This is the counterpart to my post about Peter and glasses.

I could have included some more details or doodles of Kaine's like, various mobility devices as he gets older but: this is supposed to be glasses-focused. and also... my hand doesn't want me to do that.

I'm not gonna go into the whole timeline here but if you haven't read Dr. Warren's notes on Kaine's development for windowverse (major CW for a lot of stuff, please read the tags) the tl;dr is that Kaine is 12 when he gets taken out and then rapidly aged to adulthood. I did this on purpose rather than going along with the 616 canon. my AU my rules etc.

Anyway here's Kaine 3 years later, when he's 24 and is freed from Warren. Still mildly nearsighted but also starts developing a specific kind of cataract because he's been on various corticosteroid and other medications that fuck with his body (probably better than his body killing him) (maybe) It's a posterior subcapsular cataract btw and it develops basically over the span of a few months, overlooked by the people around him and by himself.

He is actually in the hospital (no longer with Warren) when this happens, partly because of an adrenal crisis from oops suddenly stopping prednisone cold turkey after three years. Everyone's a little preoccupied...

His skin should probably not be so clear here now that I look at this lol but I was more focused on his eyes and hair than his various lesions and acne/skin picking...

Oh, his droopy eyelid is from physical trauma btw. A combo of nerve damage and his orbit/brow bone and surrounding area having healed wrong from a pretty bad break/injury (related to his busted up nose). It's not Bell's palsy and he can still move the left side of his face for the most part but the area around his eye especially is definitely weaker

jumping forward another few years —

by 2015 Kaine can't really see much out his left eye, aside from like... light glare and stuff like that. Bottom left is Kaine in 2014, hair still in the process of darkening as it grows Very Rapidly.

During the windowverse equivalent of The Lost Years and Redemption, from late 2012 to early 2015, Kaine is really underweight (nothing new to him, really...) and very sick and unmedicated, and also dealing with things like the long-term chronic effects of ending steroid medications, withdrawals, etc etc etc... not doing so hot...

He also gains a lot more scars over this time period.

Top right is mid to late 2015, around September probably, don't know why I wrote 2016. Kaine keeps his hair long for a few months in Houston then buzzes his hair in November 2015:

After some shit happens. Post-werewolf mauling, basically. Included a mask on this one since he is on (steroid sparing) immunosuppressants and needs to be more careful... at Donald's urging lol

Kaine also wears sunglasses inside pretty often (along with stuff like ear plugs, which I forgot to draw lol) since, like Peter, he is sensitive to bright lights and is also just in general a little more prone to sensory overload than Peter is. So those are supposed to be Tom Ford Marko FT0144 sunglasses, aka James Bond sunglasses lol (Kaine does not know this, of course)

Anyway, astigmatism in his right eye is getting kind of noticeable (it's more than that but...) He also has acquired some optic nerve damage in his already blind eye because of a combination of factors, so that eye actually is totally blind now

Anyway 2016:

After some stuff happens, Kaine ends up back in New York (with Aracely), things are hectic, finally settle down... very late in 2016 Kaine finally goes to the eye doctor

Unsurprisingly the eye doctor wants Kaine to get cataract removal surgery. Also unsurprisingly, Kaine refuses.

Anyway his indoor frames are based on Gucci's men's cat eye glasses, which technically only come in tortoiseshell but I decided that it's My AU and I make the rules and I can say that Gucci also made these in black, in windowverse. and also kaine's size. lol.

Like Peter, Kaine has tinted lenses. Unlike Peter, they are not Transitions/photochromic. So indoors he has lighter shades with a gradient to almost clear at the bottom, no polarization or anything like that.

For outside—

These are just Kate Spade Genice sunglasses with the lenses replaced w/ black mirrored polarized lenses. Though I don't think I made them flat enough—

My justification for Kaine being able to wear itty bitty designer shades (seriously, why are the arms on kate spade frames so short?) is that he has a couple million dollars and he can do whatever he wants. (Like have the arms replaced.) These specific shades also have pretty large lenses so I figure as long as the arms are lengthened, they should fit.

And also I like them and I want him to wear them.

Anyway jumping ahead like 8 years to when Kaine is in his mid 30s—

More Tom Ford frames. Ingrid, this time, with prescription lenses presumably lol

I'll be honest I did consider giving Kaine a prosthetic eye, but... in this context I think the only reason he'd ever get eye surgery would be if it was a life-threatening emergency, and tbh even with issues like glaucoma and complications from the cataract, it's not clear to me that it would ever be life-threatening unless he managed to get an infection, which I guess is possible, but idk? Eye pain is def not enough motivation for Kaine to have it removed, especially since surgery would increase his risk of infection on account of being immunocompromised on the long-term.

