call me crazy but i think having all ur game assets look like 4k HD High Res OLED whatever actually makes your game look bad.

If everything looks amazing then functionally your brain has nothing to actually look at, thus lowering the overall quality of things. I'm not aaying things have to look bad, they just can't look as good as the thing you want people to focus on.

I toot the horn of AC6 quite often (sue me idc) but its a great example of striking that balance. The environmenta often do not look as good as your AC, and their environments are still incredible.

Steel Hunters on the other hand, and whom this post is mostly about, suffers from an imbalance. Bushes and rocks on the ground have the same glossy sheen as your mech, making it all kinda mush together.

Anyway thats my two cents
