Okay, that was the most perfection. More perfect that I could have imagined.
The man saying: "This trophy is 132 years old, it is the hardest trophy to win and the most iconic in all of sports. And to the first time tonight, the captain who receives it, is a player from Finland." Like, who says that?! Who says something so perfect and awesome? I will replay it on a loop. Quotes that go hard.
And then Aleksander Barkov is showed and in the back you'll see Sergei Bobrovsky, Aaron Ekblad and Evan Rodrigues, all happy and smiles and Bob and Evan patting Barkov and then Barkov smiles also. And then you see the finnish flag. Torille!
And then Barkov is already eager to go for a lap with the Cup. But photo first. And then he goes there and I guess he yells, if I hear correctly: "Let's go Finland!" Suomi perkele! How can it get more perfect than this??! Well, it can. Oh boy, it can. And the crowd noises. Music to my ears.
And then he goes and gives it to Bobrovsky. Could this be any better??! And Bob yelling a little bit and smiling so bright. Need to watch his joy on a loop.
And then, to my shock, my fave goalie, gives the Cup to ex-Sabres player, Kyle Okposo, who after hoisting the Cup in the air, yells a lot, and I love it.
And I will put it on repeat. This is what I wanted and more.
Them mentioning Finland, Aleksander Barkov getting to be the first to hoist the Cup. He, who so deserves it, and who is magnificent player. And him giving it to my number one favorite goalie Sergei Bobrovsky, who is beloved brick wall and more. And then him giving it to Kyle Okposo, who was earlier in my other favorite NHL team Buffalo Sabres. It feels like Buffalo Sabres has also won something. To me it feels that way. Kyle was amazing captain in Sabres and he so deserved this win also. I just love them.
I love them and I love Florida Panthers. ❤❤❤
Let's go Panthers!!! 🥳❤🎉❤

I’m sorry but reading the shit that some of the Oilers fans are posting on other social media apps is dumbfounding; I’m just flabbergasted.
I’m from Chicagoland. I want Chicago teams to win obviously, but I’m also very aware of the noxious spaces that these teams are.
The Blackhawks have been abhorrent in their behavior as an organization, and, unfortunately, that is sometimes being reflected onto Connor Bedard who didn’t really have a choice (you can argue a Cutter Gauthier situation but for a number one pick they would’ve waited him out all three years).
This is not a defense of the Blackhawks, I want to make that clear. However, Corey Perry, very clearly, did something wrong and they paid him $4 million for the privilege. He was supposed to help the young guys of the team and he did something so abhorrent that they terminated his contract and the grievance was resolved without disclosure to the media about what he did… This negatively impacts the future of the NHL because Connor Bedard is part of the future of the NHL. Regardless of the media denials, Corey Perry’s termination is, at least fleetingly, tied to Connor Bedard.
I feel sympathy for Connor McDavid (and his Conn Smythe winning ass) and Leon Draisaitl (I hope they win together), but the fact that people are coming onto social media to defend Corey Perry (especially as a fuck you to Matthew Tkachuk) is disgusting and as gross as people who say that the Blackhawks’ jerseys are the best.
That isn’t growing the game. That’s the definition of being a poor loser. These fans need to grow up.

Lol I love how ppl think the Leafs are losing because the big guys don't care enough. It's definitely not the defense and goaltending issues, it's clearly 16/34/88 throwing a tantrum because keefe is a big old meanie who won't let them sit next to each other on the bench or something...
real fjlksdjfkldsjfklds. you're a loser in this sport until you're not and instead of looking at realistically why that is and acknowledging that luck plays a bit of a role one way or another... you're just scum and don't try as hard as anyone else. like ???? how easily we're forgetting the beginning of the season when our problem was actually the opposite of what it is rn... we didn't show up on time and then "willed" ourselves back into games by scoring in bunches and going to ot. it's really not as simple as wanting it or not wanting it, and thinking those guys don't go out every night and actively try to win the game is fucking silly.