If I were to go that route, windowverse Kaine is the type to have an expensive and glamorous eye made btw, because he is already going to draw attention, he cannot look "normal," regardless of how realistic a professional prosthetic can be, and people are going to stare at him regardless, so I think he would prefer to do something that feels, like... well, like him.

Anywayyyy... I've left it as just an eternal cataract for now but if it turns out that would cause actual dangerous problems I will have them take his eye out...

As far as his working eye goes, in his mid-30s his eyesight is definitely worse, and he's pretty nearsighted, but it's definitely still basically fully correctable with prescription lenses (issues w/ depth perception and lack of binocular vision notwithstanding). But without, he has to look pretty closely at stuff like food labels to be able to read it and even then it can still be blurry.

again, lenses replaced with darker, polarized lenses to suit his needs wrt light sensitivity etc.

Kaine's temples are also starting to thin a tiny bit but it's not very noticeable yet.

This is also four years after he and Aracely moved into a luxury motor home and adopted a stray cat, and his meds are not too awful to keep track of (yay for patches), and actually make him feel comparatively better, so he's like... doing alright for himself. Even his eyebrows are healthier (because he isn't compulsively ripping them out from stress)

Jumping forward another 5-7 years:

I made these frames up on account of it's 10 years in the future. Continuing the cat eye trend.

Kaine starts letting his facial hair grow out at some point between 36 and 40, probably just because shaving is kind of a hassle and he has arthritis (etc), and it's not like it will ever grow very long... he also goes fully gray very quickly upon reaching middle age lmao — Peter doesn't start going gray until a few years after Kaine, and even then doesn't really get grayer than a big skunk stripe before he dies. Ben goes gray in his 50s, but may or may not still be bleaching or coloring his hair at that point lol

Kaine's hairline is obviously also receding a bit more obviously now, unlike his brothers... :/ damn them (okay Peter's got a tiny bit of a receding hairline by 48 but only barely)

But Kaine is... dare I say... kind of happy? He's in a good place in his 30s and 40s, emotionally and relationship-wise, with his whole platonic soulmate thing with Aracely, and the random stray cat she adopted, and their expensive motor home and so on. His vision may be getting worse and he is retired because of his many disabilities but he's like... pretty okay.

Anyway Kaine is very undeniably going blind by the time he's 40 and he's started to learn braille around age 41 as he accepts that.

...probably his lenses should be thicker but I can barely draw glasses as it is..........

In addition to whatever specs he's wearing, he finally gets a tactile cellphone for emergencies around this time, basically only for speed-dialing Aracely, Ben or Peter, or 911.

I figure he prefers tactile stuff like braille or buttons because it's all touch-based and he doesn't like dealing with TTS or dictation (for multiple reasons) and doesn't like screen readers (mostly for sensory reasons), but he does occasionally use those things because sometimes tactile feels worse than listening to a robot, and obviously screen readers can be more useful for specific situations.

ANYWAY Kaine probably has like a BlindShell 2 or MiniVision (non smart) or whatever the hell.

It's worth saying: Kaine can still see out of his right eye, but he can't clarify images well, mostly just moving shapes and blurry silhouettes and colors and light. He can still read really massive text if it's close enough to his face (with glasses) or like, really huge signs, but not with crispness or clarity, and probably still causes some strain. Anything else is illegible.

Still sensitive to light and being dazzled though, probably actually worse now, so still wearing tinted lenses both outdoors and indoors.

Does orientation & mobility around age 43, once someone finally thinks to refer him to a low vision specialist... He does get a cane but not the typical long cane people associate with blindness. He mostly navigates okay on his own since he can still see a little, and the cane is mostly for his chronic pain and other health problems... but he's definitely a lot slower than he used to be, as well as easily startled, and prefers to have Aracely with him if he's out and about.

But all things considered, he's not doing too terribly for a guy who wasn't expected to survive past 30.

So, Anyway, mid 40s:

When Kaine is around 45, since he does have some problems navigating, especially if he's alone, and Aracely can't be around him all the time, Aracely convinces Kaine to get a service dog

Warren's Jackal mask in windowverse was a black leather Anubis mask, not a green bat thing, so the blurry silhouettes of black Dobies make Kaine... stressed, which is why a brown Dobie with uncropped ears (and a Dobie because they drool less)

It takes a while to train her of course, and lots of money too... but they do

So once Brownie is a year old, Kaine has his very own seeing eye dog 🐶

There are like... more details but I want to actually draw Brownie and Kaine's gear for her, so I'll just leave that for some other time. also this post is way too long as it is lmao

Peter probably does bitch a little bit about the breed choice but he can deal with it.

Hi, I was wondering if you knew when Vessel started 'dancing' on stage? I'm pretty sure he started doing in in the late Sundowning-ish era/ TPWBYT era but I thought you'd probably be the best person to ask about finding videos from when he started dancing.

