Space Ship - A playlist for an intergalactic party
Tumblr media
Some fun, up-beat, groovy music that just makes me very happy and genuinely think it would be great to party in some planet with your non-human friends. Lots of love folks! 💜
Featured: The B-52's, Prince, Dua Lipa, Tom Jones, and more. Inspired by Mart Attacks and the cantina from Star Wars.

I have a request for you, specifically.
What if when Han and Chewie were in the cantina and met with Obi-Wan and Luke, Han mentioned he had a passenger already there.
Obi-Wan doesn’t even think about it, until they get there and he sees a very familiar face.
Hondo.

HAPPY SCI-FI FRI, EVERYONE! -- LET'S PARTY LIKE WERE AT MOS EISLEY'S CANTINA.
PIC INFO: Spotlight on a 1978 "STAR WARS" Cantina aliens SW Fan Club poster, artwork by Bill Selby.
OVERVIEW: "This gorgeous painting was used for the iconic Cantina poster produced by Factors Etc. Inc. back in 1978. It was the very first Star Wars Fan Club poster and the art was commissioned by George Lucas himself. The poster is now rare and sought out by collectors. Over the many years, this art has gotten published in numerous books, magazines, and other various merchandising, such as trading cards and lunchbox.
Artist Bill Selby used 35mm color slides that Black Falcon Ltd (Lucas’ company before it became Lucasfilm) provided for reference. "STAR WARS" had been showing in the theaters for eight months when Selby began working on the Cantina poster project. Lucas’ instruction was to add all of the aliens in the cantina sequence into a grand scene. In the preliminary drawing, Selby had more creatures, but subsequently removed some of them because Lucas, limited by time and budget was unhappy with the way several aliens looked in the film's cantina scene."

Here comes the sun!! 💥 Remember we were talking about Wrecker‘s hugs? This one is clearly the deadliest – poor little cantina soup shinies 😂 You wanted it, so now get WRECKERED! 💣💥
I didn‘t plan this lighting! I just wanted to add some comic style lines for more dynamic and I thought, hm… this looks like Wrecker is shining… Okay, let him shine and decend upon these poor clones like the day of the last judgement 😂 Sorry not sorry for that, I had so much fun!
This is the first time I didn’t have a template for a face! Wreckers face is drawn completely free-handed and now I‘m a proud lil drawing padawan 🙈 Now roast me, what do you think about it 😂🙈

okay but can we talk about how fucking good the food would be in the Jedi Temple?? and all of the absolutely fucking baller and totally unique fusion dishes that would have to exist?? they're by far the most diverse group of beings we see in star wars, with lineages made up of people from all across the galaxy. the best food in that galaxy has got to be something from a lineage dinner table that's been made and modified by generations of Jedi and no-one ever wrote down

Had another fun Disneyland day today! I caved and finally got a Magic Band since I liked the design. I tried out the Bounty game for the first time, and it’s basically a game of “hot or cold” where you walk around Batuu and the magic band vibrates and glows red or green depending on how close you are to the bounty. Then you turn it in!
