Hockey Player AU! Kyle "Gaz" Garrick Headcanons
...
Superstar. Forward. Drafted first overall. Alt captain. Left wing.
Raised in the UK but was soon recognized for his potential. A US family took him in to play in the states where he would have better opportunities. Trained at all the top notch facilities though high school with the best of the best. Drafted right out of high school and went straight into the NHL on a truly wild contract.
Top line, but put him with anyone and he'll make something happen. 50+ goal scorer, plus sooo many assists. Always in the right place at the right time. Guy you don't want to see four on four / three on three, he's dangerous on open ice. Â
Wheel, snipe, celly. Crazy aim, bar down all day everyday. Moderately flashy but honestly he can't help it, he's got HANDS; can stick handle in a phone booth. Seriously the compilation videos look like they should be from chel not real life.Â
Still responsible defensively, he's not going to leave his guys hanging. Soap's a defenseman and they work super well together. Soap will put it on net from the blue line and Gaz will grab the rebound and put it in, he doesn't care how good the goalie's rebound control is.Â
Always has a fun celly ready for the crowd! Amazing sportsmanship (aside from the chirps). Clean player, no cheapshots here. He always apologizes for bad hits or accidents. Well known in the league for just being a great guy behind closed doors too.
Could be a contender for literally any award he's eligible for. MVP, points, sportsmanship, community activism, you name it.Â
The Only charismatic hockey player. Does lots of interviews, is active on personal social media, has his own brand of activewear. Started a program to make hockey more accessible to underserved youth in his city.
Kills at chel. He was the cover last season!
Thigh. That's it that's the tweet. Insane thigh muscles. Wears short shorts around pregame so the social media people can get some good photos. And we all go nuts over it on twitter.
Mic'd up status: absolutely has and does want to be mic'd up, always gassing up his teammates, throws devastating chirps with Soap. They have to beep most of Soap's though because they're too explicit.
Hockey hair status: Sure it looks nice short but where's the flow!!! Natural?? Locs??? Please consider. Facial hair during the playoffs... the beard isn't up to par but the mustache is fine.
Roster pic status: smiling, manages to look hot where everyone else on the team looks like shit
WAG status: His girlfriend is hot and basically queen of the WAGs. Always in their box during games with the other girls having a fun time. They look sooo good together it's not even funny. Hosts parties at their house for the team. Their couples halloween costumes are the best!!
She's also a community activist and dropped the puck at one of their home games. Gaz, of course, took the face off. And then got down on one knee to propose to her. Obviously she said yes and the video went viral instantly.
....
I do NOT consent for my works, part of my works, or my ideas to be used for ANY form of AI.
More hockey au: Ghost | Soap | Price
Note: "Chel" is an abbreviation of NHL referring to the video game. WAG stands for wife and girlfriend or the plural, used to refer to sports guy's significant others. Yes it is heteronormative.
The WAG part is absolutely welcome to be interpreted as self insert :D

For the Hell of it 3 - Definitely Just Friends
Character: Jason Todd x civilian! Fem!oc
Rating and Warnings: G, no warnings
Word Count: 1,219
Summary: She and Jason take her dog for a walk and talk about how they're definitely not going to get into a relationship, nu-uh.
Masterlist
-------
The third time was on purpose. So were the fourth, and fifth.Â
Jason had been messaging Andy for the last month, more than he had ever texted anyone outside of the vigilante scene since coming back from the dead.
Sometimes he met her at the college library when she had essays to write and he had case work that could be done in public and neither one wanted to be stuck at home. He made annoying orders at the cafe she worked at on weekends, and she made him terrible coffee in return. Conversation drifted from their shared tastes in books, to food, to travel, to whatever came into their heads.