Oooh this is an interesting rabbit hole, thanks for asking Anon 🖤

So... I guess it depends on what you mean by dancing, because Vessel has always sort of moved on stage, you know? But what he did back then and what he's doing now is completely different. Like... maybe a better word for what he used to do is "writhing." The earliest video of a ritual I've seen of Sleep Token's was their third ritual in (what I'm assuming is) late 2017, and "writhing" is probably the best word for what Vessel was doing on stage (and I say that affectionately/respectfully).

TLDR; Conclusively I would say Vessel started dancing, as we see him dance on stage today, in the summer of 2022. He's always moved on stage, and even acted unhinged during Sleep Token's earlier rituals. Below the cut, I go through rituals on YouTube from 2018-2023 to try and pinpoint exactly when Vessel started dancing like we see currently in 2023. (I went through quite a few videos, most not even mentioned in this monster of a post, so I made a YouTube playlist here).

A great example of Vessel's early "writhing" dancing is this YouTube video of Nazareth from the 2018 Leeds Festival (he's also an absolute menace here!! He steps on III, he didn't paint his waist or his back, and he strangles and spits on the original OG IV. Like... the man had demons and I am here for them). The dancing that's most similar to current times starts around 2:37 and 3:40.

2019 is impossible to find good videos for lol, since they did most of their rituals for the Beautiful Oblivion tour as an opener and, apparently, nobody films openers. But there are some with decent audio quality from ArcTanGent (my favorite being The Offering). Interestingly, he's less animated, still writhing, but not a menace to the rest of the band while doing so. If anyone is even slightly photosensitive please don't watch these ArcTanGent videos, the lighting effects really didn't agree with the camera's shutter speed.

This is a video of Higher from December 2019. The sound is not as crisp, and the videographer is quite a bit further from the stage, but Vessel is still moving, especially towards the end. The breakdown starts around 2:15, and while III and OG IV are definitely more animated than Vessel, he's still dancing with them. He even jumps down to scream the end of the song at the barrier (and has a mini-wardrobe malfunction) at 2:39. That crowd was really feeling it and so was Vessel.

Because of the plague in 2020, all of Sleep Token's shows were in January. Vessel's behaviour was very similar to the video posted above (just with less crowd interaction). The first show they played in 2021 was the Download Pilot. This is the best audio quality of that show, and Vessel also moves/dances the most in this video, though it's toward the end around 2:31, where the videographer forgot they were filming and just started vibing, so it's really hard to see, lol. I don't blame them, but it's also shakycam to the max. (Also, a quick fun fact, this is the first show the band played with our current IV as far as I can tell.)

This is another video from 2021, but from Sleep Token's TPWBYT rituals tour. It's Hypnosis, and in the very beginning, we see some Floor Vessel, which is neat and reminiscent of the most recent NA rituals, before he does some of his usual writing, though quite a bit more animated. Around 4:06 you can see the writing again, but after 4:19 it morphs into what we've seen from more recent rituals. (Also, if anyone wants a full 70-minute video of this show, filmed from the center of the balcony looking down on the stage, you can watch it here. Some parts have major flashing, so just be careful).

Here's another video of Hypnosis, this time from September 2022. Here, finally, we see Vessel's current version of dancing, hops and arm flails included. It starts right when the song kicks in at 0:13, and he does it again at the end, around 4:29. Technically they did a UK tour with the Architects in May (see this video of The Offering at 3:50) and an Australian tour in June 2022 with Northlane (again, see this video of The Offering at 0:20, 1:37), with similar behaviour from Vessel, but that BRRF Hypnosis video is the first video I ever watched of Sleep Token live so it's very dear to me and it's also better sound quality than anything I could find from earlier in the year.

Since you asked, I wanted to share my observations and opinions about the timeline between September 19th and October 11th. It’s honestly a wild ride! Feel free to post it or not, depending on what you think is best. Sorry if I missed anything—I’m just trying to connect the dots here (You probably know more about PR tbh) :

Sept 19th – Sebastian drops some nostalgia bombs in his Variety article about Leighton Meester, which probably sent CAA into panic mode. Cue the scramble to boost AW’s visibility and deflect attention away from his past. They start throwing crumbs in the following weeks.

Sept 20th – In a Today Show interview, Seb mentions a bracelet from his mom, and you’d think he just declared war on the 'Stall' shippers! Their meltdown over his jewelry being tied to AW is peak absurdity. Like, chill—it’s a bracelet from the woman who gave birth to him—his MOTHER!

Sept 24th – Cleide Klock from CAA casually mentions Seb’s “girlfriend” who grew up in Portugal (ahem, AW) in an interview that went nowhere. Classic CAA move to keep AW relevant while trying to maintain their narrative.

Sept 19th - Oct 4th – DeuxMoi gets questions about Seb and AW’s relationship status, and what does DeuxMoi do? She posts screenshots of AW liking stuff and the stories she had about Seb's movie on IG. It’s like DeuxMoi is trying to portray AW as the supportive GF while also playing a game of whack-a-mole to keep her in the spotlight.

