These are all the Star Names of the cats who died before they became Warriors. In my rewrite, cats who die before receiving their Warrior Names receive Star Names, which they grow into in StarClan. The bolded names on the left of the equal sign are the Star Names, while the names on the right of the equal sign were the cats’ names when they died.

The Manta ray is the largest of more than 500 species of rays. The name manta means blanket in Spanish and was given to them due to their large flat diamond shaped bodies that resemble the spreading of a blanket as they gracefully glide through the water. There are two recognized species of manta rays; Giant oceanic mantas (Mobula birostris) and Reef mantas (Mobula alfredi). Both live up to 50 years and are known for being highly intelligent. Their ability to memorize and map terrain through sight and smell is an indication of highly developed long-term memory. Manta rays also recognize their own reflection and are believed to be self-aware. Reef mantas, the smaller of the two species, are sighted far more often than Giant mantas because they stay near shore and tend to be curious. They usually grow to around 3.5 meters but can get up to 5.5 meters. Giant oceanic manta rays have a wingspan of up to 9 meters and weigh as much as 3000 lbs. Wary of human interaction, they live offshore in open water and are believed to migrate much farther than reef mantas. For positive manta interactions hover away from cleaning stations and wait for them to investigate you. These curious beauties will swim quite close to check you out if you’re patient and non-aggressive. If you chase them their powerful pectoral fins will carry them away in a flash. Like fingerprints, patterns on the bellies of mantas are unique. Researchers use the patterns to identify and track mantas. You can help them by photographing the underside of mantas and submitting photos online at MantaMatcher.org All mantas are currently listed as “vulnerable to extinction” on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. There numbers have decreased significantly over the past 20 years due to overfishing and the use of their gill rakers in traditional Chinese medicine. Word of the Week: Arschbombe

You're standing at the edge of the swimming pool, getting read to jump in. As you make the leap, you bring your knees in as close as you can and wrap your arms around them. You tuck in your chin and get ready for the impact. Like a cannonball, you meet the water with a huge splash - one that grabs the attention of other kids and provokes glares from angry sunbathers trying to stay dry.

You have just created an Arschbombe.

The German word Arschbombe describes the type of jump that creates the biggest splash in the water. In English, we refer to this as a "cannonball jump". But the German word is even more amusing; literally translated, it means "butt bomb". There's no need to describe why; anyone who has jumped into a pool cannonball-style knows that their rear end hits the water first - like a bomb.

Kids particularly love Arschbomben; these type of jumps have the greatest impact on the water and leave the biggest impression on bystanders. To perfect an Arschbombe, it is important to jump high (preferably from a diving board, if there is one) and to tuck your arms and legs in as much as possible. The more spherical your body is shaped, the bigger the splash.

There is truly an art to perfecting the Arschbombe. So much, in fact, that people from around the world compete in the so-called Splashdiving Championship - an annual competition that is taking place in Sindelfingen, Germany this weekend. The competition seeks to find those who create the biggest splash. Contestants are judged by the degree of difficulty of the jump and the size of the resulting splash. In many cases, the preferred jumping style is the Arschbombe.
