🐦‍⬛When he can't be there, Laserbeak often hovers near the little one until he can make it. He also uses Laserbeak to keep watch over littles who are too afraid to tell someone about their regression.

🚀Mostly regresses to deal with trauma, and absolutely refuses to let anyone know about it!

🚀He stims a lot as a little! He rumbles his engine to mimic purring, flaps his wings up and down, waves his arms, you name it!

🚀 Starscream prefers to regress outside eof the Nemesis; it's the source of a lot of his trauma, so he just feels safer in isolated places on earth.

🚀One time he and Arcee bumped into each other while regressed. It was...have you ever seen those videos where the two cats stand across from each other with their tails fluffed up just hissing and yowling? Yep. That was what happened. Optimus (not regressed) had to pick Arcee up and physically separate them. They...don't talk about it.

🚀He still hasn't noticed Laserbeak following him when he's regressed to make sure he's safe.

🧪Shockwave:

🧪Father Caregiver!

🧪This guy is fascinated by regression as a concept; he shares Soundwave's interest in how it works, but more on a scientific level.

🧪As a caregiver, Shockwave is a bit strict with regards to safety and care. He makes sure his little one has consumed energon and lays down to recharge when tired. No matter how much they fuss.

🧪Not the most entertaining CG, but he takes good care of any little ones he has.

🧪 Despite his scientific demeanor, he actually quite enjoys holding and caring for littles. He finds it therapeutic, chalking that up to his natural instinct to care for children and infants. Definitely not because he just likes cradling a little in his arm, nope!

💝Knockout:

💝 Fox regressor!

💝 An absolute menace as a little one; this little guy is a kleptomaniac when it comes to shiny things. Many will go searching for random items they 'lost' only to find a stash hidden away somewhere.

💝 Like Megatron, Knockout is a very bitey little one. He doesn't need teethers as strong as Megs though. He's just got little bitty teefs!

💝 Often gets zoomies and races in alt mode around the Nemesis. He's only plowed into someone twice, surprisingly.

💝 He's one of the only ones who's open about his regression; he knows Breakdown will deal with anyone who dares to say anything.

🚙Breakdown:

🚙 Caregiver!

🚙 Mainly Knockout's caregiver, but doesn't have the heart to say no to any other little one that wanders in.

🚙 Like Bulkhead, Breakdown is an absolute softie with his little ones. He loves making puns and telling jokes to make them laugh.

🚙 Uses his large size to his advantage, and carries littles in his arms or on his back.

🚙 He's a calm presence that is unmatched in his ability to talk down a scared and overwhelmed little one.

🚙You can't tell me that he wouldn't baby talk when he thinks no one's watching. You know he would.

🪽 Dreadwing:

🪽 Toddler regressor!

🪽Two words: Soft Baby. He's such a soft and gentle baby! Look at him wrong, and he may cry. No, he WILL cry.

🪽 Dreadwing loves soft textures, something he loves about humans is how many soft things they make. He found a huge stuffed bear that was abandoned behind a deserted mall, and it's his most prized possession.

🪽He has a really hard time while regressed because his brother isn't there. Once Skyquake died, Dreadwing spent a lot of time sobbing into his bear unconsolably. It was one of the few times he let Soundwave look after him, just because he didn't want to be alone.

🪽He and Optimus sort of have a weird feeling of familiarity, but neither of them know why. Call it little-sense, idk.

🪽Most often goes to Breakdown when he feels he needs a caregiver to help him; the bot's goofy nature helps him relax.

🪽Skyquake:

🪽 Lion regressor!

🪽 Scary boi, look at him, so scary! Grr...

🪽He's intimidating because of his size, but regressed Skyquake is just a little guy that tries to be scary. Think cub Simba trying to roar.

🪽He found out about lions soon after arriving on earth, and absolutely fell in love.

🪽 Seriously, just ask him about lions and he'll tell you everything there is to know about them.

🕷️Arachnid:

🕷️Mother caregiver!

🕷️She's not super invested in the whole "regression" thing, but she spotted Starscream wandering around in petspace and followed him around out of interest.

🕷️She's not a part of the Decepticons, and she definitely doesn't seek out littles, but if she happens to see one she just might stick close by. Not that she wants to care for them, no! She's just... observing.

🕷️Tsundere caregiver, she tries and fails to convince herself that she doesn't want to be someone's official caregiver. But, the life of a rogue does get kinda lonely...

💜: Doesn't really have any nicknames, you better believe Megatron will give you the DIRTIEST look if you call him anything. (Soundwave internally calls him "Little Spitfire".)

Breaking down Starfury's robot form (via analyzing Risen Valstrax's anatomy)

So here's my thinking on how a potential robot mode for my tfsona would look. With Transformers obviously their alt mode is divided into segments that can then move into different locations and mass-convert to shrink or grow to accommodate their robot form. So here's some ideas I have via breaking down segments/areas of Risen Valstrax!