Oct 4th – At the Chiltern Firehouse party, Seb looks straight-up stressed while he pushes AW inside and helps Ruby with the straights instead. That tense jaw and body language say it all—definitely not the romantic vibe CAA is trying to sell. And that awkward selfie from Ruby and AW? Yikes! He legit looks constipated.

Oct 11th – DeuxMoi drops the bomb about Seb and Leighton, calling him a “couch fucker.” Like, can you say character assassination? This feels like a preemptive strike for AW to play the “wronged girlfriend” card if Seb doesn’t renew her contract.

Oct 13th – A video surfaces of Seb looking totally distressed while bolting from a hotel, with AW lagging behind like a lost puppy. The dude didn’t even glance back. Talk about a disconnect! Evelyn was there too, but honestly, who cares?

Oct 17th – AW tagged along with the cast at the Apprentice Gala Premiere in Copenhagen (as if she was part of the movie) —a classic desperate attention-seeking move. And Seb's smirk? Yeah, that’s not the look of a guy smitten. I mean, his eyes were doing something, and that smirk? It sounded more like a sarcastic “I’m amused by your antics, but not feeling the love,” totally contradicting the ‘bedroom eyes’ narrative the 'Stall' shippers are pushing.

My two cents:

All this evidence points to CAA trying to keep AW in the picture. Meanwhile, Seb keeps shading her in interviews—like when he mentions how people are addicted to filler, Botox, and social media, implying that those who spend their whole day scrolling lack substance and seek validation elsewhere. I think either she or her team realized he wasn’t going to renew the contract, so they paid DeuxMoi to post the podcast claiming Sebastian cheated on Leighton. Suddenly, we start seeing stories about him allegedly cheating on Jennifer and Diana, too.

It feels like a desperate attempt to either back him into a corner to renew the contract or set the stage for AW to portray herself as the saintly girlfriend who always supported him, only to be cheated on like he always does. Cue the “poor AW” narrative! Seriously, dragging up something that may or may not have happened years ago? Really?

Damn, that was loooong, and I probably forgot some stuff! I didn’t even get into her baiting and lurking on Insta stories because I’d be writing an entire novel instead of an ask (sorry, lol). So yeah, that’s basically my take on things, but who knows… maybe I’m just overthinking this soap opera! 🤷‍♀️

First Devlog?

Hello everyone...boy, there are a lot of you already, still trying to digest that...

So, I gather that I should do these logs on occasion. I do not know how often, perhaps just when I have a few things to say. I will try not to ramble too much, but my fingies like to talk.

Anyway, I am working on chapter 3 right now. There’s some fun moments so far in it that I hope you’ll like, and we’ll get to meet Zahn, Duri'naan, and then Rundis. I’m trying not to rush because there are some exciting scenes that I’m eager to get to. I’ve outlined them to tide myself over until I get that far. There’s some quiet moments you’ll get to have as well, and right now I feel like that’s what I’m struggling with. Those areas of my story are like bridges to the next, more exciting, parts and sometimes I feel like they fall a little flat. But, I’m trying to keep in mind this is my first draft. I’ll go through it another time or two to perk things up. Those moments are still important for letting the MC get to know each RO.

My mind has been in a million directions lately too, and I’ve had a lot of ‘duh’ moments. I’ve done so much world building since I started this last year (around August/September I think), that I have pockets of important details that I kinda just forgot! So, I plan to re-read all the notes I’ve made and try to also put them into one place. I have some in my phone, in a notebook, and in no less than three folders on my laptop. It’s a wonder I have survived this many years…

What you can expect for coming updates…

-A couple fixes, of course – thank you to those who found some of those pesky buggy bois for me.

-A nicer front page, instead of being slapped with my ramblings, I’d like to actually have a nice start page. I’ll figure it out eventually, lol.

-I’ll be adding a name bank to the MC’s Nameday scene that will also show you what each name means, so if that is important to you, it’ll save you the internet search. If it tickles your fancy, the name selection will correspond in some way to the marks (names meaning "night" or "storm," etc.) so you can theme your MC a bit.

-Extra coding in case you decide to shorten MC’s given name to just “Ravi.” I did not once consider that anyone would do this, and my first play-tester – my own spouse – did….He told me about it since it made some dialog with Oswin make zero sense, and then I published the story without fixing it because I completely forgot about it.

-Different contrast color for dark mode links. I feel like I have drastically improved this with a new gold color. In retrospect, I don’t know why I didn’t use the gold before. I love it as an accent, I use it all over! The blue never felt 100% right, but my brain shut down after thinking about it too long. Here’s a sample and a (M) Zahn tease:

When can you expect an update?

