[ID: marker art of a puffin with handwritten text that reads "there will be a time when today's problems aren't so heavy" in messy all caps. cane users are valid-- we are pm full time cane users, and we're thinking about getting forearm crutches cause our cane isn't giving much support anymore. we have a rollator walker but its big and we're a little ashamed to use it cause things our mom says and how people will look at us. it's also big and we don't want to take up space. but our rollator walker helps a lot. we need to move out soon so we can be ourselves.. mom doesn't like the idea of us getting forearm crutches but we think theyll give us bettee support than our canes.. we are actively saving for a pair now.. - Pip

I created this drawing years ago but I still love it. Makes me want to start consistently creating in a nice art journal again. And fill it entirely with stuff like this 🤍🩶🖤

a few months ago I finally got a walking cane. it's now that I started to share art on it openly
just a few minutes after setting it up I nearly cried from being able to get off the ground without much pain or go down the stairs without my hip feeling as if it was being stabbed— I can't even start to properly describe the amount of confidence it gives me

I keep getting into “freeze” states, enough that I made a comic about it. Like, you know, “fight or flight” or freeze. Also, it has my late cat Tobs in it, who you may know from my recent Sketchbook Comics post. Doing a very similar Tobs thing of cuddling me while I laid around anxiously! He was a good cat and a good friend.
I’ve just sent it out as part of my monthly comics mailings on the counterintuitive patre@n. I’d still send it to you if you signed up for the $1 or $20 tiers soon!

OPEN COMMISSIONS
Hey y'all, commissions are open and kinda emergent. I have not been paid by my main job in two months despite rendered services, and things have slowed down with supplemental clients. I've been managing tho, up until this week's client canceled. I have my important belongings in storage and the last day I can pay is in six days then it goes to auction. So since I'm quite literally not doing other work and options with no transportation on short notice are limited, arting it is! I understand things are tight for people right now so if you can't commission right now, please boost and help a disabled enby queer and their 3 doggos out this pride.
Pay is due up front, message for PP, C&shapp, or V3nmo info. Turn around dependent on place in queue, approx two weeks.
Edit- 7/12/2023: Currently have both units behind but paid for last month so that the lien process is delayed. Car insurance due date was adjusted, which is also attached to my license validity, and has to be paid for last month and this month by the 20th, so I need 400 in eight days. Been working two different jobs on top of trying to get commissions but can only get so much while car is down and it's really only been enough to maintain my food and phone bill atm🙃 boosts are very much appreciated.

My life went haywire shortly after I had this idea... I now want to revisit it, along with also using the usually-discarded packaging to create other decorative and/or functional objects, possibly even using the things to upcycle other unwanted items.
I'll be working on some prototypes to get opinions on in the (hopefully) near future!
🩷 Would anyone be interested in buying eventually, assuming you can afford to?
🧡 Any ideas of objects should include in the products?
💛 Do you think this is a bad idea? You can send me an anonymous ask if you don't want to say who you are. 😊
💚 I'm truly open to all opinions! 😊

Making someone feel seen, heard, and not alone is still out loudest way to love them.
That's why I created this account. I know that having chronic illness can make you feel invisible and alone.
I see you. I hear you and you're not alone anymore.

A sketch of a serval cat I made back in June.
I was sick for three weeks, so in week two I started this drawing and then finished it week three. Currently still dealing with post-sickness symptoms on top of my regular ailments.
I started this year healing from a surgery that took 7 months to heal, so I only dabbled in a tiny amount of watercolor here and there but mostly sketching in bed whenever I felt well enough. Hopefully I can get back into painting soon but I found it's best not to pressure things to happen. It'll happen when the time is right.
I don't normally date my work but I decided this one needed a date to remind myself that I made a cool picture while really sick. That's pretty rad.

"glow"
the illustration is started sometime after an event that happened a few months back, when I tried a more affordable pain med brand only to end having a flare up because they did not work at all.
it was bad enough to remind me of the days before being diagnosed and starting medications, back when the pain was so strong I sometimes couldn't even keep my eyes open because that hurt too
I'm still unhappy about the whole ordeal, though at the very least I can say I am back on track, with a brand that is both affordable and trustworthy
fibro might be invisible to the average person, but to those with it, it has an appareance. for me it's plants, constellations and sometimes insects
the dots and growths are where pain is worst, but it doesn't stays there. it continues through the paths and roots, shifting places sometimes at random like butterflies trying to find more nectar to feed on
#I am so so proud wiyh how this yurned out 🥺#also the hydrangeas I had never drawn so many for a piece I believe#ana.doods#artists on tumblr#chronic pain#spoonie artist#fibromyalgia#chronic pain awareness

“Sketchbook Comic” is my personal sketchbook, where I juxtapose my art with writing about my experiences as a non-binary, chronically ill person.
read the whole book here!
patreon link in bio - no pressure, but any little bit helps!
