can ruin your body. I know how hard recovery can be, so please don't force yourself and take it one step at a time. Eating disorders are NOTHING to brag about and I'm not romantizing them in any way. I'm just posting simple recipes while learning how to cook. Please stay safe <333)

HELLO IM BACK (the sid should have gender affirming sex anon) bc i just realized the real and true reason for sid’s old jock. it looks like an infection hazard right?? THATS THE POINT. the constant dick checks needed to prevent a rash. having a glorified 15 step korean skin care routine for his dick and balls. demanding nate double check his junk.
i had a whole thing about sid fucking his way across the masculinity spectrum to tell u and i can’t express it rn :( i am slightly high i think sid starts out w some fairly stereotypical cishet ideas of masculinity and sex, thinking in the middle of the flyers era misgendering. assumes his visceral negative reaction to getting babygirled is as much the sub part as gender (also bc prob has a lot of cishet ideas about gender and penetration and power) then he gets baby boy-ed and it’s like iiiii can shooow uuuu the woooorld like i think he’s a switch (sex competition!) which imo is underexplored but idk maybe he was operating off the hind brain assumption that bc he was topping in a certain sitch he’s be in charge and gets baby boy-ed by a power bottom. or maybe he tries anal but decides penetration doesn’t get him the way a handjob does bc he wants to touch dicks! idk i think sex gets a lot more wet n wild when penetration isnt treated as “realer” than all other forms even if it can be fun! i am high and this is probably a more nuanced topic than i can express rn sorry :( i just was struck w inspiration about sid’s nasty jock and demanding his junk be looked at to see if other ppl thought he was getting a rash or not
sid gets wiggly when condescendingly called sport
ur so right re nate and the eroticization of the everyday via sid’s masculinity kink. also i think one time the sink breaks and sid’s hind brain is like I Know What To Do and it’s not until he’s standing in front of the sink wearing a white tank top jeans toolbelt and holding a hammer (for a sink???) w nate staring at him expectantly that sid realizes he got all his knowledge from porn and has no clue what to do when facing an actual sink
also i think nate can trick? sid into doing chores if he frames it as fulfilling sid’s being a middle aged man kink. home depot dad kink. babe bring home the bacon. hey handsome going hunting? (grocery shopping). hey stud gimme a ride? wow we should compare charcoal vs gas grill maintaince. man these burgers are so good u gotta show me the recipe
i’ve mostly talked about sid here but ur nate idea w him having his everyday in a box and sec in a box and sid exploding the boxes is soooooo good
ok bye im going to go eat peanut butter. wait no i have chocolate cake!!!!
BESTIE WELCOME BACK 😍🥰😘 lol i love u and feel free to come into my inbox high and craving chocolate cake anytime. im laughing and delighted
LMAOOO re: sid’s nasty jock being an excuse for regular junk inspections, im crying ur SO right bestie. sid keeps being like: oh nooo i have to get my junk inspected again :( and someone has to fondle it while talking about my cock and balls in excruciating detail :( oh nooo what if they have to take out a magnifying glass :( to check for an infection :( and then they’d have to KEEP talking to me regularly about by cock and balls. and inspect it. every day.
anyone else: sid why don’t you just get a new jock
sid: no :) can’t. ✨superstition✨
like it would be SO ON BRAND for him. im crying. and also rolling in this headcanon like a pig in filth (read: sid’s junk in his jock)
re: sid working his way up to it and discovering the delights and dynamics of queer sex as an underbaked youngling, u r cooking and now i’m thinking about, like. sid nervously for one of his first sort of hook ups working his way up to insisting on topping with a very effeminate gay dude (since he feels safe asking for it there) and the guy just blowing his mind going “mh honey you’re such a stud, you’re gonna come and fill me right up, aren’t you?” sid goes UH. yes. YES PLEASE. and the sex essentially starts the process of boiling the frog for him, bc the guy is like. clearly at least a a decade older, clearly handling the reigns, but he’s also luxuriating in getting a cock inside him, calls sid (“just, uh. don’t call me kid, please.”) a sport, a stud, a good boy, basically sort of caringly soft doms him (“oh you’re gonna blow your load soon, aren’t you, baby boy? inside me? it’s okay baby, your big cock feels so good, i want it.”) while also begging for a cock in his ass. by the time sid walks out of there his queer third eye is blown wide the fuck open and he starts sucking and fucking his way through pittsburgh, craving nothing less than the high of shrimp colour sexual encounters. figuring out the shape of his (masc kink) sexual preferences one ultra specific hookup at a time.