I’d like to make my next update during the Amare Games Festival, ideally containing both chapters 3 and 4 since they go pretty tightly together. This will also insure that you meet the rest of the posse. It’s a tall order for both chapters to be submitted on time, and I don’t want to rush them either, but I’m going to try really really hard, lol. I will focus first on polishing chapter 3, so that no matter what, I can at least get it out in time.

I also wanted to give you all a big, like really big, heartfelt thank you. I have received so many kind messages and comments that I just can’t believe it. I am so happy (and honestly, genuinely shocked) that you’re enjoying my IF, and I’m motivated to work hard so you also enjoy each new chapter of your journey. There’s so many secrets I want to share with you about the world, and I am struggling to be patient myself, lol.

I am not usually a very open or social person, and I was scared for a long time to share anything I wrote. I reached a point in my personal life in the last few years where I just needed to embrace what I loved to do and share it with a community that shares in that love. I encourage you to do the same whether there is a story in your heart, music on your lips, or a paintbrush in your hands. Life is NOT about your 8-5. We may not be able to survive without it, but whatever moment you can, do what you actually love. Put away the those things that don’t matter, the things that stress you - including people, and make time for who you are.

A/N: I was originally going to post this September 22nd but life got in the way and I was never able to finish it lol. But I finally had a chance to this weekend. It’s very rough, so I hope to re-edit it soon.

Anyway, this goes with the prompt diary and Clarke for the September Monthly Challenge if it's not too late to submit.

Not many people know who the heartthrob and cynical Prince of Ismar truly is. 

He built his walls so high after the death of his sister Ayda that the only person he let in was Eren, a member of his court and best friend. He was the only one who seemed to understand the pain Clarke went through because he felt the exact same. The three of them were inseparable when they were younger after all.

Of course Clarke's parents loved Ayda, but the way they handled her death made him feel angry and frustrated and so utterly alone. He felt powerless at the fact that he couldn’t even mourn or honor his own sister properly. 

Dealing with these emotions during his teenage years forced him to bury so much of himself. He thought that maybe he needed to see a professional, someone he could talk to about Ayda, someone who could help him cope with everything his parents put him through. 

All he did was ask his mother and father if he could see a therapist, but both immediately denied him, saying it would only show “weakness” in the family. 

Eren, being Clarke's closest friend, suggested writing out how he was feeling. Clarke originally protested at first, claiming that he didn’t want to keep a “diary.”

“Clarke, I understand it goes against your mysterious nature, but I’ll be the only person who knows. Besides, it might help you process your feelings better than just letting them overwhelm you daily,” Eren told him after refusing several times.

Eventually, Clarke caved. He found an empty journal within the castle and brought it to his room. He sat down at his desk, opened the journal, and started writing. As he kept writing, he found that he very much enjoyed it. So much so, that he eventually filled journals upon journals of his thoughts and feelings. 

As the years passed by, he found himself writing less and less, but he would write whenever important events happened in his life or the topic of Ayda came back up. 

He was now back in Ismar after a whirlwind of the past several months in Monterre with Daisy. They’ve been engaged for two months now, and he’s never been so happy. 

Now, he was back home for the first time since Daisy had insisted on going with him to Ismar to convince his parents to let him come back to Monterre. Back when he didn't know that she was not Princess Rose, but a completely different person. 

Clarke was standing in his room, holding a brand-new picture frame with a picture of Daisy and him during their engagement photos. A smile spread across his face as he was pulled back into the memory of the day these pictures were taken in Monterre. 

But he shook his head, pulling himself out of the memory and remembering the task at hand; get back to Daisy as fast as possible before his parents start bombarding her with insane questions about her life back in the States. He knows that Daisy can handle herself, but he doesn’t wish his parents inconsiderate questions on anyone, especially his future wife. 

His feet carried him to his desk, where he placed the picture frame on one of its shelves. As he set it down, his eyes caught on one of his notebooks. He forgot to bring his current one with him to Monterre, but didn’t even think about writing anything since he met Daisy. 

Completely distracted by the journal, he sat down at his desk and flipped through the pages to his latest entry. It was the day when his parents told him that he would be leaving soon to “court” Princess Rose of Monterre. Clarke chuckled as he skimmed the page. If only he knew what was in store for him all those months ago. 

He flipped through more pages, and eventually came across an entry he made a year ago. It was about an argument his parents and him had about Ayda. Frowning, he flipped to another page, not wanting to relive one of the many arguments that hurt him more than his parents would ever know.

After reading for a few minutes, he decided to start writing, retelling the past few months.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. Out of habit, he quickly shut his journal and turned around, making sure that his notebook was hidden behind him. 

He watched as the door opened to reveal Daisy. A smile spread across his face as she entered his room. 

“You will not believe the amount of questions your parents just asked me about the public school system in Ohio,” Daisy said laughing as she flopped down on the edge of Clark’s bed. 

Clarke let out a dry laugh as he abandoned his desk, sitting down next to her in two strides. 

