— Rodger believes that almost all of his memories are fake because he is a toon (people just created a ‘life’ in the toons' head in order to make full-fledged personalities out of them). Link

— The termen ‘Twisted' is not known to Rodger. However, he is currently conducting three investigations.: 1) why the Medjers abandoned toons, 2) Why Dandy is looking for a corrupted Ichor, 3) the loss of Astro. Link. Perhaps the star boy went to look for books for Brigtney on the lower floors.. But why hasn't he been here yet? Link. An Ichor cluster disappeared on the lower floors, which greatly surprised Rodger. But now the toons have the opportunity to get previously unavailable supplies.. Did Astro do this? Link

holy shit this is a great hc.

Heres my two cents on this take:

Hear me out, what if their power thingy correlated to the stat they had 5 stars in, as well as taking their ability into play.

Astro: He has his 5 star stealth, and ability gives out stamina. Im thinking his magic moreso acts like gifts in disguise. A la nova effect (where something bad turns out to lead to something good).

His magic gifts stamina, which may seem pretty worthless to the average toons, but can definitely help those who are low.

Shelly: She has a 5 star skill check + her ability gives out extraction speed. I do like the idea given of making other joyous, but what if.. Her magic is one of those abilities that seem useless, but truly warrants success.

She gives you a bit more energy to make it through the day, or maybe she grants you a bit more motivation to work on a project. Just that little bit that makes it count. Who knows, maybe it stacks!

Vee: She has 5 star extraction speed, plus her ability to scan every floor. Now hear me out here, what if Vee was magical in the way magic is considered the norm in fantastical worlds. She does warrant magic, but not in the way you think.

Think of how science is basically earth's magic. She's sort of like that, but in a technilogical way. She's all the new tech of the age, she can hack, she can scan her surroundings, she's way past her time.

Sprout: He has 5 star stamina, along with his ability to heal people. Easy exit to this; healing magic. I wanna find a way to explore more possibilities on it though.

His stamina helps with making more pastries, but he still has care and precision (Bringing in the anon who mentioned how cosmo + sprout have small skill checks because of how precise they are). All works together to aid him in his hospitality.

Now, Anon mentions plant magic which I do find quite fun. I know plants and herbs have been commonly used as medicines and such, so what if Sprout's plant magic grows primarily medicinal herbs? I think that'd be kinda funky.

Sorry Pokemon fans, i’m still working on wolf’s poke team but I recently got obsessed with Dandy‘s world and I absolutely love the characters/lore! Although I love the designs, I did wanna take a swing at resigning them.

Headcannons-

Dandy and bobette have a healthy little rivalry, seeing how many tapes or ornaments the other can get in a short amount of time.

Cosmo has been adopted into the mains group purely because of sprouts association lol.

Vee not toxic! A little egotistical, but not toxic.

Spout’s not really good at baking, he’s learning from Cosmo

main can turn into their ‘twisted’ forms willingly, although when they do, they are not covered inchor. Think of them as protective altered forms (except pebble)

Astro’s 4 arms was caused by adding too much inchor when he was created.

The scientist made him very insecure about this, but now the mains are trying to make him feel better about it (especially Shelly)

Shelly is the shortest out of all of them but is surprisingly strongest.

Pebble is Dandy’s dog of course but the main take turns babysitting him.

They’re all trying to make up to Shelly for all the neglect/ignorance they put her through.

The star charm was given to Shelly by Astro as a ‘sorry gift’

Although they were all experimented on, the scientists pretty much tried to push Dandy to his full potential (or as far as he can go)

Dandy see tapes as a comfort, making him remember when times were simpler, which is why he gets so aggressive over them.

Dandy and Bobette bonded over their experience of being unwillfully experimented on.

Spout’s has trouble sharing his feelings to everyone, even Cosmo.

Vee has a Shelly plush that she talks to.

Although Astro can control dreams, to be able to give good dreams he must be in a good headspace,as in, if he would say stressed out about something he wouldn’t be able to give good dreams as often

no one knows if Dandy is truly trustworthy, but he’s been there for the longest so they made him the leader, a feared respected leader.

This feels like a good time to end this off. Want to show more of my head cannons about toon anatomy/headcannons in my au through drawing. If you’re wondering where Coal and Pebbles are,,, I have not drawn them yet- but I am planning to soon!

Dandy world concept (chapter 1), how it came to be...

Dandy was the first toon ever created by the facility. A creation of Delilah’s design. Of her whims and missed dreams of childhood.

He had one purpose: to be a star. What no one considered, was a star’s life expectancy and resulting, supernova.

“A star! That’s what you’ll be. The kids will love you!” Delilah’s words echoed in his mind, and Dandy smiled so wide his cheeks hurt. I’m a star, he thought. And that was all that mattered.

“Heya, gang!” Dandy called out as he rushed toward the group of main toons. They had all come after him—newer, lesser sparks in the galaxy he had claimed as his own. He liked to think of himself as their mentor, the one who taught them how to work the stage, captivate the audience, and bask in the limelight. Not that they ever quite measured up. They couldn’t. To outshine him would be not only blasphemous but also laughably impossible. As long as he burned brighter than the stars Astro held so dear, no one could hope to compete.

The group’s response was less enthusiastic. A chorus of groans rippled through them, led by Sprout and Vee. Astro and Shelly sat in silence. Shelly looked vaguely content, while Astro’s head dipped up and down, a losing battle against his ever-present exhaustion.

“I’ve got something after this. Can we speed it up?” Sprout waved a hand dismissively. He got along with the others well enough, but his relationship with Dandy was perpetually strained by the latter’s overbearing personality.

“Seedly—”

“Don’t call me that, Vee,” Sprout snapped, glaring.

Vee cleared her throat, pointedly ignoring him. “Seedly has a point,” she continued, emphasizing the name just to needle him further. “I’ve got a game show to host. This better not take long.” Her deadpan delivery only heightened the tension, as Sprout’s glare turned sharp enough to pierce through steel.

“Well–uhm–I just wanted to…” Dandy stuttered, fumbling desperately for the right words, trying to conjure his usual charisma to stall for time.

“I told Dandy to call you all here,” Delilah’s rough voice cut through his floundering like a sharp blade.

Dandy perked up immediately. Delilah, his greatest supporter, his biggest fan in the whole wide world, was here to back him up. Just her presence filled him with a rush of confidence, banishing any doubt.

Delilah strode into the room, her commanding presence making the toons straighten in their seats. She shifted, lowering herself into a nearby chair, the weight of her authority filling the space. Pulling out a bulky folder, she opened it and began to read in a matter-of-fact tone:

“A decision, unanimously made by the studio council, mandates that the main toons shall be featured 30% more in upcoming episodes.”

The room went still as her words sank in. Delilah scanned the group, her eyes lingering just long enough to make each toon squirm.

Sprout’s face twisted in frustration. “That doesn’t make sense!” he burst out, shooting to his feet. “Why in the world would they ask for more time? I can barely hang out with Cosmo for one day anymore!” His pent-up rage boiled over, his voice sharp with indignation.

“Sprout.” Delilah said sharply. Her voice shuts down any further argument with a looming presence.

Vee rolled her eyes but gave a small nod of agreement. She looked as tired as she sounded. “I haven’t rebooted in days,” she muttered, her tone sour. “Why doesn’t Dandy take on more work? I mean, he is your ‘big star,’ isn’t he?”