the thing is that as a rookie he’s small in hockey terms, but he’s still a big guy compared to the normal population. so it’s not exactly hard to start topping dudes. but i think he does the classic dom top thing a couple of times and it gets a little boring. he loves fucking jocks, albeit starts out fucking smaller guys than him. he’s ecstatic the first time a bearded guy bigger than him goes to his knees and praises how pretty his cock is between sucking him off. he loves being called baby boy. sometimes even likes being called “kid” (but only in a specific gay hookup way). over the years he grows to like and appreciate all sorts of little masc epithets (big guy, handsome, mister, and ultimately daddy). i’m with you re: absolutely a switch, although i think he works his way up to some stuff. he just always, regardless of dynamic, enjoys sex the most when it’s full of masculinisation kink. he loves to be a dude fucking dudes. any which way. he loves touching a dick
i’m laughing so much @ nate tricking him into doing chores via middle aged dad kink bc why are u SO right about this. this is real to me. once nate figures the masc kink thing out he is milking that cow cock day and night about it. “hey handsome going hunting? (grocery shopping)” and “wow we should compare charcoal vs gas grill maintaince” are going to live in my mind rent free forever now, thank u. i’m gonna wake up in the middle of the night two weeks from now thinking: “hunting (grocery shopping)”. and the fact that sid 100% gets off on it. thrives on being referred to like this. sid wants to be the mustachioed porno plumber so bad. nate lets him tinker and break the sink even more just for the kink of it before they break 3 hours and two rounds of sex later and finally call an actual plumber. it’s a good thing they’re millionaires that can afford to break their appliances even more before hiring a professional to fix it.
#this ask cleared my skin watered my crops etc.#come back soon anon#kookanswers#anon#masculinisation and the real guy#sidnate#long post

Chapter 21: One Step At A Time
Chapter Word Count: 4,316
Anything in Bold Italics are Korean/Another language.
Master List | Prev | Next
After months, the tour was finally over. New Years passed just over a week ago, getting you past the Golden Disc Awards.
The Be The Sun era had come to an end and most award shows were done, each member now had the chance to go home, take a vacation, or just rest at their dorm. Within the next couple of weeks, all of the members would be moving to their own accommodations with the dorm contract ending and Jihoon would be moving into your apartment sooner rather than later. Throughout the last few weeks between tour stops and award shows, Jihoon and you had sat down multiple times and came up with a plan of how things would go.
First step would be going through all your items that were shipped from America with him and figuring out which items you wanted to keep, what needed to be tossed, and make a list of what would need to be bought. Second step was setting up the apartment to fully accommodate two people rather than one, which overall wouldn’t be too difficult. One thing already decided on was the sleeping situation, or well, it wasn’t a question of needing a proper bed rather than a mattress pad. Another thing was Jihoon learning how to cook more recipes so all the cooking wasn’t falling on you, however you would gladly be by his side to help if he needed.
Sitting on the couch, both you and Jihoon were reviewing the inventory list that was sent over from the moving company. Jihoon had taken it upon himself to grab your very large, king sized fluffy blanket you fell in love with and bundled the two of you up in it.
“ We can put my old bed in the second room as a guest bed after getting a new mattress?”
Jihoon snickered. “ Why are you making it sound like a question? And we also have the option of my old bed frame.”
“Will it be big enough if two people visit? Jamie and Kazu? Or my grandparents in the future? I know they are staying in a hotel this time but a guest room would be nice.”
“You said you wanted the second room as an office.”
“Well, it can be both. Office-guest room.” You huffed, leaning away from him, only for him to continue to lean into your side. “ Stop stealing my body heat.”
He only shook his head, eyes never leaving the screen. He pulled his arm from the blanket and motioned around in the air. “ Why not say fuck it and get a new bed and dresser and be done with it?”
“Well- I don’t want the stuff going to waste. I’m already bringing in my two bookshelves and my big desk so I’m thinking of spending as little money as possible if we have so much. Plus, we are already bringing your wardrobe from the dorm into the bedroom since it’s more spacious than mine.”
Jihoon dug around between the two of you to find his phone but came up with yours, holding it to your face to unlock it. You snickered at that and watched him pull up the note you’ve been compiling of what you’d be bringing each and what you were still debating on. “ So your bed frame is an American queen size, it would fit in the bedroom and the wardrobe would be against the wall so that isn’t an issue. Your desk is pretty big so we can slide it in a corner of the second room by the window and my double bed can fit in there without a problem on the other wall. Since there is no dresser in there, we can get a smaller wardrobe and that room would be complete.”
“What about your desk?”
He blinked, pursing his lips in thought. “ The second bedroom here is big enough to fit everything, it’s way bigger than my room in general. I can place my desk beside yours. Two desks, a wardrobe and the double bed will work. I don’t have a lot outside of my room since I shared the dorm with Jeonghanie-hyung, Seungkwanie, and Soonyoungie.”
“Then we can use my TV stand and purchase a new TV, something decent sized maybe?” He nodded, typing it down under the things to buy category. “ I have a small table for the kitchen, four chairs with it. We need a coffee table since I gave mine to Jamie.” Another item added to the list. “ Then we can figure out what else we need as time goes on?”
