Runaway Rey Prompt

Fandom: Star Wars (Sequels)

Relationship: Kylo Ren/Ben Solo X Rey

Prompt: For whatever reason(s), Rey finds she just can’t stay at the resistance and runs off to the only who understands her – Kylo Ren/Ben Solo (who, of course, accepts her).

The rest of the resistance does not realize that Rey left of her own accord and think she’s been captured and is being held captive. Kylo/Ben does not disabuse them of this notion (either he thinks it safer for her, or he thinks it’s funny to string them along, or both).

There are many, failed, rescue attempts and negotiations for release.

Eventually, after like 2 years or something, Finn and Poe (and possibly a team) manage a more effective rescue attempt.

Poe should be the one to find Rey (because he seems like the more hot-headed one, and prone to jump to incorrect conclusions). And he finds Rey is quite pregnant. He quickly assumes that she was not exactly willing in this. Obviously he goes off on a rant about killing Kylo (bonus if Rey keeps trying to interrupt him and Poe just ignores her.)

How the explanation goes is up to writer.

Snap: It's not a big deal. I called Karé "mom" once and she's my wife.

Poe: Guys, jump on that! Snap is really weird.

Jess: Old news! But you calling General Organa "mommy"—

Poe: Hey, "mommy" is not on the table here.

Suralinda: You did call her "mom", dude.

Poe: You shut up. You're a liar. You almost exposed our location to the whole galaxy for an article!

Suralinda: Alright, alright. I was actually going to expose you for that story. I lie all the time. Everyone knows I lied about that, but the mom thing? That happened.

Poe: Aha! She admitted it! Suralinda is a liar!

Leia: I believe you—

Poe: Thank you.

Leia: —Son, do you want to talk about it over some tea?

Poe: ...I'd like that.

Grounded

Poe is grounded… unofficially. Technically not. Nothing’s really stopping Poe from flying. No one really can. No one would stop him if he jumped into an x-wing and flew away, so he’s not actually grounded. Leia is the only one who knows about this grounding, strictly speaking.

She doesn't mean to. She really doesn't mean to. But Poe has had far too many close calls recently, and after his little speech on Ryloth Leia can't help but worry. It feels awfully hypocritical – she'd been just like him. Willing to give it her all, damned be the consequences – but she cannot bear the thought of losing him. 

(She's already lost one son. She can't take losing another one.)

[Or; Leia more or less grounds Poe and feels a little guilty about it, but she has a good reason. Just trust her.]
