let me share a few ships i think about in the delirious hours of the night

Paranoia and Stabbim (just a skutter acting out orders to kill when it descovers that maybe he's the only one who can get through to the hallucination without making him paranoid, will it reveal it's previous orders and expose it's decietfull job (stabber) and maybe break Paranoia's fragile trust in the process? or do the orders exceed the man (the skutter) and does the ultimate tragic of killing a loved one befall in the hands (claws) of Stabbim when he can't resist orders anymore)

Talkie the Toaster and support force (unrequited love, Talkie ne'er has time to ponder the importance of support force in his life, he knows it excists, but toast will always win out. and support force knows that. it's happy to just hold Talkie up and take any breadcrums it gets as long as it can)

Cat deepthroathing those polymorph eggs (it could've worked out if she hadn't died immediately and he wouldn've killed all her children, but life happens i get it)

the overly polite swordsmen and Rimmer's courage and self confidence (they're making out sloppy style, they spotter eachothers hats and swords from across the room and it has been escalating at an alarming speed)

Sir. Francis Walsingham and the "i am a fish" exam paper (he would gladly be the fish. proxcimity to dear people affecting how one behaves and all that)

Carter Burke and Rimmer (they die a horrible death together, the thought of the other there doesn't comfort them because they know both want to leave the other as a sacrifice and run, so they try to make themselves un-abandonable. doesn't work. they suffer horribly with all hope lost)

The Sister Brothers and the Rimmer Monster (it's lesbian/ gay solidarity as they bitch about the world. my favourite)

Literally gone through everything Rimmer has up to a certain point, where we can believe that she mellowed a bit when Jim and Bexley arrived. Plus there’s so much potential for headcanons if the og crew and hers ever met again. (I.e Both Rimmers transed their gender, can you imagine. Or one I’ve seen that I love is that raising Jim and Bexley made Arlene understand her love for Deb and they got married. While our Rimmer is still oblivious and deeply homophobic). The possibilities people!

The Red Dwarf 30 Day Challenge

Day 11 - Favourite Series 1 episode

I like series one a lot, and this was a tough one (aren’t they all?), and there are parts of every episode that I love, but I think my favourite from the series has to be Confidence and Paranoia. I love that scene where Rimmer’s trying to get Cat to help Lister, where Cat keeps getting up like he’s going to run out of the room and then as soon as Rimmer turns away he just sits down and carries on with his food, and that whole ‘Stabbim” thing, and my and my family all still say “Oxygen’s for losers” to each other whenever the opportunity arises (which is quite often, oddly).

Not to mention I love the concept of there being a Confidence and a Paranoia inside everybody, because it actually makes so much sense.

The Red Dwarf 30 Day Challenge

Day 27: An episode featuring the Skutters Better than Life again...(Rimmer is a woobie...*sigh*) I didn’t realized how much I like this episode. And the John Wayne fan club

Stabbim in Confidence and Paranoïa is very fun and the Skutter family at the end of Parallele Universe are really cute too. But there’s nothing as sweet as those two droids dressing up and playing pretend in the Red Dwarf corridors.

Jour 27: Un épisode avec les Skutters Better than Life...à nouveau (je ne sais pas s’il y a un équivalent français à Woobie, mais ce choupinou de Rimmer a définitivement besoin d’un calin... *soupir*). Je n’avais pas réalisé à quel point j’aimais cet épisode. Et donc, le fan club de John Wayne. Stabbim est très drôle dans Confidence et Paranoïa, la famille de Skutter à la fin de Parallele Universe est adorable. Mais il n’y a rien de plus mignon que ces deux droïdes qui se déguisent et jouent comme des gamins dans les couloirs du vaisseau.

One of the best ideas for a villain imo. Being not only killed but also being erased so you never existed in the first place? That’s terrifying. I think they put the dwarfers in the most trouble they’ve ever been in. Plus the dynamic of being judged by yourself is just so cool.