It was all going well until a fear took root in Jason.Â
He had no business getting into a relationship. For so many reasons. Gotham was its usual unhinged and dangerous self, and the Red Hood played a vital part in its defense. It would be irresponsible to go dragging some innocent into this life. He couldnât. He was self aware enough to know vigilantism had made him a paranoid mess, and he wasnât going to make that anyone elseâs problem. And heâd seen how the others started taking only safe bets when they had someone to come home to. He wasnât going to start playing it safe now, not with so many people counting on him.Â
Not that he and Andy were dating. But it made him nervous when he found himself flirting, or laughing with her just a little too hard. Thinking about her in idle moments on patrol. Idle moments.. Not on patrol.Â
Andy was fun. She was beautiful and thoughtful and she didnât see a ghost when she looked at him.
He couldnât string her along. It wasnât fair.Â
Unless of course she didnât even want him, in which case he was making a damn fool of himself for nothing.Â
They were meeting up at the dog park at Too Fucking Early oâclock. She was more fond of mornings than him. Her dog Marlow needed a walk, and they were going to stroll down to the good taco truck for lunch. That wasnât too intimate. It was lunch, anyone could get lunch.
He got there first, wearing dark glasses and squinting resentfully at the bright winter sun that was cutting through the usual diffusing layer of smog. He casually surveyed the others walking around. Crime Alley looked better by day. He didnât even spot many hidden weapons. There were some young kids squealing on the grass, and a few people jogging in pairs. A fair few people in different uniforms smoked under shop awnings and there was a line for the coffee truck. Poison Ivy had done some light vandalism on the park a year ago but they had it in hand now and nobody had been eaten by the bushes in months. It was downright pleasant.Â
âMarlow!â Andyâs voice called.Â
Jason turned and was immediately confronted with soulful black eyes in a large grey snout staring intently at him. The wiry haired dog the snout was attached to came up to Jasonâs hip. His mouth split into a wide smile and he presented a hand for him to sniff. Marlow inspected his offering thoroughly. Then he presented his head for pats, bumping his face at Jason's hand.
âWhoâs a good boy, hm?â Jason crouched down to rub his sides. âReady for your walk? No, no licking my face, come on.â
âIf the face isnât for licking, why is it within licking range? Checkmate, human,â Andy said.Â
Jason smiled up at her. She was dressed in activewear, red and black tights hugging her shapely legs and hips before they were hidden beneath a thick grey hoodie. Her hair was up in a high bun. She grinned back at him, as blinding as the sunlight.Â
He swallowed and looked back at Marlow. He got his face licked. She laughed at him.Â
He made a face and stood up. âI had no idea he was so big. Irish wolfhound, huh?â
âYeah. I didnât know what he was when I found him as a puppy.â They started walking together along the dirt paths. âMy friend who was totally going to get into vet school any day now said he was an Irish terrier.â
Jason snorted.Â
âHow are things with you?âÂ
âAlright. Workâs keeping me busy and Mrs Nikolaou on seventh street gave me a half sheet tray of Moussaka the other day,â he said. He had told her he was a contractor in private security, which in Gotham wasnât necessarily a criminal activity, it did not invite follow-up questions. It was easier than maintaining an elaborate string of lies, and unlike Bruce he couldnât get away with telling everyone he got hurt playing polo.Â
Andyâs eyebrows spiked. âA half-? What is it with little old ladies adopting you? Whereâs my moussaka, is what Iâd like to know.âÂ
âI guess youâre just not as cute as me.âÂ
âImpossible. Iâm fucking adorable.âÂ
He opened his mouth to agree, and then thought better of it. âMarlowâs about to eat duck poo.â
âMarlow!â
They reached the taco truck, which had a line in front of it to his disappointment. It never had a line at 2AM. It smelled amazing though, and they lined up eagerly. Marlow whined very convincingly but heâd already had his lunch.Â
They got their orders and sat on a low stone wall to eat.Â
Strands of Andyâs hair had come loose in the wind, and were at risk of getting stuck in her taco. She kept whipping her hair to try and flick it away, since both her hands were dripping salsa. Jason reached over to brush the hair from her face. She looked up at him and blushed. He tucked the hair behind her ear and grinned at her flustered look. She elbowed him in the stomach and stole one of his corn chips.Â
Then he got skittish and dedicated his attention back to his lunch. Marlow curled up at their feet, keeping a wary eye on passersby. Andy finished hers first and scrubbed at her hands with a napkin.Â
She cleared her throat. âHey.â
âWhat?â
A silence stretched between them. He glanced at her warily.Â
âI donât want to make things weird, but, uh. Iâve been meaning to say.â She stared at her hands in her lap. âIâm not looking for anything romantic at the moment. If that was what you were looking for. Itâs not that I donât like you, I just had a bad break up a while ago and I canât- Iâm not- um.â
Relief and crushing disappointment filled him. He chose to lean into the relief.