“Of course they did,” he said, rolling his eyes. After everything Daisy has proved to them, they still feel the need to ask her questions like that. 

Daisy laced her hand through Clarkes, sensing the silent anger he felt towards his parents simmering. 

“Good thing I have a handsome prince to defend me,” she added, resting her head on his shoulder. A small smile spread across his face as he pressed a kiss to the top of her head. Before Clarke could respond, Daisy asked, “Were you writing something?” She was looking right at his journal placed on his desk.

Leaving her spot at the edge of Clarke’s bed, she went to his desk to investigate. 

Clarke found himself not moving. Normally when people were even near his journals, aka his parents, he would go into flight or fight mode, making sure that neither of them saw. But with Daisy, he felt oddly at peace knowing that she would now know this part of him. 

Now at his desk, she picked up the journal and gave him a questioning look. 

“You can read it if you would like to,” he responded, answering her question before she could even ask it. 

“I don’t have to if it’s something you want kept private,” she responded, knowing that sometimes people write just for themselves.

“Daisy,” he started as he jumped up and went to stand next to her. He gently cupped both of her cheeks with his hands. “We’re getting married in a few months. There is nothing I wish to keep from you.” He pressed a kiss to her forehead, and then one to her lips. 

She smiled against his lips, wishing that he would show the world this side of him more often.  

When he pulled away, he continued, “Besides, I was going to tell you about my journals at some point.”

“Journals?” she questioned. “I didn’t even know that you wrote.” 

“That’s because no one knows besides Eren, and now you,” he said smiling, stepping away and getting onto his knees. 

“Clarke, what are you—,” Daisy’s words caught in her throat before she could finish. She watched as he pulled back the carpet they were standing on, revealing a loose floorboard. He easily pulled back the board, unveiling about five other journals. Daisy knelt down beside him. 

“You can read whatever you want. Most entries are about Ayda. And the journal you have in your hands is my most recent one. The last entry I have before the one I was writing was written the day before I met you.” 

She knew he had kept his heart guarded for so long after Ayda died. And all the things his parents did, along with the press trying to get to him, made everything so much worse. 

“Thank you for sharing this with me, I know it must have been hard to keep all of this in for so many years,” she said, looking into his bright blue eyes. 

“It was, but I know I’m safe with you.” He said, looking back at her with pure adoration in his eyes. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go talk to my parents about their manners.”

Daisy chuckled. “Don’t be too hard on them, the public school system in the States is kind of crazy.”

“I’ll keep that in mind,” he said, laughing as he stood up and went to the door. 

“I’ll be back in a few minutes, but have fun reading the many secrets of the cynical Prince of Ismar,” he voiced jokingly. 

Regardless of his amusing tone, he felt a sense of relief now that he can share more of this side of himself with the one person that truly seems to understand and care for him. 

“Hey Clarke,” Daisy said right before he walked out. 

“Yes?” 

“I love you.” 

A smile spread across his face and his heart felt full for the first time in a long time.

He turned back to look at her, “I love you too.” 

Daisy watched as he left, closing the door behind him. Looking at the journals in front of her, she slid the floor board back into place and laid the carpet back over it. She figured she would save those for another day.

Standing up, she took his most recent journal and sat down at his desk. She flipped to his latest entry. It had today's date.

Smiling, she started to read.

update - september 10th, 2024

it's been about a good few months since the announcement I made to start this blog anew, so it's appropriate I give y'all an update and let y'all know I didn't abandon this again... (this entire project has consumed my thoughts since early may)

last I mentioned I've only begun brainstorming a new storyline, though now I have a pretty clear outline how the plot will unravel. at the moment there are a few in-betweens I need to add as well as rewriting/adding more content for an arc; I am not liking how lackluster it feels and it's a very important arc. well it should be. kinda note to self here, make sure to research that thing involving the arc rewrite

as you've seen recently, I started working on revising the banner with, surprisingly, an improved art style. I'm also testing the process of drawing asks and how it will look for the askblog on my art blog, here, feel free to leave me some asks there! answering those asks are gonna take some time since I have work and school started recently and I'm slightly behind atm, hah. the process and art style are basically what I've done before with a few tweaks and hopefully more expression/pose diversity; I mainly wanna get used to the process again

once all the background stuff is taken care of I need to work on the technical stuff, which is mainly tediously retagging all the old posts, yay... I'm also binge watching as many yogs complete series related to the undesirables as I can since I pretty much forgot everything lol. so far I'm just about half way through flux buddies and that's only the tip of the iceberg to the collection of series I need to rewatch. ALSO I've never seen blood and chaos so that will be fun

I project the rerelease of askyogsundesirables to be sometime in early 2025? which is ironic since the first post was made back in early 2020. wouldn't it be funny I start the blog back up at the exact same date. if the demi-gods permit, we'll see

PJM2 + Solo Music Timeline Theory pt2

So I already did my big desperate timeline prediction post, but now that we got RPWP and another possible PJM2 hint with MMM, I do have some updated thoughts. So here’s a pt2.

