Still early to tell but the vibes Jeremy’s grandfather gives me after reading the book is a cross between the grandfather in We Were Liars and Logan Roy. I think the competition was fierce and Jeremy was winning. I think his little brother couldn’t stomach the pressure and killed himself. I think losing with kindness is so much better in Jeremy’s mind than winning ruthlessly because he’s paid the price once already.

in aftg, neil is so focused on riko coming down with his racket to hit him that it seems like andrew comes out of no where to save him but i love that jean sees it. and it’s not like he just moves out of goal or anything, no, he HAULS ASS to get to neil to save him. that to me says everything. i love them so bad

Jean looks dead into Andrew's eyes and tells him that he won't be fast enough to save Neil the next time someone takes a swing because of his smoking.

How cruel it must have felt to be on his knees just 3 WEEKS later - collarbone shattered watching while Neil was curled in on himself at the end of a racquet from another Raven and Andrew too slow to stop it ?!

Anyway the next time we see him with a cigarette he's crushing it in his fist.