âIâm not looking for anything more either,â he said and bumped her shoulder.
She let out a breath of relief and looked up at him. âWe can be friends, right?â
âYeah.â He ran his hands through his hair and coughed a laugh. âI was actually trying to figure out how to ask you the same.â
âYeah? Bad break up too?â
âNa. Just⌠not in the right place for it.â
Her shoulders relaxed and he did too. The distance he had been trying to maintain between them fell away. It was safe to get close to her now, because he knew it wasnât going to lead to anything.

Wilmer Valderrama, the 44-year-old actor best known for roles such as Fez in the sitcom âThat â70s Showâ and Special Agent Nicholas Torres on the drama series âNCIS,â has immersed himself into the activewear business.
The actor, entrepreneur, activist and fitness enthusiast has introduced a new active lifestyle brand for women and men called E.P.U., which stands for E Pluribus Unum, which is Latin for âout of many, one.â
âI Iove the fashion industry and itâs something that I really have been paying attention to, and have been so fascinated by the people who create fashion,â Valderrama said in a telephone interview Friday.
The collection features unisex T-shirts, tanks, crew neck sweaters, sweatpants and sweatshirts, along with menâs and womenâs hoodies and joggers and womenâs crop T-shirts and tanks.
Sizes range from XS to 2XL, with prices going from $25 to $75. The garments are crafted from 100 percent French terry cotton. The socks, duffel, unisex T-shirt, unisex, tanks, and womenâs crop T-shirt are all made in the U.S., while the rest is made in Vietnam and India.
E.P.U. has forged a direct partnership with the USO (United Service Organizations) with a portion of sales benefiting their mission of strengthening the well-being of service members and their families. Valderrama, who is a global ambassador for USO, has been on more than 45 USO tours around the world and his time with the troops inspired him to give back to the men and women who serve to protect the country â and the people they leave at home.
Valderrama said heâs no stranger to the fashion industry. About 10 years ago he was involved in a casual brand for two years called Calavena, which sold in stores such as Saks, Kitson and Barneys. The brand no longer exists.
This time he decided to get into active sportswear for several reasons. First, he realized early on in his career that fitness was something that ânot only helped the mental strengthening of the ups and downs of the industry,â but allowed him to look ahead to what roles I wanted to play next. âFrom Fez and having to transform into a person who could play a cop, itâs part of the transforming process,â he said.
In that journey, he created the hashtag #MyHouraDay, where he would do something active and share it on social media. His followers around the globe started giving their own answers such as âGoing for a run,â or âGoing for a Swim.â
Further, Valderrama has been inspired by athletes such as cross trainer Mat Fraser and snowboarder and skateboarder Shaun White, who are friends of his. âWeâre always talking about mental strengthening, and when youâre out there trying to be number one, what is that mentality?â Valderrama said.
As a global ambassador to USO, Valderrama will bring friends along, talk to the troops and design and host big stage performances with comedians, musicians and DJs. âIâve been to almost every base around the world. Iâve been to Iraq, Afghanistan, [South] Korea, Germany, Lithuania, you name it, Iâve been at that base,â he said. He began realizing the commonality of the military and what he loves so much.