“ Yeah, I think we will be okay. Tomorrow we can both call the movers and hopefully have things set for the end of the week.”
Shutting your laptop, you shimmied down further into the blanket and sighed. “Then next week my grandparents come into town.”
“Nothing to worry about, nothing will ever be as bad as my mom.”
“ God- Don’t remind me.” You tossed your head back against the couch cushion. “ Has she ever reached out?”
“Once, right before New years. Wasn’t an apology though. My dad has been wanting to come into town but he would only be able to stay the day because of the bond withdrawal.”
Your face contorted into a cringe. “ That’s dumb. Why can’t she just suck up her BS and apologies?”
“I’ve asked myself that a few times since you met her.”
Organized chaos was a good word for what was happening. Much like you hoped, both moving companies for your things from storage and Jihoon’s stuff from the dorm were free on the same day (and you didn’t know why one company could just do both, it was stupid). And much to your delight, you’d get movers for your items in the morning and the other company would show up later in the day. However, what you didn’t expect was half of Seventeen showing up, saying they could help when in reality they were just getting in the way.
“ Can you guys go sit in the kitchen or something, move!” You complained, pushing Seungcheol into the kitchen, followed by Vernon, Seungkwan, Mingyu, and Seokmin. “ Let them do their jobs and you can help later!”
“ So rude, Ruby-ah~” Seungcheol hummed, hopping on the counter near your sink which had you rolling your eyes.
“ You all show up after we said not to and are getting in the way.” Sticking your tongue out at him, you turned quickly and profusely apologized to the first set of movers, watching the team bring pieces of your bed frame in.
The mattress pad was currently rolled up on the couch for the time being, something you’d be using until the new mattress came in within the next few days, then stored in the closet just in case. Jihoon was down the hall packing some of his personal things with the (un)helpful help of Soonyoung from what his last text message said, leaving you to deal with the movers and those idiots currently in your kitchen.
Everything was running smoothly, the movers were absolutely fantastic at placing each furniture piece exactly where you wanted them, even giving suggestions on how everything would fit with the other items you’d be bringing it. From what your landlord said when you asked about good moving etiquette, he said that on top of paying for their services, you could ‘tip’ them with money for food after completing their service. You took cash out from your account – enough for each worker to get a nice meal – and gave them a deep bow, thanking them for their service once they were on the way out.
“ So what are we having for lunch?” Mingyu asked once the door to your apartment was closed, already rummaging through your refrigerator for something to eat or cook.
“Oh nah, get your grubby little hands out of my fridge.” You hurried into the kitchen, nearly running smack into the kitchen table that was brought in. “ Order yourself food, heathens.”
“ But we came to help!”
“And you haven’t done shit! I should have kicked you all out!” You stomped, crossing your arms over your chest.
“ I invited everyone over for dinner later.” Seungcheol just had to speak up, smirking wide.
“I’m gonna commit.” You grabbed a dish rag and threw it at him. “ Starve for all I care.”
Electricity buzzed down your spine and you spun on your toes, hustling to the door, opening it before Jihoon could punch your code in. “ Kick them out.”
“Kick- I told them not to show up.”
Giving him a pout, you moved aside to let him and Soonyoung through the door, both carrying a few bags and dragging suitcases behind them. “ Guys- Can’t you leave Ruby-ah and I alone for a day?”
“No,” Mingyu huffed, closing the fridge. “ You both are my friends.”
“Seungcheol-ah invited everyone over for take out.”
“Huh?!” Jihoon dropped all the items he carried into the living room around your boxes the movers brought, grumbling in disbelief. “ We aren't paying for food.”
“Never said you were!” Seungcheol defended and you facepalmed.
“I’m dealing with children. I will never know any peace. I’m going to commit.” You muttered to yourself but Vernon and Mingyu laughed to themselves.
“ Rock, paper, scissors for who pays!” Seungkwan called out and gathered around Seungcheol. Soonyoung, Seokmin, and Mingyu followed in with Vernon being pulled alongside the five of them.
Two rounds later, Seokmin was crumbling to the floor, whining out loudly that he lost. Jihoon and you had started to separate out his things for which bags would go into which room while they messed around, knowing not to involve yourselves in their antics. Majority of the bags were stuffed with clothes since the wardrobe would be taken apart to fit through the doorway. Anything else he was bringing could be brought before Seungkwan, Jeonghan, and Soonyoung moved out since they were only down the hall.
It wasn’t long before the second movers arrived and Seungkwan and Soonyoung hurried down the hall with Jihoon to make sure everything was out of the living room so as to not interfere with the movers’ job. Jeonghan and Joshua had strolled in just as they were leaving, the former over exaggerating a compliment of the newly added kitchen table as he took a seat.
“Stay in the kitchen!” You called out, pushing some boxes towards the shelves on either side of the TV stand, knowing you’d have to sort through each box and place things up while leaving room for anything Jihoon wished to add.