The star shape on the back near the base of the neck would look cool as hell on the front of the chassis. Like a glowing core.

The face can easily be divided into 3 key segments: The beak, the red scar part, and the crown.

I think the red Scar would look really cool as a sort of "makeup" look or a pattern visible in a similar spot on the actual face in robot mode.

The crown and beak can make up the helm. Not sure in what order or how the configuration would look but I think the profile it could give the helm would look cool.

These spikes here are a bit tricky. They could go on the back, shoulders, or even elbow joints and knees? I feel like they would work best where they wouldn't look too clunky or bulky. The overall look I want for my tfsona is similar in style to the figure/body shapes of Knockout, Rodimus, and Starscream. Generally slimmer, more aerodynamic, and that good ol' Speedster vibe, but with that Predacon Power twist to it.

This underbelly look I think would look cool for the midsection/waist area. That middle part where the Cybertronian's "belly" is between the Chassis and hip plating is. This vented look could also work for the neck or any areas where vents would be located (since Cybertronians "breath" more through their vents since they don't have lungs, and this is also where the Valstrax breathes through, including the back of the head!).

The front claws would become the feet, while the hind claws could possible go elsewhere.

This part of the arms I think could either stay on the forearms or go on the thighs.

The tail I could see folding into the hip/waist plating in some way?

Now the big thing and the signature feature: The WINGS

(this is regular CG Valstrax wing to better show anatomy)

The wings come in 3 large segments connected by a membrane, giving them that signature jet beam look and also allowing great flexibility.

Just look at that reach when stabbing!

The joints on the elbows allow the wings to reverse themselves, allowing for the jets to become powerful lasers and canons.

So what do we do with them in bot mode? LEAVE EM!!! Those wings are staying strapped to my bot's back, functioning the same as they would in beast form. This allows the main body to have that sleek design while giving the overall profile a very intimidating and powerful stance, and makes them look much bigger than they are. It also tells other big bots like Megatron that hey, you got a fusion canon, but I have six on my back at all times and they mean BUSINESS.

I'm bored at work doing a crossword and one of the clues is "Transformers baddie" with enough space for Starscream. Turns out that's wrong and the correct answer is "Decepticon," singular. Yes, I admit that the Decepticons are the primary antagonists, but I would assume "baddie" would be referring to a particular character. Plus, not all the villains are Decepticons, and not all Decepticons are necessarily villains. They're was also a clue "transformers technology, for short" which ended up being "CGI," and I get that they might not have that much knowledge of the lore, but that was just a lousy hint imo. There's so much transformers content that doesn't use any CG, a better hint writer would've put something like "3d rendering, in short" because I thought it was Cog, like the T-cog most transformers have

Beast Wars S1 Ep10

Heart warming moment!! First episode I want to rewatch again.

Dinobot really isn't Starscream huh. I know that's very obvious at this point but my expectations for this guy to betray the Maximals is getting harder to believe. If or when it does happen.

Maybe it's cause he has the "evil" voice but ekrjrjjrnr when he's at Optimus' bedside, smiles and showed he bloomed that flower Optimus wanted to examine. Just ejjfbfb

I liked that episode. I can't tell if I'm getting used to the cg or if the animation is getting a little better. Framing in these episodes are a little better too.

I think that such a thing is possible. But I also happen to think that it’s one of two Plan D ideas if all else fails. Earthspark dies or gets written off for taxes. One flops no matter who ends up playing Starscream. Any attempt at new product that isn’t calling back to a prior line fails.

The franchise and others like it have been here before. The era of Generation 2, roughly 1993-1994 was earmarked by Hasbro’s two big 80s properties, Transformers and GI Joe, rapidly running out of gas at retail, with toys not selling, media burning out (Hasbro’s attempt at a G2 cartoon was simply to slap primitive CG bumpers on existing G1 episodes that made the show less comprehensible).

Or to use their competitors in the toy robot sphere, the vaunted Gundam franchise around 1993 was facing burnout from its lead creator, Yoshiyuki Tomino, and the very heavy, poorly selling V Gundam, which while definitely considered better than G2 Transformers and the DIC GI Joe, was criticized for weird mechanical designs and a bleak tone.

The solution in both cases? A dramatic break from what had come before. In the case of Hasbro it was Beast Wars, replacing vehicles with animals and a new CG show with different personalities and a different setting (which may be why the first draft of it just being the old Autobots and Decepticons getting beast modes was rejected). And it was awesome.

Meanwhile Gundam abandoned its original continuity in favor of the first of many alternate universe shows, with Mobile Fighter G Gundam and its super robot martial arts tournament, as far from Tomino’s vision of real robots as one could get. And it was awesome.

So I think if all else fails, Hasbro will do one of two things. Go full hog on G1 and make a Season 4 of the original cartoon, or pull a Beast Wars/G Gundam and make something completely from scratch with the Transformers branding, but divorced from Prime, Megatron, and G1 trappings.