âPart of their every day is how much they prioritize fitness. Fitness was an extension of their daily routines,â he said. He said he made it part of what he does professionally. âMy workouts werenât negotiable, they werenât hobbies. [At] 4:30 in the morning, I get up and Iâm going to the gym, and then I go to work. Itâs part of my workflow. That mentality started creating this mental strengthening that I was not expecting. I always had the bug to go back to fashion. And all of a sudden, I was like, âWhat if?ââ
He believed that he could take everything he learned from traveling the world with the military, and the inspiration from his athlete friends to create a brand that infused that kind of community for mental strengthening. Inspired by retro fashion from the 1950s and 1960s and Double RL hoodies and sweatpants, he felt he could create a brand that looked cool and functioned well. They designed the looks to be worn to the gym for a boxing workout or cross-fit training, as well as great travel outfits and clothes that can slip off easily for the pool.
Since todayâs generation likes to discover brands on their own, he is selling E.P.U. through an online store, epuhq.com, as well as Instagram and Facebook.
One of his main objectives is to build a community. By donating part of the proceeds to USO, heâd like to be part of building USO Centers around the world and creating programs for veterans and their families. He pointed out that USO is a nonprofit and not government-supported, so it relies on donations.
âThis is very much a passion project of mine, and I want to be as bold as possible in supporting these programs. And then the big thing is we build mental strengthening facilities,â he said.
Valderrama, who owns his Los Angeles-based company 100 percent, said heâd eventually like to launch accessories, socks, gloves to work out in, shoes, water-resistant products, weighted-vests and his own equipment.
Asked how he finds the time to run this business, while pursuing an acting career, he said, âThereâs always time. If you have something in front of you thatâs a priority, the schedule somehow molds into a place that you also have time for it. I have literally daily calls on this. We have photo shoots.âŚWe have tons of community-building content around this,â he said.
âItâs a big undertaking, when they say cut, I start making calls,â Valderrama said. So far, heâs working with eight or nine full-time people in digital, social media and distribution.
Valderrama declined to divulge how much volume he anticipates heâll do in the first year. âWeâre hoping that we sell out very quickly and go right into the next phase. The internal testing that weâve done has been received incredibly. People love how simple it is,â he said. He anticipates the tracksuits will be a bestseller.
The collectionâs color palette is the official colors of the different branches of the military such as red and yellow for the U.S. Marines, green for the U.S. Army and blue for the U.S. Air Force.
Valderamma said he never got a chance to serve in any of these military branches since he got his first big break in TV when he was 18 years old.
He recalled that he became interested in USO years ago when he was walking through an airport and two members of the military came up to him and asked to speak to him. They said that after a long day of doing what they do, they trade âThat â70s Showâ DVDs like theyâre baseball cards. ââAnd we laugh. It really helps and thank you,ââ they told him. Valderrama immediately called his agent and said heâd like to show up at their bases. âIn two seconds, they sent me out on a USO tour,â he said.
For the collection, he worked with âa design guru who helped scramble what was in his head,â and his fiancĂŠe, Amanda Pacheco, who was their fit model and gave suggestions on the womenâs fit. To promote the brand, he plans community workouts to show whoâs supporting the brand and what the brand is physically doing in real time.
Valderrama was born in Miami but grew up in Venezuela until the age of 13 or 14, when his family moved back to the U.S. and settled in Los Angeles. His father is Venezuelan and his mother is Colombian.
Next week, he will start taping the 22nd season of âNCIS,â which averages 6.5 million to 7 million viewers live every Monday night on Paramount+ and has about 12 million to 13 million viewers overall every week, he said. Valderramaâs next project is a âZorroâ adaptation for Disney, which is in development and he stars and serves as executive producer.