Thankfully, the guys did stay in the kitchen, however Vernon and Seokmin did raid your snack cabinet, passing different chips and treats around to each. You greeted the movers when Jihoon returned with the first item, his desk and chair, with him holding the blankets and pillows to his bed in both arms. With the destination only being down the hall, it didn’t take long for the apartment to be bustling with workers rebuilding the wardrobe and bed frame in each room. Jihoon had left for the dorm to collect anymore of his personal belongings, leaving you to supervise and organize.
Everything around you was falling into the proper place. There was a hint of excitement bubbling within for the newest chapter of your life you were entering. Typical things wouldn’t change much, however you’d be back to living with someone after living alone since leaving college, but this person, Jihoon , was your soulmate, your partner. While there was only months between bumping into one another and settling the bond, it already felt like a lifetime.
“ Ruby-ah~” Mingyu motioned you over from where you sat on the living room floor, peeking inside boxes to see what was where.
Reluctantly you stood and shuffled over, frowning at your snacks being downed by the members. “ Hm?”
Mingyu tugged you close to his side, rubbing your upper arm. “Seokminie is going to get fried chicken for dinner.”
With a tiny gasp, you pushed Mingyu away and shuffled towards Seokmin who sat on the counter on the other side of the sink from Seungcheol. He was popping some of the chocolate pieces into his mouth that you had in the front of your cabinet to get as a treat once in a while. You hugged him tightly, catching him by surprise, but he was happily able to hug you back, swaying you to and fro.
“ You’re the best!”
A laugh bubbled out of his chest and he continued to sway. “ We’ll get beer too! Make it a housewarming party!”
“Most of us will have to eat on the floor.” Jeonghan snickered and you shot a glare over your shoulder at him.
“ Shut up!”
Both you and him stuck your tongue out at each other before Seokmin released you from his hold and you went back to your place in the living room. Joshua came to sit beside you, helping you go through the boxes one by one. You pulled out a medium sized picture frame wrapped up in bubble wrap, unpacking it to find it as one of your favorites. It was you as a child sitting in your mother’s lap with Mimi and Papa on either side, all dressed in silly little matching sweaters. You were only two years old in the picture but it was the only picture you had with the four of you before your parents passed. Staring at it for a moment, you let your fingers trace over your mothers features and the smiles that were spread on each of your faces.
Joshua craned his neck to peek at the picture and smiled softly. “You were so little.”
“Uh- Yeah. I was about two. It was a Christmas picture. It’s the last picture I have of my mom.” You stood and placed the picture on a middle shelf on the bookshelf to the left TV stand. “There should be two more frames in there, one from my highschool graduation and one from my master’s graduation.”
Both you and Joshua easily found the other two pictures. You unwrapped and held them close to your chest as you looked over them, reminiscing on the days from each picture.
At your highschool graduation, Papa had bought two big bouquets of flowers, one of pink tulips (conveying congratulations) and the other white roses (conveying new beginnings). He was so proud of you and it was the first time you had seen him cry of joy. He asked one of your classmate’s parents to take a picture of the three of you. Mimi was smiling so wide and Papa was holding you close to his side, while you stood in the middle, tears going down your cheeks but a smile spread on your face with both bouquets in hand.
For your graduation from the Masters program, you didn’t get the chance to walk the stage due to the pandemic, however your grandmother insisted you at least get pictures done as a commemoration. You got dressed up in a cap and gown and took pictures in a sunflower field upstate when you went to visit them. Papa had done research once more and got a mixed bouquet of Baby’s Breath, another flower that could mean new beginnings, and pink Hydrangeas, that mean heartfelt emotions (because he loved you greatly). It was the last picture of the day and you held the bouquet before you with your degree frame in hand, again standing between them with wide smiles.
You placed both pictures on either side of your family portrait, even getting your degree out and placing it on the very top shelf (with the help of Joshua). It was a start, but you’d make this apartment a proper home like your old studio back in the states. A home to grow in and a home to cherish every loving moment that came.
With Joshua’s help, you were able to organize and sort the items in the box. It was an amalgamation of books, knick knacks, and trinkets you’ve collected over the years. You were quick to get them on the shelf, happy that there would be one less box littering the living room.
He laughed when he opened the second box mysteriously labeled Prized Possessions with a heart at the end. Leaning over to see the inside, you laughed as well, reaching in and pulling out the box for your Seventeen Lightstick and one of the bubble wrapped albums.
“I’m going to kill Jamie and Kazu.”
“Nah, this is great.” Joshua waved you off, only to laugh more as he started to take the albums out of the box. “You have so many!”
“Listen! I started collecting during Covid, I didn’t have a lot to do!”
“You have almost two versions of each of the newest albums!”
“This was before I knew Jihoon was my soulmate, stop bullying me!”
