now's surely not the time but i really truly do feel like in a lot of the circles discussing social progress, along the same line that we get people arguing about gender markers on official documents when the actual solution is to remove gender markers entirely because they serve no practical purpose, i feel like we have a lot of arguments surrounding sexism and expectations in relationships and marriage equality and equity and financial abuse and marriages of convenience that are almost completely inaccessible if you're any variant of asexual/aromantic/aspec or polyamorous. what if this isn't how any of that worked. is that so crazy?

If you’re stealth this pride, you’re still a valuable member of the community. I see you posting on bottom surgery reddits or making your own tumblrs about transition and helping out the trans folks in the midst of their transitions anonymously. I see you sticking up for trans folks and using their pronouns IRL when no one else will. I see you taking on the role of trans ally and queer ally. I see you living your best life and doing what you want to feel safe and secure and affirmed in your gender. You’re a valuable part of the community and I’m sorry it feels really lonely sometimes when you can’t tell folks your trans history without suddenly their whole view of you changing. It’s not fair. But I know you’re out there and always have been!

can we talk about "clocking" discourse because I feel like way too many people went from "I don't want transphobes to think I am my AGAB because it would cause me dysphoria and possibly put me in danger" to "I don't want anyone, not even other trans people, to think I'm trans" as if that's a natural progression

since in your hc dark spyro is a separate entity turned good eventually do you think he bares a sort of guilt for what he did to spyro and, in turn, the rest of the team? and if so did he and spyro ever properly talk it out? i feel they could share a sort of connection with both technically having been taken over by strykore

YES !!!! absolutely!!! I think that Spyro and Dark Spyro do talk things out, but the conversation itself comes from Spyro being the 'Problem' of the situation

Spyro eventually loses his mind and starts pushing people away to the extreme, to which Dark Spyro steps in to be like, HEY you dont want to be like me, and that leads to a deep conversation between them that unveils they aren't so different after all-

Dark Spyro was never 'evil', he was just a bigger and better liar than his better self, and convinced himself he was and is evil, when in reality hes just a nuisance. Spyro comes to realise he was becoming his "evil" self and realises, hes not evil, hes just all of Spyros hurt, fear and anger in physical form. Dark Spyro is only strong when hes angry, but weaker when he's guilty.

Which is most of the time.

I think he butts heads with everyone (except from his girlfriend, Flashwing), and they often make jabs at his 'Evil' past, or try to make him out as being a terrible guy (really he's just obnoxious and lazy). It keeps him guilty, and therefore, weak. He is their weakest hero. Because he's not a hero, or a villain. He's him.

Dark Spyro spends time with Spyro because he knows he can talk (or knock) sense into him to not become him again, without forceful magic.

Its complicated relationship they have that no one, not even them understand. It's like, brotherly love hate? They remind eachother of what could be and what is, its painful but their separate existences are important for the other halfs bettering

Now to add about the team, Dark Spyro actually couldn't care less for them! He feels closer to JV, since he kinda adopted him, but any closeness he had to Eruptor, Pop or Elf, was just regular Spyro talking, not him. He only feels guilty that his image amongst them is tarnished and nothing will seemingly change for them to trust him, but about them PERSONALLY? Does not care, he only really cares about Flashwing or JV, to him keeping 'too many' close emotional bonds is a challenge and draining, he would love to feel wanted or a part of something, but he just can't

As a transman, I am BOYCOTTING this coming PRIDE

a few days ago, I watched a screening of a soon-to-be-released Pride documentary - it didn't include a single transman speaker out of over 30 interviews. This was a nail in the coffin moment for me. I am tired of being erased in every queer space I go that's suppose to be "for me" or at least include people like me. Done. I'm fucking done. If the queer community isn't going to uplift trans men (especially 'male-perceived' trans people for that matter), then it's not safe for trans men to be a part of it.

And, no, I don't mean just Corporate Pride (the issue is in our communities as well [at least in NYC where I live- but I've noticed it in other places, too] I am not going to be attending any Pride events this year. If you are a transman who knows what I'm talking about and is tired as fuck, too, I urge you to do the same If you are an ally to the trans community or a woman-passing trans person [i'm including afabs here] (or if you're a butch tw that feels up to it), I encourage you to make signs for marches or events where signs are appropriate that say: "Where are the Trans Men?" "Trans Men Exist" or if you like to argue, the ever so unpopular: "Tran's Rights are Men's Rights, Too" or really any slogan you think might pressure the world and our communities to be there, support, and make visible trans men. I've come to the sad realization that I can no longer survive in queer spaces if I am constantly being erased. Please, allies and those with some spotlight, this Pride start asking events, talks, performances, rallies, shows, concerts, floats, panels, etc: "Where are the trans men?"