The actor has also written his first book, a memoir entitled âAn American Story: Everyoneâs Invited,â (HarperCollins) which will be published Sept. 17. âThe memoir is a tribute to my family by bringing me to the U.S., and showing me the road and allowing me to walk it. I was able to take the American dream and make it something that belonged to my life,â he said. When he came to the U.S. at around 14 years old, he didnât know how to speak English. âAnd by the age of 18, Iâm booking âThat â70s Show.'â

Loungewear Meets Hip Hop Street Style: A Fashion Fusion
The Evolution of Comfort and Cool Fashion, like music, is a universal language, transcending boundaries and blending cultures. In a striking blend of comfort and urban cool, loungewear has seamlessly integrated into hip hop streetwear, creating a style that's both relaxed and edgy. This fusion reflects a broader cultural shift, where self-expression and comfort coalesce, reshaping our approach to everyday dressing. The Roots of Hip Hop Streetwear Hip hop streetwear, deeply rooted in the urban culture of the 1970s and 80s, started as a form of self-expression for youth in New York City. It was more than just clothing; it was a statement of identity, resilience, and belonging. Brands like Adidas, Puma, and later, Supreme and Off-White, became synonymous with this movement, offering pieces that were as much about attitude as they were about apparel. The Rise of Loungewear On the other side of the fashion spectrum, loungewear, traditionally associated with comfort and relaxation, began gaining prominence in the early 2000s. This shift was driven by a growing desire for versatile clothing that could transition from home to street without sacrificing style or comfort. Brands like Lululemon and Athleta led this trend, blurring the lines between casual wear and activewear. A Fashionable Intersection The intersection of loungewear and hip hop streetwear is where things get interesting. This fusion is characterized by oversized hoodies, joggers, and sneakers, combining the effortless cool of streetwear with the relaxed vibe of loungewear. The result is a style that's both fashion-forward and comfortable, perfect for the modern, on-the-go lifestyle. Key Elements of the Fusion 1. Oversized Hoodies: A staple of both styles, hoodies have evolved from gym wear to fashion statements, often adorned with bold logos or graphics. 2. Joggers: Replacing baggy jeans, joggers offer a sleeker silhouette while maintaining comfort. They're often paired with high-top sneakers or even heels for a more elevated look. 3. Sneakers: Once purely functional, sneakers are now a cornerstone of street style. Brands like Nike and Yeezy have transformed them into high-fashion items. 4. Accessories: Baseball caps, bucket hats, and oversized sunglasses add attitude and a personal touch to the look. Cultural Impact This fusion is more than just a fashion trend; it's a reflection of our evolving lifestyle. The blending of loungewear and hip hop streetwear symbolizes a breakdown of traditional fashion norms, where comfort meets cool, and practicality pairs with style. It's a nod to the diversity and fluidity of modern fashion, where boundaries are blurred, and individuality is celebrated. Conclusion The amalgamation of loungewear and hip hop streetwear is a testament to fashion's dynamic nature. It's a reminder that style is not static; it evolves with our lifestyles, cultural shifts, and artistic expressions. As we continue to embrace this fusion, we're not just choosing clothes; we're curating our identity, one outfit at a time. This fusion of loungewear and hip hop streetwear represents more than a trend; it's a lifestyle choice that mirrors our contemporary world's diverse, dynamic nature. It symbolizes comfort without compromise, where fashion meets functionality in the most stylish way possible.

Break In (2/3)
I kept petting him for another little bit, before abruptly stopping. I grabbed his arms, digging my hands between his cuffed arms and his body, up into his armpits. I lifted him up off the floor, putting his chest and torso fully onto the bed before grabbing his knees and swinging them around so that his entire body was laid on the bed. I spread him out, his legs fully extended on the bed, his chest laid down, his gagged face turned to the side so it was not pressed straight down into the covers.