“Guys-” Joshua was standing, grabbing a handful of the albums and scurrying away from your reach before you could stop him. “ Look look! Ruby-ah has so many albums!”
“Hong Jisoo! Stop!” You grabbed onto the back of his shirt but the albums were already in Jeonghan’s hands.
“ Wahh~!” Jeonghan grinned wide. “ Where are your photo cards, who did you pull??”
“I’m not telling you-”
“I’ll check the box for an organizer-” Joshua cut you off, hurrying back.
“Stop exposing me!”
The front door clicked open and Jihoon returned back with Seungkwan and Soonyoung, carrying miscellaneous belongings that were dropped in the living room.
“ Are those our albums?” Seungkwan asked and you leaned over one of the kitchen chairs and whined out.
“ I found it!” Joshua called out which made you sink to the floor and lay there in a pile of your own embarrassment.
“ It can’t be that bad.” Jeonghan started, looking down at you in pity. “ Unless you have a secret…”
“I’m already being exposed. I will not win this battle. I will only be shamed.”
Joshua opened it as he walked over but stopped, flipping through page after page of the photocards and stared down at you with a smirk. “He isn’t going to like this~” He said in a sing-song tune.
“ Why? Why??” Mingyu ran over to Joshua and you swore there was an invisible tail wagging behind him. “ Oh noooo!”
“Jihoonie, I’d like to formally apologize for the person I once was.” You didn’t even bother to look away from the ceiling, wishing to become one with the floor.
“ What’s the big deal-” Seungcheol moved to peer over Joshua’s shoulder and the most shit eating grin spread on his features. “ Wow, Ruby-ah, that’s a lot of photocards of me.”
“ I’m sorry Jihoonie, but I’d like to respectfully pass away.”
“ At this point I’m not even surprised.” Jihoon said, curious enough to join the huddle and see for himself the extent of your collection.
Page after page, they flipped through the organizer before Mingyu let out a squeak in excitement and grabbed Jihoon. “ Hyung! There are a lot of you!”
“Wah.” Jihoon let out the small sound of surprise, watching the pages flip.
“ I am no longer a being of this planet, I am just one with the floor.”
“Well, now we know who Ruby-ah’s wrecker is.” Joshua snickers before handing the binder to Jeonghan who was giving grabby hands.
Jihoon crouched down to your pity party on the floor. “ Get off the floor, Ruby-ah.”
“ I don’t know who Ruby-ah is, I am the floor.”
Jihoon reached out and grabbed both of your wrists, standing up, planting his feet on either side of your legs, and pulling you until you were sitting up. With a pout, you stared at him with the saddest eyes you could muster, letting your hands lay limp in his hold. He brushed some hair back from your face then pulled you up to stand relatively easy.
“ I’m going to order the food.” Seokmin called out, pulling his phone from his pocket.
You stumbled back to the living room after taking your photocard binder and albums from Jeonghan and Seungkwan (both whining as if you took a toy away from them), muttering about how they were mean to you. The movers finished up the installation of the furniture and Jihoon sent them off, but you didn’t really pay attention as you organized your albums in release order and placed them on the lower shelf of the left bookcase.
“ Yah, stop sulking on the floor.” Mingyu stood behind you and leaned over into your space, looking over your face. “ A few of the guys are going to their dorms to get beer from their fridge and Shua-hyung is going to the store to get more.”
With a pout, you spun around and took the hand he offered when he stood straight, standing up and stretching out your legs and arms. The members that were already in your home were helpful enough in getting dishware and cups, but Soonyoung jogged down the hall to get more cups, chopsticks, and two folding lap tables they had back in their dorm.
Not an hour later, your kitchen counters were packed, the table was toppling with containers, and many bodies were sitting on the living room floor, using some of the boxes, laptables, and a suitcase or two as makeshift tables. Beers were being downed, chicken was being eaten, and you were laughing at something Chan was saying about one of the members of Ateez, Wooyoung if you remembered, who he became fast friends with. Vernon and Joshua sat on either side of you on the floor, takeout containers on your hardshell suitcase, separating Chan, Minghao, and Mingyu from you.
Speaking of Mingyu, there has been a joke from a movie swimming through your head. It’s been on your mind for a while. Back during tour when Mingyu’s stage office consisted of the sheer, sparkly shirt, you thought of it and had a laughing fit that you couldn’t explain without dying . You had asked Joshua and Vernon if they had seen the movie and much to your delight they had and you promised to give them a reference and placed a bet that Mingyu would fall gloriously into your trap. Now seemed like the perfect time.
“ Mingyu-ah.” You downed the rest of your nearly empty can of beer, pointing to him. “ Why are your boobs so big?”
You heard Joshua choke on his piece of chicken beside you. Mingyu quickly covered his chest with his arms crossed over one another, curling in on himself. Vernon leaned his head back and to the side, curling his lips in to bite them so as to not burst out laughing. Chan was already toppled over on the floor which caught the attention of a few other guys. Minghao looked amused but only sipped his beer with a smile he was trying to hide.