I’m going to stick with my prediction that PJM2 could be a summer album, and if so I think that a July release would make a lot of sense considering the album release pattern that has sort of emerged (although one time is definitely not enough to establish a pattern lol).

Basically there was exactly two months between the release of HOTS (march 29th) and RPWP (may 24th), and exactly one month between HOTS release and RPWP preorders. That means if we keep the same pattern the next album will come out at the end of July with preorders opening end of June.

This would actually be perfect considering the first half of June is going to be dedicated to Jin’s return and FESTA. What better way to cap off FESTA celebrations than an album announcement? And this schedule is the perfect way to keep content flowing without gaps or too much overlap.

We know for FESTA content we’re getting Jin’s return, RPWP MV #4 (iirc), and my guess would be possibly Jikook show teaser/announcement, maybe a group single from the vault like Take Two? There might be some more subunit variety content like MMM too. I’m sure they have some stuff planned. Plus Jin returning will be huge.

Also this album release order would follow another pattern (that might be unintentional) but basically it would be following their debut album release order: JITB -> Indigo -> FACE, HOTS -> RPWP -> PJM2

If JK releases a single after PJM2 it would also somewhat follow this pattern considering Seven came after FACE, and I don’t think Yoongi is going to be dropping music if he’s really keeping an extra low profile because of alternative enlistment. Although Fri(end)s would be the outlier here, so maybe I’m overthinking this part lol.

I still think the Jikook show could come out during the summer and be used to promote both of Jikook’s music releases. JK also hinted that he had something big in the summer so I’m still assuming it’s going to be a single (unless he’s the one with an album).

I somehow forgot about JKs documentary when I made my last post. I can’t remember if there was any actual information about when it would be released? But if we don’t have any idea, I could see September working really well if they use his birthday month like Jimin did for the Production Diary.

If JK has a single in August it would flow perfectly into Golden documentary and bonus documentary content in September. If he’s the one to release music in July I could also see it being released for Seven anniversary too.

But there’s definitely enough time for Jikook to both release music between June - August if one of them is releasing a single and the other an album, although that would be crazy considering Jikook are probably going to have the most intense releases as far as charting goes. I could see either of them releasing in September/October too. I won’t survive if we have to wait until 2025 for PJM2 so I’m not going to entertain that train of thought just yet, and JK said summer for himself so.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see. I really have no idea! This is definitely probably way too much speculation based on absolutely nothing substantial 😭 but this is how I keep myself sane while the fandom implodes.

But yeah, my current prediction timeline is

First half of June - Jin return, FESTA content, RPWP MV, maybe Jikook show teaser 2nd half of June - PJM2 announcement and preorders 1st half of July - possible PJM2 prerelease and content, maybe Jikook show starts 2nd half of July - PJM2, MMM mini edition August - JK releases a single or EP + Jikook show could start if it hasn’t yet September - possible JK documentary with extra content and rollout similar to Jimin’s Production Diary, or once again Jikook show if it hasn't started yet October - Hobi returns, maybe Jin album announcement? (if we were following previous pattern it would be an album at the end of the month, but that's probably way too soon)

And then obviously the rest of the year will be mostly Jin album, maybe also a single, and various promotions and activities + not sure how soon Hobi will start releasing content but he did say he had plans post-enlistment so we’ll definitely see something. And I do think a mini tour in 2025 seems crazy but possible. That would absolutely fill up the beginning of the year with something big and exciting to tide ARMYs over until June.

I can’t remember if Namjoon or Taehyung mentioned documentaries for their albums? But that could happen too, and I’m sure that the enlisted members have more surprises outside of their major music releases considering MMM came out of nowhere, so maybe some mini subunit variety content, or some more singles and collabs.

Still I hope this timeline is right. I don’t think I could handle a much longer wait for PJM2 or the travel show tbh 😭

first of all, how's everyone doing after an emotional weekend in the life of 75 fandom? sending lots of hugs to everyone who might need them as post concert tour / depression is a bitch. have experienced that many times in the past and it sadly never becomes easier.

just wanted to pop in here and say thanks to everyone who has followed this blog during the weekend. i didn't quite expect it, but it's been a pleasant surprise :)

some personal rambles below.

tbh i had been off tumblr for a few years due to just being busy with life (and depression and anxiety) but got back on here late last september and it's been a good time. i forgot how fun it can be to become immersed in the stuff you love and see many other people's posts sharing similar thoughts / feelings you have or might've had at some point in time.

i decided to start this side blog as to keep my 75 brain rot in one place lol. music takes up about 92.3% of my brain cells with the other percentage being filled with silly / fluffly / smutty thoughts about that one band and one matty healy.