"Now, while I pick up some things from your room, I want you to just lay here and be a beautiful statue for me." I explained. He mmphed in annoyance and slightly growled, glaring at me. "I want you to keep your legs flexed, your feet always pointing straight towards me, at least 3 inches off the bed. You understand?" I asked, grabbing the back of his head. He glared at me, biting his gag as he thought for a moment. I continued squeezing the back of his head sliding my hand down to his neck and pinching the pressure points just under his skull. He finally nodded, mumbling something but seeming to acquiesce. I relaxed my hand, and he shook his head trying to get the pain in his neck to subside.
He lifted his feet off the bed, spinning himself with great effort so that his cuffed ankles pointed toward me. I grabbed his feet, curling his toes and flattening the tops of his feet to be perfectly in line with his shins. "Like this, always." I said, patting his feet and releasing them, stepping back. He grunted as he lay there, his chest twisted to the left to watch me.
I started moving around, walking over to his desk and grabbing his headphones and dumping them into my backpack. I rifled through his desk, grabbing some various odds and ends that looked shiny and maybe easily flipped. He managed to keep his feet pointed, lifted off the bed, his toes curled and feet beautifully displayed for me as I grabbed his emptying the cash and cards from there into my bag as well. I glanced at his ID, thinking for a moment then threw it in my bag as well.
Every time I moved, every item I grabbed, I made sure to glance back and get a full vision of my bound statue; his legs flexed, his feet prominently displayed, the chains on his wrists and ankles jingling slightly as he tried to move about. I walked over to his dresser, rifling through the drawers as I did. I paused for a moment, finding a partially see-through mask sitting on top of folded pairs of his boxers and silken running shorts.
"Mmm. What do we have here?" I asked, rhetorically, grabbing the mask and letting it dangle from my hands as I walked toward him. His eyes got big as he saw me do this, mmmphing softly and shaking his body a bit. I climbed onto the bed next to him, bringing the mask up to his face. "Looks like someone has some secrets." I taunted, as I placed the mask over his eyes, pulling the bands behind his head. He shook his head as I let go, biting the gag and growling at me. I stepped back, admiring his body as he shook and tried to grind his face against the covers.
"Stop that, now." I said, grabbing his feet, curling his toes and over-flexing his ankle as I pushed his feet toward the ceiling. He yelped in pain and turned to face me, his struggles evaporating. "I am deciding your wardrobe, and you will not change anything I have given you." I scolded. He dropped his head in resignation as I released his feet and stepped back. I returned to his dresser, flipping through his underwear and activewear, grabbing some samples that I threw into my bag as well. I turned around to find him relaxing his feet and legs resting on the bed.
I walked back over, grabbing his ankles and sliding him so that his knees and everything below hung off the bed. "Keep your feet pointed and elevated, focused on me." I ordered. He grunted and mmphed, but complied, flexing his feet and lifting his legs again, now with more difficulty.
I finished ransacking his room, taking as I pleased. I had a collection of some things that were somewhat valuable and he could easily report stolen, and then more unmentionables that he would probably not report. Who expects a thief to take one sock of a pair? A pair of boxers? No, that stuff would all be our little secret.
I walked back to the bed, dropping my backpack next to it as I sat down, grabbing his head and gently stroking it. "Well, it seems like my time with you has come to an end. I need to run before anyone can find me. But, I am going to leave whoever finds you a pleasant little surprise." I said. He grunted in confusion and fear as I gently played my hands through his hair and over his back. Such a weird set of feelings he had, being shown physical affection and tender kindness, while the words I spoke were so terrifying. He grunted and chewed on his gag, struggling to reconcile his conflicted feelings.
I finished petting the bound body before me, and moved around the bed, rotating him so that his head faced straight towards the door into the room. I reached down, grabbing his legs by the ankles and wrenched them up behind his back, holding them close to his cuffed wrists and just above his boxer-clad butt. He started struggling and pushing against me, so I quickly grabbed a third pair of cuffs and locked his leg irons to the cuffs on wrists, pinning him into a loose hogtie.