“ They aren’t boobs! They are pecks!” Mingyu looked blown away, mouth open slightly in astonishment. “ I worked hard on them!”
“Do you have to wear a bra?”
“Bra- I don’t need a bra!”
“ Lotte World Mall has a Victoria Secret, maybe they have your size there, but you won’t get any cute colors since you are a bigger size.”
“Spare me-” Vernon had joined Chan on the floor, heaving in breaths that only came back out in boisterous laughter.
Minghao and Joshua were both trying to keep in their laughter but giggles from Minghao seeped out and Joshua was leaning on your side, painfully trying to hold everything in by the expression on his face. Mingyu’s expression shifted to something even more blown away. He was at a loss for words and his cheeks were bright red, more than from drinking at this point.
“I’m just saying,” Grabbing a piece of chicken, you giggled to yourself. “ We can get you fitted, look all cute.”
“He looks so-” Joshua started but his words trailed off in pained laughter and he too was on the floor. “I can’t breathe-”
“ I think Ruby-ah needs to stop drinking-” Chan pointed and laughed at Mingyu, his child-like laugh filling the entire apartment.
“Huh?! No! I barely had two cans!” You bit into the piece of chicken in your hand, snickering to yourself. “ I am hilarious!”
Jihoon had forced everyone to clean up and kicked them out for the night once midnight passed. Mingyu, despite the playful bullying you subjected him to, helped with dishes and resorted the living room to a less cluttered mess. With a tight squeeze of a hug, Mingyu was off, leaving the two of you to figure out the rest.
You and Jihoon decided you were both too lazy to put sheets on his bed in the spare room so you’d sleep on the mattress pad in the living room. Soon the floor was littered with blankets and pillows, a small little nest for you both to bed down in until the laziness wore off or the new mattress came in for the bedroom.
Curling up beside one another, Jihoon held your waist, letting his tired eyes flutter shut but open to meet yours. “ You look happy.”
The small, tired smile you had on your face spread and you nodded, pulling the blankets up to your chin. “ I feel happy. This is a new chapter for both of us. Who knows what the future will hold for us?”
He moved closer, resting his forehead against yours, fully closing his eyes. “ I don’t know, but I’m lucky to have you by my side on this journey.”

Hani’s Relationship with Jin
Fox of BTS | BTS 8th Member
Marked by a beautiful blend of brotherly love, mentorship, and heartfelt support. As the “worldwide handsome” member known for his warmth and charm, Jin quickly became a significant figure in Hani’s life, guiding her through the complexities of being a rising idol while providing a strong sense of familial comfort.
A Brotherly Bond
From the moment Hani joined BTS, Jin took on a protective and nurturing role. Being the eldest member, he naturally felt a sense of responsibility toward her, often treating her like a younger sister. Their interactions were filled with warmth and care, and he made it a point to check in on her, ensuring she felt comfortable and welcomed in the group.
One evening, during a particularly grueling practice, Hani felt overwhelmed by the pressure to perform well. Jin noticed her distress and immediately stepped in, suggesting they take a break. He led her to the lounge area, where he prepared some snacks for her. “You can’t perform on an empty stomach, right? A well-fed artist is a happy artist!” he joked, managing to lift her spirits with his lighthearted banter. They spent that time chatting about their childhoods, and Jin shared funny anecdotes about his own experiences as a trainee, helping Hani feel less alone.
Mentorship and Guidance
Jin’s role in Hani’s life extended beyond mere friendship; he served as a mentor and guide. With his extensive experience in the industry, he often offered advice on navigating the pressures of fame, handling media scrutiny, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Whenever Hani faced challenges, she could count on Jin to provide thoughtful and wise insights.
For instance, during a particularly stressful period leading up to their comeback, Hani was anxious about meeting fans’ expectations. Jin sat down with her, gently encouraging her to focus on her own journey rather than comparing herself to others. “Remember, it’s about what makes you happy and fulfilled. Don’t lose sight of your passion,” he reassured her, instilling a sense of confidence that helped her push through.
Shared Interests
Their bond was also reinforced through shared interests, particularly in food and cooking. Both Jin and Hani had a passion for culinary arts, and they often bonded over their love for trying new recipes. Jin, known for his love of cooking, would frequently invite Hani to join him in the kitchen, turning cooking sessions into fun bonding experiences. They would experiment with different dishes, and Jin would enthusiastically teach her new techniques.
During one memorable cooking night, they decided to make traditional Korean dishes together. Hani was amazed by Jin’s skills and how effortlessly he navigated the kitchen. As they chopped vegetables and marinated meat, they laughed and exchanged stories, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. Jin even challenged Hani to a cook-off, and they playfully competed, with the other BTS members serving as judges. Their friendly rivalry only strengthened their bond, and it was moments like these that made their friendship truly special.