I’ve been seeing debates on whether Hasbro should do a remake/continuation of G1’s cartoon. While most have said no for one reason or another, citing the poor reception to MOTU: R and the mixed reception to X-Men in particular, I’m more curious on the matter. While I agree we don’t need it, part of me really wants Hasbro to do it just to see what they’d do with it.

I’ve seen some point out there wouldn’t be toys to sell for it, but my rebuttal is that’s what Legacy/Prime Generations is for. Basically just have this hypothetical show be the WFC/PW equivalent. One MAJOR stipulation: it must be tonally in line with the original cartoon and Transformers Devastation. Make this an all ages, but especially kid friendly show. None of that nonsense PW/WFC did. In fact keep those writers away from it, bring in Simon Furman, Flint Dille & Bob Budiansky to throw in some sexy adjectives and be script supervisors/editors to the new staff.

As for the plot, it depends on what they’d do: full remake-AU or continuation. The later would be simpler I think, just following up on what Galvatron and Zarak have been up to and the Autobots’/humanity’s reaction to it.

No matter what they’d do I feel like Hasbro would insist on lite retcons that include the 13 Primes and their Relics, which in turn fuel Galvatron and Zarak’s ambitions, while Optimus and Hot Rod have shared premonitions about the history of the Prime lineage, revealing in the cartoon universe, the thirteen primes were the prototypes the Quintessons developed after the Trans-Organics, with the Prime relics being Quintesson tools the Primes inherited after the Quints were driven off Cybertron. The Quints aren’t particularly happy their own tools are being uncovered, let alone seeing Galvatron using the Forge to upgrade his troops into Micromasters, Action Masters, & Pretenders. It becomes a race to see who collects the relics, with the Autobots determined to stop the Quintessons and Decepticons from abusing this ancient power. All the while, Solus Prime, Alchemist Prime and Quintus Prime are watching from the sidelines, the last survivors of the ancient Primes. And because Furman, there’d be a bit in here about Grimlock being a vessel for Onyx Prime temporarily, lol.

A clean slate AU could be done any number of ways, though my stipulation would absolutely no Allspark plot, but instead maybe combine elements of Dark of the Moon and Devastation where the factions are looking for the Ferotaxxis, which possess the data necessary to restore Cybertron by producing Synthetic Energon to whoever finds it first. The Ferotaxxis is unearthed by humans meanwhile, who study it and the unearthed Nova Prime, seeing a technological boom as far as the 80’s/90’s are concerned (similar to the Bay films and Sumac Systems in Animated). Nova isn’t particularly pleased at being poked and prodded by what he deems a lazy inferior species, and like Bay Sentinel concocts a scheme to screw over humanity, Optimus’ Autobots and secure the Ferotaxxis to gift Cybertron Earth’s energy. Because Cybertron is all that matters, the devil with anything that gets in the way of it.

The Autobots human friends would be Spike, Carly and Chip, the children of scientists and engineers working on Project O-Part; the O-Part, the Ferotaxxis, reacting to the Autobots and Decepticons presence on Earth.

The plot would then extend to the lineage of the 13 Primes and their relics, as they were things Nova and the Ferotaxxis were privy to, leading to the Autobots and the kids from stopping the Decepticons from getting their hands on the relics, with another wrinkle being added that some countries already found some like Carbomya, and won’t surrender them easily…

Like I said this concept can go any direction, but for a pivoted AU, this is just how I’d do it, going by what I assume Hasbro would still want with the 13 Primes being a component. Elements of Skybound would probably be here too, like Spike and Carly being those designs in particular.

But I think continuing where The Rebirth left off would be the better option, being the easiest to work with and with the already admittedly shoddy continuity of the G1 cartoon, you could pretty effortlessly add aspects of Skybound, IDW (and by that I mean characters like Nova, Rung, Rubble, Termagax, Three Fold Spark, etc) and the modern 13 lore.

Will do they do it? If they’re desperate enough, absolutely, but I don’t know if we’re entirely there yet. It’s getting closer and closer though.

✫ Only as rigorous with your health as a mother hen; having trouble sleeping? His voice is perfect for a story. Teary eyed? He’s been there, and he’s happy to work you through it. Not eating? If he doesn’t order you in a lavish dish, he’ll cook it for you himself.  

✫ Always eager to see and know what you’re up to, to provide adequate praise. Whatever it is you’re doing, Starscream will think you’re simply the best in. And to him, you are. A friendship bracelet? It belongs in a glass display. You’ve drawn something? Call up the Louvre. You want to bake? Gordon Ramsey can kiss your dust.  

✫ If there’s one thing you won’t lack, it’s his devout attention. Truly-he’ll drop other matters just to watch you, even if it’s only to animatedly listen to you babble, or watch some children’s show-he won’t be impatient, only kind, as you deserve.  

✫ In fact, often encourages you to do things you like, or to be small with him. He’s happy to come along for them, but he likes to see the world through your animated gaze, as passionate about you as you are about whatever subject.