I gently ran my fingers across his soles, making him squirm from the sensations as I held his feet in place. "You are going to stay like this, your soles pointed straight to the door, your toes pointing to the ceiling until someone finds you." I said. "And further, you are going to stay like this while everyone waltzes in and out of your room, until some nice officer finally shows up with keys to your cuffs." I continued.
He grunted and mumbled in his gag, before finally nodding and agreeing. I gently smacked his feet as I jumped off the bed, grabbing my bag and walking out the door, closing it behind me. I slipped back out the window, carefully replaced the screen, and slipped away into the night.

You can find influencer inspiration from all over the globe by scrolling through your Instagram or Pinterest feeds. You might be surprised to see that most of these influencers wear leggings year round. You can make leggings work for any season with just a few styling tricks. These are some styling tips and occasions for wearing leggings during winter.
1) Your leggings can be styled for work out:
High-rise and Tummy tucking too!!
High-rise compression leggings for women are essentials in your activewear collection. The high-waisted compression waistband is flat on the stomach, providing a comfortable fit. The compression technology gives the material structure and support, preventing it from falling down. The moisture-wicking technology keeps sweat from getting into your leggings. This will keep you dry while working out. The leggings are flexible and allow you to move freely while keeping you comfortable while you exercise. This is the ideal piece of activewear that you can add to your wardrobe.
2) You can wear your leggings on the move:
Your leggings can be worn casually with a classic long-sleeve teshirt or sweatshirt and sneakers. This outfit is perfect for those who are always on the move. This outfit is perfect for moms who have a hectic morning. Your leggings can be paired with a womenâs thermal shirt or winter coat . This is a great way of styling your leggings on a cold winter day. This outfit will keep your feet dry and warm in the snow. You can also style your leggings with a womenâs cashmere sweater, and leather booties. This outfit is perfect for a casual date night or girls' night out.
3) A pair of fleece-lined leggings is also possible:
Fleeced lined from waist down to your ankles!!!
However, leggings can be uncomfortable in winter. A pair of fleece-lined leggings is a good option for winter leggings. Traditional leggings are made from a thinner spandex fabric. This isn't always the best for winter because they donât trap heat. A pair of fleece leggings are a must because they have a soft fleece lining. These pants can be paired with a sweater or a warm coat. The whole ensemble would keep you warm if you spend a lot of time outdoors. These are great for taking your dog out in cold weather, shoveling your driveway after a snowfall, and walking your dog. There are many options! You will be warm and cozy in winter with fleece lined leggings. Your fleece lined leggings can be worn under a pair womenâs snow pants. These pants are great for outdoor sleigh riding with the kids!
Bottom line: Are they good or not?
Leggings can be worn in winter. Leggings are great for any season.
They are timeless staples that will never go out of style, whether you choose fleece lined or classic leggings. You can find endless outfit options and new ways to wear them every day. You only need a bit of creativity and the right pair temperature-control leggings to complete your winter style. The possibilities are endless with leggings.Â

The U.S. Apparel Market: Trends, Growth, and Key Insights
The U.S. apparel market is one of the largest and most dynamic sectors in the global fashion industry. Valued at over $368 billion in 2022, this market continues to grow, driven by evolving consumer preferences, technological advancements, and an increasing focus on sustainability. This article delves into the key factors shaping the U.S. apparel market, from changing fashion trends to the rise of e-commerce.
1. Market Overview
The U.S. apparel industry is characterized by a diverse range of products, from everyday wear and activewear to luxury brands. Major players in the market include multinational retailers like Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour, as well as fast fashion giants such as H&M and Zara. In recent years, there has been a shift towards more casual, comfortable clothing as remote work and hybrid work models became the norm during and after the pandemic.
2. E-Commerce: The Game Changer
One of the most significant trends in the U.S. apparel market is the rise of online shopping. E-commerce sales now account for more than 30% of all apparel purchases in the U.S. Consumers are increasingly turning to online platforms for convenience, a wider selection of products, and personalized shopping experiences.