Emotional Support
In times of need, Jin was always there to offer emotional support. He had a keen sense of when Hani was feeling down or stressed and would go out of his way to cheer her up. Whether it was a simple text message checking in on her or an encouraging word before a performance, Jin’s gestures showed how much he cared.
During one tough moment when Hani was grappling with her insecurities after a tough rehearsal, Jin took her out for a late-night drive to clear her mind. As they drove through the quiet streets, he shared stories of his own struggles, letting her know that it was okay to have ups and downs. “We all have our moments. What matters is that we keep moving forward together,” he said, and Hani felt a sense of relief knowing she wasn’t alone.
Humor and Playfulness
Their relationship was also filled with humor and playful teasing. Jin loved to poke fun at Hani in a lighthearted way, often bringing a smile to her face during stressful times. He would mimic her dance moves, exaggerating them for comedic effect, and they would both burst into laughter, lightening the mood. Jin’s playful nature provided Hani with a sense of comfort and joy, reminding her to take things less seriously.
During a variety show appearance, the two were challenged to a series of funny games, and their chemistry shone through. They played off each other’s energy, making witty remarks and engaging in playful banter. Fans loved watching their interactions, often calling them the “funny duo” because of how effortlessly they made each other laugh.

Being the person I am, I went ahead last night and got another batch of redneck sake going in the jar that the first batch just came out of.
This time, I'm trying a two-step approach, starting with a thick rice porridge made from non-glutinous rice like Makgeolli Guy tried here. Only instead of Japanese/Korean type rice (which we do actually have), I decided to try some of the cheap and readily available local pudding rice which is also medium grain and basically risotto rice. I have used the same stuff sold in the UK for sushi before too. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So far:
A multistage method, adding more rice in different steps, is supposed to give a more complex flavor. So is using a mix of types of rice. So, we'll see.
Planning to add the other 500g from that bag of white glutenous rice (which ferments particularly well) in a few days. Just the same as before, pressure "rice" cooker steamed and put in with more of the koji rice rehydrated in a little more water.
Also being the person I am, I couldn't resist playing around with a couple more variables at the same time when planning this second batch. Taking a cue from this guy (with English subtitles available), I decided to try adding a little cultured dairy as additional lactofermentation starter. Unlike nuruk or jiuqu, koji doesn't have any in there naturally. That will hopefully help give it some pleasant tartness, instead of just tasting weird.
I also followed his lead here and used a little more water, because the last did turn out just so strong with the alcohol. Sort of split the difference, and decided to try a slightly higher proportion of water but not as much as Homebrew Sake Guy seems to be using for his recipes.

Hello! If it’s not too much to ask, could you do a Hobbit/LotR matchup for me???
My name’s Liv, I’m non-binary (they/them, but occasionally she/her or he/him depending on the vibe). I’ve got curly brown hair in an anime boy type hairstyle, hazel eyes, and glasses. I usually end up dressing business casual for work, but I also like flannel shirts and band shirts paired with leggings or jeans. I LOVE reading and getting books (and I work at a library so it absolutely does not help my obsession lol), and I love Studio Ghibli movies and Old Hollywood horror films! I am also obsessed with history and am actually going to grad school for it! I’m typically a bit quiet and tend to really focus in on something, but when I’m comfortable with a person I love to tell them about stuff I really enjoy. I love listening to music, and at present it’s been mainly kpop and rock, and also Ghibli soundtracks. I do have really bad anxiety and depression, and it’s a bit hard to get me out of my head when I’m in a thought spiral. But people have called me sensible in the past when it comes to providing advice about situations other people are experiencing, even though I clam up a lot about my own problems and worry a lot about bothering people and being a burden. I absolutely adore cats and would love to get one someday! I also like collecting crystals and trying out new things to cook (like lately I’ve been trying out Korean and Japanese recipes).
I hope that’s enough to work with! And if not, or if I missed the window, that’s totally cool! Hope you have a good day!
You did not miss the window dear Liv, in fact I was quite excited to get this request because the matchup was so perfect in my mind 🥰 your match is…
Frodo!
Our dear hobbit first lays eyes upon you in the bookshop, of course. You're there poring over a history tome he's never seen touched, straightening your spectacles and flipping the page to the next war account. You peer up, glasses sliding a bit down your nose as your hazel eyes meet Frodo's and you give a small smile. He is so used to encouraging others to take the first step- maybe it's his turn. Approaching you, he asks you what your interest is in that particular history and ends up spending the rest of his time in the shop there with you.
From that he learns you weren’t even there for war histories, merely getting distracted on your quest for a book on identifying crystals from your collection. Helping you find it, Frodo asks if you frequent this town, hoping so for it is right outside the Shire and Bilbo tends to run the odd errand there. Sure enough, that is you home no less, and with a smile the hobbit suggests you might show him around beyond the shop sometime. The shock on your face is quite adorable as you agree and offer to take him to your favorite spot.