i wanted to ask: do y'all actually enjoy rambly fic thoughts without much writing expertise? asking 'cause that's pretty much my case, hah. wish i could turn them into proper stories, but sadly i lack the skills to make it a finessed, coherent story with a plot.

i think my first approach to watching 911 was in september ‘22? i watched like first 3/4 episodes and stopped (i don’t even know why, probably it had something to do with getting my academic degree and preparing for final exams, i guess? then i started watching supernatural and i totally forgot about firefighters lol)

my second approach was more successful. i think it was actually somehow after the new year? (i have photo of eddie standing in christopher’s room from january 5th in my gallery, from 2x04. and wait a minute, i just realized it’s the same photo as my fucking avatar/icon here. this is pretty sick holy shit 👀). and then i was up to date with the episodes when s6b started 🩵

and what made me want to watch it? i mean come on, they’re firefighters, do i need more reasons?

obviously i’m kidding, it’s a funny story. i found some buddie edits on instagram like 2/3 years ago, and then one day i was looking through my saved posts, and i saw one edit, and was like “damn they are so sweet together😭”. so yeah, unfortunately i didn’t know i would need my clown mask and boots to enjoy “this cute firefighters couple” on the show lmao

and i’m sorry. i can’t stop with the rambling when it comes to my silly firefighters show😭

Yeah no of course definitely sure buddy. I'm also curious to know how this chapter is going to go. I can definitely help with that. Let me just dust off this doc that I last touched in *checks timestamp* September 2021.

So for the uninitiated, Hero Detective Agency is my 1940s private detective AU where each chapter tends to follow a "case of the week" type formula. Other than Saitama (detective) and Genos (his assistant), most characters only appear in one chapter, though sometimes they get foreshadowed before their official appearance. Garou will not be showing up until Chapter 9, but fun fact: He was the "hooligan" that Golden Ball mentions picked a fight with him outside the bar prior to the events of Chapter 3. (My notes for the Garou chapter are so old that originally Spring Mustachio and Golden Ball were going to be cops in Chapter 9 before I gave them bigger roles owning the pawn shop in Chapter 3.)

I'm a little...shakier on fine points of how Chapter 9 is going to go plot-wise, but the premise is extremely similar to the hero hunter arc of the manga if you replace "pro hero" with "cop". Basically, Garou's been going around attacking police officers in City Z. (Motive currently undecided. I'm debating how much I want to get into the "corruption in the law" angle or whether that's way too much I want to go into politically lol.) Saitama takes a personal interest in the case after Mumen Rider, his old partner, gets attacked. He starts investigating on his own until...

Bang, who is the now retired former police chief at the precinct Saitama worked at before he started HDA, asks Saitama to find Garou and put a stop to his cop hunting. Bang's purposely going beneath the law/under the table/however you want to put it by asking Saitama, a private detective, for help instead of giving over any of the info he has to the police. To put it frankly, Bang Does Not Trust Them. Bang still runs a dojo in this fic, though I'm undecided if Garou will still go through with the whole "beating up all his classmates" thing or just run away. In any case, Bang thinks of Garou as something like a wayward son and would very much prefer he not get locked up in jail...or worse.

Probably disappointingly for you (sorry!), Garou won't physically appear until near the end of the chapter. Since the fic is almost exclusively from Saitama's perspective, we don't meet Garou until Saitama does. Actually, until Bang shows up, Saitama doesn't even know Garou's identity! So it's almost going to be more of a "tracking down a serial killer" kind of feel--following after the chaos left in his trail, trying to glean what he can find out from victims, making guesses about Garou's personality and motives (definitely will be a fun encounter with Tareo which throws a lot of his assumptions for a loop!)--which hopefully builds up nicely to a big showdown with Garou himself.

I don't have snippets that are like, a good sharing size? But I can offer you some fun previews and/or trivia about the chapter:

The chapter name is tentatively The Case of the Human Monster.

There is a funny scene with Glasses that I totally forgot I wrote. Re-reading it actually gave me pretty bad imposter syndrome. As I do every time I laugh at something clever that I, apparently, wrote myself but do not remember.

Badd gets aged up a few years so I could make him a rookie cop. He makes a joke that if he was "a few years younger" that he, Genos, and Garou could have all been friends and formed a Shitty Teen Squad.

Watchdog Man is in charge of the precinct's K-9 squad.

Bang tries to recruit Saitama to his dojo, and when that doesn't work, he tries Genos.

Garou calls Saitama a dick. Like in the '40s slang for private detective kind of way. But I still giggled writing it, because I am 12 years old.

Thank you for the ask! I've been struggling real hard with writers block on HDA in particular. But it's still fun to talk about different aspects of the story and things like this help me remember why I wrote it in the first place!

So far I'm not finding anything. There was an older one for Gen V s1, but obviously that isn't helpful to me lol.