Brands are leveraging technology to offer enhanced customer experiences online. Virtual fitting rooms, AI-driven recommendations, and augmented reality (AR) tools have transformed how consumers interact with apparel brands. Retailers who have adopted these technologies have seen increased engagement and conversion rates.
3. Sustainability and Ethical Fashion
Sustainability has become a critical focus for both consumers and companies in the U.S. apparel market. As awareness of environmental issues grows, shoppers are demanding more eco-friendly and ethically produced clothing. This has led to a surge in demand for sustainable fabrics, second-hand clothing, and brands committed to reducing their carbon footprint.
Some companies are integrating sustainability into their business models by adopting circular fashion practices, which involve recycling and reusing materials. Brands such as Patagonia and Everlane are well-known for their commitment to ethical production and transparency in their supply chains, gaining popularity among eco-conscious consumers.
4. Athleisure: The Casual Revolution
The athleisure trend, which blurs the line between athletic wear and casual fashion, continues to dominate the U.S. market. What started as a niche category has now become mainstream, with consumers favoring versatile clothing that offers both comfort and style. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated this shift, as people sought comfortable clothing for working from home and exercising outdoors.
Brands like Lululemon, Nike, and Adidas have capitalized on this trend, introducing collections that combine performance and fashion. The popularity of athleisure is expected to remain strong, particularly as consumers prioritize health, wellness, and comfort.
5. Fast Fashion vs. Slow Fashion
Fast fashion, which emphasizes low-cost, trendy clothing, remains a significant part of the U.S. apparel market. Retailers like Forever 21, Shein, and Fashion Nova are known for quickly bringing runway-inspired designs to consumers at affordable prices. However, fast fashion faces increasing criticism for its environmental impact and labor practices.
In response, the slow fashion movement is gaining momentum. Slow fashion promotes quality over quantity, encouraging consumers to invest in timeless, durable pieces rather than frequently buying disposable clothing. This shift reflects a broader change in consumer behavior, where shoppers are becoming more mindful of the impact their purchases have on the environment and society.
6. Luxury Fashion: Resilience Amid Challenges
Despite economic uncertainties, the luxury apparel segment in the U.S. has shown resilience. High-end brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel continue to see strong demand, particularly among younger, affluent consumers. The rise of luxury resale platforms, such as The RealReal and Vestiaire Collective, has also boosted this segment, as consumers increasingly view second-hand luxury as a sustainable and cost-effective way to shop.
Moreover, digital innovation in the luxury sector has opened new avenues for growth. Virtual fashion shows, direct-to-consumer sales, and exclusive online collections have allowed luxury brands to maintain their allure while adapting to the digital age.
7. Consumer Behavior: The Rise of Personalization
Personalization is becoming a crucial factor in the success of apparel brands in the U.S. market. Consumers now expect brands to cater to their individual tastes and preferences. From personalized shopping recommendations to custom clothing options, brands are using data-driven insights to offer tailored experiences. This shift is particularly evident in the growth of direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands, which can offer unique, personalized products and build stronger relationships with their customers.
8. Challenges in the U.S. Apparel Market
While the U.S. apparel market presents many opportunities, it also faces significant challenges. Supply chain disruptions, rising production costs, and inflation have impacted both manufacturers and retailers. Additionally, the shift towards sustainability, while necessary, requires significant investment in new materials, production processes, and technologies.
Moreover, the highly competitive nature of the market means that brands must continuously innovate to stand out. With consumers having more choices than ever, maintaining brand loyalty is an ongoing challenge.
9. Future Outlook
The U.S. apparel market is poised for continued growth, driven by the increasing role of technology, sustainability, and changing consumer preferences. Brands that can successfully adapt to these trends, while offering personalized and eco-friendly products, are likely to thrive in this competitive landscape.