Said favorite spot being a nook at the end of the river hidden away behind a collection of wide green trees. “I come here to read,” you tell the hobbit, “if you ever want to join, you can. Just keep it a secret, alright?” You wink and Frodo thinks he might spontaneously combust. Join he does, though, bringing stacks of books from Bag End he thinks you might enjoy. He starts trading you old books for your library job for the stones you find or even goodies you’ve baked up. All of the Shire are positively foaming to meet this infamous Liv and get their hands on some of their exotic treats, but Frodo never gives up your little secrets…
It is behind those very trees where you share your first kiss, Frodo surprising you with a different offering: a rose quartz piece Gandalf had given him some years back. Arching a shy brow, you ask him if he has ever heard the significance of this stone, and flushing, he nods. As if tugged in by a string you two are moving in sync, lips meeting behind the cover of waving branches. Frodo’s hand snakes ever-so-shyly around your waist and you can hardly help smiling into the kiss. Heads may shake as he walks hand in hand with you down Shire lanes, but he’s a Baggins- what else do they expect? The smile of amusement and pride across his face has you shaking your own head, but fondly, lovingly.
After the destruction of the One Ring, Frodo is different. You understand. Both of you know intrinsically the feeling if a spiral, even the look of its onset, and what the other needs. Silence, space, a warm touch, weight, a distraction, an embrace. Whatever the answer, Frodo only cracks a smile in those moments when that sensible caring side of you he loves so much comes out. After all, it is amazing how giving you are especially during your own fights. When darkness is closing in, you are his reminder that there is light and good in the world, just like Sam. When depression takes you, he can only hope his approach is half as good, half as inspiring. Giving up is so tempting, but in the face of a loved one, both of you realize there is hope you cannot yet throw away. Even if it is something small as feeling each other’s lips upon your forehead again or the easy way your limbs tangle as you read together, life is worth fighting for. Frodo may have saved Middle-Earth, but you, Liv, saved him.

quinn!!! your recipe diagram is a thing of beauty. is there any chance at all you might post the ramen one?! i’m so curious!!!
ok but first Disclaimers: - this is a very first draft - the recipe is actually an interpretation on Korean instant noodles so it's not a traditional miso base - credit to kenji lopez-alt - the diagram only includes steps to make the ramen base - this is a very, very first draft - I LOVE this ramen recipe and even though you didn't ask for it I'm including a photo of the last time I made it below the break
#i'm so jazzed you liked the other diagram!#this one definitely has more steps and ingredients so the fun part is figuring out how to make the thing legible all the way through#and that actually flips the ingredient order on its head a bit; instead of chronological it becomes reverse chronological in groups#and then there's the whole how do ingredients get tracked when things are strained? or separated? or set aside? or divided?? with color???#did i mention it's a first draft?#the problem with half-baked ideas for things i never plan on showing other people is that they sort of freeze in a half-finished state#and then there's all sorts of waffling about whether it's good enough to show anyway#but i'm a sucker for curiosity#sideguitars#qs with quinn#thanks for the ask!

Korea Army Chef's Galbitang Recipe Revealed
Galbitang, or Korean beef short rib soup, is a dish where the depth of the broth and the tenderness of the ribs come together harmoniously. On the day it was chosen as the menu for the troops, I knew it would be a challenging task requiring patience and precision.
The first hurdle was preparing the ribs. Defrosting and soaking them to remove excess blood seemed straightforward, but the sheer volume for over 50 servings made it a marathon. I placed the ribs into large basins, repeatedly changing the water until it ran clear. Only then were the ribs ready to go into the massive military pots.
The next challenge was making the broth. The pot was filled with water, beef ribs, radish, green onions, garlic, and ginger, then set to boil for hours. Managing the heat was critical—too high, and the broth could become cloudy; too low, and the ribs wouldn’t cook properly. I stood by the pot, carefully skimming off the fat and impurities that rose to the surface to ensure the broth remained clean and flavorful. This repetitive task left my wrist aching but was essential for achieving the perfect broth.
When the ribs had softened to just the right tenderness, I seasoned the broth with salt and soy sauce. This was the most nerve-wracking moment. The balance of flavors had to be just right—neither too salty nor too bland. Finally, I added finely chopped green onions for a fresh finish and let the soup simmer a little longer.
As the galbitang was served in the dining hall, the troops' reactions made all the effort worthwhile. “This broth is incredible!” one soldier exclaimed. “The ribs are so tender,” another added. Their satisfaction was a reminder of why attention to detail matters.
Galbitang is more than just a hearty soup; it’s a dish that embodies dedication and precision. From soaking the ribs to carefully managing the heat, every step required patience and focus. By the end of the day, I realized that making galbitang isn’t just about cooking—it’s about creating a meal that reflects effort, care, and the art of perseverance.
